Just finished watching 1n2d this week and loved it! It was so funny to see Seung Gi wash his hair not ONCE, but TWICE cause he knew he was going to be on a music show. Ha ha. Seung Gi really is a pretty boy isn't he? And this may sound funny but I have a thing for pretty hands. And Seng Gi has such pretty and hands and feet! They are long and slender like a girls =) hee hee. Can't wait for next weeks eps with his new hair cut. This weeks show was really entertaining from begining to end so I wonder if anyone knows what ratings it got? Well I gues it may be too early to tell.

I'm a huge Seungi fan since his first album days, and I do visit this thread once in while. I don't comment though because I just don't have enough time to keep up with more than a couple threads. This is probably the first and the last time I'll comment here. ^^

I wanted to address the issue about his schedule being dominated by KBS activities (the only SBS and MBC activities are for the radio, not the TV).
There has been a "war" going on recently between SBS and MBC. Just recently, there has been an article that said singers who go on variety shows cannot appear on the other stations' music shows. Although KBS was not mentioned, it would seem as if Seungi's part in KBS 1 Night 2 Days is preventing him from making his comeback on SBS Inkigayo and MBC Music Core. If you haven't noticed, it's been two weeks since his official comeback, yet he still hasn't performed on Inkigayo and Music Core.

I truly pity Seungi and all the other singers who have been caught in the middle of this "war". Hopefully it won't get so bad that Seungi would have to choose either his music or variety career over the other.

The problem about Korea is that there is no "perfect" chart, especially with how bad the CD sales are nowadays. I think Soompi's chart has to be the most accurate one out there.

Seungi's amazing xD
From his debut, he's been very popular. (won all the New Singer Awards) All his songs have always ranked very high also. Not only that, the fact that he's also a great actor and a hilarious TV personality gives him so many opportunities. Although his fanbase might not be as big as some groups, he is very well-known and loved by many people.

It is true his album had only two notable songs; however, that is the same for almost every other singer/group in the industry. The important thing here is that his song did very well on the charts.
I think despite his drama filming, he's going to try his hardest to remain on 1 Night 2 Days. That show is the second most popular show in Korea at the moment, and it definitely added a lot to Seungi's popularity (clearly seen by the number of CF offers he received recently)
I love all his looks~ He's one of those few people who looks good with short hair, long hair, etc.

^^ melodygreenleaf: can you possibly remind me how much (%-wise) do Inkigayo and Music Core count toward the total score? Plus, i imagine it would be slightly awkward for Seung Gi to return to Inkigayo given the reason why he left it in the first place? On top of that, his new drama is to be aired on MBC. So that puts him squarely in the middle of the mess. Hmm, interesting. Ahh, the drama.... Out of curiosity, what do you think of Seung Gi's career up till now? And of his future success? Especially since you've been following him for a while and I'm just a newbie fan.

^^ I didn't follow him that closely last year. I did think that his win was slightly surprising. Not that he did not deserve it. But his album was only notable for the two songs. But i agree, he does deserve it.

Re: his career. I think he has lots of substance. His talents are sometimes mind-blowing given how young the guy is. He's pretty versatile but at the same time, shrewed enough to carve a niche for himself in the ballads arena. Personally, i think he should branch out more as he matures and ages. Seek more challenges and grow (which he has plenty of time to do). The only drawback is that his company is small; thus i don't know if that will work for or against him as his career continues to expand. Right now, he's able to be and do the things that he wants to do because he is flying under the radar. And he is able to maintain a lot of control over his career. Well, all I know is the guy has charisma and a lot of what it takes to stay in the industry. How he plans to use his talents and which path he will take are up in the air. We'll just hope that he'll make the right decisions. It'll be a blast trying to follow him in the next couple of years.

Also, i think he will have to take a hiatus from 1N2D soon if he is to start filming for his drama. Unless, not uncommon of course, that it is delayed (again).

^^Oh My, is that at all humanly possible? I've heard that the Korean industry is quite tough on the young performers. But on the other hand, Korean male entertainers do have a timeclock ticking phenomenon called the "army draft". So I can see the need to pile on stuffs.

OK, since we're not signing off .. hehehe... what's your opinions on his new look? Now that we've got all the serious stuffs out of the way. I might as well show my shallow self.

You said everything I was thinking there. There's no denying the boy has potential and at such a young age he has so much time to grow still. There are still many possibilities and doors available to him. He'a still learning and it just seems that there is more yet hidden away. But I believe the key thing to his longevity is his hardwork and natural likability. Sure he's cute and charming, but there's also something else about him that you just can't help but love and like. An X-factor of sort. I've always felt that Seung Gi's first album title track was the smartest song choice any newbi could ever have. Not only did it show off his vocals it pulled from his personal charm. People can't help but want to take care of him and nurture him, hence the noona effect. Seung Gi is also one of the few artists, besides Shinhwa, that I trust completely in terms of their career. For the most part he's made good choices so far and maybe it is due to his company being small and allowing him to have a large say in his own path. Seung Gi's growth unlike a lot of groups/singers his age, has never felt rushed or forced. I believe he's deciding for himself his path and doing things on his own terms. He's a smart and insightfull boy. If he continues as he is I think he's going to be around for a long time. I don't know if he'll ever be as big a star as we hope he can be, but nevertheless I think he will always have a good sized fanbase willing to grow up with him.

But i've seen traces here and there of a good sized ambition. Which is good. He needs to be competitive if he is to enter the next level of stardom. On one hand, i love to see him be a big well-known artist. On the other, I cringe at the thought of him losing touch of his self. You know, that's why i was a bit emotional (huh, me? emotional? NEVER!) when i first saw that Music Bank perf. He didn't look like himself there. But was so glad when i saw YDH LL later. Anywayz, I'll settle for him being respected over popular any day.

I was worried that his recent rise in popularity was starting to affect the way he presented himself and performed. I seem to notice a difference in even the way his stage performance was. Which is why his comeback performances have been hit and miss for me. I feel as if he's trying to hard, thinking with his head how to sing vs. singing from his heart. But it's still early in the promotions, as time goes on he will become more relaxed with his perfmances.

I love..love..love his performance in YDH LL..but I think I just love his "entertainer" although I haven't watched it with sound, but it seems very interesting, he can attract all audience there..he was looked so relax..I dont like the other 2 performances..I think he missed some notes in some places..just hear it carefully then you all can hear it..I think he hasn't sung like this before..he always got smooth in every performance he had before..but this one I hear he always miss the note..I think its all bcoz he sustain his voice so he cant sing it just the way he was before..

It mentions how when LSG first came on the show 2plus years ago, he and Lee Hyori exchanged signed CDs... And during the taping of this particular episode, LSG mentioned how much he cherishes that CD Lee Hyori signed, and to this day, he shows it off to his friends.

MBC and SBS at war as singers caught in crossfire

MBC and SBS sparked off a controversy when they recently announced that singers who appear on other stations’ Sunday variety programs will not be allowed to appear on their station’s music programs. The management of the singers have been notified of the new rule, which has been implemented with immediate effect, starting with the programs in early April.

Thus this means that singers who appear on MBC’s Sunday Sunday Night and SBS’ Good Sunday will not be able to appear on SBS’ Inkigayo and MBC’s Show! Music Core. With the new restriction, the real victims are not only the singers, but the audience as well. Less exposure could spell doom for singers especially.

A spokesperson from one management company said, “Although singers appear on variety shows in the hope of getting a spot on the music programs, even this will be difficult now. Singers, being at the losing end of the bargain, can’t do much but do the bidding of the stations. The fans are likely to form organized protests against this, and singers themselves are also nervous about this.”

Singers’ appearances on music programs are often a result of their appearances on the stations’ variety shows, and it has always been the norm. Appearances also give them a chance to air their MV clips after popular programs.

However, the two stations’ move of banning singers comes across as somewhat impulsive and extreme. It’s clear that the rivalry between both stations have reached a boiling point judging from their history with each other.

An industry insider said, “Both stations have been at odds since the end of last year, when MBC refused to allow singers from their artiste management company appear on Exploration of the Human Body on SBS’ Good Sunday. The response to We’re Married on MBC’s Sunday Sunday Night has also been very good. Doesn’t this move seem like a reactive measure then?”

I don't think that could ever happen to dramas though, it would just cause way too much trouble! btw- what station is LSK's version of Il Ji Mae?
but yeah, I know sometimes a single star or company could have a problem with a station (like Song SeungHun &&MBC wayyyy back in the day + YG &&SBS a few years ago, supposidly), but to separate stars (for dramas) into specific stations only, would be ridiculous. I really hope that doesn't happen.



Oh, and I was hoping that the contract that LSK signed wasn't a joke because they he would HAVE to always be on the show.. despite his busy schedule with the drama! lol, I know it's horrible because then I'm basically wishing that he will be overworked.. but I would hate not being able to see him on 1N2D.. ;;; if he leaves, I'll miss the huh-dang so much. ㅋㅋ

i'm sad to hear he's been banned from performing on MBC and SBS. most seem to be banned from just one, but he's banned from both? does KBS/KBS2 have a similar music program?

Iljimae is scheduled to air on MBC. Shouldn't hold your breath until it actually aired though. The Iljimae version by Lee Jun Ki is to start late May. So it is definitely getting the spotlight first. It seems counterintuitive to have the same story repeated again a couple of months later (even if it will get a different treatment). LJK is a much more established actor so he may (or may not) pull in better ratings. Would love to see LSG in the role though. But, I haven't heard a lot of buzz surrounding it, so no news is bad news?



Well, the fact that LSG left Inkigayo (as the interim host) for 1N2D might already set him up for this unpleasantness. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he leave even before they got a replacement? So even if the stations do not have this "war", it would have been at least awkward to appear there again? (That's just my guess). We'll probably see more radio performances from him with this album promotions. And of course, variety shows circuit, MNET, KBS, etc.. stuffs. It's a blessing that he's in a very popular variety show. He still gets some exposure. Still unfair definitely. But yah, the drama...

Thanks o51029 for the link to the radio program - I wasn't able to watch it because I have a mac (at least I think that's why I was having trouble watching the program). In any case, I'm just glad that LSG is making the KBS talk show rounds with Lee Su Geun. The move is nicely calculated, as LSG has carved out quite a character for himself on 1N2D, so his management (and KBS and whoever) are positioning LSG next to a top comedian in Lee Su Geun and create the perception that LSG has a lot of comedic talent even though LSG really doesn't at the moment (they're clearly going for the "funny by association" strategy).

I personally think that LSG's management is going to continue to shape him into an actor, and that's where I think his longevity lies. I think that musically, his star will fade/have started to fade upon his entry into the army (whenever that is - five years from now?), because in addition to becoming irrelevant for two plus years while in the military, the natural progression of almost all pop stars is a VERY ephemeral one. Pop stars outgrow their fans, and their fans outgrow them too. Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez were pop stars. Maybe LSG will be a hugely popular singer 10 years from now, but I doubt it. I hope that isn't the case, but I'm just being realistic here and emotionally preparing myself for something like this haha. I think he will be a leading man - in dramas and movies. I don't think he'll be that sexy, action-y stud like Jo In Sung, but instead, he'll be that good looking, charming every-man lead, perfect for romantic comedies and melodramas.

As far as the whole MBC/SBS battle, I wonder, like bedifferent (Hi bedifferent!), just how aversely affected LSG's album sales are for not showing up on those network's programs... I'm sure it doesn't help, but I wonder how much it hurts.
I also question why MBC would put on the same drama within a couple of months... I hope LSG's Iljimae doesn't pan out because I don't want him to leave 1N2D! I want that show to go on until Kim Jong Min returns!!!

^^ Hello there, Boo Yorker! You’ve brought up some interesting points. Totally in the same boat with you regarding LSG’s comic ability. I’ve noticed it for a while now but glad that someone’s frank enough to admit that. I think the guy is adorakable. His appeal is his winsome personality. He’s witty and downright goofy at times. However,in 1N2D (with the exception of a few), a lot of his funny scenes are accidental, not necessary intentional. He’s funny through circumstances, in other words. On the other hand, Eun Ji Won is funnayyyy. His comedic timing is pretty good. His deadpan straight face delivery gets to me every time. The episode where he’s in charge of the show’s destination and assigning responsibilities is great. You do have a point in the “funny by association” part. It’s a good move. I don’t know if they are aiming for the “talent by osmosis” idea also. If you put these many comedians all together in one place, something got to rub off, right? LSG is obviously even more comfortable in the variety show setting now. It’s his home.

I agree that Seung Gi does need to grab the moment and run with it. He’s out of his pop-idol teenage years. It’s his moment of change. I don’t know how much far as an actor he will go. I’ve not seen much of his acting besides those in the music videos so I can’t comment. Does anyone know if he is taking acting classes? Obviously he’s not majoring in entertainment or arts at school. I think he’s very pragmatic; look at his college major. Objectively speaking (forgive me, LSG fangirls), he does not fit the traditionally or classically drop-dead handsome leading man image. But put everything together, personality and look, he’s awfully attractive. So yah, I see your points. (BTW, Jo In Sung is action-y and studly? Have you seen his pictures lately? Hehehe. But I digress.)

In general, singers are quite at the mercy of their materials. I mean you can’t sing covers all the time (Bless him, he does sing them well though). To me, it looks like Seung Gi is more of a singer than a musician. Which is fine. But I’d love if he shows more interests in music than just singing – maybe writing his own music or involving more in the album arrangements. It would extend his musicality further. Cause true musicians often do so much more behind the scenes than in front of the mike. That’s where his “longevity” lies. But again, the guy is young so we’ll just have to wait to see if those will perk his interests.

I don't know if his management is really directing him to become more of an actor than singer. I think they want to maintain the balance by developing him as an actor and maintaining his singing.

Certainly they want his longevity in the entertainment biz, and variety gives him that if he's successful in it. So far, I would say he's been moderately successful musically with the various awards and high music chart placements but allegedly low album sales. He'll probably always be associated with his debut song while the other songs will be forgotten in the future (sad to say I know, but it's probably the only song that keeps coming up even now). I agree that longevity in music will involve some behind the scenes work (like writing). Look at JYP, now that's longevity. I don't really think that will happen to Lee Seung Gi though. Or maybe it's too early to say...

As for acting, so far they've been side characters in comedic roles in two shows. Here's a quote from the Chil Sisters thread:

In 1n2d, I do think a lot of his humour is accidental (his hu-dang moments). Sometimes I feel that he's exaggerating it a little. Example in Happy Together and the whole track suit thing, it was cute and all but shouldn't he have known about the segment? The guests don't go on these type of variety shows completely blind. Otherwise, his 1n2d moments I think are genuine.

And, he's only 21! I feel like I'm belabouring this point but gosh, I really can't believe he's 21! I look forward to what the future brings.

Ha ha! Am I the fashion police? But you read my mind, I was just about to comment on this. Seung Gi completely owns the preppy look and all, I mean to me no one looks better in black slacks and sweater than he does, but his latest rounds of puffy scarfing are a two thumbs down for me. Especially this last one with the...what is it skulls? eh..reminds me of the boyscotts. Can't wait until he gets tired of them and finds another type of preppy. On the upshoot, this last comeback performane was really good. He sounds much more comfortable with the song now that he's sung it quite a bit and he even looks more natural performing it too. That's why I've always liked to watch singers towards the middle/end of there promos because they've usually worked out all their nerves and have perfected their routine to the point when they can do it without even thinking about it. That's when all the good stuff comes out.

In terms of longetivity as a singer, I agree that in order to survive the business you have to be willing to be involved in it. Ie: Shinhwa, JYP, Kangta...You have to be able to create something new for yourself over and over and prove that you are still valuable and marketable whether it's writing, producing, lyrics or even finding your own music. It garners respect and loyal fans. I don't know to what extent Seung Gi's musical abilities go beyond singing, but it's already his 5th album he should realistically be able to have a large input in the direction of his music and even put his own material into if he wanted to. I think Seung Gi could have a long career in music if he chooses to, but it'll all depend on how deeply he wishes to pursue this or where his passion really lays. At the moment I see him pursuing the mutli-tainer route just because that seems to be the best way for him to garner more attention and expossure, but which of course has it's pros and cons for a true singer. I just don't want to see him caught halfway between both, good at both, but not truly suceeding in either. Eh.. but then again he's 21 why shouldn't he try everything there is to offer? Everyone's a multi-tainer these days anyways. And to be honest, for the fangirl in me, the more oppurtunities for me to see him the better. I have other thoughts on his acting too, but I'll save that for another day. I stay up way too late.

But one last comment. The boy is obsessed with whitening? LOL. I would never have guessed. His convo with huyn joong was just hilarious. Two pretty boys pointing at eachother and saying who has better skin. That's classic

I thought it was the best perf of his title song so far. The tempo and pitch were just right; they did not feel out of place. I like the simple and toned down presentation. He looked more at ease. Sometimes you should just let the song breathe. It's already a pretty song. It does not need much more embellishment. BTW, green sweater looks good.

I listened to it without watching the screen. And was impressed by the depth of his voice. Looks like he's warmed up and back to his old game.

I agree. "People that make me sad" is the most vocally-challenging track in the album. Hope that he'll have another chance to perform it again on the TV tour. He did a fantastic job in the album. eequeezee is right, the last 45 seconds was worth the wait.

Hi everyone~~~hope everyone's having a great weekend.

A couple of thoughts in response to some posts, and some other just random musings:

I really wish LSG starts writing his own songs --- he seems to be musically inclined, as he plays guitar and piano (and any other instruments?), so it would really be nice if he can become more of an artist than just a singer. He has a great voice, and his personality is unique and different from most of the other k-poppers out there. Hopefully, someone like Psy might be that collaborator who can bring out LSG's talents and together, they can make some great albums that can really create some kind of legacy because if he doesn't, then he'll be just like everyone else. I watched the SangSangPlus episode he and Lee SuGeun were on today, and I thought about Lee Hyori (who I heart) in relation to LSG. Lee Hyori was/is arguably THEE BIGGEST singer/performer in this half-generation. She's past her prime, isn't a good actress (tried and failed I think), but because of her looks and personality, has become a staple on variety shows as a MC. LSG is a great singer, but his popularity as a singer will undoubtedly peak as well (again, I hope this doesn't happen, but I can't help but be realistic), so I just hope he becomes a great actor because I want him to become one of Korea's all-time great entertainers, and revered when he's old like certain entertainers (not sure if Lee Hyori will achieve that kind of stature...).

Bedifferent - HI! I haven't seen Jo In-sung's recent flicks. I think of DIRTY CARNIVAL when I think of him, and I get all hot and bothered heehee. I was just saying that LSG isn't going to be that kind of (traditionally) gorgeous/sexy/studly actor.
You know what's kinda funny? I remember when I was like 12, I would watch Xman and (confession here) I thought LSG was NOT ATTRACTIVE AT ALL. Whenever he'd steal Kang Ho Dong's ladies during the couples portion of the show, I'd say to my mom, "I'd rather be with Kang Ho Dong!" Then LSG went on Love Letter and while I liked him more (still wasn't obsessed with him like I am now), I would always raise an eyebrow when he would end up with someone beautiful like Park Jung Ah. I was probably too young to register his charm at the time, but also now, I realize that a lot of that was Kang Ho Dong helping shape LSG's popularity. My mom actually shed some light on this when we were watching 1N2D when Kang Ho Dong sprayed water on LSG. LSG asked KHD why he did that, and KHD said, "(poorly translated) this way my image looks bad, yours looks good and you win the hearts of everyone." The point of this I guess is to say that I absolutely love Kang Ho Dong because you can tell he's such a wonderful big brother to LSG in front and behind the camera, and also that maybe I'm a little saddened to think that even a tiny part of LSG's wonderfulness is manufactured? Bedifferent ? What do you think???

Regarding the scarf with skulls - I HATE IT! I think it's TOO MUCH. It's very...deliberate? Meaning I can TELL they're trying to make him look Ralph Lauren. You know an actor's doing a bad job if you can see him or her acting, well I feel like I can see the stylists at work with this scarf. I want to see LSG and feel like he dressed himself in nice clothes and that he'd never wear that scarf with skulls. What if the scarf was really his idea??? Also, it's weird, because his hairstyle (the long bangs) was meant to give him a more edgy look, and he definitely had that in his MV for Give You My All...the leather jacket and getting shot and stuff obviously helped, but I couldn't at all believe him as that kind of guy (whereas I can buy his characters in his other MVs).

Well it’s kinda hard to catch up what everyone discussing now ^^;; so just some of my thoughts for the points taking my attention.


I miss his old voice like I miss how he sang on stage for his previous albums. I don’t mean now he’s bad in performing. But I can’t feel the song as I used to do for his songs “Shape of Lips”, “Words Hard to Say”, “Please”,… he did really transmit those songs very well to me who don’t understand a half of the Korean word though. But now I can only ‘watch’ he sings. I think he’s insiting too much on his aspect, such as how his face should act while singing. I HATE how they [his managers, boss, whosoever] ask him to do it, like they did for his voice. That’s why though it sounds weird but I think [now] he’s best at the radio performances. Because there are no specialized cameras, or at least they don’t zoom in his face, they don’t air it on TV, so he can sing and show his emotion on the way he wants and he naturally is.


the scarf with skulls, I think it’s not his idea. Basing on his personality as we know so far, he’s not kind of person getting fond of those stuffs. He’s kinda a “decent” guy. For the clothing on stage or at public events, I think the stylist does it totally instead, and I also think his company should consider changing a new one. I still remember how strange he was at a performance on music bank last year, the jean had a fight with the short dark coat [for old man, i bet ]



and the query of eequeezee for bedifferent, “even a tiny part of LSG's wonderfulness is manufactured?” hope you don’t mind if I also wanna talk something about it.
Though we find Seung Gi is very special and different among those young singers, he’s still a public figure. He has to care what ordinary people think it might be unescessary for guys [such as skin whitening lolz]. And again, since he’s the person of public, they have to care for what is best for him. Just think, I believe the way he acted in front of the nunas before, it’s kinda “taught” at all, how he should smile, talk, and so many things that I can’t name all. But what they didn’t teach yet he still does it, how polite he is in front of the seniors, how friendly he shows with the people that even are not as popular and famous as him, he still shows his honest respect to them. And we can realize how different they treat him back comparing to other young singers. I think you can see what I mean. To me it’s enough. Those tiny bothers don’t disturb me too much. No one’s perfect like nothing’s perfect, including his “wondefulness”. Yup, it might be a “product” of this industry again but we should look at how he takes it for himself and how he “controls/handles” it.

And thank you for enjoying my fanvid ^^ Glad to see your compliment, though I don’t think its that good ^^;; if you could have the chance, you can see many amazing fanvids that you don’t think they’re made by fans. I’m trying to reach that stage. Though I know I’m unable but I always want to make things for him that they’re good as or better than other fans do for their singers, because he so deserves it. Actually I really didn’t have much time to make that fanvid perfect as I wanted. I was on the rush with my feeling. The song is so the same to me, like it talks about myself >< I don’t know if there is someone like me but I’m really falling in the stress of loving him. ^ mzsmiley: Thank you for the links. Cute. If Seung Gi has not already rock your world, this episode might do just that. I laughed out loud at them dubbing MC Mong. Someone, please, you have to translate that for us. A lot of funny scenes in this episode. The part where they gang up on him with the cameras is priceless. The concert looks fun. The way they gave up their cell phones. The poses on the deck are hilarious. OMG, KHD! Titanic! The way Su Geun just sidestepped them onto shore is so crazily funny.

eequeezee, Lee Hyori, eh? Well, that's another long post in itself. I'll spare everyone the torture and just concentrate on LSG since this is after all his thread. I have mixed feelings about multi-entertainers. So I'll hold that thought until it's time to comment. Celebrity image is all smoke and mirrors. Even "reality" television shows have to be orchestrated at least to some degrees. (Though we're only a few years apart, you can tell that I'm jaded wayyy beyond my years. hehe).

I do sense that Seung Gi's image is one that is shaped directly from the public's perception of the guy. There are parts of his public personna that reflect his own. But there definitely are some that were consciously formulated as part of the LSG package. I think that he is a nice talented guy with a gift for singing. It's what I think you would get if you start to peel off all the layers built around him. Yes, KHD and the media did help usher this awkward teenager into a confident young man that he is now. Some might be manipulated, but a lot were all his own personalities. Bottomline, it's going to be up his fans like you who are here to keep him real, yah?

I like his MV. Because it is so unexpectedly un-Seung Gi. I guess he didn't completely sold it for you. It's still cool. Even if I disliked it, I'd still appreciate the quality of the photographs. It was nicely put together.

The scarf issue. Hahaha. It's a total flop to you guys, heh? I think the accessory is meant for him to look suave, girls. Personally, I just have this cultural insensitivity toward Korean's tendency to feminize their male entertainers. I don't like it either. He does have an affinity for the scarf many times in the past. See below. (Honestly, I wanted to put up this YT link cause I absolutely adore this understated performance by Seung Gi. I was hoping for him to include this song in Remake #2. The scarf thingy is just an excuse.)

I guess the stylists (or maybe LSG himself) missed the point on this one. He already has a nice style all his own. Different from the generic ballad singers. I mean there's nothing more attractive than a guy who is unawared of his cuteness. Or at least not looking like he's trying too hard to be.



Vanny, it's always nice to see your post. I can see that you are slightly disheartening at the changes you see in Seung Gi. If I may, . I guess life requires that we all make adjustments as we live it everyday. Part of the maturing process for me is to accept these changes as gracefully as I can. And to move on. Plus, it always help to do it with a sense of self-deprecating humor. Cause you should never ever take yourself or life too seriously. So along that line, I truly hope that you're doing well.

I'm glad that you enjoy his radio perfs like I do. It has been a habit of mine lately to actually replay the clip afterward and just listen to the song without looking at the perf. It is an audio performance afer all. I do notice that the radio versions often are less restrained. I like it for the non-rehearsed imperfect take of the song. Personally, I think he often nailed them.

Thank you so much for the translated Q&A above. "Decent" is the exact word that I would use to describe the guy's appeal. I love his answers above. These are instances where you get snippets of the guy's personality to confirm that he's real. I don't know if you can attribute all his changes to the management team. I do think LSG has some saying in them. I agree, as long as he is able to retain some of the characteristics that held him endearing to you, that's all that matters. To me, it's slightly ironic. Because I connect with the guy not through his ballad image or supposedly "huh-dang" image on 1N2D. I just think he's a cool nice 21 year old with a happy personality who happened to be a kick-ass singer. For those reasons, I still like the guy. Maybe I'm too naive, but I'd like to hope that I'm not wrong... at least, some of the time.
