I liked RSX's at one point. But for some reason, I just grew out of the look. I then started loving the 4 door Si's more... but not the American front, but the jdm one.

edit: god damn. hot linking doesn't work with this particular url.

how much does it cost if its my first car?

My brother has one and my cousin has one. My brothers is black automatic and my cousins is like that burnt orange color type s. I gotta say its an awesome car to drive because the handling is so tight.
90th.degree
Time Attack style wheels don't really go with the first car, bronze or white maybe.

for the most part I can appreciate a good RSX (I would get one if I could afford the car and insurance), but the latest Civic in a 4-door style, or the Canada-Only Acura CSX from 06-08 are more my style, and have that sedan practicality.

A4 is sexy for sure. My dad will be getting one soon whenever he finally decide to let go of his ML500. laugh.gif He's gonna trade it in for the A4.

First car? How old are you and how long have you had your license? It also depends on your insurance. But insurance for RSX's are expensive because...its a 2door sports car. Especially for a young, first time driver, it's going to be very pricey. I already had my license for 3 years with no citations or accidents and it was going to cost me around $3,000. It depends on your coverage of the car and which insurance company you're with.

My boyfriend & my cousin has one.
They're pretty cool but I like Celicas more. ^^;

Yeah same here. Its one of those cars that look instantly good first time you see it, and the appeal diminishes... as opposed to those cars (impreza, some Mercedes) that dont look good at first, then grow on you.

What jakex1 said. Being under parent's insurance is cheaper, but probably not much because it's still a "sports" car. Ask your parents to ask your agent for a quote on it. Prices ranges so I can't give you an estimate. For me, if it was under my dad's name, it was gonna be around $2,400 half a year.

May I ask why you love the RSX-S so much? I had the 02 Type S with some mods, and that thing was not fun to drive at all. I couldn't wait to get rid of that thing. But it did get me around places.

Really? Maybe I am the only one on here who thinks the RSX is not fun. I mean, its a relaible car don't get me wrong, but if I could go back and stop myself from buying it, I would in a heart beat. Even with springs, struts, tires, sways, etc., that thing understeers and feels like jello in the corners.

My friend has a 05 on lease I believe. It swayed like a mofo on the corner's.
Great fun when VTEC kicks, looks killer too.

If I bought one, I would buy it for a street car.

That is because RSX's before 2005 are different compared to the newer models

Speaks truth^

I mean, a little more power out the engine as a net-whole, but the weight increased if I remember correctly. One of the main reasons why I switched to awd was because the RSX hydroplaned like no bodies business. I am not the best driver in the world, but I consider myself pretty decent, but damn, I hated that car. Not to sound like a snob though. I worked hard for it and loved it, because it was my first car I ever bought new. But if I knew more back then, I would've gotten something else.

Now the GSR, that was something I would consider getting. My dad had one, and that thing stock drove waaaaay better than my RSX. Sadly, it was stolen.

Honestly, I believe something was missing in the changeover to the RSX. My Integra may be an LS but I honestly love it to death, I have very few complaints about it. I test drove a RSX for my friend and something was definitely missing when I drove it. Like it wasn't true to the core values the Integra was originally built on.

There's quite a few names for it. Europe is Integra. USA is RSX. Japan is DC5.

RSX sounds nicer. If you say it fast enough, it sounds like "oral s--" laugh.gif There was this one time that I said "Man. I love the RSX." My friends thought I said "Man. I love the oral s--"

... What?

Integra sounds better. It actually gives it individuality over the three letter acronyms that Acura likes to dub their cars.

I'm so jealous as of right now, I lost mine in an accident while under the influence. Thank god the police that was there helped me with everything, didn't even check if I was under the influence even though he knew I was and told me exactly what to say, lol. My fault totally on killing it but still, I loved the car. It's still sitting in my friends places but I sold most of the parts because it cost too much, estimate to about 4000-5000 bucks to just get it fixed. Insurance for me was about 2000?+ for only one way. I got my license not too long (not even 2 years) for those who are wondering it was my first car so and it was a stick shift. I believe it's more if it's stick and not auto.

I find that it dents and scrach easily, really easily. That was fun when I was driving it.

I'm planning to get a mini as my second car, more realiable?

Subaru WRX.

Or, you can be an awesome chick and get a 2.5RS like mine and swap a WRX engine in. Since you're from SF, I know of a Chinese guy who has one exactly like mine and is planning on doing that swap.

My brother owns an STI which I never got too fond of so driving a Subaru WRX is probably a no.

wow, so you're not fond of driving an STi. Then I suggest getting a BMW 335I or Lexus IS250 or a 370Z.

If you're not fond of driving an STi, I HIGHLY doubt you will enjoy driving the mini, let alone another Honda.

No it's not the fact that I don't like driving it but lets just say I don't really like four door cars. It's too big for me

thats more of a tire and driver thing than a car. awd will not save you from hydroplaning.

I can vouch for this statement.

My idiot ass was still driving around with summer tires during the rainy season. On the on ramp (which has a turn) which suggested going 20, I was going 40 with about half throttle. I ALMOST lost control, but somehow ended up catching myself and drove off as if nothing happened.

Most often, the 2 door version of 4 doors offers almost no length reduction, if any.

Be special and get a V6 Mustang.
