So yesterday I was watching this hong kong series with my mother " The Threshold of a Persona".
& holy mini cooper, now im scar-ed to death. Holy. I really don't wanna repeat this part but when the guy gets run over and smashed like a tomato.
Although it is super fake, the image of it looks like the worst way to die. Still makes me really uncomfortable and ... I'm so paranoid.

I seriously aint watching those damn hongkong drama/series anymore.
Well, if you ever had those moments, share or empathize with that hongkong series :'(

ummm that sounds nasty, but ihave no idea what your talking about
im gonna share one thats totally unrelated to your tv show.
sorry

anyways. i was watching " saving private ryan" usually, i can handle alot of pretty distrubing stuff, but that one scene where the American armyy dude is fighting that german guy, and theyre upstairs in the tower and the other american solider is hiding on teh stairs listen to them fighting, and then the german guy lies ontop of the american guy with a knife, and the dude is trying to push it away but the german is stronger and then, the clip...
the guy Slowllllyyy yet with all his force, pushes the knife down on this guys heart, while the guy is stills aying " nononononono" and the german guy is shushing him, all you hear is the knife still going in.and then the dying solider pleading grows silent...
i have no idea why that image stuck with me, but i guess its great acting, direction, and a pretty hardcore killing scene. i gotta say
sorry if that made no sense, its been 2 days since ive slept

Not all Hong Kong series are gruesome. So you shouldn't categorize that all HK dramas are the same. If you can't watch gruesome movies/dramas, read the synopsis first before watching it. It's nasty, yes. But you just have to know it's all fake. And keep thinking that way.
If you think a little scene from a drama freaks you out, then the SAW series ain't for you.

The only super gory movie I've seen is probably SAW. I cringe a little, but I can handle it.

We had to watch that movie in school, in the lesson right before lunch as well... I think the first battle scene was pretty gory yet so realistic. Though i didn't eat my lunch in the end, it turned out to be one of my favourite war films.

i'm really into blood and gore, but...
i downloaded this movie called AntiChrist, starring William Defoe (i have a thing for older men), i skimmed through it and at the end there was a scene where a woman takes a pair of scissors and cuts off her own clitoris and it looks so real.
well anyway, i never went back to watch the whole movie.

the movie 'an american crime' was extremely disturbing for me.
especially the scene where they carved that 'i am a rainbow' thing on her back, or was it on her tummy. can't remember the exact details but yeah that was just awful for me to watch.

well this really disturbing scene was more of on a psychological level.. i was watching broken blossoms, a 1919 silent film and i dunno the scene where the abused girl is on the dude's bed and he is just like leaning in towards her and seems like he'll kiss her but instead grabs like part of her garment that she's wearing and sniffs it. The girl looks 14 and the dude is an adult.. yeah that scene just creeped me out.. critics say their love was a pure and beautiful innocent love but i just found it creepy and weird..

I watched a movie called... American History X (or something along those lines) starring Edward Norton, which is about Nazis.
And like, the whole movie was pretty disturbing. Not so much on a psychological level, but more like... visual.
I had to not watch some parts because it was just THAT bad.
Let's just say, a guy get his face stomped into a curb.
But don't get me wrong, the movie itself in terms of storyline and acting is REALLY good.
Just, minus the gruesome violence.

Neo-Nazis/skinheads
One of my favorite movies.
"Put your john teshin' mouth on the curb!"
I found a few of the scenes in Irreversible to be gruesome.
The rape scene was really graphic. And the one where that guy gets his head bashed in with a fire extinguisher.
I've been dying to see Audition.

Cache- The French film. One of the characters uses a knife to slit his throat.

That was so realistic and .... and it sucked cos it didn't get mentioned (in the rating about being graphic) I literally cringed and looked away in shock.
Also boys don't cry- this movie is sad, but is quite sick and disturbing in some parts.

It's nothing graphic but I thought it was really disturbing to watch that scene in Scarface where Tony Montana is forced to watch the Colombian? drug dealer cut off his friend's Angel's leg/arm/whatever it was (they don't show it, only Al Pacino's face) with a chainsaw and have Angel's blood spray onto his face. I've seen worse but I just cringe every time I hear a chainsaw starting up because I immediately think of limbs getting cut off. But even so, Scarface is one of my favorite movies. I saw it at least four times last year. LOL
Whoever mentioned Antichrist, I remember reading somewhere that the sex scenes in it are so graphic they had to get porn actors to stand-in. With your added information I've decided that that's one movie I'm never going to see.

WOW im interested. i dont usually watch war movies cos its too sad for me to handle but this really caught my attention

i'll probably watch it tomorrow.
i dont like gore or saw/final destination type of movies so i don't really have any disturbing scenes to "contribute" but i did watch final destination 2 by accident and it was REALLY horrifying. The woman got decapitated when her head got stuck between the elevator's door and her friends were like trying to pull her free but they only managed to pull out her headless body instead

and the guy who got cut into four parts by a flying wired fence or something its kinda vague now and the poor boy who was caught in an explosion when he was barbecueing. it was too much for my fragile and timid heart

i really admire my friends who can watch those disturbing bloody and gorey movies without even cringing lol....

Wrong Turn 3 in the beginning where there was I believe 3-4 college students camping out where the part one of the three finger brothers shot an arrow through one of the girls left breast through the guy's hand who was touching her breast. It wasn't too gross or anything but I felt pain when it happen. I was totally OMG scared the mini cooper out of me.
A Thai drama, Fai Ruk Arsoon when the lead guy was beating the mini cooper out of the main lead girl.

i definitely agree with the people who have mentioned..the saving private ryan scene..and most of the scenes in the movie series saw..& especially the scenes in saw 3..
but for me the goriest film..that i have ever been unfortunate enough..to watch in my life..has to be stephen kings dream catcher..some of the scenes in that film..are..really graphic..also the the scene in the cannibal movie..where the guy is made to eat his brain..is really disgusting..
i try not watch films that are overly gory..and horrific..or at least..i try not to watch them by myself..and more specifically late at night..i usually feel weak at the sight of a lot of blood and things..

there are a lot of scenes in movies that are visually very gruesome and disturbing such as in Saw, or any of those other gorey movies, but what i see as really disturbing is when the loved ones of a character are gruesomely murdered or even just hurt. it doesn't even have to be that gorey but it just saddens me a lot everytime lol. and i don't mean like when the girl and guy that were having sex in a horror movie get killed or some BS, i mean like a mom, kid, or dad or serious couple.
i saw most of the movies mentioned so far, and to add to the list, as a Christian, watching Passion of the Christ was very...

Saw the French film
Martyrs a few nights ago. I usually have a strong stomach when watching horror movies, but the violence and disturbing scenes in this didn't make it easy for me to watch. The final scene where Anna's been skinned alive got me. Oh and Lucie's hallucinations of the women had me creeped out!

I've seen quite a few disturbing scenes. I agree with the last parts of Audition, especially with the wire saw part, ouch. I watched Imprint by Takashi Miike, my cousins and I were grossed out with the pins being inserted into the finger nails. Oh and The Three Extremes, with the three short movies from three different directors. The dumpling and the finger cutting scenes were really disturbing.
There is a Japanese movie called Gruesome, it follows the style like the Saw series, but I would say its very disturbing. For those who haven't watched Gruesome, its about a couple who gets kidnapped by this psychotic man who tortures them badly. When the couple passes out from the pain, he bandages then wakes them up and continues to torture them; the psychotic man does this to gain his excitement.

The first time I watched it, I was watching it with my brother and we were cracking up really badly. I mean, yeah, it was really disturbing but the dude shouting and the dramatic music...oh man, I don't know, we crack up every time that scene comes up.
But onto serious matters, I think one scene from a movie that disturbs me still to this day is the rape scene in "Boys Don't Cry". I was crying, and I wanted to cover my eyes or fast forward through it, but I couldn't find the strength to do either.

Audition and Wolf Creek are the standout two movies in my head at the moment relating to this topic. I`m not a fan of these sort of movies, I totally had no idea what I was in for when my friends sat me down to watch these, and when I had tried to run away, they forced me down to finish the movie *cries*
Thanks to this thread, I will now recognize some titles to run away from if my friends decides to sit down for movies next time haha =D
