Have anyone tried doing under arm wax before? I have been wanting to try it. But because I shave everyday, I wonder if we should grow some hair first, then wax? Or?? Does it hurt? How long does the hair take to grow back??

Underarm wax is great, hair grows back in about 2 weeks. I can't remember the pain factor but you get used to it pretty fast so after a few wax sessions the pain is nothing. You'll have to grow a few mm first so the wax can actually cling onto the hair.

I do it myself. Wait until it's 1/4 inch, not too long. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to grow back if it's your first time. But if you do it regularly, it takes about a month and a half to grow back.
BTW, I use gigi wax.

I do it myself and you get pretty used to the pain. The first time you do it, it hurts a bit but then after that it's basically painless.

i go to a salon to get it waxed, it hurts a little at first, but to me it doesn't hurt that bad & you get used to it pretty fast. it's when they wipe it down with oil to clean your underarm that gets me laughing, i'm ticklish there.^^;; it's soo much better that shaving, i love it. you have to wait a little bit for it to grow back to the hairs can stick to the wax, i do it every week even though it doesn't get everything. it gets most of it, but i just really need the hairs gone

It hurts at first, but the you'll get you used to it. I actually enjoy the pain whenever I do it, but I don't want to say I'm a masochist or something. Hair grows back slower when you wax than when you shave. Also, it's not itchy. I also do it myself 'cause it's really easy, and it takes less than 10 minutes. I do it before I take a shower. Oh, and I don't use hot wax for my underarms 'cause my esthetician said it might darken them.
