Okay so i'm having a hard time trying to find a cellphone. Just as well as other members i'm sure.

Heres the place to post names, pictures, or if owned, reviews of what you think the best cell phone is.
If the cell phone you listed has a thread then link the thread as well. It would be helpful to others wanting to know more about the phone.

When posting the "best cell phone" it could be for looks, features, anything. This is your opinion : )
If this thread is already made then feel free to shut this down. If not then get to postin people.

^horrible picture, seriously you have to see it in real life

So I have an LG Dare under the phone company Telus and it's been a little over a week since I've bought it. :-) It's got the quality of a smartphone at the price of a regular cell phone<3 The first and the main reason I like it so much is because it's so customizable, you can edit your pictures, your menu (in black or white), you can change the font, and you can drag around the icons on the main screen, like a computer's main screen. It has a hole on the corner for you to attach your cute cell phone charms. ;-))) The only things I do with a cell phone are text, take pictures, and listen to music so I'm basing my reasons for liking the phone on those reasons. The texting is really good/quick with T9/word and you can even hold your phone to the side and the screen will change to a full keyboard for you to text (it's a bit hard to text with the full keyboard tho). Music is the same as any other phone, a good thing is that the earphone hole is the same as an iPod, so you can just use your regular earphones rather than having to use the crappy earphones that cell phones come with, with those nerdy mics attached-_- Lastly is the CAMERA! The quality is absolutely amazing, it's got great reviews for being one of the best cameras in phones (Schneider lens). I sselca 24/7 with it! OH and the battery life is absolutely amazing, it beats all phones! I text 24/7 and I can last without charging the battery for three days, possibly four. :-D

I will also list the downsides for you. Like any other touch phone, YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH SCRATCHING ON THE SCREEN. I recommend keeping the screen protector that comes with the phone on. You'll regret it if you end up getting a huge scratch across the screen. :-( also when you call, since it's a touch phone if you press your face against the screen it'll get dirty. Oh and what I've noticed is that you can't change the brightness! I wanted to turn it a bit down to save the battery but apparently you can't change it... lol and lastly, you might not like it because when compared to the Samsung Instinct, the screen is a bit smaller and the phone is a bit thicker. Honestly though I have friends who have the Instinct and they tell me that their phone is crap. Reviews showed that the phone is slower with very limited custom functions, the volume on the receiving side of calls (so the phone that is being spoken to from the Instinct) gets really bad sound quality. The list goes on and on, you can type in Instinct vs Dare vs iPhone on Google and you'll get tons of reviews. Obviously the iPhone will place first, I must say iPhone ftw except it's really expensive(n)

I knew I had to do research for it since my mom would make me have a three-year plan, so I did for a few days. I've done a LOT of research for many of the phones because available in Telus, Rogers, Bell, Fido, Virgin Mobiles, Koodo, and Solo, and I can tell you that this phone is THE ONE:-) Feel free to PM me about any questions on the phone!

iPhone. You should know what it looks like :3.

It looks awesome, the applications are crazy and the OS is unbelievably fluid. The only downer is the price of the plan sad.gif.

everybody will probably have their own preferences so the perfect phone for someone else might not be the perfect phone for you. But I also agree with the iphone.
tomatomato
iphone it is. it has everything in one and does it pretty well as far as a phone goes. easy to maneuver around the internet too. downside is it's chunky

As everyone would say, the iPhone is supposedly the best phone on the market. For consumers anyway. I don't know if it would be suitable for those in the corporate or business industry. The iPhone is very nice though indeed, great display, great applications, great user interface. However it's design seems a bit lacking. The camera isn't as great either. And for the number of people who are "text crazy", they might find it difficult and inconvenient to type using the touchscreen. Such as someone like me, which is why even though many think the iPhone is the best, I would say that the Blackberry is the best but that's just my opinion. Of course if you don't need to text, email, or instant message like crazy then having a physical QWERTY keyboard doesn't matter too much but i choose Blackberry because it is very straight forward and gets things done. I think they look sexy too!

iphone hands down...
i thought it was stupid when it first came out, but when i got one...
HOLY CRIPES!
it was amazing

Blackberry smile.gif

i love it, has everything i need. from fast-texting to putting in all my data (games, pictures, music)
and as long as it has a case, it's hard for it to break/become damaged.

i love my bb
CupcakeCandy
Htc Magic, at first i didn't like it before i got my hands on it due to it being fully touchscreen, but after I got my hands on it I LOVED IT biggrin.gif. It fits perfectly in my hand and the supposed chin it has doesn't bother me. I actually forgot it's there. biggrin.gif
There is no 'real' charm hole but on the back theres a little hole at the bottom, just big enough to fit the string for a charm. I suggest highly to get a screen protector and case for it since it can scratch easily when dropped.

am i the only one that thinks iphone is ugly? i mean seriously, i know its a touch phone but...apple can do better than THAT.
best phone i think are japanese phones that are FULLY functioning. They are pretty, they are stylish, full of functions, and kick a-- screen! and not to mention they have awesome camera and some are touch screen flipphones.

you can go online (in japan) with the phones here.
basically there are 2 ways to go online:

1. is via the cell phone's viewer (in my case, i have au, so it's "ezweb", docomo is "i-mode", i dunno the others).
you can only view cell phone compatible sites like facebook mobile or msnbc mobile.

2. go online via the "pc site viewer".
you basically get a full html website on your cell phone.
the problem with that is that it's expensive, and some of the phones can't handle sites with a lot of flash.
if you want to look at youtube, etc. then it's better to pick a phone that can handle it, but for the most part almost all japanese cell phones can go online.

the iPhone IMO;
just beacuse of all the application, its pretty organized too.
I don't have it myself, but I've gone through lots of phones and I'm always envious of my friends. It has the best browser for wifi, enables youtube videos, you can download alot of additional applications to your prefernce which is also good. I like it better then the blackberry since I don't always have to connect it to my computer to download any additional jazz.

Japanese phones ARE the sexiest, but here they're pretty much useless.
No bluetooth
No personal ringtones
No T9
No internet connection
UGLY SIGNAL, mayb its cus of the hypersim, but in lectures I would have no signal me and my other friend with the same phone, yet some dude with a basic Telus phone would have 3 bars. -__-
My phone was known for being a digital TV phone, but where the heck am I going to get a digital tv transmitter?
It's harder to use and adjust to because of the hypersim, which for me always lose connection, and lets say I would be out with my friends and I needed to call them, once the hypersim looses connection I can only reset it if I put my simcard into another phone -___- ! thats the worst for me.

The only thing that I liked was the rotating LONG screen, cute as hell menu and camera.
It had alot of other functions, like bar code reader? LOL but what am I going to do with that.
Sorry I'm angst cus of my old phone D:!
Rachaelsol
Yea, I love my iPhone aha.

I used to be hecka iffy on them, but I'm so happy with mine (:

downsides?
No video, but if you really needed this you could get the 3gs.
Sometimes a little laggy, but i actually think its pretty fast for a smartphone.

and i have mms now !

i meant would i be able to go on the internet with phones from japan since I am in the US and because i have Tmobile service and i thought japanese phones uses their own specific network. And also do those phones have wifi? Cus if i cant use the internet with my own data plan and it doesnt have Wifi then it is basically useless.

You're going to be gimped using a Japanese phone in many ways. The iphone will win over a japanese phone with simply the OS. Sure you may have a better camera and a better screen, but the pure functionality is going to side with the iphone.

High specs and crazy features can only go so far when the interface is lacking, clunky, and not fluid.

besides all those touchscreen phones what's a good one?

Blackberry Bold ftw <3

BB Bold has the best graphics in the entire universe, not to mention the sound is just crystal. loads of functionalities too (ms word and all that other shiz, you can also download additional apps), can hold up to 32gb microsd. and it's QWERTY. QWERTY just makes you want to type loads and loads.

These days it is down to what everyone said

iPhone - because of functions it packs (it pretty much has everything) and it also has a application store for more further fun stuff (seriously some apps and games are really addictive and kool)

or

Blackberry - for its stylish/sophisticated look ( full keypad if yu dont like texting on a touch screen) and its system of BBM where yu can text to anyone with a blackberry for free. Im not too sure about applications on this phone tho, since i havent actually played with one before

i defiantely agree (: well i don't have the blackberry bold now. but i've had the curve before and i have to say the bb with the full QWERTY keyboard is SOOOOO helpful [maybe it's just cause im a massive texter and i find it easier to txt], but i've also hd the iphone too but prefer the bb more. Its a lot more stylish, and personally is the perfect phone. (: It's faster than a lot of the phones [i'm using the LG KP500 and it is SOOO LAGGY ><"] and is highly at the top of the list with the iphone. (: so! (: <333
i can't wait til i get my BB Bold X3 <3

i don't know how unlocked japanese phones work in the US.

i don't think most japanese phones have wifi. the reason is japan isn't big on wifi, so, no one here uses it.

for internet, japanese ppl can use it with their japanese phones when they go overseas, but it costs a lot.
i don't know why it doesn't work in the US/canada, but i don't know the technology.

is the iphone really that great?
i think the touch screen is neat, but other than that, i don't see anything interesting about it.

*shrugs*
