So I was trying to get some groceries and this street I usually go to get groceries has parking stalls in the back of each store. So as I was pulling into the stall and park, this idiot beside me began to pull out. I swear when I was pulling in, her rear lights weren't on, nothing. So ya, as I was turning off my car, she didn't look to her right and just began pulling out, not backing out straight but turning her wheel fully to the left and then pulling out causing her front right bumper to start scraping across my left side of the car.

She got out of the car and began cussing at me saying how it was my fault and I told her that she should've saw me parking beside her and she said, didn't you see me pulling out? uhh excuse me? pulling out? I finished my parking my car for crying out loud. What she should have seen was my car beside hers before pulling out. She cussed at me for what seems like a million years trying to entice me into punching her or something then going "you john teshing chinese people".

Then she goes to other people and told them that I was being aggressive to her when shes the one who REFUSED, yes I said it REFUSED to give me any of her info so I only have her plate number. She kept telling others how it was my fault and when I tried telling others that it wasn't my fault, she kept going, stop being aggressive to people and bothering them. I am not the one who is trying to put the blame on others. I even said, let ICBC see who is at fault but she kept on going, ITS YOUR FAULT. ICBC is the insurance corporation where we live.

So after cussing me out and refusing to give me any info, she started to leave and I just went to the people watching all this commotion, it was a HIT AND RUN. and I guess she heard it and quickly stopped her car and said, she was calling 911. Well after 3 mins of lame attempt of calling 911, she wasn't even trying to call 911, she was pressing the number 3 on her phone for the longest time. I guess she was trying to scare me but I that didn't work. Then she went

"Oh 911 isn't picking up, trying to make up the lamest excuses", I mean 911 isn't picking up? what is this? a 1 line 911?

So then some lady who was overhearing all the commotion asked me to call, I called and within 1 ring, 911 picked up and transferred me to the police.

The police then asked to speak with this old hag and she began telling the cops about how I was being aggressive to her demanding her to do things. I mean come on, I am ONLY ASKING HER FOR HER LICENSE so I can make a damn claim about this situation.

Then after a million years, my parents arrived since this lady sure isn't complying and tried to run away. So my parents told her she must give the info and then she kept saying she doesn't. In the end, 911 just told me to take down her plate number saying that is all I need for now and make a claim about it.

When the old hag began to leave, she reversed aggressively almost running over my parents and I behind her. My parents are suggesting she is driving on a suspended license or stole the car. Either way, she is one messed up woman who looks like she hasn't slept in a month with huge eye bags. Funny how she kept going ITS YOUR FAULT!

One final comment, at one point, she tried to put more blame on me by saying I HIT HER. She went "well look, my car is turned off, yours is on" Then I went, uhh your car is on, my car is off. She quickly tried to fix her mistake by quickly running over to her car and turning it off.

Lets see how ICBC will put this. I want justice people! justice!

Wow Dude. I'm at loss of words atm. As I read everything I could literally picture all this in my head is it was happening and boy was it hectic.
I'm pretty sure you took a picture of how the car was positioned when you hit here and the damage right?
The lady must have been pretty dumb making such a big fuss and trying to blame you constantly but failed each time. She should have double checked when backing up duh but she was being a idiot and reversed too fast.Your car is clearly parked already so there's no way it could have done the scratches especially the position it's in. Man the lady clearly fails to put logic into her words...She's definitely hiding something to cause such a big commotion and not giving proper identification, and she keeps saying its your fault...

Do keep us updated on this laugh.gif

Oh I will, I am sched to meet with an adjustor in a few days, probably monday and oh will I have a lot of fun explaining all this to the adjustor.

Also, as I was watching those anguish moments before the accident, she didn't even side check, she looked over her left shoulder while she was reversing. LEFT! I mean seriously. If she even had the right mind to look over her right and do the usual reverse pose as in hold onto the passenger seat, she would've seen I was there.

Funny how she said, I WAS ALREADY REVERSING!

Well lady

1. If you were already reversing, you would've seen me parking or at least going in behind you before I parked
2. Your reverse lights were not on when I was parking
3. You looked over the damn wrong shoulder
4. You didn't look over to my side or over the right shoulder
5. You continued to move even when I honked my horn at you as you were near my side mirror.
6. Even if you were reversing, WOULD I EVEN HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET INTO MY SPOT?!!!? Think about it, if she was in the process of reversing, would I have gotten into my parking spot perfectly with her old hag ass car's tail skimping out?
7. You put the blame on me AFTER ALL THAT!?!?!
8. You continued to put blame and began cussing and racial slurs at me thinking it will make your situation easier
9. You almost ran over my parents and I
10. Tried to deflect all the blame and tried to run away without giving any information even when I requested it a million times and others told her to give it too.

"you john teshing chinese people".

Woahhh... if that was me i'd would have gone ape mini cooper..
Chioster
That is what she wanted to do, wanted me to attack her so she gets off her charge. I knew it right away when she tried to put the blame on me.

Just spoke with ICBC an hour ago, they told me that I can take my car to a repair shop that can give me an estimate for the cost so it can be repaired, they will also be in contact with ICBC for pictures.

Lastly, the old hag sent her claim, but lets guess how much of that claim is an outright lie.

Oh the old hag isn't asian, shes white, crack looking. Huge eye bags and frizzled hair.

I will keep you guys updated with how the case goes.

You should have took out your phone and video record the whole thing. Then send it over to the insurance company to show that she refused to give out her information and wouldn't cooperate. Hopefully everything goes well for you.

And to SHARK: Don't discriminate. It's rude. wink.gif
Chioster
I would have but fearing for the safety of my phone. I mean this woman was pyscho, what are the odds of her taking the my phone and smashing it on the ground?
JJ no Baka
^Then you can sue her for taking your things and destroying it causing a traumatic experience + owing money for the damage she would have done to your phone. laugh.gif

I'm asian and I don't think I should be allowed to drive either. So it's all fair. wink.gif

So ya, my dad is going to be taking the car to the autobody shop for estimates right now so the estimates can be sent to my insurance. Lets hope all goes well. BURN HAG BURN!

Also, MY LOVELY PHONE! You can't do that to it tongue.gif

EDIT - Just got word from my dad that the car is sched to be fixed on wednesday so for now, we can still drive the car. But the auto body shop says that its nothing major and shouldn't cost much to fix. That is good to hear, that just means there isn't a deep scratch or dents.

The side was pretty messed up, you can see the blue paint just rubbed right across the driver door.

OH MY GOD..
there's SOOO Many crazy drivers out there.. i completely understand your situation. Now it sucks because your going to have to deal with that crazy lady.
Did you have any witnesses?

3 weeks ago, this old man blew his yield sign and luckily i stopped when i saw him SPEEDING through the intersection. Unfortunately i was just one second too late and he hit my bumper off and ROLLED! can you imagine how fast he was going to do that? If i had been a second LATE, he would have hit my door and I would have been seriously injured. After the car stopped rolling, people called 911 i called my dad but then i went up to the man to see if he was okay! he was one the phone going "SOMEONE HIT ME!!! SOME LITTLE TEENAGER!!!" and i just lost my mind and went "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!?! YOU HAD A YIELD SIGN! YOU HIT ME! ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME?!!?" i was going to say sooo much more but then a cop pulled me away and went "i know it's not your fault. Your not in trouble just calm down." but then i started crying and ugh it was a mess. I had lots of witnesses so i had no problem with the insurance companies afterwards.

i'm sorry about your minor accident! Your very fortunate ! I'm sure you will be more defensive now, i sure am.. there are crazy drivers out there! I hope all goes smoothly with fixing your car and there will be no problems smile.gif

Any pictures Chioster?

Yea I had a similiar experience too. As I turning out from the parking lot at my school, this girl decides to blow past the stop sign and almost hit me. Was about a car length away. I stopped right there and just looked at her, giving a WTF face...then i finished my turn and drove away

it's crazy how careless some people are heh!

Judging from the account, ICBC WILL be on your side. However, I've heard of a few claims on local forums go wrong because of the ethnicity of the driver. I know I'm discriminating as well (so apologies in advance), but older white people are the biggest group of whiners I've seen yet. Every week in my local newspaper, there's a letter to the paper griping about how this doesn't work, or how that thing is a detriment to the city, or how X should be changed to do this, making it "better" when in reality it would just make X worse .

I also thought refusing to exchange information is grounds for taking fault. If anything, the fact that your car was off and she tried to run just puts the claim more in your favour.

EDIT: Was there liquor on her breath, or some form of evidence showing she was under the influence of SOMETHING?

I hope you asked for the security tape from the store's owner, usually they have security cameras in the parking lot. It's your word against hers, and if she said you was moving at the time of the accident, it's going to be 50-50 fault. Unless you show prove that your car was not moving during the accident.
Chioster
Not sure, she didn't allow me near her. Probably did.
[K]Jae
True, but since there are witnesses it will help speed up the case and hopefully provide helpful information.

This is not a private parking lot. It is a city parking lot that is located in the back streets. Also there were no witness or witness that saw the accident as most of them just fled the scene. The only witness their are, are people who were passing by seeing all the commotion.

I got a link of where it happened

http://maps.google.ca/?ie=UTF8&layer=c...041199&z=16

On the left side of the parking lot behind buy low foods. My car was parked 2 cars down from the Black Lexus RX while her car was parked 1 car down. It is where those trees are.

But either way, even without any video evidence, even if my car was moving, what gives her the right to slide her front end into my parking space? She should've reversed straight out instead of rubbing her front end against my side.

There are just so many scenarios that work into my favour.

1. If she said she was already in the process of reversing, she would've seen my car go behind her and then parked beside her, unless she wasn't looking behind her WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY THE CASE!
2. If my car was moving, there is still no point in her doing the reverse turn she performed that created a swinging motion inside a parking stall
3. She refused to give any information to me even when I asked her and many people asked her too. EVEN 911 DID!
4. She almost ran over my parents and I while leaving
5. She tried to leave the scene without giving any info after she hit me
6. Even when honking at her, she proceeded to keep going causing a 2-3 feet long sliding scratch mark across my driver door. Any driver the moment they feel a disruption to their movement will put on the brakes. She just kept going till I held onto my horn.

sorry to hear about the craziness! hope everything goes in your favor. about those crazy ppl... i've seen plenty around rowland lol. especially those middle aged asian ladies (not being racist) driving a lexus or other "luxurious" cars but don't watch where they're going, and they blame the other party even if there are witnesses!!
aubrei
she is guaranteed, 100% at fault, if that woman admits that she was reversing out of the stall when the collision occurred in this situation.

Been driving around in a courtesy car for the past day, 2010 Corolla. It is a lot bigger then my current car. Big as in it seems more roomy. But it lacks the low end torque that the little Focus provides. Yes, I drive a 2001 Focus with almost 130,000km on it with zero problems other then a failed PCV Valve that caused irregular idle, a 12 dollar fix.
