you know when your on the bus or train (or any other situation) and there's a person sitting across from you or next to you, and it gets awkward. you start to take out your phone and text?
i do! i mean what else can i do. i don't usually text to a friend but i just type random things in my phone. lol

i don't text at all in the first place,
so i just take it out and type a message and then not send it cause i'm lame.
or i look through pictures or play demo games ~_o !
but most of the time i just get my ipod (WHICH I ALREADY HAVE OUT ;D ! )
and watch a video or listen to music or play a game :o .

nah i actually DO text in awkward situations. hahaha sometimes i mass text "i'm so boooored, talk to me"

I either take out my music and listen to it and text, I don't like the feeling of someone staring at me
or look through the artists on my iPod, or my contact list haha

I don't 'pretend' to text, but I do text random things to people when I haven't got much to do.

YES! I do this when I'm alone to make it seem like I'm occupied. I'm so lame. I type random things I see and feel on the memopad features on my phone.

One time, I bumped into my teacher outside the classroom, but still on campus. As she was about to start a long conversation about how I'm always asleep in her class, I whipped out my cellphone and pretended someone just texted me something important and walked past her quickly....

yeaah. OMG I thought I was the only one. I used to pretend to be on the phone too when I used to take the bus because this annoying guy used to start a conversation with me all the time. Lmao. Now I know normal pple don't do that but he was sooo freaking annoying. lmao

Well, not really pretend to text... but I check my inbox messages over and over again. Or I just go into random folders to look at things. It makes things a little less awkward for me.

I also do that when I'm trying to avoid someone. LMAO.

If I'm uncomfortable then I'll take my phone out and make it seem like I'm texting by sliding my fingers across it and pressing buttons to get into my messages folder and then closing out and act like I was just checking it to buy off time

I start out by looking at the time, then check around the phone and pretend to press random keys until I feel the need to really text a friend. I do this when I'm walking alone or in class bored lol.

I don't usually fake-text, instead I take out my iPod and change songs or something. I like to observe and watch people though so that's what I keep myself busy with if I'm alone, it's not often that I actually pay any attention to the "awkward" situation I'm in, lol, if that made any sense. Unless it's an awkward AND dangerous situation.

I don't pretend, I really do text my friends, asking them random questions etc. LOL.

i was at this gathering and we all went to this restaurant and my friends are all joking around talked to each other but me.
and so i texted a bunch of my friends and not much of them replied. but i still pretend i'm texting them lol

Ohh I do this when am meeting someone and usually am the one being on time, so makes me less awkard just standing around doing nothing
