Asians on TV do not represent the other 8-900 million asian males in the world.
The U.S. Population total is over 300 million.
Shaving is fun !! I hate hair. T
here you go - I contradict your all encompassing - statement that asian males do not shave.
* I do shave^^ does that make you feel better?
pss. why do random people on the internet post questions based on what they have learned from TV? thanks for the amusing post!

Maybe because they don't have that much hair in their armpit to begin with?
Maybe it's just me, but I don't really like guys with totally smooth armpit. I don't want forest under their armpit, but I don't want smooth either. Just the right amount of hair never hurt

Shaving that area only takes a minute - a guy could do this daily and not lose any time in his day if shaving was
his preference. I've never witnessed this phenomena of thicker and longer

In my country here in Europe most of the guys do shave their armpit hair.I remember that there were times(like 7 years ago) that in my country if you were a guy and shaved your armpit hair you were immediately called gay.But by 2009 everything changed.

Why WOULDN'T they shave? It takes literally 5 minutes or less to shave your armpits. Guys freak out and go all "ewww" if a girl hasn't shaved her armpits, why is it different for guys? Because its "manly" to have armpit hair? Uh, no, it just looks unhygienic and really unattractive, fellas.

It actually only takes 1 minute. 5 minutes for a kid that doesn't know one end of a razor from the other ^^
I have yet to see a 120lb guy try to prove his manliness via armpit hair. Rock those skinny jeans tho!!!

i've had flabby, smelly, high-pitch-voiced but hairy friends challenge my masculinity just because i shave my underarms
yet they shave their pubes, somewhere no one but them are ever gonna see for a while because they're losers
pit hair is an eyesore
having disgusting mini cooper under your arm, or just about anywhere on your body, does not equate to masculinity

I don't think most guys shave their armpits. Some do...Cause some men don't like being manly :x Just kidding about the last bit, kind of...
I also don't see how armpit hair is unhygienic???? REALLY? If anything it's MORE hygienic, because it keeps the skin dryer, and dryer armpit hair = less odor producing bacteria.
i just don't get how hair is so gross, lol. It's just hair. It's odd to see it on women, cause it's not common, but I still don't think it's gross....

But by 2009 everything changed.
Clearly not everything,
I don't think the majority of guys have decided to shave their armpits... The removal of back, chest and pubic hair are still rising in popularity. Maybe the armpits will come later. I don't think it's just Asian men... Out of all the guys I though Asians tend to be the least hairy.
And perhaps the hair arm pitted Asian men want to be non-conformist to the shaving armpit trend.
Isn't hair meant to be considered to be "manly", hence, the reason females in magazines, television, pornography are all completely hairless except for their head hair and eyebrows. And if they did have hair anywhere else they'd be called a man or something..
Pol2ns7al2 Shaving of he pubes is a nice gesture for the lady/ladies but you are right about having no hair does not mean a man is not a man.

Hahhah, I think you're right. Many guys actually think it's MANLY to have armpit hair. My brother was so excited when he got his armpit hair lol (he's such luzr xD). I kinda understand why he was so happy because he has NO hair whatsoever.

most guys arent self conscious enough to care.
i trim, but i dont shave.
i dont shave because it leaves sharp hairs which pricks and causes a lot of discomfort.
guys hair grows a lot more aggressively, so if its waxed, it'll only grow back in a matter of days.
why put yourself through all that pain....its not like girls are checking out a guy's armpits all the time. like someone else said, a person is probably covered 90% of the time.
i think its unreasonable to ask for a guy to shave their body hair all the time.
its perhaps reasonable to ask them to trim, though.

It's not just Asian guys, guys in general, specially in the West don't shave their armpits. It's not exactly part of our culture that we expect all guys to shave their armpits (as opposed to women) and doing so (or not doing so for women) is more of an independent choice. Personally as long as it's not a forest there, I don't really care whether or not they shave it.
EDIT: Okay, I see you're from Europe. It's a cultural thing, they do in your culture but North American culture, guys don't generally shave body hair whereas women do. In Asia, it's the same thing. Women in most cultures in Asia (I'm not sure about East Asia because they're increasingly more influenced by western culture) don't tend to shave.
