Hi all badminton nerds/fans!

Ive been playing with the HL8800 (Dragon) racket and I feel that its time I get a second racket. In my opinion, this racket is good because it is lightweight and not too stiff (and sexy :D). I'm not experienced with buying rackets. I play mixed doubles, but I would like to have a racket that is good for playing doubles and singles too. I've used my brother's Armortec 900, but it felt a bit too heavy and stiff for me. I am considering getting another HL8800, or buying a HL9000 to try it out. Any recommendations?

Badminton experience: 1 year
Position: Mixed
Current Racket: HL8800- Dragon
Desired racket type: Not too stiff, preferably lightweight
Used to play: All-around, or doubles

I'm not too experienced but the Armotec is more for offensive players (smashers) because of its weight. I'd recommend getting a Yonex nanospeed since it's pretty light, however it's also a bit stiff. I'm currently using a nanospeed and it's great. It's light, and I can still smash pretty well with it.

try head racquets, that are at least 85g or less. (: and make sure it is a head-light or even balance racquet!
I would highly recommend Head Metallix 8000, Airflows, or Lites (since most airflows except the 5 are gone ): ) I play singles, mixed, and doubles too, so yeah. An Armortec 900tech is really light, stiff, and not to heavy. I'm a light racquet user, myself. (:

As the above user recommended, Yonex Nanospeeds are really nice, some are heavy though, for their type, but they break easily if you clash racquets a lot or whatever. So be careful with those. I would just recommend a Yonex Armortec 900 technique (80-85g) or a Head Metallix 8000 (85g). But if you really want light (80-85g) racquets go for the Airflows and Lites from Head.
