It's so frustrating when people ask me if i'm mad or angry just because of my facial expression.
It seems that i always look 'angry/serious/mad' when i'm just putting on my neutral face. People
who i don't even know go like: "You can smile if you want to you know?"

My mom has the same thing
When i see her sit infront of the tv she has this angry/serious expression on her face and it goes like
Me: "Is something bothering you?"
Mom: "No... why?"
Me: "You look so mad."
And than she gives me the biggest (obvious) fake smile.

Anyway, has this ever happened to any of you guys?
It makes me wonder what people think of me when they see me for the first time, .
It's not like i'm a negative person or anything, i'm happy most of the time...

Maybe you got a b-t-h face.
Anyways, that never happened to me, then again, people says I always look like I have quirky smirk on my face.

But, no, I never had people asking me if I were mad/angry. The thing is, according to them, I look sad. I'm not sure if this is an insult though .__.

Maybe it's your eyebrows, cause eyebrows say everything.

I've been told many times that I should smile more often. It gets annoying when ppls try to tell me what I should do with my face. My neutral face always looks like I'm mad and ppls do ask me if I'm mad when I'm not..

same here! My friend keeps on saying that I looked like pissed or something plus they always blame me whenever we start fighting that I'm the one who started it all..wtf!!! and it is just because of my usual face..what do they want us to do..have a face surgery?!LOL

People who doesnt know me always think Im pissed off,
I guess its something about the natural position of your eyebrows..

or when the sun shines, u tend to lower ur eyebrows abit because of the shiningness xD

Yeah, that's been the story of my life. Once you actually talk to me I tend to smile a lot in conversations, but when I'm just going around doing my thing, I look like I'm pissed off. I've gotten people telling me to smile more and making exaggerated smiley faces at me to "demonstrate" my whole life. My mom used to get mad at me and say "Don't you look at me like that!" when I wasn't looking at her in any negative way to my knowledge. A couple of my friends told me that when they first saw me, they were actually afraid to talk to me because they thought I would punch them or something. Siiigh.

The most annoying would have to be the vice principal of one of my elementary schools, though. I had to go down this one hall to get to class every morning, and every morning he would stand in the middle of it and say things to students. Every freaking morning for years he would clap me on the back and say "Smile!" which just made me actually as annoyed as I looked.

ugh i get this alot. i'm just sitting there, and someone i know always asks me if i'm okay. i get caught off guard and say yeah and they're like, oh you look mad...i have yet to find out what it is but its darn annoying

They never ask me if I'm mad or angry. They asked if I'm sad. Smile they would say. I dont know lol ..

its annoying and i dont understand why people have to ask (especially when they don't actually 'care'). im not going to smile and laugh at everything... lol. though i do tend to giggle a lot. and it's just the way my face relaxes? blah.

I'm the same, except people say I look mean and not angry which is even worse lol. It gets so annoying to hear people comment on it all the time though, it's like, what's your point, smartass?

LOL, mine is too. HAHA am not liking my neutral expression very much so I do this face with bloated cheeks. Makes me look goofier 'cause I usually have this really serious face... it's because of the eyes. ~.~

It's so annoying because I keep telling them "why? does everyone just normally smile the whole time? do you want me to just sit here and smile for no reason?". That shuts them up but they ask the same thing again the next day.

I get that A LOT. I just have one of those faces that look mad sometimes. I'm usually in a pretty good mood most of the time too. It's not really annoying when people ask if I'm angry or not, but it makes me a tad uncomfortable sometimes. Who wants to look like they're angry all the time? :/

I think that having a horny face is pretty unique to not look mad, sad, etc... But then people don't see the difference with a horny face and a "being high" face... I guess you get to be born with whatever you have on your face unless you do something about it (get punched a lot in the face, surgery, etc).

Shoot, I have a similar problem. But instead, people ask me if I'm sleepy. WTF, apparently I always look tired.

I look bored some days so friends, etc. think I`m mad, but I`m really not which I find rather funny. As a result, when I am mad no one realizes it unless I beep lol.

EVERYDAY my friends or my mom ask me "are you okay?" and then I say "yea. why?" and then they tell me that I look depressed and sad. I can't help it. my NORMAL face is just depressed looking and I don't want to smile 24/7 just because of that reason.

I don't think it happens to me because of my neutral face, but it happened once because someone did something that they thought I didn't like, and so they asked me later, while my face was neutral, whether I was mad. xD Purely coincidental~
