theres a nice cafe on san pablo if you're 21 or over theres a bar game place in san pablo too buy some drinks and play board games, it's fun :]

there are also lots of other things you can do outside of berkeley :]

Isn't Berkeley just less than an hour away from San Francisco? Shouldn't there be things to do there?

I'm applying to Berkeley and it's high on my list. I'm from NY so I know nothing about california..let alone the berkeley area.

I was assuming there'd be plenty to do at sanfran, or just the berkeley campus...but is it THAT boring and dull there?!?!

Of course I know that San Francisco is 30min. to an hour away but who has time to do that on weekdays? And going out that far even on weekends isn't as easy as it sounds. Anyway, there's not much to do on campus or around campus but I'm sure later on in the semester, I'll be too busy with school work anyway.

anywho....a berkeley meet sounds kinda fun, but we should do it soon, before the work picks up. and you should know by now that workload just increases like exponentially

its not that its hard to make friends. Its just that....in my experience, ppl just tend to not want to get to know each other unless there is that "right" senario, which almost never ever happens. That plus whereas in high school, you didn't need to take much effort to meet ppl and get to know them....the only real effort was to keep in touch with them out of school. However, in college, you gotta make effort to meet ppl, take effort to get to know people, and make effort to keep in touch afterwards....why else do you think you make so few friends from class and mostly from your dorm?

and if u do make friends in classs...its usually friends of friends.
Most of my friends are from my house, with the exceptional few that i am quite close with...which i met in class...but thats hard to come by

this week I am pretty enslaved by the books.
Sat or Sun... pref. Sunday is pretty good.
I am down to study w/ anyone that really wants to study though.
During the week that is. HEH.

oh, LOL! It is!!! I went to it too! I thought it was pretty horrible... disorganized.. and.. blegh. We'll see how the next meeting is I don't want to pay and join and then find out... it's not any better than the first meeting I went to. Hah. Graduating senior here

Berkeley is like...boring in itself. I just hang out at friends' apartments and they come over to mine/etc. And we go eat at the ghetto. That's all we do in Berkeley. BUT. Thank goodness SF is so close. Friends and I go shopping there all the time (SHOPPING IS GREAT IN SF <33333333 and last week they had the BEST sales so I got loads of stuff <3333333). I also go clubbing there from time to time (when friends drive me ;D it's pretty impossible if you don't have a car)

BTW even though I've been here for almost 4 years I'm still not used to all the bums on the streets. And the constant smells of urine or barf or pot or a combination of those bug the hell out of me.

i dont really remember anyone from AAA...there were too many people...because my friend and i went, and then we left before it even started...i mean, we were seated but then we left before anything started . DOnt plan to go back either...
