k. so i didnt know where exactly to post this because polaroids arent exactly digital cameras.. anywhoos i know polaroid the company doesnt sell them anymore and fujifilm have their own versions but does anyone know what the pictures come out like? cause i really liked how the old pics came out .. like kind of faded and old .. ?? lol i heard the new films are clearer but i wasnt too sure..

i'm very interested in them too.. i hope someone can spare some details =)

i just received my mini instax - white today! imma try it out tomorrow so i might be able to load pics up sometime during the week~ but i was wondering if anyone knew how long the film pack (of 10) lasts once i put it into the camera. is there a certain time i should use it all up by or can it sit there for a couple weeks? >< aha sorry for asking a question on ur thread

I thought the faded look was mostly from old film? I guess the camera and lens could play a role in that.

@jenniful92 I don't think it really matters as long as the film itself doesn't expire.

I have the instax in choco. I love it.

The pictures are much clearer than polaroids. It's pretty surprising, actually.



I bought mine in Korea-- but they're cheap in HK. In the states, you can either get it off ebay or go to urban outfitters. My friend liked mine so much she bought hers off amazon.

I've recently got this camera, and I'm loving it! It takes amazing shots. Something about film just excites me so much.

i just got the camera last month. my friend bought it from japan. i love it. the quality of the picture is great. love it! its much much better than the original polaroid.

i love how every picture turns out a bit differently. sometimes its kinda fade, sometimes its clear. i guess its based on the lighting.

It really depends on your aperture settings. I'm pretty sure hers is the Instax Mini, judging from the size of the photo.

i was going to buy the hello kitty mini instax one but then i saw theres a newer verison ~ mini instax 55 ( i ) so im going to get that instead ah ^---^

Actually a lot of people are hoping for Fujifilm to buy the rights to the polaroid. SAVE POLAROID. I don't know what I'd do without the classic polaroid.

The instax is nice and compact...you can selca and they are adding some new stuff, but the whole amazingness of polaroid is the fact that's it's simple. It'll always stay simple and that's what makes it irreplaceable.

I want this camera so badly. Hopefully I'll be able to find it when I head off to China.

well according to here, mini 7s is the standard model
and mini 55i is the best
but i like the chocolate colour of 7s so much!
cant decide which to get..
i'm most probably going to get it in japan when i go there in 2 months time..

the one i got cost about $66.90, but including film and shipping it cost $143.38.
i got the white one btw, but since you're a guy i'd get the brown one.

Well, I got mine for about $50-55USD and it's the Fujifilm Instax 7s and about $7-8USD per film box (10 each).
I don't know what the place is called.. sorry haha.. but I know it was in Mong Kok, by Sneaker street. That's not the real name of the st, but that's what it's commonly known as apparently.
Inside it was a bunch of DSLRs, but there's this own section towards the back that says 'fujifilm' that sells all fujifilm instaxes.
LOLLLLL SO VAGUE, I KNOW, but I hope explaining it might make it easier T_T~

There was also this place that sold a lot of anime stuff, posters, clothes, CDs, etc. with like 4 stories in Mong Kok with a very small camera store that sold Holgas and Instaxes. Instax was about $45USD haha.
That's vague toooo, but maybe someone you know who lives in Hong Kong might know what I'm talking about LOL

if you ever want to buy an old polaroid camera, i will recommend going to a thrift store. it's cheaper than buying it online. i got my camera for $3. film is harder to find, but i heard that polaroid will start making instant film again in 2011.

i am planning to get the instax 7s , i see a lot of korean stars using / having one and i would like one too . it looks really fun to use ! i'd bring it when i go traveling . i checked on ebay, and there are some that have 50 photos included .

from what i can tell , they're releasing a limited edition set on October 16th (this friday ! ) which comes with vintage Polaroid items. the cost is $450 US dollar.


then next year , they're planning on re-releasing a Polaroid model that was released a while ago , its limited edition so i'm guessing it won't be mass produced ?



fear not for those who think they are only releasing instant polaroids for a limited amount of time, they're also planning a release of a polaroid two next year .

I'm excited that they're going to produce the film again, but we still have to wait till next year right? I can't wait since I found a sx-70 lying around, the original very first ones, but I have no clue if it works or not. Would anyone happen to know if there is a way to see if it works without the actual film? I'm not patient enough to wait a whole year for it but I don't have money to spend like $60 on film off ebay. =[

if you have an empty sx-70 or 600 film pack u can try putting it in and see. hopefully the battery still works =]

Just got my new Fuji Instax 7S (Choco) earlier this morning. I ♥ it.

i used to have the mini 7 but i just sold it yesterday.... cuz i upgraded to 55i! :D


the timer function on this one is pretty useful! and its lighter since it uses 1 smaller battery compared to 4AA batteries!! i like it a lot!

BTW does anyone have any suggestions on what coloured markers are good for writing on instax? i see some on ebay but its so exp =_=
