You are right, this was a great performance. I liked it for several reasons. For one thing, really really happy with the outfit. This is my favorite look for him, tailored pants, dress shirt with vests. Love the black on black with a touch of funk on the vests. I know Seung Gi is tall being 6' feet and all, but I think he has incredibly long legs even compared to others his height. There are some shots of him on stage where I feel like they just go on forever! Lucky boy. Guess thats why he looks so good in suits. Normally I'm not a big fan of this song. I find it too repetitive and to a point a little annoying after 2 minute or so, but I feel this performance was somehow different from all the others he's done of this song. He's more fun, relaxed, working the stage, and he was obviously LOVING the attention. Funny, but I think Seung Gi's become a cam rainbow! LOL. Bedifferent, I agree with you when you say he's living the life right. Cute, young, and popular. Not a bad place to be. He really deserves it though. He's worked so hard for the last 4 years to get to this point. I've discussed this with my sister before, but Seung Gi is a rare boy. It's hard growing up in the entertainment world, but he's managed to do it so well both on the physically, mentally, and muscially. He was lucky to find such a good company to work with him. I appreciate the fact they've never tried to over package him or push him too hard in one direction or the other for commercial value. They've allowed him to grow at his own pace and have given him oppurtunities to explore his own natural talents. There's not a lot of companies that would allow their artists to grow in this way, to dictate their career path so natually and allow them to explore their talents fully. Seung Gi really is an incredibly well adjusted boy.

They can't go to Seoul/KBS because of the shoot, so they're going to go back to Chungju University and set up a video feed into KBS from a computer lab. As the staff try to get connection:
KHD - On the chance that [Circus] does become #1, what are we going to do?
MCM - It's not don't apply expectations hyungnim.
KHD - ...we still have to prepare though.
LSGeun - you're right it's better to prepare.
MCM - Please don't say that this (the idea that his song will be #1) doesn't make sense right now.

All of a sudden, the PD says, "How funny would this be if this was all a hidden camera joke?" which gets everyone to wonder if in fact this whole thing was a setup.
MCM - if this is really hidden camera I'm gonna die!
KimC and LSG really start to question if this whole thing is fake (HA!) and MCM's face before they go to the KBS station is priceless!

When MCM's performance (obviously taped - I always thought Music Bank was live!) comes on and MCM starts rapping:

When MCM starts clapping and says "Mongiya!" he says, "This is how my mom cheers..." (HAHA!) He then asks the guys to chant "hahahahahaha" together and they do (too cute!)

Then KHD asks EJW:

EJW - I never had one.
KHD - Really? You had a popular hit though...
EJW - I...I couldn't make it happen hyung...
KHD - That song felt like it was formidable, did it go to number 2?

MCM says that it's fact that the ratings went up starting with the trip to Gageodo (when MCM came on) and then LSG says that the show started winning when the guys went to Pyeongchang (when LSG came on). Then MCM mentions something about how he bravely drank kkanari, then LSG mentions something about how he dove into freezing water in Busan... (I didn't like LSG debating about this with MCM...)
KimC - Mongy-ah, I think you're going to shoot the entire show here on your own...

EJW - No but really, with Mong coming on, he saved the show (sarcastically giving him the thumbs up, implying "hey you're GREAT!")

Thought this was cute. Gosh, it must have been serious. It actually seems sudden, for me anyways, because I don't live in Korea to experience all those little concerts that he's in (and aren't on his official schedule either). What I know is only from some fanvideos and the entertainment news that are uploaded by fans. I still remember the fanmeeting at end of April (Seoul Milk) and the show that interviewed LSG's manager. The fans seemed tame back then, screaming yes, but not rushing or overcrowding him.

Oh I love this week's 1N2D! Lots of funny moments and suspense. Our poor boy was so nervous when he had to bungee jump, he was the only one who didnt fall asleep in the backseat when driving to the bungee jumping place because he was so nervous! He went back and forth so many times, but just couldnt muster up the courage to jump in the end. Though i would really have loved to see him jump, i can understand why he didnt. I remember getting all freaked out at camp when i had to do the flying fox, and this is MUCH MUCH MUCH more taller than that!!! And it was hiliarious when the crew filmed LSG muttering to himself up at the top out of nervousness and anxiety and posted the little caption "He's talking to himself again..." Its in these little instances when you can really see the genuine feelings of people showing through. Lucky for LSG and Jiwon, Kim C saved the day! the opening part where LSG was talking about how the old guy at the carpark suddenly smiled and screamed "SEUNG GI YA!~" at him was so cute and funny too! ahh~~ having so much fun watching 1N2D!

ahhh.. i cant wait for next week's ep. It looks really fun from the little bits they showed at the end, with all of them sleeping everywhere and anywhere across the room, and the little snippets of our boy jumping up and down in excitment in the games segment is a sure sign of something funny to come. Love the energy and chemistry between the whole cast! Bedifferent, i think you will be happy to watch the end of this week's ep, they played Let's go on a Vacation again:) totally love the song.

nonikevie, hello! Nice to know someone else trying to learn korean too! I've been taking around 20 lessons or so now, so i have a basic understanding of what's happening and how to speak. There are a couple of great websites out there that really helps a lot in grasping the basic structure, synthesis and syntax of korean. I realised that looking at the korean lyrics of songs (as opposed to the romanised ones), watching variety shows and writing a diary really helps in terms of picking up vocabulary and speaking. Especially watching the variety show without subs, since so much is happening at the same time, it really forces you to pay attention to what they say. Currently trying to read the comic book version of greek mythology in korean (yea, its as weird as it sounds, but those were the only books i could find, haha). Hope everything goes well for your learning korean! Fighting!~

Hi ALL!
Reading about the latest episode has got me itching to see it SOO BAD!!! I have two KBS channels - the more current one airs 1N2D a week behind what everyone sees (so weird!) and the other one airs the subbed 1N2D about a month behind I think. They cut out at least 5 minutes out of every episode, and I don't know if it's that very reason or what, but it's sorta annoying.

Anyway, B-unnie - really enjoyed your video. You really captured the sweetness of the show simply on account of the images of the guys together...it just makes me wish more that LSG had used clips of the guys in his MV. Even thinking about the last shot in LSG's MV, when he does the jjan-jjan-jjan bow, they only frame HIM doing it as opposed to the whole gang --- and it irks me a little bit...

BTW, how can I download the Mnet Donors Camp thingy? Is it clubbox ??? And what is this show about? What was the deal with the girl? Would love to know...

I'm just being overly concerned and cautious about the netizens of Korea who can be EXTREMELY BRUTAL. Seriously, I don't get people who spread hate with the spare time they have. Like there's a whole website created by some guy who I think hates the fact that Infinity Challenge is slipping in ratings and such, so he or she blogs about how 1N2D is awful, etc. It's really pretty crazy. I can see how netizens would see LSG arguing about how he's the reason for the show's success as arrogance, and attack him for that... Hi eequeezee! I totally agree with you on the netizens issue. Its just so easy to flame, rant and bully online because there's no direct responsibility to take and no fear of any immediate action taken against you. At the most, you can just take the whole thing off if it blows out of proportion. I've seen people around me become targets of this, and it is really traumatising, so I can see why you are concerned. It always bothers me when i see news of how celebs are harrassed by the netizens. It seems so insane, if you dont like the celeb then find someone else to like.. Why go bother them with all that hate online when they are probably already trying their best? Well, thats also why I love this forum. Everyone is calm and friendly here, and differences in opinions are accepted with a smile. well, as for the comments about LSG caring too much about promoting his music on the show and stuff, isnt that the truth? he's a singer after all, naturally he'd be concerned with promoting his songs.. but anyway, the producers are also the ones who choose to play his songs on the show. i mean, its all part of the fun isnt it? 1N2D wouldnt be the same without all that excessive use of the cast member's songs to play up the whole fun and humourous mood. I dont see why the netizens should get so uptight about the whole thing since the songs of the other members are also promoted. in my opinion, its fair play. well, they are entitled to their own thoughts, i just hope that things will continue to be at least relatively peaceful.

eequeezee, I’m so glad that you like the slideshow. The first time I saw this set of photos, I took an instant liking to it. The photos are absolutely wonderful in its simplicity. This was one of my favorite 1N2D episodes. If I’m not mistaken, it’s the one in which LSG injured his finger. Frame after frame, you can feel the chemistry among these men. When all six are in the same shot, it never fails to bring a smile to my face. There are actually more photos of this shoot, I just can’t retrieve and repost them. Overall, these photos are no less fantastic than those in the official “Vacation” MV. Nice in its subtlety, if not even more.

There are a few slides that I really responded to. I love the third slide- one of Kim C. He’s one of the silent overlooked team members. Yet, I sense that he’s truly is one of those been-there-done-it-nothing-faze-me-out kinda guy. I think he did wowed us when he chowed down that yummy kimbap or did the bungee jump. So when I saw all these photos of him on stage as a musician, he just totally won me over with his coolness. Haha. Other ones that I found endearing are the close-ups of KHD/LSG, the intro part where they’re deciding who will spin the wheel, the one with MCM and LSG high-five-ing and the clothesline shot. Of course, that shot of LSG at the beach bracing the wind is awesome. I’ll take that look over all the emo ones in Music Bank and Mnet perfs anyday.

Sarangaia - Hi. Agree with what you said about netizens. When LSG came on the show, he was really supposed to come on for just that one trip, and using the show to promote his song (which I can't remember right now). Anyway, I guess people were all worked up about how he wasn't even trying to be sly or savvy about promoting his song on the show and what not. There's no question that the show is a marketing tool for guys like LSG, EJW, and MCM (his album has been the OST the past several weeks before Let's Go On A Vacation was produced) --- and it's a fine line to walk --- and there are times that LSG is pretty blatant about the self promotion. I can spot the moments, and I kinda cringe at times, and maybe even get irked by it, but I would never expend the energy that these netizens do in creating such clamor. ANYHOO...

B-unnie - I LOVE KimC. Just love him. He's the only father (until LSGeun has his baby) out of the bunch, and as you said, he is totally Mr. Been-there-done-that. I read (or tried to read) a Korean article about him a few weeks ago at the hair salon and it said something about how he was sick for a period of time and that sickness is the cause for him being so skinny --- or something like that. KHD always calls KimC by "Kim-Sung-Seng-Nim" (but with KHD's accent he says "Kim-SuhSeng" haha), which is very respectful even though KHD is older that KimC --- that tells you a lot right there.

The pictures from that particular trip (Jejudo and Udo Island) are indeed truly great. It's funny you mention how their chemistry pops in those pictures, because I've watched those two episodes more than any other BECAUSE the guys REALLY came together on this trip. You could tell even without the end clips of the guys telling they miss each other and stuff. Also, when KHD and EJW were playing a prank on LSG while in the bus and KHD gets on his knees and says "don't leave the show," LSG says, "I won't...I'll stay till the end." --------
I'm gonna rewatch those episodes tomorrow!

eequeezee: I have no problem with artists promoting their works. The only concern I have with LSG is the catch-22 dilemma of overexposing himself. It could be a turn-off if it is not done right. I’ve always love LSG’s hidden charm. So it’s a little odd to see it being marketed so openly now. But it’s just my own little quirk. I’m happy that he gains even more popularity now. He fully deserves it.

[TOP]: I love KimC after this latest episode. He’s my hero! I seriously wanted to group hug him too after the bungee jump. You’re right, he seems to be a very giving selfless person. Almost paternal-like to all his younger mates. This past episode was very entertaining. The games are so suspenseful. Yikes. I love that this time, they’re all working as one team instead of against each other. It was KimC’s turn to come to the rescue for the group. And he pulled through marvelously. Yay! I also heart EJW for doing the kowtows… LOL at the resulting consequences though. Once again, they mesh so well as a team.

Hi all, I've had a busy and tiring week so I haven't been able to visit. But since I miss this forum so much I had to pop in and say chao to everyone before I head off to bed. Eeesh, there's so much conversation going on here I don't know where to chime in. I'll just say a few words and save my long posts for another day. First, as always thanks bediferent, o511029, and didunz for the vids and updates. Where would I be without my dose of Seung Gi vids. Bedifferent, saw your slideshow and really liked it. I'm glad you gave some time to each person before you lead into the group pics. Seeing these guys goof off and play like kids on weekly bases makes you forget sometimes they are also stars and charismatic entertainers in their right by themselves. When I saw Ji Won's pic I was like, "wow, he can be pretty cool too" and then I remembered he was at one point in a popular boyband and now a solo artist not just some smart ass, witty as hell, guy. But of course the best part was the group pics. Their smiles just say LOVE. Oh, and regarding how you want to load vids...of course YT would be easiest to view, but I'm ok either way as long as I can see Seung Gi. He's worth the loading time

Sunlight, Sarangia... keep up the good work with the Korean. You guys can definitely help us to know more about Seung Gi, much appreciated. Although I should take that as a cue and learn myself. What sites do you guys recommend to learn basic Korean?

I saw the latest ep of 1n2d too. I'm happy to see they extended the length, kinda figured it would happen since We Got Married did already, but I couldn't help but be a little disapointed in Seung Gi though for not jumping. I know he was scared, but like after the 2rd or 3rd time he tried I couldn't help thinking, 'come on, your a boy, just jump!'. On the other side, I was super proud of Kim C too. He saved Seung Gi and Ji Won's butt. I too think men are most charming when they have understated confidence and charisma, which is why I'm loving Kim C more and more. He has this aura of quiet strength that I totally respect. This was Seung Gi's attraction for me originally too, but I can see lately he's had a bit of confidence boost and has become much more outspoken/bold. I guess this comes with growing up and being more popuar? I do miss the boy with the shy smile. Still a beautiful smile, just much more open now.

Lastly, just a few comments on my favorite topic, wardrobe. I think I can safely let out a sigh of relief now. I believe, the scarf has been put to rest! yeah! Thanks didunz for the latest pics. I'm diggin the shirt/vest/sport jacket/jean or trouser look. Not sure why the hat is neccesary, but I'm happy with everything else. Boy is looking good again. =) And I agree, pink never looked better on anyone. The outfit he wore for this ep of 1n2d was just perfect. Was wondering if he took some pointers from MC Mong for the color combo. I don't usually see him wearing such bright colors. But if you are, this is definitely the way to do it right. Loved the bright pink T under the yellow/grey hoodie. Bedifferent, hee hee...I wasn't going to say much about the biceps though, cause I don't think he has much right now. He's lost his bulk from his last concert long ago so now he's just long and lean if not a little too skinny. Guess that's his secret for making clothes look so good?

Hey all, its beautiful saturday, one day away from happy sunday! Can anyone sense I'm in a really good mood? Thanks to endless rewatching of 1N2D, I'm in a really great mood. I really love the episode where they prepare food for the children, and the latest one with the bungee jumping also cracks me up to no end too. LSG just totally spaced out on the car, unable to sleep too, out of nervousness after resigning himself to the fact that he is going to have to complete the challenge. And it was comical how he kept repeating the fact that he can't/hasn't even taken amusement rides (all the roller coasters and stuff? oh my goodness, are you for real, seung gi??!!), and in view of that how can he complete this bungee jump... Still cant help laughing at LSG's expression when KHD asked him while in the lift going up to the platform, to be honest about whether he could jump, and if he couldnt, KHD would give him some help by pushing him down. LSG's expression was like ... thanks a lot, hyung! And his third attempt at jumping, where he ended up shouting for Jiwon was priceless. He was just holding onto Jiwon for dear life whereas Jiwon was trying to get away from LSG like his life depended on it. The whole scene looked like it was straight out of a comedy. I must admit that I was really disappointed LSG didnt jump in the end, but I'm in a way glad that he and EJW didnt jump in the end, cuz it ended up much more hilarious watching their contorted and agonised expressions (ahh.. all this drama just for a bungee jump! hahaha..). Kim C is the new hero!! He's often overlooked but I really like him, because he's always quietly looking out for the others. I remember in the 080210 episode, he filled a bottle with hot water to give to LSG because they were going to sleep outside in the cold. He's like both a big brother and a father at the same time. Nice guy.

There are korean language schools here but like i said, its really expensive, so I'm currently taking lessons with a Korean teacher, her family moved here 10 years ago? Its hard to get many korean books here too, since everyone here by convention reads in english/chinese/malay/tamil and the more popular 3rd languages here are Japanese, German and French. I guess that's the downside of living in a melting pot of cultures, its easy to find basic entry level stuff for each of the 3rd languages but hard to find stuff that's in depth.. The only dictionary I found costs like 60USD per volume and there are two volumes.. really really expensive. That's why I'm trying to save up for a trip to Korea.. gotta go there and get everything I want at a shot. Plus I hope to see LSG at least once while I'm still an avid teen fangirl

ivey79 I really love the sogang website for learning basic korean. Its pretty user friendly and comprehensive, there's basic information about South Korea (econs, music and stuff) and the lessons are quite progressive, from the hanguel alpabets to sentences. Do give it a try, i think its one of the more organised websites to learn korean around. For learning to speak korean, you can refer to Arirang's 10minute TV programme which focuses on a specific situation every episode. The eps are uploaded onto CR, I've provided the links to both webbies below. Once you get through these, you'll pretty much be able to understand korean a lot better. By the way, I really loved the grey jacket-pink shirt outfit too. He looks so fresh and cute, and the bright colours really bring out his bright smile

nonikevie haha i started out learning from websites too! It was only until this year when i happened to be tutoring english for two korean kids that i started taking lessons. Couldnt resist the temptation after hearing them babble endlessly in korean at home, and its easier to teach them if i know some korean. Plus i really really really wanted to learn more about LSG, lol.

Bedifferent: thanks for thinking of me =). I enjoyed the vids very much. Still can't believe he was only 17/18 in the Delete vid. What a sophisticated voice for someone so young. The Because Your My Women vid was June '07' almost exactly a year ago and looking back it really does seem our boy has grown up quite a bit. Looks, stage persona, even voice have all matured. This was around the time of his concert right? I remember, because he had been working out for his concert and was much meatier and the most masculine I had ever seen him. He's definitely in better control of the stage now, but I do miss a bit of that shy slowness he had back then. Oh at that note he held at the end of the song....simply beautiful

ivey79, I admit that I was a little disappointed too. I think because there was so much anticipation built up, from choosing LSG to him finally backing down. When he was doing pre-jump preparations, he seemed nervous but not a complete wreck. Everytime he stepped to the edge, he had a very determined face but then he backs out at last minute. However, I still remember his face in one of the inbetween scenes. He seemed extremely upset and I thought he was struggling not to cry/tear up After that, I was hoping one of the others would offer to do it instead. And he was cute running to and tackling EJW I laughed a lot at that, like it relieved the pressure I felt inside for him. Kim C, thumbs up! You'll forever be their hero.
Well, at least Lee Seung Gi tried. If it were me, I think I would actually be excited and a little nervous until I get to the edge. Then I would think "NOOOO I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!!" and run as fast as I can away from there.

bedifferent, lol at the delete video. I remember watching that a while ago and thought he looked so awkward! I can't watch it properly, it keeps stopping but from what I remember, is it the girl in "Because you're my woman" MV? I forget. He looks really good and sweet in the "Because you're my woman" perf. Thanks! His smile is love.

Sarangaia, heehee I agree it was a good show. Aw, where Kim C is the nice and caring older brother, KHD is the teasing older brother. Thanks for explaining some of what happened.

I also admire Sunlight, sarangaia, nonikevie and all the people learning Korean when it isn't your first language. I wouldn't be able to do that (I have no will, just rely on others ) I just think it would be weird for me to learn another language when I don't know my ethnic language, Chinese, at all.

i have been liking lee seung gi since the first day he made his debut
and i just recently heard that he's band from both sbs and mbc (which im guessing is old news...cuz now that i think about it he really didnt perfrom i'll give you everything that much other than music tank)
and i was wondering
why is that?
ive heard rumors about it
saying that KBS's 1 night and 2 day
is the cause
but that doesnt make sense
because mc mong and eun ji won is still allowed to go on them
eun ji won is the mc for inkigayo
so im so confused
can someone tell me why?
i hope he wasnt and doesnt get too badly affected by the broadcasters stupid fight for money

hello funkypicklez! love your name =) about your question with the MBC and SBS thing... who knows really. There's a war going on with the stations, but when they need people they'll still use them regardless what shows or channels they've been on. It's all to serve their own neesd. So unfair. It's all about power and politics and these poor singers are just caught in the middle. Like our Seung Gi. Please come and join our discussions and feel free to speak your mind. Good or bad we welcome all =)

o51029, your awesome with your vids. I actually saw them last nite right after you posted them. It was interesting listening to his latest rendtion of "Because your my Women" vs the one Bedifferent posted. It was a completely different feel. New Seung Gi is softer, more suttle, more controlled vibrato, but less oomph I think. I was wowed by the one he did in 2007, but not so much by his recent one. Even comparing "Let's Go on Vacation" vs that performance his voice feels a little weaker. I know keeping up your voice takes practice, I just wonder if that power is ever going to show up again. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE his voice and by far one of the best out there, but there was a reason I loved him in the first place and that was his bold and strong voice. Ok, what's wrong with me? I should really stick to the positives, instead I always end up critiqueing. I must declare, I am still a Seung Gi fangirl!! Hee hee... Have a great day all!
