Ok so like you own a liquor store for what? 9 years and a its a million dollar business. Your grandpa and grandma buys a $550,000 house and a 2001 Jaguar S-Type for like $43500 and a 2002 Mercedes ML500 for like $60000 with the added parts included. They buy one of your aunts a 2003 Mercedes CLK500 for like $55000 and the other one a 2003' Nissan 350Z for like $35000. They buy a car for their best friend, a 2001 Mercedes S600. They have like $8000 rollexes and real rings, well big ass rings and they buy a house for one of my aunts a condo in Denver. They have like $500 wine bottles and like 2 stores in very nice locations. They help us purchase our 2003 Ford Expedition for $47000. guess what happens? 6 years later, my aunts Mercedes was traded in for a 2008 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and my other aunts 350Z was traded in for a 2008 Suzuki Forenza. Their friends S600 was traded in for a ML350. My grandma sold her Mercedes ML500 for a mere $12000 and moved into a condominimum. How does this work?

I believe the OP's original intention is regarding the sudden change in lifestyles, from luxury to mediocre.

The fact is, that's the way the times work; your grandparents ran a successful business for some time and then either they failed to adapt to the times, or the credit crunch of 08 forced them down a couple notches, either way, it just stopped being as profitable. It happened, and all they can do is deal with it and adapt until they create the next opportunity.

It works cause the economy is collapsing. So while hundreds of thousands of other people are filing bankruptcy, you should be glad your family still has several cars to drive...
