^horrible picture, seriously you have to see it in real life
So I have an
LG Dare under the phone company Telus and it's been a little over a week since I've bought it. :-) It's got the quality of a smartphone at the price of a regular cell phone<3 The first and the main reason I like it so much is because it's so customizable, you can edit your pictures, your menu (in black or white), you can change the font, and you can drag around the icons on the main screen, like a computer's main screen. It has a hole on the corner for you to attach your cute cell phone charms. ;-))) The only things I do with a cell phone are text, take pictures, and listen to music so I'm basing my reasons for liking the phone on those reasons. The texting is really good/quick with T9/word and you can even hold your phone to the side and the screen will change to a full keyboard for you to text (it's a bit hard to text with the full keyboard tho). Music is the same as any other phone, a good thing is that the earphone hole is the same as an iPod, so you can just use your regular earphones rather than having to use the crappy earphones that cell phones come with, with those nerdy mics attached-_- Lastly is the CAMERA! The quality is absolutely amazing, it's got great reviews for being one of the best cameras in phones (Schneider lens). I sselca 24/7 with it! OH and the battery life is absolutely amazing, it beats all phones! I text 24/7 and I can last without charging the battery for three days, possibly four. :-D
I will also list the downsides for you. Like any other touch phone, YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH SCRATCHING ON THE SCREEN. I recommend keeping the screen protector that comes with the phone on. You'll regret it if you end up getting a huge scratch across the screen. :-( also when you call, since it's a touch phone if you press your face against the screen it'll get dirty. Oh and what I've noticed is that you can't change the brightness! I wanted to turn it a bit down to save the battery but apparently you can't change it... lol and lastly, you might not like it because when compared to the Samsung Instinct, the screen is a bit smaller and the phone is a bit thicker. Honestly though I have friends who have the Instinct and they tell me that their phone is crap. Reviews showed that the phone is slower with very limited custom functions, the volume on the receiving side of calls (so the phone that is being spoken to from the Instinct) gets really bad sound quality. The list goes on and on, you can type in Instinct vs Dare vs iPhone on Google and you'll get tons of reviews. Obviously the iPhone will place first, I must say iPhone ftw except it's really expensive(n)
I knew I had to do research for it since my mom would make me have a three-year plan, so I did for a few days. I've done a LOT of research for many of the phones because available in Telus, Rogers, Bell, Fido, Virgin Mobiles, Koodo, and Solo, and I can tell you that this phone is THE ONE:-) Feel free to PM me about any questions on the phone!
