I'm going to share what happened two days ago, still shocked and disappointed by what had happened.

Me and this guy dated for a few times and I guess I really liked him. However, because we both graduated and did not saw each other anymore, we stopped contacting for more than a year. Recently, he started making small talks with me, eventually he asked me out a couple of times. I could say that I've lost all feelings for him but I still decided to meet him for old times' sake and was probably still attracted to him.

And so, when we met, he brought me to a building and got his collegue to talk to me about his company and stuff (MLM, network marketing, if you've heard of it). The conversation lasted for more than 2 hours and lead to them asking me to fork out about 2,000USD to join the organisation, to make a handsome income as a sidelined job.

I went home, fuming, to think that what an insincere jerk he was- to use his friends as a source of income. It might be on my part that I was probably hoping for too much, and that I'm foolish for even agreeing to meeting him.

Anyone shares similar experiences? So what do you guys think I should do? mad.gif

The next time he tries to contact you, tell him what a douchebag he is. And then just don't bother with him anymore.

I hate when people don't talk to me and all of a sudden talk to me to help with assignments and stuff, but to ask for $2000? That's just low. Just don't talk to the guy anymore, easy as that.

Hey ive had one of those friends that contacted me all of the sudden and tried to talked me into the MLM company. Tell him to piss off and dont see him again.

That guy is a loser. I honestly hope you didn't pay the money...

I really hate people who do that. "I don't know you, I don't really care to bother with you, and we're nothing more than friends on facebook, but once I need something we're best friends?" Tell that guy to john tesh off.

Wow... what an ass. My mom always tells me that a guy who asks a girl for money is useless and a loser and to kick him out before he can say "Hello."

You should not fork over 2000 dollars over something that you don't know about. Just don't contact him and ditch him girl. You're better without him.

Wow. His "company" sounds more of a pyramid scheme than an actual MLM. (MLMs can be legitimate, i.e. Cutco, and Avon, Pyramids are just scams) It'll eventually collapse on its own.

Just don't talk to him again. He's obviously only trying to reap rewards in a futile get-rich-quick scheme. Though he's in for rough times when he starts losing money, don't feel sorry for him.

Out of curiosity, how does she feel about a girl who asks a guy for money?

Eh... when you go to those things they always tell you to hit up your warm market. That's all. Don't take it personally.

I lol'd in real life after I read this post. The obvious thing to do is...nothing. Ignore him and you should be good. He'll just move on to another potential client.
shern
uhhhh i don't know, probably just ignore him?
