Kim Kyung Ho was brilliant (I run a website on him / Kim Kyung Ho: UK) but i'm afraid to say that he is well and truly past his golden age. He sounded fantastic back in the day, but the extreme abuse he put on his vocal chords was just asking for trouble. It has had a major impact on his music today, and all we really get from him now is an average K-pop ballad since he doesn't have the vocal dexterity anymore to pull off anything close to "Heartless / Last Prayer / Freeman / Wine", etc. Songs like "Escape" serious ruined his voice!!!! His last release of any notable value was "The Life" album. With the exception of "Dear Father", Open Your Eyes was not Kim Kyung Ho; it was a regular K-Pop singer trying to release a few rock tracks.

Nobody could touch him in the late 90's except maybe Park Min-Kyu from Windflower (what ever happened to him?) but today there are far better singers. Lee Hyuk is fantastic, he just needs to get rid of that idiot (Jobin) who seems to be tagging along for whatever reason. Lee Hyuk has a cleaner vocal sound though (similar to that of glam metal vocalists of the 80's) but Kim Kyung Ho was this rock singer, with a vibrato and power akin to Shirley Bassey, and a scream similar to Michael Sweet of Stryper. Amazing and completely unique! happy.gif

Unfortunately, Alive sounded like a collection of all the naff tracks from various early albums that nobody really listened to much (eg: For the First time from the 1st album). Still, I'm always keeping up with how he is doing, and I'm happy he managed to have the surgery to heal his Avascular Necrosis smile.gif
