About his New ALBUM

In the latest MNET Entertainment news, Seung Gi himself said that his new album was being preparing and it would be released this month. He will join the radio program of MC Mong on 24th and Yoon Do Hyun Love Letter on 25th this month to start promoting his new album. As for the name "When A Man Loves A Woman" part 2, it's a remake album as well But in the opposition to the last one, this time his album will consist songs that have been sung by male singers.
Seung Gi always does well in remake songs, this one is really a MUST-BUY again and how come i think that maybe there will be the song "My Love" as well



About his New DRAMA

You guys have been known, Seung Gi will take the main role in the historical drama of MBC, "Iljimae". As what we have been concerned recently, this drama indeed was faced to some problems last month, due to the cost and fund and so on [yes, if you still remember, they mentioned they invested a lot in this drama]. But luckily, it seems it still survives According to the news, they started to shoot the background scenes in Ha-dong of Kyungnam province on Mar. 12th. Seung Gi will join there soon. This drama is planed to be aired on November of this year

I have a quick question, with him starting promotions and drama soon, what will happen to 1 night 2 days? I'll miss seeing him in everyday natural actions (like waking up and eating) if he stops it. Though maybe he won't leave because it's only 2 days every 2 or 3 weeks.

OH wow, I'm really excited about all this. His remake album was actually my favorite of all his albums and now there's a part 2? That's awesome. I didn't even know that part 1 was all female song remakes. He such a great range that he can sing almost anything. 디딤판은 노래가 아니었다. 한 편의 오락 프로그램이 들춰낸 그의 허술한 본성이었다. KBS 2TV '해피 선데이―1박 2일'을 책임지는 6인방 중 한 명인 그는 말귀를 잘 못 알아듣는 순한 동생. 출연자들이 전국 각지로 1박2일간 여행을 떠나 벌어지는 잡다한 일상을 담고 있는 이 프로그램에서 그는 실수투성이 캐릭터로 단정하고 밋밋했던 이미지를 '쇄신'했다. 예컨대 고구마를 굽는데 호일 대신 랩을 가져와 면박을 듣는 식. 그를 일컫는 '허당승기'는 '야동순재' 이후 사람들 입에 가장 많이 오르내리는 '사자(四字)별명'이다.

'1박2일'에서 사정 없이 망가지는 이승기는 "20여대의 카메라가 길게는 40시간까지 일거수일투족을 촬영하는데 무엇인가 생각하고 계산해서 꾸밀 수 있는 여유가 전혀 없다"고 했다. "녹화 들어가서 딱 1시간 후면 카메라 존재 자체를 잊어버려요."

출발은 좋았다. "첫 녹화였던 평창 편에서는 아침에 일어나서 메이크업까지 했다"고 한다. 그러나 요즘 그는 일어나자마자 잔뜩 부은 얼굴에 이리저리 뻗친 머리칼을 보여주는 데 거침이 없다. 가장 외모에 신경 쓰는 사람은? 강호동이란다. "자고 일어나면 제일 먼저 묻는 게 '내 머리 눌렸니?'예요. 솔직히 뭐 (강호동에게) 눌릴 머리라고 있나요? 그런데 씻기는 참 안 씻으세요. 간혹 2박3일 녹화를 해도 저는 호동이 형 씻는 걸 본 적이 없거든요."

스스로 '야생 버라이어티'라고 부르는 '1박2일' 출연자들은 고생이 심하다. 이승기는 "정말 눈 쏟아지고 바람 부는 야외에서 텐트 치고 잘 줄은 몰랐다"며 "그나마도 하루 3~4시간 자는 게 고작"이라고 했다. 그가 늘 신기하게 여기는 건 녹초가 된 상황에서도 카메라 앞에만 서면 모두들 원기를 회복한다는 것. "호동이 형 빼면 '체육인'도 없는데 그렇게 놀라운 체력을 보여줄 수 있는 건 남자들 간 우정 때문 아닐까요? 연예 활동 때문에 학교 MT도 한 번 제대로 간 적 없는데 '1박2일'에서 그런 한(恨)을 지독하게 풀고 있는 셈입니다."

이승기는 지난 방송에서 PD의 장난스러운 요구에 '1박2일'에 2020년까지 출연하기로 장기계약을 맺었다. 그는 "그때쯤이면 제 나이가 34세인데 '허당주니어'와 함께 나오지 않겠느냐"며 "다른 멤버들의 아이들이 모두 함께 나오면 재미있을 것 같다"고 했다.

그러나 이승기는 여전히 가수다. 곧 리메이크 앨범 '남자가 여자를 사랑할 때 2'를 내놓는다. 윤상 '이별의 그늘', 박진영 '너의 뒤에서' 등의 노래를 그의 음성으로 재해석했다. "원래 익숙했던 곡이라 녹음이 무난할 줄 알았는데 제 느낌을 담아내기가 쉽지 않았어요." 그는 "무대 위 가수 이승기와 '1박2일'의 허당 이승기는 극과 극일 수밖에 없다"고 했다. "노래를 할 때는 잘 꾸며진 모습으로 3분 남짓한 시간 동안 제 안에서 끌어낼 수 있는 최대치를 쏟아내야 돼요. 하지만 '1박2일'에서는 말 그대로 한 꺼풀 벗겨지고 적당히 풀어진 자연인 이승기가 있죠. 물론 양쪽 모두 제 진실한 모습들이기는 마찬가지입니다."

Just to inform all of you. I was watching today's KBS' Yunyega aka Entertainment Relay and there was an interview of him on filming set of MV (I presume, cos I can't see the pics that "Dindunz" posted). Looks like a fight scene with a chair in his right hand. I couldn't see the clip clearly online, but I think the cast on his left finger is no longer there . . . not sure if it was only for the filming though.


And I heard his voice singing one of Lee Dong Gun's song in the background. So I am assuming that the filming is for a new MV for the next album. Going to dig out my LDG albums, kekeke

My goodness gone for one night and all this new info! REALLY excited about his upcoming album and seeing the caps just now is really getting me highly anticipated. Everyone is right, he IS looking better and better these days, especially with his hair grown back out. Don't get me wrong, I liked how mature and masculine he looked with short hair, but the longer hair fits him better to me. I like the youthful look of him the most. And about the North Face thing, I think that is so funny. Cause one of the things I always noticed in 1N2D was his clothes and how much he loved North Face. He made the clothes look really good! Ok, maybe one more thing to add. Just watched the clip of his new MV making. It's been 2 years since his last remake album but I don't think he's changed much at all. It looks just like a contination of the last one! I mean he's matured definitely, but if you look at other artists his age, DBSK/Suju, 2 years has really changed them, rather they look much older and to some degree even tired looking. But to me Seung Gi is still maintaining that great smile and brightness/freshness about him which I love. He's growing up so well =)

I'm so happy that his next album is going to be released soon. I thought it was planned to be released sometime in the later half of the year. I guess his management moved it up. Good move considering how popular he is right now. I also hope that it will include "Never Ending Story". I saw a clip of it once on YT and thought that it was one of his BEST vocal performances. It was terrific. And is it too much to ask to include a duet with Yangpa on the song "Scar Deeper than Love"?

And correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds very much like his OLD voice . Am I wrong? It's going to be a hit, I can feel it He looks great in the MV. I loovve the jacket. I think the MV was made before he had the finger injury (w/o the cast). His hair was much longer then.

He's so cute . Like someone said, he looks really good in the color blue. I know he favors the classic black and white but that color just made him look so young and happy. I missed the beginning part of today's 1N 2D but saw LSG joining the rest of the gang midway, with a little bandage round his finger.

There's a black band round his palm and wrist area, not sure if it is the plaster cast, just a sports band to restrict his wrist movement or just a simple glove . . . . Can't see too clearly cos of quality of image watching it online.

They filmed the beginning of 1n2d at Su Geun's wedding. Ah it was funny and cute. There was a little reunion with Ji Sang Ryul and No Hong Chul. Kim C helped Lee Seung Gi clap, Ho Dong fed LSG, MC Mong cut up LSG food, and Ho Dong tricked LSG into kissing him again (like the first episode that LSG came on).

Maybe he was quiet because he came in the middle of filming so he doesn't know what had already passed (what the others talked about or did). But he seemed to have relaxed after when he was shouting at KHD.

I've noticed a long time ago that he's very lively and talkative in the show compared to the others (KHD excluded). He seemed so shy and quiet in previous shows, it was a nice surprise. He's always talking in the show whereas Kim C and Su Guen, for example, will go for long minutes without talking (that's actually aired that is).

Edit: Dindunz, I can't see the picture you posted. I don't have access to Seunggi's website. Can you repost it please?

Vanny, thanks for the clarifications. I was confused. So this is a special remake album and the fourth (or is it fifth?) one will be later this year? Thanks for the YT cuts of 1N2D. The beginning with the wedding banquet was so sweet. Sweet but not too cheesy. Just the right touch of humor. Yeah, I love his outfit . The lighter color and shorter jacket makes him look much younger. I think he was slightly awkward coming in the middle of the shoot; but he was fine toward the end.

I remember that episode. That was so sweet that they each got a photo book. I wonder who took the pictures. The crew?

I'm trying to watch some other videos from mnet but it's not working anymore I'll try again another day...

There are so many screencaps because it took so long for the video to load I rewatched the parts that were loaded many many times so I screencapped it while waiting for the rest lol.

I'll probably screencap the next Seunggi video I watch too. They're old but I don't think we've actually watched them before so it's nice to see them now. Unless the videos are already available in his cafe (lucky people).
