If I were to buy a BMW, with my money...
I would probably buy an e30 M3, that's the only BMW I reallllly like. I wouldn't knock a M Roadster either.

E30 M3

M Coupe (Z4)
All the other BMW's.... Yeah they're nice, but with that kind of money, there is just so much MORE to buy.
If I was burning that much money.... I would start a investment account or something and pay into THAT than make payments on a E92 M3 or something.

If it ain't an E92 then it ain't a thang.

I like the older models more.
Less weight, less electronic demons, good 'ol fun.
If I was going to go out and buy, with my money an E92.... I would have to be seriously baller.
To spend all that money for a 3 series... I would much rather pick up an older Porsche or something else.
Newer doesn't always necessarily mean better.
I do fancy the 4door e92 M3 though, they are nice. I really like it having 4 doors, don't have to jump over to a S4.

It's hard to brag about an old-model luxury car.
So until I can afford some brand new Bavarian Motor Works, I'm stayin in my late-model Japanese sedan.

It isn't always about the newest.
E46 M3 is my favorite bimmer.

My friend's old E46, I believe he's saving up for an E92 now.

If anyone see's this car in the bay area, the previous owner (my friend) was the one that made it look the way it is today.

I had a Y2K BMW 325i. I had the occasional electrical, but worse, I had a fuel line problem that just drained my mileage so badly I was done with the car.
If I ever were to get another BMW, I'd have to see into the future. But until then... E30 M3. Definitely.

Maybe my car has a fuel line problem...I swear it drinks fuel like an alco...
It's an 1995 318i though. Solid car except for the ridiculous fuel economy.

i noticed alot of koreans drive BMWs, is there a method of getting them for cheap or a easy way to lease? or are they just rich?
mikez
Nov 16 2009, 10:12 AM
Lol BMW Lease rates are so cheap, you can lease a 328i for a bit more than a loaded Accord or Camary, that's why a lot of poser drives them.
M3 are nice though, however I dont see me in a BMW any time soon.

Nah, Korean's are all uber loaded. Mug a Korean person and you just hit the lotto!! DING DING DING.
jk.
I don't know. Image is a very important thing for Korean people. They guard their pride with their lives. My uncle who lived in Cali told me... some might live in a trailer park, or a cheap neighborhood, JUST so they can drive a BMW or Benz. People want to be in with the "rich" crowd and live a higher standard... so I guess this is why they all ball in nice cars.
Also, you gotta remember, a BMW here is probably cheaper than owning a BMW in S. Korea (where a lot of Koreans are from). So when they get here... they think "hey, I couldn't have a BMW in Korea... but I can have one here if I eat ramen and kimchi for a few days a week and save here, save there...." You get the idea.

Dude that's so true. I know 2 Korean guys who have sexy ass 335i coupes and their wardrobes are all A&F, Guess, A/X, but I once visited the house of one of the guys....and wow. Dude lived in a cramped apartment with his family of 4.
I think not just Koreans, though. Asians in general have a standard of where BMW and Benz are top of the line and they must have one. I live in a highly Asian populated city and BMW and Benz are all you see out on the streets

Maybe it's just west coast Koreans. I'm 100% Korean and I don't have a BMW. I roll around in Honda's and Toyota's. I own a $2,800 Mazda Miata (my parts on my car probably cost more than my car).

Eh, the e30's... I like it for the originality and the classic boxy look. In terms of performance... I don't know. It's probably very light. Too expensive of a project car for me though =T
Btw, Mskrndoll, you really do look like a doll in your pic. Like a real yi-young, just a grown up version of the dolls my sisters played with.
