anyone love sashimi...im hella craving for it right now.

its so juicy and it melts in your mouth and it looks so pretty.

some ppl thinks its easy to make since its just cut up raw fish, but the cutting up of the fish is actually very hard and the qualty of the meat is better too i think... to bad its so expensive.
and making it homemade is hella hard cuz when i do it i cut it up but i cut it wrong and it ends up being all chewy because i didnt cut out the veins or w/e.
anyone know how to make sashimi? anyone love it? some ppl r disgusted by it but its good if u give it a try

*high-fives* I really, really love sashimi hehe. It's simple, yet tastes so very delicious. I love raw fish, shrimp, lobster, squid, oysters, etc. Most of what they have to offer as sashimi I love I guess haha.

I don't like it that much.

i eat it really fast cause if i eat it too slow, i pay more attention to the texture and start to feel like i have to barf. -.-'' it's good, but i prefer shiitake mushroom rolls more. 8D

when i first had sashimi i focused on the texture and stuff and felt like barfing a little. but it doesnt bother me anymore infact i eat slowly to savor it now lol

well mix it with wasabi and some soy sauce and i think you won't notice the texture as much

Ahh I tried Tuna and it was.. it made me want to puke.. I don't know, maybe because I was thinking about it too much.. >.<

You should try dipping the tuna into soy sauce, wasabi or even ground ginger - any of these condiments will help deflect the taste of the texture of the raw fish, especially for newcomers to sashimi.

Sashimi is an acquired taste and may not be to everyone's liking. But fresh (very fresh) sashimi is awesome, especially salmon.

i don't eat raw seafood that much but sashimi on sushi roll is a definitely to crave for.

This reminds me, I had the most horrible sushi I had in my life today The tuna was like seriously all iced and stuff, all hard and cold and DID NOT melt in my mouth. It felt like I was eating a soft ice cube that tasted like fish. :S Even mall sashimi tastes better, ugh!

I love love love raw fish ((: I always get a bunch whenever I can at sushi buffets lol.
There's this type of sashimi, not sure what it's called, but it's white and shiny and is a little crunchy. I think it's actually some kind of squid, but that's my favorite kind to eat :9 raw abalone is pretty tasty too~

It's one of the only foods (well, entrees) I can eat without rice. But it tastes super good chirashi style too

i once tried this fish, it was so fresh!!! the chef stripped its meat and served it with the remaining of the fish... and guess what, the fish was still moving... u can see its tail move.

eeee i hate sashimi, i mean i hate raw meats. that means i have never tried before and i'm not planning to do so. anyway, with the news of the old man's japanese brain which has a lot of maggots- duh it makes me doesn't want to eat sashimi. what's so good with sashimi?

sashimi is so good and healthy (well the natural ones no secret sauces or anything).

The white rice contains too much high gi so i prefer to eat the meat then the rice.

I agreeee! I feel like the rice takes away some of the goodness of the flavor too.. ah @_@
