Lamborghini started off making tractors way back in the 50's. Its a legendary story of how the founder of Lambo bought a Ferrari that was basically a "lemon" and complained, and Mr Ferrari told him off for being a farmer, so he started up Lamborghini to make race cars to prove Ferrari wrong.

Nah Ferrari sold out to Fiat, Lambo went bust and sold out to some Asian investors, and they went bust and sold it to some Russians I think, which got passed finally to Audi/VW today.
