bedifferent, omg that's too awesome that mv! That seems so quick! From "I'll give you everything" to "You in my memories" and now this song. But I guess with him only performing on KBS shows, it just seems faster. (Am I bitter? yes... dry.gif ) I definitely see digital single/repackaged album with all the promotion going on.

LSG rocks the fitted suit. But I also like to see him in casual clothes, makes him more attainable tongue.gif But the performance wear sweatingbullets.gif if he took off the scarf/bowtie he would look wicked good most of the time (especially the Open Concert! where the top of his shirts were left open, stupid scarf blocked the view). Um but I think his 2004 fashion was still the worst haha. Let me think, blue pleather jacket, check. White pants and knee high boots, check. Suits too big and loose on him, check. Stripy suits, check. Yup, I think 2004 wins.

I prefer the first remake. Like you said there was a bit more diversity in it. I really liked the songs on it. I thought his vocals were spot on, fuller. It had both the power and emotion. The second remake, I thought his voice was a bit thinner.

By the way, I just noticed the first page has a new intro! Really nice biography Vanny and lost_kim. I enjoyed reading it. The only thing is that the previous discography was more informative with the songs and translation of songs listed. I hope you put it back up. Please? I refer to it a lot.

EDIT: OH MY GOD.... I'M A PSYCHIC TOO, eequeezee! LOOKY, guys! Here's the spanking new MV for Let's Go On A Vacation:

Perfect song for the summer! I love z-degrees. hehehe

!!!!!!! thanks for the link:D Watching that made me feel so happy! Suddenly feel like rewatching 1N2D all over again from the start. I have to admit that this is really a great marketing ploy, the song+LSG+1N2D = feel good! the fangirls are gonna love it, and the 1N2D viewers are probably going to too from the looks of it. they played the song on this week's 1N2D!! muahaha. but i'm not complaining, its GREAT to hear something more uptempo from him after so many ballads.

Yea, i noticed the new 1st page too! it really looks nice. gives the thread a very homely feel:) i've come to feel like this is home lately, and i feel really frustrated when i cant access soompi:)

I was pretty impressed by his second remake though. The songs on the second remake have simple melodies, but are at the same time rather technically demanding. Quite a number of the songs in there required him to use his upper range (maybe that's why he sounds a little thin) but he managed to pull it off without sounding too stretched or giving a very boring and technical delivery. I went to listen to the original songs and LSG really gave the songs a different spin. I think it helped that the producers arranged the songs quite well, not too much of complex layering and lots of keyboard and strings to complement his voice and bring out his lovely vibrato. Then again no album is perfect.. like you guys mentioned, i wish there was more variety in the album. I love the songs on the 1st remake too:) I kinda feel that the songs on the 1st remake the kind you will instantly like while the ones on the second one are the kind of songs that slowly grows on you after you listen to it a couple of times carefully and really appreciate everything from the arrangements to the lyrics and vocals and the choice of delivery. I dont really have a favourite album or a preferred album, i tend to like individual songs. But thats just me:P

Hello all I'm back from a SUPER weekend!!! Just want to say I had a faaaabulous time at the HB and I know this is isn't related to Seung Gi, but I'm going to say it anyways (since we like to share our thoughts around here), Minwoo is INCREDIBLE! Hee hee, paying just to see him for not even 15 minutes was money well paid. Sorry I don't have any pics to share cause stupid me didn't think to bring a charger. I figured if you've got a camera with enough memory that would do right? I literally was slapping myself. M even took his shirt off... ah well.. Definitely going back next year and I'm going to get pool seats this time and risk injury by fangirls tongue.gif

Ok back to Seung Gi. Gosh. So much has been said in the last few days. Where to begin. Eequeezee thanks so much once again for your weekly synopsis. I'm loving this group of guys more and more with each ep. I used to watch this mainly cause of Seung Gi, but these days I just enoy the comradery between the fellows even without LSG around. MC Mong is such a sweetheart, I just love him to death now. "Please send Seung Gi over to us" ha ha. LSG really owes so much of his popularity to these guys. Even when he's not in the scene they make the effort to include him in and what they say usually improves his image and makes him look good. Really looking out for their magnae aren't they? Honestly, I think Seung Gi wouldn't come off as interesting a character if these guys weren't there to help him out a bit. The spotlight they create for him is pretty big, especially Ho Dong. Have you guys ever noticed Seung Gi usually stands in the middle next to Ho Dong or right in the thick of things no matter what's going on. It's either placement by production or Seung Gi has a nack for finding a good position to make sure he's included =) Oh and today's ep with the special unseen cut was so funny! Couldn't believe he was so excited over the game, he was spazzing all over the place! So good to see his inner child like that. hee hee. Hoping they do more cuts like these with each ep. I bet there's a ton of great unseen phootage. Now That's the GOOD stuff.

Bedifferent, thanks so much for the mag pics and video link. You know what I think about his fashion lately too, but oddly enough I was actually ok with "the shirt" everyone's mentioning. The reason I dislike the scarf so much becuase I feel like it's way too old looking and out of place to be on a 21 year old, but to me the off kilter look of "the shirt" is somehow modern and daring. It's something I'd never think Seung Gi would wear, but at least it's not a throw back to the 70's. But I do have to agree with you on the short spiky do thing. When I first saw his comeback for the 3rd album I was taken aback by how different and older Seung Gi looked with short hair, not to mention he looks soooo much taller with short hair. o15029, this would be time he looked best in suits, do you agree? The difference between then and now is amazing. The short made him look sophisticated, clean cut, handsome, and about 5 years older, like the pics in the Esquire mag. With the longer hair he looks more his age and "cuter". I like both looks. My preference would be to keep his hair about the length at the end of his 3rd jib promos. Short enough to look fresh, but slight bangs to look young and fun =)

I saw the video to "Let's go on vacation" too and it was so fun to see those "best of LSG" moments. Theee definition of adorkable, no? He's so high energy when he sings this song so I can't wait for more performances. It's good to hear Seung Gi rock again. As for my feelings on the 2nd remake, in general I agree it doesn't feel as complete as the first one, but overall I still think it's a good album. The song choices in the first were excellent and as Sarangaia said, they're the kind that are catchy and likable the first time you listen to them. The 2nd album had a couple more difficult songs and those were the ones I appreciated more. I admit he does sound different these days compared to before. He use to sound very bold and rich before to me, but for some reason he doesn't give me that same feel anymore. I still think he sounds great and his range is amazing, but for probably more reasons than one his voice has changed. He sounds thinner to me too. Which is another reason why I was so thrilled to see him perform Let's go on Vacation. I need to hear him yell and belt it out again. I know it's in there Seung Gi, don't be afraid to show it. =)

(Oh and a side note here, bedifferent, are you really going to pharmacy school? If you are that's great cause I'm a pharmacist biggrin.gif )
Alright, this post has been long enough. Hope you all had a good Monday!
o51029
^^ Yeah that probably explains the thinness. It sounded like he was straining a little to reach some of the notes. I can't say that I listened to it very carefully happy.gif I shuffle all his songs so they kind of flow over me and when I "tune in" I like what I hear.

ivey79: UCSF class of 2012! M shirtless? OMG. So I guess all five of your senses were assaulted? Hehe. Good thing you didn’t have a camera or videocam. Otherwise, we’d heard the screaming and panting. Good thing that you kept that private. Love what you said in the above post. No, it’s not a long post. biggrin.gif

sarangaia, wise one, I dig what you wrote. I agree that LSG voice has matured and moved up one notch in its technique. I have always loved that he replaced the powerful vocal with the more sophisticated vibrato. I mean you really don’t want to knock out the vocal cord at age 21 – hehe. Vibrato is the way to go baby. It gives the singer so much more control and add color to the voice. Yet, I also agree with o51029 that he somewhat sounded frail. You have to hit the notes with gusto and power. Like you own them (easier said than done, right? Ha) Bravo for trying though. I can only imagine what his voice would be years from now with more practice and experience. Ah, the potential. He has been leaning toward singing in higher octaves lately. I do miss the low voice. And yes, he does have good range for such a young singer.

I did listen to most of the original versions for Remake #2. It’s a split decision for me with this album. Remake #1 has a lot more catchy tunes. I think that’s why it stood out more for me. Technically speaking, both albums reflect different vocal stages of LSG. They are good in their own ways. When viewed as a complete album, #1 edges out in terms of the sheer mix-ups of songs. For Remake #2, I like the majority of the tracks and am unimpressed with a few. (It’s only one person’s opinion; I’m sure everyone else disagrees). Either way, I love that he continues to grow as a singer. I thought his title song was nicely reworked to suit the higher pitch. It did take me some times to warm up to LSG’s version. I do appreciate the new arrangements and his own treatment of this classic song. It lacks the grittiness of Jo Kyu Man’s “manly” declaration of love. Yet, it towers over other singers primarily because of the impressive vibrato. He gave the song a grander feel – making it timeless in the process. I did not think track 5 was comparable to Park Hyo Shin. Track 4 is wonderful. Much more accessible that the original rock version. You In My Memories was good, but not unforgettable. Tracks 7 and 8 are delivered slightly different than what were performed in his concert. His radio and live performances of Only One Love are outstanding. The more understated he sings it, the better I appreciate his voice. But then, the guy is crazily good singing live. My opinions of the songs could be prejudiced by my preference for his live performances (over recorded ones, I mean).

New MV: awww, I’m slightly bumped that Hook Entertainment stole my thunder. Haha. That was supposed to be the slideshow of 1N2D that I’m working on. However, mine wouldn’t have just LSG. Like the MV. However, at the end, did feel like I overdosed on Seunggi. That was a lot of LSG in the span of 4 minutes or so. Yup, brilliant marketing by both Hook Entertainment and 1N2D in promoting this song. I hope no viewer is turned off by the message. There’s a fine line between promoting and overexposing something good. It could back-fired. BTW, am I the only one who feels slightly bittersweet watching it? It feels like it’s a montage for LSG’s presence on the show. And a prediction that he will leave it soon….

I enjoyed the mv itself. But I agree about the 1n2d might be overpromoting itself (Music Bank & this) for the casual viewer that is. Me? I'm loving it happy.gif. Hehe I also thought it was like a good bye "remembering all the the good times we had but we must part now" video but didn't want to say it because I'm in denial.
Still, I'm looking forward to your 1n2d slideshow, bedifferent.

It's official. Let's Go On Vacation is a digital single release. Let the promo begins. I wonder if he will debut on Music Bank, Mnet or YDH LL.

I think this is the jacket cover:

Hi you guys ~~~
so stressed with a bunch of crapOLA --- thank goodness for this thread!!!

Bedifferent!!! Congratulations on pharm school! And UCSF no less! Not that I'm surprised because you're sooper DOOPER! And if you're from Googleville, you'll probably be closer to home and stuff yeah? Regardless, I'm really really happy for you B-unnie! And ivey79 you're already a pharmacist how funneeee! So coinkyDINKY I love it! biggrin.gif I'm really glad you enjoy my little writeups - I enjoy writing them for you and everyone else who cares for them. Bedifferent, can't wait for you to catch up on 1N2D and comment on the episodes tongue.gif Oh and btw, summarizing is easy, but translating lines do take a little bit of time because I play a line, PAUSE, think about the best translation, TYPE, and REPEAT. THANK HEAVENS for Tivo!!! I don't know how long it took to write the post on the last episode, but it wasn't that bad. wacko.gif haha.

REGARDING 1st remake vs. 2nd remake. 1st remake definitely had variety - ballads, rocky songs, and a dance tune (though I like the Koyote version better). I don't disagree with everyone's opinions, and have nothing to add to the discussion except for one thing...and that has to do with the LYRICS. I like both albums EQUALLY, but I'm influenced by the fact that one album is a remake of songs sang by females, and the other by males, and because LSG is a guy, I believe LSG more when hearing the 2nd remake. Let me give you an example: I really like 내 안의 그대 (track 3 in remake 1), but the first line of the chorus translates to "what do I do/it seems like my heart is broken" --- To me, this is a line that girls/young women can say naturally, but as far as guys saying this, I can only believe it coming from teenage boys at most. In fact, when I heard this line for the first time, I actually chuckled and laughed because it sounded funny coming out of LSG's mouth (I was literally like, "haha AWWW he's so cute.") Hope this makes sense.

REGARDING the Let's Go On A Vacation MV. I have to say - I'm a little disappointed that the video was ALL ABOUT LSG. The MV in my humble opinion should have shown AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT OF THE OTHER GUYS. After all, the song was specifically made for and will undoubtedly be exploited on the SHOW. I know I'm being totally hypothetical here, but I honestly think that if MCM had made a song for the show, the MV would NOT have been a nonstop montage of himself. In LSG's first 3 or 4 episodes of 1N2D, the guys actually poke fun of his "no shame" attempts to promote himself/his music (when he shows the award he won, when he asks to play his song while in the mini-van if I remember correctly) and there have been other moments (just have to think about them). IN ANY CASE, I'm not crazy about the vid, but love the song. I can't wait for your vid Bedifferent.

Okay I'm off to bed it's wayyyyy late and my eyes are closing dry.gif
Hi o51029!!!

Peace and love always ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

eequeezee: I agree with what you noted in your post about the new MV. It's slightly over-the-top with its own self awareness. For some reasons, I found his "Shape of Lips" MV totally charming even though it's thematically similar. This one was just ... meh for me. Nice collection of LSG moments though, just didn't work for me 'cause of the lack of subtlety. And creativity. But it sure is totally appropriate for the summer. Satisfy the fangirls in many of us ... laugh.gif

But, the single rocks guys!!!!!! Better-than-sex good. I'm going to shamelessly promote this song on this thread, if you don't mind. It's been a while since I'm this happy about a LSG song. Hands down for me, the best rock song that he puts out so far. The guitar and drum are awesome. For a change, I think the album version probably is going to be as good as the live version. I really really hope that LSG will debut or at least perform this song on YDH LL. We need that band to do the song justice. I went back to listen to a few of his upbeat songs in the earlier two albums to compare. You can tell that his voice has grown up. The huskiness is now more controlled and even has more added depth. It's fuller . Definitely more natural and unforced. This song is going to shoot up the music chart.
sarangaia
WOO!! I'm getting high on the new song!~ Haha, am I the only one who is shamelessly gleeful that the MV is all about LSG, LSG and MORE LSG? The song makes me want to grab my swimsuit and run out to some beach, prance and dance around for a fun and sunny vacation:D Too bad I'm stuck in a rathole where the sunlight doesnt get in for my summer vacation job. Bedifferent, you are spot on with the "better than sex good"!~ Keep promoting the song:)

As much as I love the track, I absolutely adore the live version (the link that was on the thread a couple of days ago). Somehow I always get this heady sense of delirious euphoria each time I hear the fangirls shrieking the song out in high pitched unison with LSG. If you listen carefully there's this one girl who goes absolutely wild and starts screaming the song really really loudly. Its downright amusing (i mean it in a great way!) and it always makes me grin like an idiot! Like almost everyone else here, I simply adore LSG's live performances:)

Let's go on a vacation is delicious! hahaha. Have a great day guys!~

Oh my gawd. ph34r.gif EDIT. EDIT. EDIT. I knew it. I always get in trouble with my words. 'Ya all know that phrase was just a figure of speech, right? I always loose it when I'm emotional. Hahaha. I don't want everyone to loose whatever little respect you have for me at the moment. I'm NOT that kind-of-girl, people!

So you like. You like? It's just a fun song. Period. I was driving down the freeway with this song blasted really loud. And thought to myself, I gonna miss Southern California like ... a lot. As much as I like LSG and his ballads, this one really suits him. It's young, fresh, upbeat and so rock-and-roll. It's the kind of song that a 21-year old should be rolling out. It's the kind of song that I was waiting for to dance around the house with. The "White Horse" live version just puts you into the middle of his performance. You feel like you're actually in the pit watching him rock it. The video quality was surprisingly good, yeah? I love the part where he comes out into the audience. The shot of his shadowed figure, with all the smoke, lights and screaming fans, was just classic. I even thought that his costume (the white jacket and black shirt/pant) were paradoxically cool for the performance. I even forgave him for wearing the kiddie neckwear. The prior song to this was "I'll Give You All". I have the link if anyone wants to see it. So he was really proper and buttoned up. But once that was done, it was all let loose. I was like, WHOAAAA, Seunggi, I didn't know you had in in you. Hahaha. Yeah. I would have scream my head off if I was there too. (Which is the only sound that I could make since I know not a single word of Hangul. And you all are wondering how I can navigate these Korean websites, hah? I go by my 6th sense. hehehe).

Be back later if I can find anything new.
ivey79
bedifferent, kudos to you for picking a GREAT profession. (hee hee I'm biased ) Your short term memory will become EXCELLENT if it isn't already smile.gif And I just want to say I enjoyed your insight on his voice. He's definitely a much more refined singer now, with great technique and control. I guess sometimes I take it for granted just how good he really is and start nit picking on the details. When in fact if you compare him to other singers, especially anyone close to his age, he's a cut above the rest. I guess I've just come to expect so much from him because he sets such high standards. But one thing that's never changed for me regarding Seung Gi's voice, is the classic and nostalgic feel he gives. I just love how old school he can sound.

eequeezee, that is an interesting take on remake #1 vs #2. Since I don't understand Korean I would never have come up with that opinion. But at the same time comeing from someone who can't have the lyrics affect their opinion, from what I heard I actually prefer Seung Gi singing female sings. I like the higher ranges on him because he can pull it off so beautifully. I still remember the radio duet he did with Yangpa, Scar Deeper than Love. I heard Heechul's and Yangpa's duet first on Inkigayo and it was cringe worthy. Heechul coudln't hit the high notes and shouted through the rest, and this was after practice too. Seung Gi and Yangpa did it impromto and I was completely blown away with the way they sounded. He could both hit the high notes and sustain them too. I really wish I could get an audio of that performance. It was really one time that I realized there's a big difference between good singers and great singers. Those two could sing anything, they should do a duet together.

And overexposure? Yeah, that's crossed my mind once or twice. Although 1n2d is the top rated show right now, I'm a little worried that's what Seung Gi is going to be noted for. Popularity is popularity, but I'd rather not see Seung Gi as a singer be overshadowed by Seung Gi the entertainer. He's good enough to be popular without riding on 1n2d all the time. I'm worried it would take away his credibility somehow and have his singing talent underscored. It's kinda like how I see Brian of Fly to the Sky. The guy is an awesome singer, but because of his goofy image, I don't think he's given enough credit for what he can do. Just want to make sure Seung Gi gets the respect he deserves in the right way.

After reading the last few posts, I was inspired to watch the fancam of Let's go on Vacation again for the nth time and dang I still get a crazy grin watching it. I didn't know he had it in him either. Rock on baby, rock on! Can't wait for more performances.

ivey79: Thanks. Funny how everyone seems to take a liking to the "White Horse" video. I thought the other 2 fan videos of his new single performance are pretty cool also. Quite good quality for being amateur-ish. I'd love to see him duet with Younha. I adore her voice and spunk.

Hi you guys ~~~
Gotta run - but just wanted to say that if there is similar sentiment about LSG overdoing it a bit with that MV, then I am SURE that Korean netizens are going to express the same sentiment in a much harsher way... I'm not a psychic like Bedifferent, but I think that the video will have a pretty big contingent of fans feeling AYYYYYYYEEEEEE (the word the crowd shouted at the guerilla concert when the girl said that KHD was handsome).

Bedifferent - I was such a downer in my PM sorreeeeeeee!!!
and btw, ivey79 - you and B-unnie talking about LSG's fashion is one thing, but the stuff you guys say about his voice is REALLY interesting to me. THANKS!!!

Have a great rest of the week everyone. EEL BAK!

Hi, everyone. Newbie Eloise reporting.

Have been a silent reader for quite a few weeks now. This thread is so long with so many goodies, that’s why I still have some 60 more pages to go. But when I got to the pages where you girls were calling for silent readers to show up more, I felt sort of guilty, so here I am.

Thanks to all you girls for being so resourceful with updates and clips and photos and translations and particularly insights on Seung Gi’s music. Did you girls major in music or what!!! It’s so gratifying to find people who can describe things that I feel but am unable to express coherently in words! Thanks again!

From what I’ve read so far, seems like pals here like his new song, Let’s Go on a Vacation. I love this song, not only because it’s such a cute one, but because it showcases the powerful Seung gi vocals that I’m beginning to miss. It’s such a cheerful, catchy tune, with such simple lyrics that it would be a shame not to be able to sing along. So here’s my faint attempt to pay back all you girls for this wonderful forum! I’m not familiar with the Korean romanisation system, so hope it’s not too confusing.

And here is a rough translation of the lyrics: As my knowledge of Korean is really very basic, hope I didn’t get it wrong.

With knapsack on my back, (I) leave for the green hills, towards the wilderness and the valleys which are lit by golden sunlight.

At dawn, it looks like many people from the city are leaving the concrete forest behind.

Refrain 1:
Leaving for my excursion, in search of valleys where echoes can be heard and running waters can be found

Refrain 2:
Through winding roads, going deep into the hills, enjoying the refreshing wind, the beautiful sky, singing along the way

Refrain 3:
Leaving for the excursion with a joyful heart, let’s all go together

didunz, good to see you again! Hope everything is well and hard work always pays in the end so hopefully it will be well worth it to you. I will check out your blog. =)

Eloise, welcome! I use to be a silent reader too, mainly cause I never really had anything to offer the forum. But I've realized thoughts and opinions are important too and have come out to share my insights on our beloved Seung Gi. Thank you so much for your translations which is quite prescious. There's not many of us here who understand Korean so every little bit helps! Hope to see you continue to post.

Welcome eloise! Thanks for the romanization and translation. Hehe it totally fits 1n2d. I can see why they used video from that.
Welcome back dindunz!
I agree with ivey79, opinions are what keeps the forum alive, and lucky us our thread is very friendly whether we agree or disagree.

Here's some more youtube vids. I downloaded them over the long weekend and haven't had time to watch and upload them until now tongue.gif

Oh my gawd. ph34r.gif EDIT. EDIT. EDIT. I knew it. I always get in trouble with my words. 'Ya all know that phrase was just a figure of speech, right? I always loose it when I'm emotional. Hahaha. I don't want everyone to loose whatever little respect you have for me at the moment. I'm NOT that kind-of-girl, people!

hahaha! Dont worry I took it figuratively:D just found that expression very cute and fitting to use after getting high watching and listening to let's go a vacation. woo~~ sooo many videos to watch, so little time! Been staying up into the wee hours watching LSG cuts on youtube lately, and the eyes are protesting:P

Does anyone have the korean lyrics to Let's go on a vacation? Post it will you? I like having the lyrics with me when I listen to music, but I'm too lazy to type it out myself.. Argh.. the perils of laziness.

Just something to share with you guys. I went to the karaoke last weekend and started digging around in the limited korean songs menu after I got sick of singing chinese and english songs. To my surprise, I found You inside my memories! And I stupidly thought it would be the LSG remake version. It turned out to be this really really really old and dated version, and its MUCH MUCH slower than LSG's remake. I couldnt help but laugh madly, it really sounded extremely awkward since I'm so used the the faster version. Give me LSG anyday!~

Alright, really gotta run. Work's piling up! Be happy!~
ivey79
wow, I think this is my 3rd post today. Anyways, thanks 0511029 for all those vid links. Can't tell you how grateful I am for all your hard work keeping the Seung Gi vids up to date. I know it must take so much time to upload. Much appreciated. I haven't watched all of them yet, but I had to listen to LSH and LSG's "Can't help falling in love" before i headed off to bed. I have to admit I couldn't finish the whole vid, I was laughing too hard. tongue.gif Vocally, they sounded just fine, but I just coudln't get past Seung Gi's "like the liver flows to the sea". I'm use to Asians singing with strong accents, but for some reason the way he sang it just put me in stitches. Oh Seung Gi, and I thought you had pretty good English too. hee hee. The other part that amused me was his outfit. Wrong cut, size, and length. His jacket and pants were too big! He looked like a kid in his father's clothes. LOL. Ah... what a good way to end the nite, with a smile on my face. See you all later!
yumei86
I really starting to like Lee seung gi when i watch 2 days 1 night.ANd i beginning to search his song and download some of them..I really love his songs and his voice are so nice to hear...I've begining to listen to "i give it all" and memories of you over and over again in my mp3.I guess his songs are pretty addictive^hehe^

Are you using photobucket? They limit the size that's uploaded, so if you upload and change the setting to 1 MB, it should come out bigger.

Yay, new posters. Welcome. Come on and chime in. Blab away, yah?

o51029: w00t.gif Thank you so much for the goodies. **muah**. You're great. Wow, so many LSG stuffs. I need to do a YT-marathon watch for all that are posted (including 1N2D). I did chuckle at your comment about LSG earnestly eating those fried chickens in the CF. I thought that you don't have to actually eat the products in CF. Oh well, he needs the protein anyway. hehe. Just between us fangirls (yup, I admit it. I'm officially a LSG-fangirl; avatar, siggy and all), the smile still keelss.. Watching the CF brings me back to the comment that eequeezee made a while back about how he would fit the leading man image in those rom-com dramas. I think she's right, I can see the potential and charm.

sarangaia: you found the original version of You In My Memories! There's little info on that. Interesting. So, are you good at karaoking? biggrin.gif

dindunz: Welcome back. We miss ya. Thanks for the pixs. Will check out your blog. Seriously, blogging is a lot of work. It's so much easier to blab away in a forum. Plus, you already have a captive audience for your blah blah blah. hahaha.

ivey79: Yeah. That's funny. His clothes and voice are endearingly nerdy. Exactly what I was thinking when I watched that a few months back. But then, you have not heard my attempt at speaking Hangul. Yikes!

eloise: Welcome to the thread. Thank you so much for the translation and lyrics. I do love this new song. For the same reasons as you've mentioned. It's nice to hear again the voice that we were so fond of. Sounds like you're a long-time fan, what do you think of his new MV? BTW, I give mad credit to Hook Entertainment and LSG for producing this single. I'm impressed with the way they've managed his career. The company maybe small but they are able to make very good decisions. This single is no different. It gives LSG older fans something to be happy about while able to garner new fans. I'm sure a few of the new LSG fans are surprised that he sings anything other than ballads. All this is done while mutually benefiting the 1N2D production. Brilliant, I'd say.
sarangaia
Wow! Whoever put together those pictures is really great! I can imagine using those as a desktop calendar... that would serve as a great perk me up! haha, the crazy fangirl in me is getting crazy ideas again.

Just watched the chicken CF link and the Cant help falling in love video. Is it me or was oil oozing out and dripping from the chicken at one point of time? *shudders at the thought of all that oil* I remember seeing somewhere on youtube about where they interviewed celebs (including LSG) about their health and eating habits, and he was saying how he eats a lot of junk due to the hectic schedule. Hope he takes good care of his health. That much oil is not going to be too great ifor his health in the long run.

LOL. I still havent gotten used to the korean accent when singing english. I'm asian myself, but here we use english pretty much for everything it feels like my mother tongue instead of a second language. But I think LSG's english is pretty good for an average korean. According to the korean kids i'm tutoring now, they dont really use english outside the classroom, and they are only taught basic stuff like grammar, synthesis and of course some vocab.

I'm not sure if you guys already know this, but www.aheeyah.com is a great website for lyrics and to learn very very basic korean. Its been my best companion ever since i started liking korean pop:)

bedifferent haha, I love karaoke, go pretty often too. I think its definitely one of the most ingenious inventions by the Japanese. But my karaoke-ing skills are definitely not anywhere near our dear boy's standards. I noted the singer name after i sang the song in the karaoke and did a quick yahoo!korea check on it. I'm not 100% sure if its the original version, but it should be, judging from its release date. 추억속의 그대 (You inside my memories) was released in 1988 by 황치훈 (Hwang Chi Hoon) in his first self titled album as the title track. Lyrics and melody by 윤상. 1988!! The song is as old me! And one year younger than our boy:P These little discoveries always make me enjoy LSG’s songs even more:)

o51029 thanks thanks thanks so much! nowadays the first thing i do when i wake up and log online is to check your channel for new stuff. <3

Thanks for the welcome girls. And thanks for the links & pics, bedifferent, 051029 & dindunz

bedifferent: No, I haven’t been a long time Seung Gi fan. I used to be a K-drama/movie addict, but the past year or so, things have been quite disappointing on that front. By sheer chance I bumped into X-man, and found Seung Gi. He was so sooooo endearing, so I searched him out. The rest is history.

As for the MV …. I love it. Must have watched it 10 times by now, but it still makes me smile. Brings back such fond memories of the show. Although it features almost only Seung Gi, when I see him packing his stuff, I thought of the fireworks, and Mong and Soo Geun dancing on the deck; when I see him on the upper bunk, I thought of the faceless Mong dancing in Soo Geun’s apartment; when I see him belligerent over his apology, I thought of how Kim C beat our boy over the dry leaf competition; when I see him & Soo Geun in the waters, I thought of crazy Ji Won volunteering to brave the waters and dragging poor Kim C into it; when I see him holding the camera, I thought of KHD and his famous Seung Gi ahhhhh; when I see him on stage at the campus, I thought about Mong and his insecurity and his tears after he hit the No 1 spot and the comradeship among these men (btw, I love Mong…. He is so generous and loving and genuine and crazy!)……… And those last footages…. Doesn’t it seem like the song was written for the last episode? I know the song is a remake, but what a great choice of song!!

So I really didn’t feel an over dosage of our boy. (sorry, sweatingbullets.gif sweatingbullets.gif to eequeezee & ivey79 as well) But I’m biased. I love an over dosage of anything Seung Gi! Kekeke! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

glitzglam: I looked up naver.com some time ago on what 까나리 is because I was wondering what it is that can make the guys squirm the way they did. This is what I found.

까나리 is actually a sand eel (looks quite similar to an anchovy) that abounds on the coastline of Seoul. They are processed in a few ways, either dried, or fermented or made into a marinade or a sauce. They are used for making kimchi or serve as a flavoring condiment. It’s supposed to add really good flavor to food. But if the fermentation process is not fully completed, they will emit a revolting smell, which is described as a “smelly fish or bloody” smell. YUCKS!!! No wonder the guys all squirmed!

w00t.gif Crowded thread. Luv it. Luv it. All it takes is a fantastical-super-duper song to bring in visitors (<--- see, I’m still plugging the song). Hope everyone stay and chat for awhile. Nice to hear from you again, glitzyglam and [TOP]…

eloise, I have to respond to you first cuz what you wrote is just too precious. First off, from one drama buff to another, it’s so cool that you defect to this side of soompi. Me did too. I can feel that it’s going to be fun discussing Iljimae with you when it comes out. Anywayz, I totally feel what you just so eloquently put down in words about the MV. (BTW, it’s ok to love the MV. Everyone else does. I’m the weird one in this thread, remember?) Seriously, I was almost teary-eyed at the end of the video. I know that this is prematured, thinking that LSG would actually leave 1N2D, but this video is just so appropriately timed that I can’t help but feel a slight tinge of sadness watching it. It did bring back lots of good memories: of this group of misfits, not just Seung Gi. I don’t think any viewer has remained untouched by their display of brotherhood. Honestly, it struck me as odd and in a way, special, that these grown men bonded so well given that they all come from different backgrounds and of different ages. It’s not common to find and maintain that chemistry. Somehow, the six men managed to make that special bond grows with each week. If you think about it, the premise of the show is very simple – it’s a road trip. Yet, I would jump at the chance to go camping with these guys. I was over at the 1N2D thread reading away at the posts and was surprised at how actively they were discussing LSG’s replacement. In a weird way, I was happy to hear that. I have read a lot of comments stating how LSG is an integral part of the show and that fans are uncertain how the show would be when he leaves. That’s great to hear, but LSG IS NOT 1N2D. He’s a part of it; just like Eun Ji Won (whom I totally adore for his excellent comedic skills), MC Mong (I heart him) , KimC, LSG, Kang Ho Dong (he’s the best)… and even Sang Geun. The show would miss Seung Gi presence, but it will be fine. Because it is a wonderful show and the viewers know that. I really really really hope that we will all continue to watch 1N2D even if LSG is no longer part of the cast. So guys, support the show. Watch it, with and without LSG, yah? I know I plan to. (OK OK, I'll get off my soapbox now, keke)

glitzyglam: Uhhh, I think I’ll pass on the gga na ri.

sarangaia: you’re awesome, google-girl. Yours is the first info I ever get from that song. Thank you. On a side note: the 80’s was awesome (kpop and non-kpop). It’s one of the best music decade, IMO. The quality of music, the creativity, the sheer volume of great works are mind-blowing!!!! It’s great that we’re at almost the same age. Cool. And yes, isn’t o51029 the best? She keeps this thread going. She anchors this place. I can’t even imagine how much work goes into YT-uploading. So yeah, hats off to her! wub.gif

OH yeah... I saw all the vids. He was HOT. The rehearsal for the dancing was pretty cute too. I thought he did a waayyy better job than Kim Ok Bin. Seung Gi may think he's a very good dancer, but he dances with heart and feeling when he does. She was a bit.. lifeless? Thanks so much.

Hi you guys~~~
To new LSG threaders - AHNYUNG tongue.gif

Funny story about Let's Go On A Vacation. My mom was SO HAPPY to hear the song because she loves loves loves Cho Yong Pil (apparently this guy is theee living legend in Korea), AND she loved loved loved LSG's voice. So today she picks me up from school and there are three other girls (they're not into K-pop AT ALL) who I carpool with. I blare the song out loud and the other girls were all like "UH...." HAHA. Maybe you guys needed to be there blush.gif They just need to hear it a few more times... wink.gif I have hope for them since they liked 만약에 (I listen to this song every night and dream about LSG - I know I'm not the only one that does this HAHA. Anyone want to share what song is their special LSG song???) vicx.gif w00t.gif crazy.gif ANYHOO ---->>>

eloise (welcome!) - really nice thoughts about the MV. If you look at it like that, then the video is AWESOME! I wish we could have seen those scenes you wonderfully recalled for us. B-unnie - can the video that you're making with 1N2D clips make me feel the way eloise feels when she watches the MV? No pressure OKAY??? Teehee!

GLITZYGLAM - G-unnie!!! BOGOSHIPUSSUH!!!

KKA-NA-RI - I always thought it was thick, concentrated fish sauce. I like a tiny tiny bit (like in Vietnamese sandwiches or fried rice) but there's no way I can drink a whole cup like MCM!!!

QUESTION - Did someone ever find out why LSG isn't on other networks' music programs? or variety programs for that matter? Even MBC - since he's doing a drama for them? MCM is on Star King. EJW is on Come To Play. What's going on??? The SBS morning show was the first one I saw LSG in... Thanks for that clip btw o51029 - you are the bestest! How can I download a HQ version of that show? non-clubbox of course. Any suggestions tiki_sg???

That's all I got for now. Hi ivey79! Hi Dindunz! Hi Sarangaia!

Peace and love*** EE-IL!!! (clang clang clang!) tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

I agree with you. The premise of the show is great and Seung Gi is an important member of this family, but if Seung Gi leaves it's kinda like having a brother go off to college or something. They will miss him, but there's still 5 other brothers to keep the show going. I'd be terribly terribly sad, but I think everyone's come to love each of them and it's not just about one person in the show. Their all a piece of the pie. I would still go on watching this show and I'd actually be curious to see who they replace him with IF it ever happens (I sincerely hope not!) It'd be hard to find someone in his age bracket that meshes so well with the guys.

I'm begining to love this thread more and more. With all these new peeps in here it's been a lot of fun to read and converse. It feels so alive in here and the energy is great. I'm happy to have found a place where I can shamelessly be a fangirl laugh.gif Thanks for all the info, insight and updates everyone!!

Wow it got so busy today yay!
Aww, you're making me blush with all your comments blush.gif I love y'all too for sharing you're opinions of LSG so freely, that really keeps the thread going.

Hehe, fangirl away (did we scare the fanboy(s) away? sweatingbullets.gif )
I think after No Hong Chul and Kim Jong Min left the show there were similar feelings but 1n2d is still going strong. I hope that when someone else joins the cast when LSG leaves (No one can replace huh-dang seunggi!), the show will continue to go strong.

Dindunz, finally got to see the picture. So cute. Hehe he looks good in all colors.

Eloise, I totally have to agree with your take on the MV. When I see the little scenes, I remember the before and after of the scene and the interactions with the rest of the cast.

(OK OK, I'll get off my soapbox now, keke)

glitzyglam: Uhhh, I think I’ll pass on the gga na ri.

wow, i didn't even know he was leaving sad.gif i'm really sad, but you're right.. he isn't the show.. he's just a part of it that i love...
i guess i'll feel like how i did when kim jongmin left the show.. they made his departure really depressing especially because he wanted to stay and hang out so much...
when is he planning on leaving the show? TT.TT

i was really hoping that contract with the PD was real!!! LOL i really wanted to see him stay on the show until 2010 or whenever... hahahaa

(clang clang clang!) tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

hahaha meee tooooo <3

and yeah my mom loves that song too!! but she doesn't like lee seung ki T.T that drama 7gong joo totally ruined his image for my mom.. lol i try to tell her it's only a drama but she doesn't listen... but it's okay.. my dad still likes him!! hahahaa

and yeah, it's so odd that i never see lsk on other stations.. has he ever done happy shares company? because i think he'd be SO cute on that show!

oh and someone mentioned that song The Person of My Memories was from hella days ago.. and I LOOOOVE that song! i didn't know it was that old either! that is seriously my new NRB song!! hahahaa

and does anyone know about any upcoming concerts that LSK might be holding?!??!!

Woo!~ Thanks Bedifferent!! I must really really look insane these days, sitting in front of my macbook with my earphones plugged in and grinning crazily while staring unblinkingly at the screen. Haha, a psych major who's crazy herself! Have i reiterated how much i love his live performances for Vacation? Always hop around like an overexcited bunny when i listen to it. Its a great song to start the day, put a smile on my face! I love how the resonance of his voice can be sooo clearly heard, and the subtle techniques that he employs when singing live. The timbre of his looong held notes with just a hint of vibrato towards the end is just simply soooo my cup of tea. Yes, I'm a fangirl and proud of it! Haha, its just gotten too tiring to hold all my enthusiasm for LSG in all the time, and what better place is there but here to spill it all out? Haha, hope you guys dont mind my enthusiasm biggrin.gif Does anyone play the piano here? Maybe we can work on scoring his songs. I was fooling around on the keyboard for some of his songs, but never really got down to scoring his full songs. Already tinkering out the notes for Vacation, hope to score it real soon, collaborations anyone? (-----> you can see i really really really love the song!)

Hello eloise! Haha we share something in common! I discovered LSG through XMan too! Stumbled on the episode where he sang My Love and i was intruiged by his vocals. At the point of time Seven Princesses was airing here and i wasnt exactly too fond of his mama boy character, but luckily the XMan video changed it all. I googled him (yes, google's my best friend for such stuff) popped by wiki to learn more about him and the rest is history:) And i totally agree with your take on the MV. Its almost like looking through an album of graduation photos, how life was like (on 1N2D) at each stage. A warm reminiscence that makes one's eyes blur with fondness. I think if LSG leaves the show, I would have to stop watching for a while, not because I'm baised and look out only for LSG, but because it'd be really sad to be reminded of their camaraderie and the laughter of the past episodes with any missing member.

Aww, you're making me blush with all your comments blush.gif I love y'all too for sharing you're opinions of LSG so freely, that really keeps the thread going.

Hehe, fangirl away (did we scare the fanboy(s) away? sweatingbullets.gif )

Hey o51029! I didnt know there were LSG fanboy(s)! I just cant imagine big guys fanboy-ing away about LSG.. the mental image is hilarious:) But i strongly believe there are male LSG fans, such a wholesome boy like LSG should attract lots of wholesome fans!~

Hey there!:) yea, the song is from eons ago, but ithe original doesnt sound too bad after listening to it a few times. but the two versions evoke really distinct emotions for me for some odd reason. Haha, my sister is like your mom! She doesnt like seung gi because of the drama, but she's slowly warming up to him after listening to his unfinished story, the Hodong wakeup version. LOL.

oh my, that was a long post. Hello to all of you!!

^Honey, I play the piano, but not proficient enough to score the whole piece. How long have you been at it? Have been looking a while now to get the "I'll Give You All" sheet. Do you by any chance have it?

I agree with your take on his voice. If you go back and listen to LSG during the debuting year, you can tell that the power in his voice is still in its infancy. The rawness and huskiness are no doubt remarkable. But at times, he did sound too loud (and too hoarse) for me. The timbre is not as pronounced. Now, you can tell that the voice is more layered and complex. Part of the change, I believe, is physiological (he's no longer a teenager). Part could be from vocal training. I like that he introduces character into his voice; yet at the same time, retains the core power. It's been a long time since I've heard Seunggi exercises this part of his vocal cord. He's been cruising on singing in high pitches with the ballads. This time around, with Remake #2, the title song actually introduces us to his lovely vibrato. "Vacation" clearly illustrates how far he has improved in control and execution. The notes are exactly where they need to be. Pitch-wise, he makes it looked effortless. I agree that his song choices are interesting. Lots of old classics, eh? ivey79, he is an old soul in a 21-year-old body!

Hehe. I'm glad you like the perfs. I got a kick out of watching the perf on the second link. The crazed-fan one. Interestingly enough, not particularly from the song. It has been said that a good photograph can speak a thousand words (well, something like that...), this clip does exactly that for me. I remember watching the YDH LL interview where LSG was asked if he realizes the extent of his popularity. At that time, my take on his popularity has been solely from watching YT-clipped audience reaction. Yes, it seems like they do love him. But girl, this is in-your-face-crazy-fan-adoration. hahaha. And you know what, no ajumma was present. hehehe. Just young adults screaming their heads off. Yay, Seunggi, you finally found a song that connects with those in your age demographics! At around the 1:20 mark, there was a classic shot of him singing away and in the background were photographers snapping away. I thought to myself: Wow, so this is what being young, talented and popular is like. Somewhere in the middle of watching the clip, it dawned on me that LSG has entered the next stage of stardom. Something akin to a breakthrough in his career. If I did not know better, I would have never guessed that this guy on stage is the same as the huh-dang LSG. More power to him. Lastly, I'm quite impressed at how comfortable he is on stage now. His showmanship has improved a lot. Like everyone else here, I can't wait for his televised debut singing "Vacation".

Whew, that's enough fan-girling for this post. See ya all later.

I love your analysis, did I ever mention how jealous I am of people that have the ability to protray exactly what they feel/think into words. I've always been one that would rather study for a test than have to write an essay. this is probably pretty evident in my poor grammar and speech. Ah well, probably why I chose to study science. =) But back to your words, you are sooo correct when yo say he's finally found something that connects with his peers. I've always thought to myself he's way too young to be looking so mature. Your only young once and I didnt' want Seung gi to miss out on the chance to be that in his career. With all the nit-picking I've done lately I really need to focus back on the positives and I must agree these latest performances of his are crazy! I've never seen an audience of his be so pumped! The energy is infectious even through our little computer screens. Seung Gi has really hit a new stage in his growth as a stage performer. He sounds and looks completely comfortable and confident with himself now and yet at the same time he hasn't lost any of that naiveity/humbless of his. He still gives me that "aw shucks" feel, but when he's performing it's more like "bring it on, I know I can do this!" now. Love it. And I think my favorite part of how he's developed, is the way he can sing so effortlessly. I never feel strained watching him sing. It's as if he just opens his mouth and the notes come out. And amazingly, I've NEVER heard him out of breath, even when running or dancing. Seung Gi is such an interesting talent. His gentle, but bold voice; his young ,yet old demenor; he's intelligent, yet so adorably 'huh dang'. This guy never fails to intrigue me. I'm just excited to see what else he's going to show us next. The more I think about the more I'm anticipating his drama. Saw a bit of Junki's and I'm not impressed yet, so there's definitely room for our boy to shine.

Ok, it's only a lunch break so I'd better get back to work. Just couldn't resist posting. See ya all later.

Ok sorry, one more thing to add. I just watched the last performance posted above of "let's go on vacation". And OMG! Is that really Seung Gi? Dang, that was truly awesome. When he swung around and hi'fived all those fangirls I was so suprised! So natural and so high energy! The best I've seen yet. And no neck wear!! Jeans!! I think I'm spazzing.... hee hee.

Bedifferent Been tinkling the ivories for 5 or 6 years now.. Actually I tend to play by ear, just play whatever I hear in my mind when i sit in front of the piano. Not very good at scoring, simply dont have the patience to do it. I dont have the sheets for I'll give you all, but I've tried playing it on a whim and the chords are pretty simple. Quite busy with work and lessons now, will try to find time to try writing it out, but i really cant promise much at this point in time. I've tried scoring his White Lie though. Spent a couple of hours writing out half the song only to find the sheets on google wacko.gif But the version of the score i found isnt really the best of arrangements, so I've ended up playing an improvised version of it by ear. I can send you the sheets i found if you are keen on it.

I agree that his performances have improved tremdously. Went back to listen to his first concert, and frankly, even though he sang pretty well, he wasnt really perfectly in control of his voice, and wavered quite a bit here and there. Of course, its unfair to compare his current performances with those back then, but in retrospect, you can really see that he was quite awkward onstage a few years back as compared to now. I'm not sure about you guys, but I've always had this nagging feeling when I watch his performances from a few years back that he's too focused on trying to nail his songs down perfectly right down to the last note which makes him seem a little tense (too mindful of the audiences reaction maybe?) He seems much happier and more relaxed these days, confident of himself, and this really shows in the connection he makes with the audience. Its almost like the stage has become his playground, where he's less inhibited and more playful, where his music is not just a showcase of beautiful vocals and technique but also a huge bonding session. Srceaming fangirls aside, i think thats really what gives him that youthful exuberance in the performances of late. Experience does wonders, doesnt it? So does the hard work that our boy puts in.

Goodness, really tired out. Its almost 3am! gotta catch a wink of sleep. see you guys here again later!

Oh bedifferent, THANK YOU. I LOVE the jeans, vests and necklace. I will be able to work with a smile on my face the rest of the afternoon. This is the look I was hoping for when I heard he had a comeback. It seems to go much better with his 1n2d persona now. Young, fresh, hip. The clothes he has been wearing for the 2nd remake seemed to take him back a step. I really didnt' get why they wanted to make him feel so... stuffy? Seemed to contrast with his image from 1n2d that made him popular as fun youngster. I know it's all about the ballads, but this jeans and jacket look can still be romantic yet comtemporary. I hope he keeps this up for the new single. It's so much easier to rock in jeans anyways right? And I've always thought nobody makes vests look as good as he does =).
Sarangaia, I agree with you. The earlier stage performaces were a bit awkward terms of movement. He sounded awesome, but he never felt completely relaxed like he does now. Do you guys think it has anything to do with 1n2d? Or just experience? I think being on this show and the popularity he's gotten has helped his ego and self-awareness tons. Confidence is sexy, no? Hmm...Seung Gi? Sexy? working on it biggrin.gif
bedifferent
ivey79: anything to put a smile on your face. Hehehe. I like the outfit; jacket and accessories are slightly iffy for me. I’m still waiting for the leather jacket. ^-^ I actually love the classic dark suit and the preppy European menswear on him. It suits him well. So you saw Iljimae. Hmm. Are you going to check out Eric’s drama (The Most Powerful Chil woo)? I think that drama scored the actress that I thought would be perfect playing opposite of Seung Gi in Iljimae: Go Hye Sun. She’s drop dead gorgeous and so talented. She even has acting background in sageuks. LSG and Go Hye Sun have worked together before and I definitely saw plenty of chemistry/sparks. They just look so good together. I’m a Go Hye Sun-Lee Seung Gi shipper. If things do not work out between LSG and eequeezee, I definitely am cheering for Hye Sun. LOL.

sarangaia, since I’m busy lately, I’ve lost touch at the keyboards. I used to play religiously a few years ago, but now it’s more of a hobby than anything else. I did try out the chords of some songs, improvising in a few places. Just thought that someone may have the real deal. Thank you for the offer though.

Regarding LSG stage performance: experience helps. Talent helps. Establishing a respected stage identity helps. Being in a wildly popular TV show helps. Having the foresight and instinct to choose songs that nicely complement your vocal ability is not bad either. I feel like he’s having a blast living life right now. Good for him. Perhaps that also translates to confidence in his performance. Though I think that the right song, like this one, allows him to shine. Similar to what his concerts allow him to do. Many have mentioned that LSG is able deliver the emotions of the songs well. Lately, I think that he’s finally also able to channel the dynamics of the songs into his performance. I guess being on 1N2D helps him be more at ease on stage. I sense that he is more comfortable being a celebrity. I remember how reserved and shy LSG was on the first 1N2D appearance. The way he reacted when he saw his van all decked out. Ha. These days, I notice that, not only can he take the heat, he even throws some back. The naïve person in me believes that his friendship with the cast shows how well he connects with others. It’s no difference with the audience. LSG is naturally charming. Now, he seems more conscious of the charm and has started to utilize it in a positive way

Seriously, I still can’t get over how gracefully he aged. His maturity is quite uncommon for someone so young. Yet, I do wish that he faults once in a while. So I can see that he’s human and real… hehe.

Have a nice weekend, everyone.
o51029
^ Totally agree with all of the above posts regarding his performance level-up. I remember when he first sang hanbuhmaldo and I thought he looked awkward in his movements, either staying behind the mic stand far from the audience or inching up to the edge of the stage even though it was a faster paced song. I think after his first concert, he let loose a little and was more relaxed. But after being on 1n2d, he really started to engage the audience, whereas before he seemed a little closed off, more internal (probably wrong word to describe it, introspective?). It's nice for the ballads, but the faster songs needed some more oomph to them. Now, he's starting to work the stage and walking around, moving to the beat.
