having it, its a good phone but don't use stock rom.
use a custom rom and if you need help, let me know.

I was looking at that phone before too.. but Tmobile will require a 2 yr 3g data contract

That's just utterly complete BS, i hate it. There ARE people out there who would like to have these phones and not use your crappy data plan.

Buy the phone outright on ebay but search for htc magic.

Also when you do get it dont use the stock rom, put the hero rom on it.

just for everyones information, IT IS NOT REQUIRED to have the data plan for the G1, MT3G, etc.
when you login to tmobile.com, you can change your phone to anything excluding the smartphones (nokia is what i chose) to a phone and delete your data package.

plus, wifi is everywhere...well almost lol
