Whenever I am driving on the highway, it's always seems to be the pick up trucks (4x4) or some dodge truck speeding and cutting everyone off weaving in and out of lanes! So I was really sick of having this done to me even when I'm not driving slow at all. As I see this GMC pick up truck speeding down behind and tailing me, I went slow on purpose because he couldn't change lanes due to another slow moving vehicle next to him. As he finally makes a successful speeding lane change, I knew he was about to pass me and move onto my lane. but no, no, no I did what I knew would make him really mad so I sped up making sure I was always a little more in front of him. He had no choice but to stay in that lane or drive slower to lane change behind me. That's what you get! HA. YOU GUYS DON'T OWN THE ROAD, SO STOP DRIVING LIKE YOU DO.

As much as i hate that also. Try to refrain from speeding up just so they can't get in front of you, because that is also quite dangerous and in all honesty quite a douchey thing to do. Chances are, once he passes you he'll zoom on by and won't even be in your view. Remember, 2 wrongs don't make a right. But 3 lefts do.

hahaha i hate people who weave in and out too. i always find it amusing when i'm just following at a safe distance and someone behind me just changes lane to pass me but still ends up behind me because of a car in the slow lane. but yeah don't just speed up so they can't get in front of you because they might not look in their mirrors or w.e and just clips you.

Stop playing games on the road.
Stay on the farthest right lane when your on the highway or let those speeders pass in front of you.

there wouldnt be a problem if speeders on left, slow on the right but everyone feels they have the right to be on any lane they wish to be.

^ I totally agree. if youre a grandma, just stay on the right. What if the speeders are late for work?? I always go 20km above limit hehe.

My friend got a shotgun pulled on him even though he wasnt even blocking anyone. Guy speeds up on the fast lane so he switches lanes to let him pass. Guy stays next to him and my friend can see him btching at him and then he just pulls a shotgun up and my friend brakes hard and exits the freeway.

My point is careful what you do, some crazy people out there.

usually ill just slow down letting him pass..but when someone cuts me off and slows down (50mph/60) in front of me i cut him back and slow down lol..i know road rage..(arghh i dont like old papa mama drivers..in the fast lanes..)

sorry but that is incredibly stupid, if the guy is moving quickly, he will think you are still driving slower than him and you could get hit.and seriously, if you are in the 1st lane and you have 10 car lengths in front, move over its called a common courtesy.

You never know anyone else's situation. For all you know, he might of been late for an appointment or rushing for some emergency. I think it's funny how you targeted one truck driver and you think you taught them all a lesson.

And you don't want to be doing something like that--especially against a truck. I don't know what type of car you drive but I'm sure your car going head to head against a truck in a collision wouldn't be a good idea. Your car would probably lose.

Yes. I have a friend who has older brothers as truck drivers. They have to get to point A to point B in a certain time... so when and if they have to, they will be speeding. They do this to make money to support their wife and kids back home.

i dont understand why you didnt let the trunk driver merge into your lane infront of you. you dont own the road either and not everybody travels at the same speed. people should move out of the way for speeding cars.
and people weaving through traffic, i dont understand what its got to do with you. you can do it too

if slow people stuck on the right side, there wouldnt be any weavers. and the slow people pinkberry and moan about the weavers when they are the ones who started it.

btw. if u are going slower/same/faster by 5 mph of the car to your right(america) u are failing at driving.

Yeah, I see that on the news sometimes and it's crazy what people can do on the freeway. All I know is the OP made a bad decision, which could have ended badly.

When you use the possessive "my" to indicate the lane you're in makes it sound as though you own that lane. A bit contradicting on your behalf. I would tread with caution when trying to make others upset out on the road because ROAD RAGE is known to KILL. A woman in a city not too far from where i reside got out of her car at a stop light and shot the women in front of her because she passed into "her" lane cutting her off. It's best not provoke others especially crazed drivers.

Everyone says slow down, move lanes, switch to a different lane, it was dangerous this, dangerous that.

I had something very similar happen to me. Dude in his fresh new red Civic Si is doing about 110 on the I-95 S. Weaving in and out of traffic. He was behind me (I was all the way to the left, following traffic speed), passes to right lane (I was going pretty fast, way over speed limit - late for work). Then he jumps back infront of me.

The car in front of me is going my speed, so he wants to switch back in the right lane. Since I was behind him, I saw a line of 3 cars going even faster than me passing on the right side. The civic doesn't look to his right, realizes there are 3 cars there, only after a near collision. Civic counter steers left to avoid a 4 car pile up.

Civic is now perpendicular to me. I am about to T-BONE him going 80 MPH (I hear the Mortal Combat themed "FATALITY"). When we saw each other, I see the fear in his eyes. He's about to straight into the concrete barrier at prolly 80 or so. I was hoping he was going to jump the barrier and get pwned by the cars going north.

He counter steers again, and then again, (basically fishtailing) and I hit him in the the quarter panel. I braked as hard as I could, my mom's Acura RL's ABS was going wild. Tire skid marks up the wazoo. The lady in the BMW behind me nearly had a heart attack. I saved the Civic driver's life. If I DIDN'T hit him in the quarter panel, he was heading for the concrete barrier. When the accident was over, he was still in front, going forwards, in my lane. Thank god there were like 90 witnesses.

I don't really have a problem with pick-up's/SUV's on the highway. It's only in the city that they piss me off. The street are small and those cars are just too big to drive in the city.

with "real" trucks I mean these:

F Semis. I have no problem with truck drivers. Semis are real pricks. I've come very close to death several times because of these bastards.

I don't have a real problem with truck drivers, it just annoyes me when a truck is trying to pass another truck when they both ride 90km/h. Especially when I'm approaching them at 120km/h and one of them suddenly come into my lane driving 90km/h... it's just grrrrrr...

True, when slow drivers are on the right and fast ones on the left. There shouldn't be any problems... ideally.
But the fact is, some people are just plain douches! I'm not saying I agree with the original poster. Playing on the road is dangerous! BUT Some drivers will just weave in and out, because they still believe it's faster and it bugs me so much on the road! That's not always true. There can be people speeding in the left lane and another douchebag speeding even faster than that, weaving in an out between people going 85 mph.

I've been in the middle of a four lane highway with slow moving traffic (not jammed, but slow) all around, and sure enough, some ass hole in a sports car has to speed around weaving in and out of the lanes because he thinks he's hot stuff.

For some reason, there's a lot of douchebag Si drivers. Mainly punkass kids who thinks their mad tyte dohc vtec is the king of the streets.

I drive speed limit, and I see people past / change lane all the time on me.
it does hurt, but i get over it...until It happen agains, the cycle repeats itself throughout the day.
I know I won't be picking up girls driving like this, but I know I won't be the one that kills them going +20 above speed limit.

I have more of a problem with taxi driver than truck driver...

once again, weaving happens because people of the left are going too slow. if the speed limit is 60, and the person on the right is going 60 and left is going 75, and their is a person going at 85 from the left side, the guy going 75 should move over. NO MATTER WHAT. if the 75 keeps going in the same lane, the 85 will undoubtedly start "weaving" to get by, and at this point 75 has no right to be upset at the guy going 85, if 75 didnt move over, he is basically saying "everyone needs to go at my pace, and im gonna stay in this lane because this is my road"

It is COMMON SENSE driving, to go faster that the person to your right, do that in the autobahn and you would get killed.
