Hello all, just thought I'd pop in and say a bit before I turn in for the night. Just saw Seung Gi's Mnet win and am darn happy. His little intro for MC Mong was very cute and I loved how affectionate it sounded when he called to his "hyung". For a non-radio performance, this was one of the best ones he's had so far with this song. I can feel he's slowly slipping into his original style more as the promotions continue. It's less light and breathy and a little more Seung Gi big voice.. And yes, the vest is back and the long legs are LOVE! Him and slacks are a PERFECT match =) But I just know someday he's going to look back and see those scarves and cringe.

Eeequezee, thanks again for more translations and the update on his drama. I really really hope they spend as much time on the script as they are with the rest of the planning. This is going to be an interesting spring/summer with all these sagueks coming out. Lee Junki's, Eric's, and Seung Gi's. I love all these guys and wish for all of them to do well, but I can't help but feel worried for Seung Gi as he will be the last one to air and possibly being a repeat story too. I guess I sholdn't worry too much since it's still relatively early in Seung Gi's acting career. He can afford a mishap or two and still go on. More than anything I think the important thing for him is to get positive reviews for his acting.

Oh and I hope your ankle is much better now. Your a tennis lover too? I used to play a lot in high school and was on the varsity team, but I don't get to play much anymore with work and all, but I remember how I used to obsess over it =) Take care of yourself and stay health!

And thanks everyone else who's uploaded vids, pics, and article tidbits. Your continual updates and thoughts allow me to continue to support Seung Gi and feed the fangirl in me. Hope your all having a good week and I'll chime back in on Sunday with my latest rants on 1n2d =)

Ok, one more thing if somebody knows...Does DirecTV's KBS channel have subtitles? I have DirecTV too and I know they have a Korean channel package, but I'm not sure what that includes and if there's English subs on any of those. Thanks and good nite!

Otherwise, the guy looks fine. I vote for us to clone him and Fed Ex version 1 to eequeezee to keep her company while she writes those fabulous 1N2D summaries for us EVERY Sunday. (No pressure ok, eequeezee?).

DirectTV does have several dedicated international channels. It does have KBS World - subtitled programming. But depends on where you live, KBS World is only on for a couple of hours block at a time. The rest of the time, the channel is opened for other international/Korean stations or paid programming. I checked and it did not have 1N2D yet in the LA area. Your best bets in the US is dish or Time Warner (which requires a digital box and a small fee for the international channel).

I'm hoping that his Iljimae has a modern feel... cause the Goong series was very much geared toward the younger than 25 yo. If history repeats itself, the set and costumes should be very pretty. Yeah, by the time his drama comes along, we'd have all OD on sageuks. R you planning to watch Eric's?

In any case, I hope it's drastically different from the Iljimae that precedes LSG's Iljimae. LSG and his drama will be compared endlessly if it can't transcend the Iljimae that airs all but a few months beforehand (I'm still scratching my head over MBC for doing this). I just hope hope hope that LSG doesn't leave 1N2D when Iljimae shoots... I don't know how he can do both schedule-wise...
Also, I don't want a clone of LSG --- I want the real LSG

Hi ivey79~~~ Thanks - my ankle's much better. I love love love tennis. I play volleyball too, but I don't enjoy it nearly as much as tennis. I'm on varsity (was #2 singles this year). I wish I started a lot earlier so that I could go to college for free or maybe pursued a pro career or something, but BOO I didn't... LSG and I will just have to raise a pro tennis player I guess

I read on the 1N2D thread that Vanny watched the first subbed episode - which was the Washington D.C./quiz episode... That episode and the ones after that will most likely be posted on youtube by someone I assume... So I'm wondering if I even need to post my explanations/thoughts anymore... KBS World's 1st Eng-subbed Episode aired on 24 April 2008, which is Ep177 originally shown on 2008-03-30 in Korea. So, on average the 'delay' between the unsubbed and subbed versions is almost 4 weeks. Just stating for info, incase others ask the same question later on.

Hello all couldn't resist coming on and posting a quick reply! I just watched the Music Bank performance and bedifferent you are right! That was thet BEST performance to date not to be mention the cutest too. I almost died just from smiling seeing how cute Seung Gi was when he won first place. He immediately turned to MC Mong and gave hin a hug. MC Mong AND Tablo rubbed his head like he was some little kid, well kid brother. So Kawaii! Like you said o51029 it's an attestation to his likeablity. He's like everyon'e little brother. The bananas were priceless too. Coudln't believe he held onto them and sang, but they made great mikes for the other boys =) Thanks tiki_sq for the backstage pics I'm going to have to finish watching this later cause I have to head out, but they look so funny. Please don't expect her or anyone else to upload even more English-subbed shows on KBS World on a regular basis. I, for one, don't want rotten eggs thrown at me, for being so bold as to ask, without batting my eyes. I am sure she/others have a life outside of feeding us with convenient accesses. Remember, that all these conveniences are at the price of someone else's precious time away from Family/School/Work/Life etc. I would graciously accept what they offer voluntarily and not ask for more. It may just be a one-hour show to us, but she has had to split it into 6-7 parts and then upload to YouTube, which then takes about an hour per part. So I only ask for your understanding on the matter. I will not act on any such request(s) now or in the future . . .

OH MY GOSH... Just finished watching today's (last week's) episode twice. This was one of the most fun episodes ever. SO FUNNEEEEEE!!! I see that dubbed episodes are now being uploaded on youtube, so I'll stop my translations after this. I'm still laughing thinking about some of the moments!!! AAAAH!!!!

Bedifferent - where are you traveling around? For work? For fun? Hope you're having a blast!!!

Okay here goes:

HUT-BUILDING SCENE
Upon realizing that the wood planks are extra-long, LSGeun says that he'll cut them with A ROCK (!?!?!). It was hilarious to see LSGeun actually cut the plank with a rock, but even funnier to see LSG unable to do so with a SAW (!?!?)! LSG even asks, "How do you use this thing?" It was really cool to see LSGeun's team getting into the spirit of being out in the wild and making do with what they had (theme of the trip) while KHD's team had all the tools but struggled. Funny exchange when LSGeun yells out "what are you guys doing?" EJW replies, "we're building a house. What about you guys? What are those? Clotheslines?"
Upon noticing LSGeun's team already putting up the tarp/roof, KHD calls a time-out and goes, "We'll give you all the nails we have if you give us LSGeun." (haha) Two hours later, LSGeun's team is done (while KHD's team haven't gotten far at all) so LSGeun's team decides to prepare something to eat...

CATCHING SAUSAGE WITH MOUTH SCENE
LSGeun teases KHD's team by yelling out "Let's fry up some sausages!" As MCM and KimC eat the sausage raw, hungry LSG goes, "is it tasty? It's better if you fry it..." MCM replies, "you think so?" LSG - "you think if you threw a piece from there I'd be able to (catch and) eat it?" MCM - "okay, if I throw this and you catch it in your mouth, I'll give each of you a sausage." EJW says he wants to play as well. As KHD hammers away at a nail, he thinks to himself (the writing on the screen says), "goodness, don't those two have any pride?" Hilarious as LSG catches the sausage bit. MCM then tells KHD that if he catches a sausage bit in his mouth, he'll give them 10 sheets of nori. KHD is like, "gosh, this is like being some kind of animal..." LSG tells MCM that instead of the nori, they'd like 2 ramens. KHD catching the sausage bit and laughing, then crying from the shame of stooping this low for food, HAS to be one of the funniest moments EVER! EVER. Oh my gosh that was HILARIOUS!!! EJW's comforts KHD - "hyung it's ok, it's ok" and LSG goes, "It's ok hyung I did it too" (TOO funny!!!)

CHOPSTICKS SCENE
As the KHD team cooks the ramen, KHD says, "hey we don't have any chopsticks." LSG lets out a frustrated "Aishhh" --- but right then MCM asks if they can borrow a mini-shovel, which excites the KHD team because they have something to offer in exchange for chopsticks. Hilarious exchange when LSG (with the tool in hand) says to LSGeun, "hyung, in exchange for this, give us three chopsticks." LSGeun laughs at how LSG is implying that he won't give them the mini-shovel if LSGeun doesn't give him THREE chopsticks. LSG - "Considering I have 500 chopsticks, losing THREE isn't really a problem for me you know?" LSG laughing - "you're right I'm sorry." (funny!)
KHD then asks for an egg...and then we see the LSG reaching out with the sickle moment (so funny!).

ZERO GAME
KHD's team sharing the 2 ramen only kickstarted their appetite, so KHD asks the producer to offer up some food that the two teams can compete for. So they play the zero game. Self explanatory but in case --- One team is squatted down and the other team yells out 0, 1, 2, or 3. If the number of guys that stand up is the same as the number that the standing team shouts out, then the standing team wins.
As the game starts, KHD's team talks strategy and none of them think that MCM will shout 1, 2, or 3 - NOT zero, so they agree that they will stay squatted down, but MCM yells out zero, and LSG and EJW get up - SO not what they said they were going to do! Huh-dang and Cho-ding --- they're so silly! But hey, if they remain squatted, LSGeun's team would have won the point...and that's what KHD's team were thrilled about after that first point: "Good thing we didn't listen to ourselves!" (Goofballs!)
Funny moment when KHD's team wins another point and KHD goes, "come on! Come on!" LSG, all stressed out, goes, "take me out of this, I can't go on playing this game" (haha).

BBQ SCENE
MCM comes over and starts making fun of the house KHD's team built, saying, "SangGeun's house is probably better than this." KHD offers MCM a taste of the BBQ pork-belly and upon tasting it, MCM takes the whole piece of meat and says that he'll secure the tarp on KHD team's hut. LSGeun and KimC start to get upset with MCM as they start to crave the pork belly...KHD and MCM have their funny "thumbs-up" moment...and all the guys ultimately get together to enjoy the meal together after KHD invites LSGeun and KimC to try the fire-cooked pork (I love it when they all gather together to eat - it's sweet).

LSG EATING PART OF THE BBQ SCENE - as LSG keeps eating and eating, LSGeun goes, "SeungKi-ya why are you eating so well (meaning wow you are putting it away!)." KHD goes, "you've been wanting to eat badly huh?" Then LSGeun and KHD say that LSG looks like some rich kid who left home, lost his way, and ultimately found some friends in the mountains." (haha!) LSG laughs and says, "I was REALLY HUNGRY!" (so cute! I love how the guys all look out for LSG - their baby brother!)

AFTER DINNER...
The guys stand together and KHD talks about how being out in the wild without technology isn't as bad as originally thought. LSGeun says, "fine, but can we at least have the use of our phones? I have a pregnant 23 year old wife alone at home!" Then KimC says, "Hey where do you get off demanding stuff when you got a 23 year old girl pregnant? What good have you done? Who do you think you are?" (funny!) Then LSG says that he'd really like to go online just once and the guys give him crap - "Why to check on your popularity? your fame?" (Gotcha LSG!)

SOCCER -
They get into the soccer games to possibly switch huts (this became a bet because LSGeun's team's hut didn't have a flat floor...so LSGeun's team made switching huts a bet), and decide who gets to have access to the comforts of Utopia... The games were SO FUN TO WATCH! KHD coming up short by one kick to tie was SO SUSPENSEFUL!!! AGH!!! And LSG vs. MCM was so funny! (I love everyone SO MUCH!).

UTOPIA -
Ah so many funny moments here!!!
LSGeun calls his wife: "Honey, we won the games so they're allowing us to use the phone^^ Is there anyone you'd like to talk to?" Screen goes dark as his wife tells him that she'd like to speak with LSG (haha!). LSGeun hands LSG the phone and says, "LSG, chat a bit with my wife. Have a cheerful chat...make her happy."
LSG - "Hello how are you - you're well right?" LSGeun's wife asks LSG to sing for her. LSG - "a song? Okay, I'll sing you a song with hopes of you sleeping comfortably." As LSG starts singing, LSGeun says, "hey don't sing too well I don't want her heart running away from me (and over to you)." LSG finishes singing, returns the phone. LSGeun asks his wife if she enjoyed that and she tells him that it was great, so LSGeun says to LSG, "she said she loved it here have a cookie." (SO SILLY and FUNNY!)
MCM tells LSGeun that he has a new album out too so LSGeun hands over the phone to him, as EJW pretends to be a waiter and yells out "Who ordered the coffee? If it was no one then I'll drink it." MCM asks everyone to be quiet so he can serenade LSGeun's wife. MCM starts singing "Circus" and EJW yells out, "hey that's not good for the kid (baby inside LSGeun's wife's stomach) to hear!" MCM raps but then abruptly ends his bit and apologizes (jehsong-hab-nida) to LSGeun's wife (hahaha that was so funny!). I wonder what she said to MCM!?!

LSG ON THE COMPUTER - KHD asks what he's doing and he says that he's checking to see how "I'll Give You My All" is doing. Then LSGeun asks what today's most searched topic is. LSG says - "LSG I'll Give You My All." LSGeun - "What's #2?" LSG - "I'll Give You My All." The guys ask what #3 is and LSG says, "Lee Seung Gi." Then EJW says, "I'll tell you guys what's really the top search. OH...#1 is indeed I'll Give You My All...by Jo Kyu Man ssi."

INSIDE THE HUTS -
HILARIOUS exchange between KHD and LSG:
KHD - Seung Gi, do you fart?
LSG - Of course I fart hyung, why wouldn't I?
KHD - Wow...
LSG - There are a lot of times where my farts are vicious.
KHD laughs hyserically (I LOVED that LSG said that!!!)

There was a touching moment where MCM talks about how he struggled early on in his career. MCM Fighting!!!

Okay, I just saw an epidsode of this one show with Lee Seung Gi and Kang Ho Dong, MC Mong, Haha (I think), and various others. They're like, sleeping together and filming nonstop or something, but I thought it was pretty entertaining. I was wondering what this show is called...? I remember they were all sleeping, but echoing things like owls... Anyways, Lee Seung Gi was really cute in the previous episodes, and I was wondering what the actual name of the show was...? Just saw this. Was Cho Kyu Man in the second cut? (Sorry, don't know how the guy look like? ). Though he was directly involved, I would love to know what he thinks of LSG rendition. I think I'm getting accustomed to LSG's version. Still love CKM's emotion-laden version, but definitely must give props to LSG for a seemingly more technically difficult take. When he belts out the last chorus, there's something about his voice that makes the song (for lack of a better word..) "bigger". A little bit "grander" I guess. Perhaps a bit more memorable. "I'll give you all" might be sung again by another singer. Though I'm not sure whether anyone would attempt to sing it the LSG-way. So who knows, may be this version will be as classic as the first.



Uhhh, yah... My poor eyes. Nice job. The raspiness is back. No frills; but then who needs it with a voice like that. There's something about it that screams "acoustic guitar". Hope he'll sing some more songs from the album live. There are a few more that deserve to be recognized.

I've been watching LSG cuts in the drama Seven Princesses and I just have to say LSG is just absolutely adorable playing a mama boy. I enjoy every bit of it even if I don't understand what they're saying.
I love how he sticks out his butt for his mom to spank him every time he think he did something to upset her lol

Thanks mzsmiley for those links. LOL I haven't watched Chil Princess in a while, but I remember when I first knew Seung Gi was in it I surfed all of Youtube for his cuts. Unfortunately I coudln't find the ending ones and ended at ch. 63 or something. I loved him in this drama too. Favorably impressed at his acting and I think someone said that they originally we're going to cut him out sooner, but because he was doing such a good job and well liked that they kept him in the drama for as long as they did. The slapping of his butt is ridiculously funny. He was only 19 at the time too. I also really liked how they dressed him. I keep telling my other half to take some pointers =)

On another note, it's been a while since he's been on any other TV program to promote. Mainly radio shows it seems. I'm wondering if it's because he's prepping for his drama. Whatever he's up to I just hope he's getting enough rest. I'm sure he doesnt sleep much on weekends due to 1n2d and with promos, drama, and school...Please don't lose too much weight. Seung Gi, your a thin boy as it is.

if you go on crunchyroll, they have uploaded the series under famous princesses. its airing in SG now, and someone was kind enough to upload it. the SG version has both chinese and english subs. but because the series is still airing here, its not fully uploaded yet. hope this helped..

Reading some people's thoughts on this past Sunday's episode, it's clear that this trip is so that the guys can celebrate Children's Day - which is on May 5. I can't wait to watch it.

I have a question to throw out to everyone ---
So now that KBS has started airing subbed episodes, starting with the "Washington D.C" episode, should we all discuss that? Or should I just watch the latest episode on youtube and get in sync with everyone else? Is everyone ok with me chiming in a week late with my thoughts on the episode --- especially now considering you guys will all see the subbed episodes in a few week's time? I guess I'm feeling like this thread would be that much more terrific if everyone was on the same page, yeah?

I agree with you that it would be more fun to be on the same page and be in sync with the same eps. I like to chime in after each new ep because it's fresh in my mind and I can't help but put in my two cents. But it doesn't mean we can't back track and talk about old eps too. Subbed eps are going to be a few weeks out and you watch eps that are one week behind. Pretty much the only way to be in sync would be to watch the latest ep out, but it doesn't mean we can't back track and discuss certain eps as a topic. Especially once the subs come out. Besides, seems like each time I re-watch I find something new or funny I didn't notice before.

Oh and on the Clubbox thing. Do you just prefer not to use it or are you not sure how to use it? There's lots of tutorials out there that make it pretty easy. Even for someone like me whom can't read Korean, I was able to register and get a log in. It really is the way to go if your into Kdramas and variety programs. Let me know if you need help.

Thanks for letting me know about the possible theme this week. I was guessing that it centers around some sort of children celebration by the look of the preview. (Excuse the sidebar- re: Nell, it has been suggested that Time to Collect Memories also is correct since the word does have double meaning? As in Time to retrieve past memories? I love track 2 also.)

Honestly, I don't think I mind which episode you're going to discuss Sunday nite. I'm going to be behind in my 1N2D watch so I'll be on the same page with you this week. By Sun night, most people would have seen the new aired-in-Korea episode and/or the older subbed KBS-World eppie. So you can probably discuss either (or) both of them. (Though technically, we should be doing it in the 1N2D thread, hehe). I'd guess that we probably have more thoughts on the subbed eppie since we (yahoo! thank you boo) can fully understand it now. Anyhooo, whichever sounds good to me. I just babble away anyway. But seriously, if we ever move our discussion over to the 1N2D thread, you probably would be able to engage a few more posters into making it a lively talk. (The negative side is that moi would have to exhibit my best non-sarcastic self since it is after all someone else's home).

P.S.: Last time I checked, "ogling" at men is not considered a crime. Or is it a sin? Or both? Uhhh, whatever! As long as my heart is still taken (NO, it's not LSG so you can relax), it's perfectly fine.
