All right. Its really the last performance now.. feel a little wistful. The Seung Gi performances these few months were great while they lasted. Can't believe they are over so soon, it feels like yesterday when I got all excited in the middle of my social work lecture (yes, I was slacking and surfing the net, haha) to see his remake album on for pre order on yesasia. I remember I was SUPER happy when I first heard his title song in the album, I've loved the song I'll Give You All since like forever. Even though his MV for this song baffled me (like huh? why is LSG looking so sloppy), I still love his rendition of the song. It was softer, more wistful than the original, and he made full use of the vibrato I adore so much. The song really touched me. Next came You Inside My Memories, such a refreshing change from the original version which was much slower. Will always remember fondly the guerrilla concert which the 1N2D guys held, such an amazing atmosphere! LSG seemed to just look brighter and brighter, happier and happier when promoting the song too. After that summer vacation hit me in the face, and there was Let's go on a Vacation to get high on. I remember that fan video that bedifferent unnie posted before the digital single came out, with all the screaming fan girls in the background. That was exactly how I felt when I first heard the song, exhilarated! And there the boy was, all smiles and confident onstage, making the audience go delirious. And how can we forget the MV to this bonus track? I know some of you here were disappointed by the fact that the mv didn't show more footage of the other 5 guys in 1N2D, but I loved the MV despite this little imperfection. It was like watching a replay of the things that happened in the short span of a few months, how he has grown so much and gained so much popularity too. His huh-dang moments and the crazy jump in the sea moments, all those classic scenes on 1N2D. Its amazing how so much can happen in so little time!

I think the singing for this last performance beats the the 2706 one by miles. The energy was back, and he hit the notes well. And of course, we have his best buddy Mc Mong to make things even more fun Circus wasn't as good as the YHDLL collaboration, but that's pretty much because the song is focused on the rapping parts, so it was hard to mesh things together. It was a cute collaboration though. Fun too. Love those stage props, and Mc Mong! But LSG's floppy hair didn't go well with his suit when he was singing I'll give you all. It made him look old. I miss that terrific haircut he had when he was doing promotions for Story of a Separation, haha. That was the BEST. The shirt he wore for the circus and vacation was ok, a little odd but cute. But what were those chains doing, dangling out of the pockets of his pants? Distracting~~~ Still, the boy is cute. Oh, and is it me or has the guy bulked up again? His upper body looked a little bulkier in that shirt...

Its been a great summer. Let's hope it gets better! (esp when Iljimae comes out). Have a great weekend everyone!

YDH LL collaboration was still the best. A lot has to do with song choice. Like sarangaia said, Circus was mostly rapping. I didn't think LSG contributed much to it. But he was cute doing the dance ^^

Hey guys! Just saw the special stage performance. I LOVED it. Agree with o51029 wasnt the best vocally on most of the songs, but that really wasn't the point was it? It was to give it one last go, have fun, and say good bye with a smile on your face. The atmosphere was great, did you guys hear the girls screaming "Lee Seun Gi, Lee Seung Gi!" over and over? Worried about not having enough fangirls still dear boy? He was a little awkward singing Circus though, but the looks he exchanged with Mong were too cute. The freindship just beamed from out of their ears. The more I watch MC Mong perform, the more I admire his voice. He really isn't given enough credit for his talent. He has great tone, great projection, actually a pretty decent voice, and the guy can rule the stage. So proud of them both. And yeah, I agree with you too Sarangaia, he does look more bulked up. How could I miss that? You coudln't tell in that dreary brown suit of his, but with the Tshirt you could see his bicpeps waving in the air. Not bad, not bad. Speaking of the suit, that was my favorite performance of Give You My All for me. I thought he sounded relaxed and strong. My favorite part of any artists promos are always at the end, cause by then they've mastered their song. When he first started promoting this, I was not too crazy about the more restrained, softer style of singing plus the over dramatized expressions. I really missed the oomph and power he used to bring. But as promos went on the song and style grew on me and I think finally he's found a bit of a mixed version of his old self and the new style. Longer and stronger vibratos, smoother voice and overall just more free and relaxed. I am soooooo going to miss him on stage. Especially since he's getting so good again. Like you said Sarangaia, Let's Go on Vacation was sort of the cumulation of it all. Watching him these few months, I feel this is his moment to shine. Who knows where his career will go. For sure I hope for the best, but who really knows. It's about time, place and luck. What are the chances you'll be on a hit show like 1n2d ever again? Or have a hit song and album? Or number rated drama? I wish our boy the best and I'm going to miss him like crazy until he comes back with new music, but I have faith he'll show us a new self again and bring us fangirls something to remind us exactly why we love him.

Yea I like the outfit too. And the stylist must got fired and the manager ajoshi`s giving him the clothes lol But anything looks good on him. His smile gets away the attentions on his clothes. And can u guys see his finger there? I guess it`s not healed completely. Poor him Anyways... Sugeun and him helped the Girls Generation (Tiffany)?? Was the words on champaign were real? I can`t be like this and have to wish him the best but honestly, i`m kind of jealous... And only two of them did the rose carpet?? So beautiful... He sure can do anything.

Girls, that was a nice Special Stage. A nice send-off for LSG. It slightly irked me that they cut off the hug. Anyways, Music Bank did a fair job of editing the performance. Not quite impressed with the set but I couldn't have wished for a better good-bye. I LOVED the look MC Mong gave Seunggi at the end. It's part pride, part friendship, part happiness. It reminds me of the look LSH gave LSG in those early duets. That's why I grrr when they cut away from the hug. Bad bad editing there, Music Bank. Re: the performance, I like the way Music Bank sets up “I'll Give It All” to lead into the other songs. Like LSG's outfit, chains and all. Uhuhh, the guy has been working out. sarangaia, I find your comment regarding LSG in a suit quite interesting. Bad hair aside (yup, short hair with the next album please. Uhhh, while you're at it, Seunggi, may I suggest switching to a new stylist also?), this is the guy that we totally linked with the suit not so long ago. His image was defined by the suit for years. Yet, now, some of us may prefer him without it. Good for him for looking his age. That does not prevent the shallow fan-girl in me from spazzing out whenever he dons on a dark well-fitted suit. Uhhh, yeahhh.....back to the performance, right! LSG looked comfortable in Circus. Not totally at ease, but cute with his moves. Brushing aside a few miscues and hesitations, the duo was good together. I like “Vacation”. Solid vocal from LSG- MC Mong add-on rap gave it some funk. While YDH LL's appearance allowed them to bond, I thought the Music Bank performance was more about having fun. Some fans may prefer this high energy performance more. I personally vote for YDH LL. It's simply too sweet for words.

I'm really going to miss all of this. Even with all his success from 1N2D, LSG appealed to me most because of his voice. It's something unique. He's too talented of a singer to not be missed. So I'm a bit torn about this new direction he's taking. On one hand, I'm wishing him lots of luck with this acting gig. On the other, I would be really bummed if Iljimae becomes a hit. Cause it means that he may take a break from singing and pursue acting. That would really break my heart. I'm so counting on hearing Vol.4 next spring. Hehehe. I would totally go into withdrawal and start posting in the SuJu thread. Hahaha. Kiddingness aside, it has been a fun ride for the last year or so; following LSG since Volume 3 debut. I think I must have posted roughly 100 times in this thread since – that's a lot for someone who is a lifetime Soompi lurker. It's the first time I actually follow an artist this closely.

A lot of us love Seunggi as he is now: fun, spirited, spontaneous and dorky. I like him a lot as a teenager. He was no less endearingly special. I saw a lot (trust me, A LOT) of LSG clips over the last few months. I thought he was unbelievably poised for someone so young. For someone who entered the business so early, he somehow was able to remain relatively huh-dang, away from the crappy world of Kpop. I give him mad props for maturing so gracefully. (I wish I could do the same, ). I think part of LSG's success is his unbelievable luck. He's quite fortunate to have been mentored by LSH and managed by a small company. Even when he was banned from many music shows this year, 1N2D came to the rescue. Compared to many K-pop albums released in '08, Remake #2 was not an exceptional one. What was so remarkable about it is that LSG was able to pull off a K-chart topper and a top-20 song despite limited promotional activities. He even squeezed in a crowd-pleasing digital single from the show. Thank god for 1N2D. Not bad for having the foresight to choose a show that many may have overlooked. So along that line, break a leg, LSG. I have a feeling that he'll be fine with Iljimae. If it ever gets off the ground that is. In the mean time, I'll just laugh myself silly weekly with all the 1N2D antics. Like this one. It needs its own Special Stage

Hi DuGi! Its a remake, all the songs on his newest album are remakes. 추억속의 그대 (You inside my memories) was released in 1988 by 황치훈 (Hwang Chi Hoon) in his first self titled album as the title track. Lyrics and melody by 윤상. I haven't been able to find the original song online though, I only heard it in the karaoke when i was searching for the song Yes, I'm Singaporean, and I've been learning korean for almost 7 months (including this month, haha) now, taken around like 30 over lessons? Actually I think my progress is pretty slow, I wish I had more time to learn korean intensively. There's still so much that I need to learn to be able to understand them better..

The hair has finally gotten a well deserved trim, and the suit with the silver tie was nice (soooo much better than that DRAB and ill fitting brown thing he was wearing on music bank), just that the sleeve looks too short. Hee hee, love it. That was awesome. Express yourself girl! o51029 and Sarangaia,Thanks for new pics and updates. So it sounds like their going to be using that photage for an upcoming ep? The stuff about Seung Gi and LSG helping out and seeting up for the music show? Taht would be interesting. It's pretty cute to see him with headphones and working like a regular joe. Don't you guys still get the sense he's working really hard at it? No matter what he does, he seems to put his whole heart into it. And yes! A hair cut! But I agree with you Bedifferent, somehow it looks a little off. I think the bangs are cut a little too evenly and it looks a little too neat. But that's ok cause the boy has got a nice suit on again!! Whooo hooo! I know the sleeves look a little short, but apparently that's the latest trend in mens wear to have the jacket sleeves be a bit shorter than the dress shirt. Just saw the first half of this ep and yeah... pants...sigh...again you've got great legs kid and apparently your working on a great body too, so why must you outfit them in such clothes? Oh how missed your style just a mere 8-9 months ago. The pants weren't his only prob on this ep either. I seriously was hoping someone would throw that hat of his out the moving vehicle while he was sleeping. He sure is attached to that thing. Even at night Seung Gi? When there's no sun? After getting scared like a little girl why would you even be embarrased about your hair? The orange polo and funky glasses were a no go for me too. i thnk my favorite part of his whole atttire this whol ep were his socks. Hee hee, cause I think he has cute feet. Ok, fashion aside, this was another fun, but long episode. Particular long for us non-speaking fangirls here. But the part where Seung Gi got scared like 5 or 6 times in a row was priceless. Simply priceless. I think I rewatched the first 2 like 3 or 4 times and then when I finally decided I could go on with the rest of the ep it happened again, and again, and again!! Ha ha ha. Poor Seung Gi, he probbly thought it would never end. Can't wait to find out what Kim C's story was about since Seung Gi got so freaked out by it. Still it was surprising anyone would get tricked like that over and over again and fall for it each time. I don't believe he was faking it either cause he was literally shaking with surprise. Oh dear boy, just when I thought you coudln't get anymore endearing. YOU do. Too awesome for words. Overall this trip had a lot of traveling and I could see it take a toll on them. Especially Mong, he looked beat. They all looked so miserable sleeping and trying to get comfortable. Seung Gi and his legs spread over the isle was really funny. Sucks to be tall sometimes. But did you guys notice how propper he looked even sleeping? Everyone else is like spread out all over the place with their heads and mouths hanging wide open, but not our Seung Gi. Even sleeping, he looks like a good little boy. Well, thats what he looks like to me anyways I was shocked by the number of people that showed up for the gorilla concert. The stage was pretty makeshift, but the atmosphere was really good. I think MC Mong was the most popular guy there and I just loved the sheepish grin on his face when the crowd was cheering the loudest for him. The "I love you, thank you" duet with SeungGi is really coming in handy for them. perfect song to liven the mood and get the whole cast involved. Really can't wait for the subs and translations on this one. (No rush girls, wasn't trying to hint at anything )

Good to see he'll be going on another variety show. I was a little disapointed with his promos this time with the lack of shows he was on. Looking forward to 7/10/08. Have a good nite guys, see ya later in the week.

Bedifferent, thanks for the vid with audio and of course beautiful choice of pics. I have always wanted to hear him sing the rest of this song. The one line he's done on a couple of shows always blew me away and I've been curious to know if he could sing the rest of it. It would be great if he came out with more music like this for his next album. His voice sounded so strong and confident during his 3rd album promos. I loved all his performances during that period and in partiucular the radio ones like my all time favorite duet with Yanpa.

(BTW Sarangaia, glad you like reading my posts. You don't know how much I appreciate yours. I don't have much to contribute, so it's the least I can do to keep this forum active. Vattenboll if you have the time, try listening to his albums as a whole, part of his charm is his versatility in singing, he really makes the song his. You'll definitely have to listen to 내 여자라니까, 삭제, 하기 힘든말, 입모양, 작한 것지말, 왜..기니, 아직 못다한 이야기 since they are his (original) bread and butter songs. For his covers, 여행을 떠나요, 다 줄거야, 원하고 원망하죠, 한번만 더, 추억 속의 그대 are great to listen to. Personally, I like too many of his songs to count Well, some of my all time favourites are 나방의 꿈, 그래서 어쩌라고, 가면, 눈물, Smile Boy, 나를 슬프게 하는 사람들... not forgetting all those great live radio performances that he has too.

[T.O.P]Sunlight I'm disappointed that MCM smokes too. I dislike smokers, since smoking usually harms people around the smokers more than the smokers themselves. Then again, the fact that MCM smokes doesn't discount the fact that he's a great guy and hardworking entertainer. I feel sorry for the guy actually, he's been under so much scrutiny for all the wrong reasons lately. So many artistes smoke in Korea, sigh. They hide it really well, don't they? I feel lucky I live in a place where not many people smoke, I really dislike smoking (as i reiterate again). I just hope LSG doesn't pick up the bad habit and for MCM to make good on his promise to quit someday soon.

I wanted to post here when I was done with the first part of my summary, but i couldn't resist coming here to share some stuff with you guys. In my quest to find music sheets for LSG songs, I just found a GREAT site for scores, mp3 and lyrics for korean songs. You will have to pay for the full scores, but they give you a preview of the first page of the scores, and trust me, that's all one needs to be able to play the rest of the song. Its all in korean though. Just search the name of the singer you are interested in and everything will pop up. You need to sign up before you can get a preview of the scores though, but signing up is painless, not like so many other korean sites which require a social security number. The link is http://www.akbobada.com. It should be pretty simple to navigate around, but if anyone needs help, I'm always here

가수 겸 연기자 이승기 주연의 MBC 드라마 '일지매'의 편성이 내년으로 최종 연기됐다.

MBC 측은 8일 "이승기가 이미 주인공으로 낙점되고, '궁'의 황인뢰 PD가 연출을 맡을 드라마 '일지매'는 여러가지 이유로 인해 내년에 시청자들을 찾아갈 것"이라고 밝혔다. 이로써 당초 올 하반기 방영 예정이었던 '일지매'는 계획보다 늦은 오는 2009년 전파를 타게 됐다.

이승기 주연의 '일지매'는 고(故) 고우영 작가의 인기 만화 일지매를 원작으로 할 작품이다.

한편 방송계 일각에서는 현재 이준기 주연의 드라마 '일지매'가 SBS를 통해 방영되고 있는 점도 MBC '일지매'의 방영 연기에 직, 간접적인 영향을 준 것으로 보고 있다.

sarangaia: I felt the same way watching the coolFM clip of LSG/LSGeun. Not understanding what were said didn't stop me from rolling over with laughter. The image of the odd couple said it all. They even high-fived each other. LOL. LSG was really into it too. Take it easy with the translations, ya hear? Here's a virtual bottle of Motrin for your trouble. I don't like aspirin. The damn thing never worked when I needed it to.

For those who liked the E Jul Ge's audio clip. Ditto here. Amazing range for a ballad singer. I was so hoping he included this song in his Remake #2.

Re: MC Mong and his cigarette-puffing controversy. IMHO, in hindsight, the moment should be left off camera (either by Mong or the editor). Nicotine addiction should not be taken lightly. But it still is a personal choice and change can only be started by the individual. So I'd like to give Mong the right to his privacy and personal decision. It was a hard trip for him so I think we have to take that in account. Hopefully, he is now more in tune with the state of his health (after the hospitalization) and be more conscious his choices.

There's nothing extraordinary about these fan videos. I just thought that LSG was utterly charming in the “My Girl” perf. It's one of those I-wanna-take-him-home-to-meet-my-mom moments. Well, at least for me. Yup, eye candy uploads for bedifferent. All empty calories and no nutrition. The way I like my singers these days.

Wanted to just check in and chime in on stuff -

B-unnie/Sarang-unnie - Thank you for the EEJUL GE video/stripping the audio into mp3. I too wished that LSG recorded that song for his remake album. I love the original by YDH, but love LSG's version because he can just belt it out more. What upsets me about the song is how YDH and an annoying woman sing the chorus with LSG, and that part sounds bad. LSG sang a bit of the song on YDHLL, and even then, YDH sang the chorus with LSG (LSG asked YDH to do so). I just wish LSG can sing the entire song by himself. ANYHOO.

I watched the 1st Baekdu episode of 1N2D - so much fun and personally, it was really emotional. Love Letter was hilarious. What a great memory for the ladies on the ship! And I couldn't help but smile the whole time through - remembering the episodes MCM and LSG were in, and of course, all the fun the KHD brought hosting that show. My best friend and I would always joke about how we were going to go on that show and show Shin Jung Hwan and Kim Jong Min love. Good times. Sarang-unnie, thinking about how you translated all that you did for the episode --- that must have taken you a ridiculously long time. Wow. I'm amazed - really.
The moment when the guys were on the deck of the ship, and saw a N. Korean fisherman, but couldn't shout out to him --- so they all waved at him hoping he'd turn and look --- just broke my heart.

I cannot CANNOT wait for the next episode. Reading the 1N2D thread - the episode is supposed to be 2 hours long??? I am excited, but am concerned as well. I hope there isn't too much filler...
So MCM got caught smoking on camera huh? SIGH. It's disappointing that he got caught on camera like that - I'm sure that MCM (and everyone else related to the show) did not want to project that image to the viewers (particularly to the families/children who love him so much). He's such an open and tangible celebrity, I think that people feel a sense of betrayal because a few weeks ago on Star King, he implied that he didn't smoke (I think I mentioned this already). I'm just sad that he smokes - I want him to be healthy Also makes me wonder who else on the show smokes...

THE PICS OF LSG from Yoo Jae Suk's wedding - I thought he looked weird too. Something about his eyes just didn't sit well with me. Everyone takes bad pictures at times, but three in a row like that from LSG?

Ok, here's part one of this week's ep. Its really long, and it'll take me some time to listen and type their convos out, but I'll try my best! The music they used for this episode is really the best, nice and fitting for each scene. I even heard a few chinese orchestra pieces that I used to play (when I was still active in the orchestra in high school), which brought back really great memories. What can I say? I love the show (and our boy too, of course )

Alighting from the ferry
All right, so the boys have finally reached China after a gruelling 19 hour boat trip. They arrive at the ferry terminal, and there are LOTS of Chinese fans waiting for them already (I've always been curious, how do these people know where and when to go welcome their idols?) The six guys are greeted by screams of OPPA!!~~ from the Chinese fangirls while heading off to the bus.
LSG: End of disgusie, end of disguise! (er, so the hat was supposed to be a disguise? Ah, LSG you are so cute sometimes.)
KHD: 1N2D!!
LSGuen: (We reached) Safely!
MCM: CHINA!
EJW: We got off the boat!! (HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!)
The boys gather in front of a map and start showing us where they are headed to. Now, they have to take the bus, through Changbaeksan maek (长白山脉)
KHD: So how much time will we take?
The other guys: 19 hours!
KHD: How much time?
The other guys: 19 hours!
KHD: We're setting off today and will reach tomorrow, 19 hours.
LSG: We ARE taking 19 hours right?
KHD: Yes, that's it. We'll set off quickly, and get to Yongjong, where we'll do some sight seeing and spend the night there, and its then off to Baekdusan.
And so they set off to Yongjong by bus.

On the bus
LSG: Wah... We are REALLY on our way (to baekdusan)! (laughing) Hyung, why are you going around barefooted?
Caption [Feeling as comfortable on the bus like as if it were my home] ---> LSGuen
They look out of the window and start commenting about the sights. I'm not too sure, but it seems like they then started talking about how they (as south koreans) can't travel back and forth the border (to north korea) even when they are living basically in the same country, but people from other countries can just do so with a valid visa. Correct me if I'm wrong.
They start feeling sad.
EJW: My mom's hometown is Pyong Yang. My grandfather, during the 6.25 battle, accompanied my mom and aunt and came to Namcheok..
I think KHD asks EJW if he still has any relatives there, and EJW says he's not sure.
LSG: But I think that was to be expected back then (there were many cases like that).. My grandfather's siblings are still living there (north korea?)
They all look really wistful and a little sad here. I think its a feeling that we will never understand unless we've been through it, being so close to your relatives, but yet not being able to see them as you wish, with so many barriers in between. Its tragic.
PD: Do you see the wire barbs?
KHD: Yes, yes, we see it.
PD: Its the (national) border.
The guys get all amazed at the close proximity they are to the border, and LSG comments that they are just around 30-50m away from it.
PD: The people you see working on the fields here, they are all North Koreans.
The guys are amazed again, and comment on how close they are, within the grasp of the hand. They then see a few tradtional korean houses on the way, and some people of course.
LSGuen: Yah! There's a person there! There!! SONGSAENGNIM! (meaning teacher)
MCM: Ah, it'd be great if we could move slowly (so that they have more time to take in the sights)
The conversation then takes a turn and they start discussing a little bit of history, which I won't go into. KHD though, said something that I thought was really nice. He commented that they wouldn't have been able to see all that they saw on the bus ride had they taken the plane, and it was really the right choice on the PD's part to make them take the ferry to China. Its true isn't it? They may have complained about the tiring journey, but I'm sure what they saw on this stretch of road, they will remember for a long time.

Amnokgang, the Yalu River
KHD: Jiwon ah, we're gonna see the broken bridge!
They arrive at the bridge that's broken halfway. A little info on it from wikipedia: The "Broken Bridge" was built in 1909, (but) it was bombed and partially damaged in the Korean War around 1950 and has not been reconstructed.
LSG: It's intact (in good condition)
MCM: Where does it end?
And the captions say [they see cheonhwakhi (broken bridge) now] [the Amnokgang bridge that is broken] [their faces stiffen] [and they all can't say a word] [they get off the bus for a while]
So they all get off the bus to tour the broken bridge. It was quite touching, the entire scene, I guess I don't have to explain much. KHD made all of them jump over the line, and they all started running towards the end of the bridge.
LSG (exclaiming): Woah! There's Sinŭiju!
MCM: That's Sinŭiju?
LSG: Is it really 100m (away)?
They seem to be all really affected on seeing the sights before them. Notice how parallel to the broken bridge, there's another bridge that runs intact to North Korea. That's the ONLY bridge left connecting the two countries, and is one of the few ways to enter or leave North Korea. Apparently trains run there daily. Wow, this is one big history lesson for all of us..

eequeezee, glad to hear from you! hehe. I agree. I wish that we had a clean live performance from LSG for Eejul Ge. I too was so touched in the last few minutes on the ship deck with the image of KHD waving at the fisherman. It was poignant beyond words.

Undoubtedly there is a fine line between hero-worshiping and fan-adoration. In an ideal world, celebrities would be perfect beings and gasoline would be priced at 2 dollars a gallon. But neither is. So here we are. We seem to forget that they are human and are fallible. They make mistakes. Like we all do. I do understand the public disappointments and their sense of betrayal. Sure, he should understand the gravity of his public statements. I also agree that most public sentiments are reflections of our desire for him to value his health. We also must understand that this incident alone does not define MCM the man. In a way, I'm glad that it happened. It forces Mong to make a decision regarding his smoking habits. Smokers no doubt undergo the same inner battle as substance and alcohol abusers do. They should be given the same respect for their fight toward the disease. The destructive effect of nicotine on the health and well-being of smokers and others around them are devastating. However, it will take more than netizens' uproar to make the change. It has to start from the individual who no doubt needs our support more than criticism to make the positive change. He should quit smoking for himself and not to ease public outrage. I truly wish MCM and all smokers out there who are fighting the addiction battle the best in making the air better for us. They all deserve thumbs up for the attempts. Now, if I can do something about the ozone layer. Hmm.

sarangaia: thank you so much for your translations. Please take your time since this episode requires much more background explanations than previous ones. For a change, I will take my time watching it while waiting for your summaries. I'm so glad that you feel the same about the music. It helps to set the mood at the bridge scene. I was so glad that the cameras let the moments be. It's one of those times when you just have to step back and let the cast take over. Let the images speak for themselves. I think this episode is one that benefited a lot from having cast members' age varied greatly. We can get a sense of how the trip affect each of the different generation. How they all start the trip and what they get from it are incredibly different.

About Iljimae, I have to admit some disappointment, only because I've been expecting it since last year when the news came out. I was really looking forward to seeing more of his acting. I hope this doesn't screw up LSG's future acting endeavors and I really hope that both the Iljimae production and Lee Seung Gi (and managers) agreed amicably that this is the best solution. I don't want to see LSG get blacklisted or have a "bad" reputation in the acting world. *worried*

Sarangaia, thanks a lot for the translations. I knew that they were talking about the dramatic/traumatic history of Korea what with the images of the war and the music. It was indeed very touching and sad watching it over again with your translations. Good job also with including background information. I can't say I'm a history buff so I didn't know anything about the war. I think the show was very respectful when talking about it and North Korea.
LOL at LSG's disguise. If anything the hat makes him stand out more haha. I think the glasses were a part of the disguise too ^^

Eequeezee! The next episode may be 1hr 40 mins but I really didn't mind it, even though I didn't understand it. Let's put it this way, it wasn't as excruciating as the bunjee jump scene. At least I don't think so. And even if there were parts, there were a lot of interesting points in the middle to lead you forward, and the last part was really funny.

Personally, I never got a sense that Iljimae was meant to be a LSG project. In fact, I'm not even sure if Iljimae should be made. It's a production that has been plagued by delays and lack of funding for a while. If I were in LSG position, I would feel uneasy leaving a highly rated show (albeit it's only a variety show) for the unknown just because of a prior agreement. So I sense that there was more weight given to 1N2D by LSG to force MBC to drop the fight. Or maybe they folded because of other problems on top of scheduling conflicts. I'm just hoping that LSG was able to secure some sort of a deal for future project from MBC. That way, both parties benefited from the break up. Otherwise, like o51029 said, it could get really ugly in the drama world for LSG if the break was not a mutually pleasant one. MBC is one station that you would not want to mess around with. I'm slightly disappointed that I won't be able to see LSG act. I've held off watching his other drama (7 princess is it?) cuz I want to have an open mind when Iljimae air. Oh well. On the other hand, I hope that with the Iljimae's dilemma out of the way, it will open up other possibilities for LSG. It would be hard to believe that no one else sees the potential in his popularity right now. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that he will get offers. I mean you can't expect him to be singing covers and star in a variety show forever. He needs to branch out. He just needs to choose the right project. Meanwhile, how about that talk of volume 4?

So much on the guy today. Ok, apparently he's the 3rd most searched on yahoo!korea today, with his confession on his first kiss on Happy Together. LOL, the boy loves to drop a bomb here and there occasionally on those variety shows doesn't he? I have a feeling some fangirls are not going to feel happy about it, but I personally think its not a problem. the guy is human after all, dating, kissing.. whatever, he will do all these things at some point of time. Pop idols are really a repressed group of people (ok, random thought). Read the article here.

Regarding Iljimae, I must say I feel relieved that the whole thing is over. Its good news. I just don't see how LSG was going to fight the competition when SBS's Iljimae is so awesome (yes, it really is good). Like o51029, I'm a little disappointed too, but only because I'd looked forward to seeing him in a drama. Like you guys have mentioned, I hope the break is an amicable one, since we wouldn't want to see him blacklisted. Hopefully they settled this in a tactful manner. I wonder if he will become hot property after being freed up from Iljimae. There's a lot of potential to be tapped into with his popularity and image. Oh, the video link that bedifferent unnie posted was really interesting, the reality is that celebrities become successful with the image that they build. In the same vein, LSG really has succeeded in image building (which is why all of us here adore him )

eequeezee So glad to see you back! How was everything? Well, I have no idea how I did the loveletter 1N2D episode too. I just remember myself watching, typing and checking the dictionary, and I somehow ended up with a mind boggling amount of text on my blog. Don't worry about the extra long episode this week, it's worth the time. I got all teary eyed when they were on the broken bridge, and I actually did cry a little when I saw their reactions on seeing the North Koreans from far but not being able to get into contact with them, as well as their concert at the end and how they were so warmly received (yes, my tears tend to work overtime easily). Its amazing how differences can be bridged with simple things (like a variety show in this case). They've really come a long way.

I'm so sad.No reason ㅠㅠ

More of 1N2D! Please ask me first before you take this out of the thread, because I'm going to be editing a lot for this week. Ah, LSG's first kiss again. The boy likes to talk about it a lot doesn't he? LOL. Anyway, here's what I have.

Back on the bus
The guys are back on the bus and hungry, and so the PD passes them some Chinese stuffed pancakes.
LSG: PD, thanks for the meal.
LSGuen: This is the most tasteless thing I've eaten in 2008!
EJW starts singing Adios, LOL! And here's the infamous smoking incident fro MCM too. Anyway, this time round, the PDs pass them chinese crullers. They're kind of like dough fritters, and are commonly eaten with soya milk as breakfast. They're neither sweet nor salty, but they're really yummy when eaten with coffee, tea or soya milk, and I eat them pretty often for breakfast (even though i live in Singapore, they can be found here too )
LSGuen: I'm not eating it..
EJW pops a piece into his mouth.
EJW: I'm not eating this!
HAHAHA! Guess they're just not used to the taste of it. These dough fritters have their historical background, but I'm not gonna go into it. Let's just say without anything to go with it, it CAN be pretty tasteless.
This time, the PDs bring out corn, and EJW goes WAAA! Haha, they must have been real hungry.
KHD (in the background): Oh man, give us rice to go with it (the corn), rice..
EJW happily digs into his piece of corn, but...
EJW: How can corn be this tasteless??
Two hours on, the guys are in various states on unconsciousness on the bus. LSG has his jacket over his head (to block out the sun I guess, HAHAHA!), KHD has this unknown thing covering his face and his mouth wide open. They zoom in on EJW, who is somehow resting his head on his shoulders. Four hours on, KHD is sleeping uncomfortably. He soon wakes up at the sound of the brakes, and cleans his eyes, and glares at the cameraman. The small red captions go [What's with this camera!] [If it comes this close to film me] [my face is gonna appear REALLY BIG!] HAHAHA!!
KHD: We are travelling and travelling, but we don't seem to be at the end of it.. China... Ahh.. the journey is really long..
LSG: (waking up) Where are we now?
KHD: We have 20 more hours of travelling, so... just go back to sleep again!
LSG starts groaning.. KHD starts examining MCM and EJW in their sleeping states. LSguen passes them a banana, which KimC stuffs into the sleeping MCM's mouth and wakes him up. The captions are funny! [What's this..] [Oh, my meal is here!]

3 verse poems
The guys start playing the game to pass time, starting with a groaning KHD.
KHD: Baek- we've been driving a hundred metres and the car isn't stopping, and I wish to pee so much that I'm dying. Du- We've slept for 2 hours and the car isn't stopping.. San- we're going to the mountain..
I'm not sure about the meaning of the verse LSGuen made, but I heard the last verse, his phony chinese accent and all. He was saying we're going to the mountain.. FUNNY!! It totally cracked everyone up

Dinner
Seven hours on, they get off the bus and cook some ramen for dinner.
KHD: IS THERE RICE? Rice! I want rice!
HAHA, the big guy starts yelling out all the different kinds of rice. "Isn't there any?" NO, KHD! You are in the middle of nowhere, and so there's no rice for you, not at all!
EJW: Seung Gi yah!~
LSG: Yes?
EJW: Come over..
EJW walks out trying to pretend to be a monk. And he looks, the part, with his shaved head LOL. then they start play acting again, EJW and LSGuen as the monks and MCM as the monkEY. hahaha. The music they play here is kinda wrong too, haha its an orchestra piece that is usually played in celebration of a bountiful harvest (haha, I played it before!), but who cares, it suits the mood. LOL, ans MCM starts screaming, to which KimC throws him a banana. LSGuen then starts knocking at MCM like a monk would on a muyu (a type of chinese instrument that monks play) and acts like he's blessing the monkey, hahahaha!! The monkey throws the banana skin at the monk in fury
The water has finally boiled, and the guys get down to eating their noodles.
EJW: We'll be fine if we eat this on the way to Baekdusan... We ARE going to Baekdusan aren't we? Don't tell me we are actually at Baekdusan already and don't know it?
EJW starts questioning if they are really headed to Beakdusan since the journey seems to be taking forever, with no end in sight, haha. KHD then goes in search of more food from the staff, where he is chided (seeing that the staff are actually eating the same stuff too).

Ghost stories on the bus
Ok guys, from what I gathered, Chayouroh is a place, and the Chayouroh ghost story is pretty well known and was discussed on an episode of Sang Sang Plus before. Just google 자유로귀신 and the images will explain more than I will be able to in words here. Let's just say its a creepy girl with empty eye sockets.
MCM: Who has seen the chayouroh ghost?
KimC: The one with no eyes?
LSG: Its the one that's quite well known.. is it real?
EJW: It's a lie! I've been to and forth there for so many times at dawn and I've NEVER seen it even once!!
LSG: Me too, I haven't seen it even for once. But the truth is there are people who have seen it.. You do know the Chayouroh story right?
PD: Whats the Chayouroh ghost all about?
LSG: You don't know? If you go to Chayouroh and look, there's this girl who wears sunglasses, and it keeps drizzling when the cars pass by. And when you stop and go near to find out why (she's standing there alone with sunglasses on), her eyes will go "BONG!"open (and all her eyes are missing)!
Camera zooms into LSGuen. Migosh, his expression was scary! I think KimC starts telling another version of the story, apparently experienced first hand by his best pal Yoon Do Hyun.
KimC: YDH was on his car, on his way back home, and there was absolutely nothing all around him (and he couldn't see anything since it was dark anyway) on the road. While he was all focused on the road, there was this girl who suddenly appeared from the field on the side, and then disappeared into the field again.
MCM jumps out of his seat to demonstrate, which promptly elicits a small scream of terror from one of the PDs (who can't be seen onscreen)
MCM: (to the PD) What's wrong with you?
KimC: After a while, it came out on TV (I'm assuming he's talking about the Chayouroh ghost story being publicized). He had no idea where the place was before that, and then (when the program came out) he realised the Chayouroh place was near the place where he saw (the strange sight of the girl).
PD: So she went on an excursion to Chayouroh and to Nunpadak..?
[multiplayer Chayouroh ghost!] HAHAHA! The captions are SO funny!
MCM: Wait a minute, so going to Chayouroh..
When MCM is speaking, KHD suddenly screams, as a prank. MCM and EJW are all shocked by his exclaimation. Meanwhile..
LSG: Ahh.. my tears are falling..
[Seung gi is.. Crying?] [Why exactly?]
LSG: No, I'm not crying.. the tears are just coming out.. When you hear something scary, don't your tears fall?
But the others don't care and keep talking about ghost stories. Captions [But all his hyungs continue with their ghost story telling] ---> HAHAHA!
LSG:Ah.. I can't ever go to Chayouroh.. How am I even supposed to go to Ilsan?
KimC: Have you heard of the SokChogondo story?
LSG: What's that? I go to SokCho often..
KimC: Over there, there was some university students who went there for an outing. One of the guys realised he left his wallet in the mountains and decided to go get it back (alone). The remaining five people decided to just stick around and play. The guy who went off to get the wallet was called Seung Gi. After that, they waited for around an hour, but Seung Gi didn't come back.
LSG: Oh my goodness, why are my tears falling again.. I'm going crazy..
KimC: While waiting, they notice Seung Gi standing outside the window himself. He just kept staring at his girlfriend and asking her to come over (my goodness, KimC looks SCARY here).
KHD: Goodness, this is really scary..
Someone (I can't make out who says this) says: KimC makes it sound so realistic!
MCM: KimC hyung is really scary..
KimC: Seung Gi was holding some newpapers in one of his hands, and with the other he kept motioning for his girlfriend to come over. His girlfriend saw him and said "Hey! There's Seung Gi!", her friends kept telling her, "He seems really strange, don't go over!" But its her boyfriend there, and no matter what the friends say, its just natural for her to go out to him. So she went out, and her boyfriend just grabs her by her hand and starts running wildly. After that, when they are a safe distance away, her boyfriend shows her the newpaper, where the headlines read "University students on holiday killed in bus accident", with the faces of their friends all there. So their friends are actually dead!
[Seung Gi crying again?]
Haha, everyone starts saying LSG is crying again, and he sits with his legs curled up in front of him He keeps saying he's not crying though, and the captions are really funny [The one with a weak heart - LSG] [his face is all messed up with tears!]
KimC: Seung Gi is crying, oh, how, what do we do?

Aweeee this news is bittersweet for me.
As a fan, I've watch him succeed as a singer and rejoiced as I see more people recognized his talents/charms through the variety shows.
Although I would love for Seung Gi to continue filming for 1N2D but I also think being casted as a leading role in Iljimae is an excellent opportunity for him to branch out as an entertainer. From watching his previous drama "Famous Princesses", I dont have any doubt in my mind that he can excel as an actor.

As expected, mixed reactions on LSG's decision. Also, lots of comments on the challenges Jung Il Woo will be facing in trying to duplicate the success of LJK's version. I wish JIW lots of luck. One thing for sure, he is playing against type. So I give him props for not tackling a fluffy role. Especially for accepting a role in a drama that is slated to start in 4 months. YIKES! He's dropping Triple too. Oh boy. Now two dramas are on unsteady ground. I find it extremely interesting that most people were quite eager to see LSG act in Iljimae. Not a lot were outright negative on his acting abilities. I guess that's the advantage of being a newbie with limited acting credits. JIW, in contrast, has some drama experience, so right off the bat faces direct comparison to LJK. The question now is if anyone even bother to watch MBC's version later this year. Hmm.

The kiss making headlines again? Pardon me but why is it a big deal when he's already admitted to doing his thang in private (the porn admission)?

mzsmiley: i think you're not the only one with those feelings. I just hope that we don't have the what-might-have-been feelings come November if MBC Iljimae turns out to be a major hit. Come on, someone has to have a project for this guy, yeah?

sarangaia: thanks for the translations again. I must say I heart KHD's "Peace" T-shirt. Very appropriate. I feel for them so much - traveling like this. But like you've said, the experience only makes the reward much more meaningful at the end. BTW, I love that they played LSG's Road to Vacation. Just wanted to put in my two cents about the Iljimae of it all: all reasons are my VERY SELFISH reasons. No hating ---
I am really GLAD that LSG is not doing Iljimae.
For as much as I wanted to believe LSG as a lead in a period action drama, I just couldn't... That isn't to say that if his acting was amazing, I wouldn't have bought into it.
Right now, he is on arguably the most popular show in Korea. His popularity is at an all-time high right now, and I don't think doing Iljimae would take him to another stratosphere of stardom - and as we all know there's already a bar set with the success of SBS Iljimae, and the MBC Iljimae - whether it airs this year or next - won't feel fresh simply because of SBS Iljimae's airing. 1N2D is a big wave that LSG (along with MCM and everyone else) has caught, and they have to ride out the wave because the ride is special. Why get off the wave or teeter back and forth --- LSG needs to simply enjoy this ride.
While doing 1N2D, LSG should concentrate on his 4th album - a NON-remake, and continue his momentum as a singer, which in my opinion, should be given a lot more focus than it has been with his last two albums (as great as they both are).

Hey all, so much to read so much I want to say, but.... my computer freaked out on me and after spending most of my lunch replying to everyones comments, videos, translations, pics... it all got erased. Oh the frustration! I don't even remember half of what I wrote. Blah.. Oh well. This post is going to be a lot shorter than what it would've been just cause my mood totally got killed here. Sorry.

First off, thanks Sarangaia, for your incredible translations. Can't imagine how long it takes you listen and write and relisten and write. And with so much history in this ep, you did research too? Jeeze. Please accept my bow here...thanks so much. And what a cliff hanger you've left me. I LOVED the scaring Seung Gi parts So cruel of me to find fulfillment in seeing him have a heart attack, but it was just too preccious. The boy is soooo gullible. And I dl'd all of your mp3's onto my ipod. Replay, baby, constant replay!

Bedifferent, that is a lot of vids you've collected. But then again, Seung Gi performances never get old do they? I must admit I've never been addicted to anyone's voice as much as I have with this boy's. For a period I was really into Fly to the Sky and I loved Hwan Hee and Brian's voices, but after a while i found little nuances in thier voices that bothered me. I guess I got tired of hearing them. But there's something about Seung Gi's voice that never gets old. It's pure, light and yet strong at the same time. It's frills free, just a beautifull, timeless voice. Yah... thanks for the trip down memory lane. And I loved that fanvid of "because your my women". so close up you got to see every bit of sweat and every bit of fun he was having. I was smiling like crazy along with them. It's just great to see him free like that. Oh, and if you've got more radio performances/programs, please, bring it on. You know those are my favorite types

Sunlight, thanks for the news and article updates. I'm one of those that's happy he's not doing Iljimae. For all the reasons stated previously and just because of personal preference. Iljimae has already got Lee Junki Ki's name allover it and with such an iffy production schedule going on, I don't thing the outlook is good. And even if it turns out it does do well, I don't think it's really that big a loss for Seung Gi. he's doing really well with 1n2d and I think the timing just isn't right right now to leave it. yeah you can say it's a smart or a shrewd move (as I believe dramabeans believes, she is kick isn't she?) rather than him being loyal, but most likely a bit of both. At anyrate he's so talented musically that I think keeping his focus on music and 1n2d for now is just fine. He's still young and there will be other oppurtunities for him in acting. He has enough appeal that I don't doubt there will be others knocking on his door for roles. I mean if MBC had enough confidence to use him as a main lead for a Saguek, both of which he's never done, then I'm sure he's credible enough to be picked by others too. Plus I really want to see him a modern drama. Perhaps a romantic comedy? I'm in need of a good romantic comedy. Can you imagine 20 eps of close ups of Seung Gi? Being charming and cute and nicely dressed? sorry, just me fantasizing.

i agree with eequeezee! i feel relieved that lee seungi isnt going to be in the MBC version of Iljimae. at first, i was excited to see more of him and his acting ability, but it seemed too weird/risky to have 2 versions of the same show airing dually. although we'll be seeing less of seungi, i think it was a smart move to drop out of the drama, especially with so many things on his plate. on a brighter note, he can put more energy and time into other projects, such as his new album (which im anticipating so much!!!)

im sure a better acting project will come his way. its the timing....



i have to say that i feel really thankful for this thread. not only do i love lee seung gi and get to read what other fans have to say about him, it's in English!!! also, im korean, but none of my friends are, so im always bursting to tell someone about lee seungi's music performance or the recent 1N2D episode i've seen

Sad and happy at the same time about Seung gi`s not playing in the role of Iljimae. It would have been a great experience for him to play a historical role. And he could have took a big step to his dream: To be good at both acting and singing.
But on the other hand, If he did the drama and 1N2D at the same time i think it would be very exhausting for him. I don`t know how exhausting a celebrity`s life can be, but heard many singers/actors died or fainted because of exhaustion even they were doing just one thing. I don`t think any strong tough iron made of person can even hold the pressure against a drama which an immensely popular professional actor acting in firstly aired drama and a traveling-hungering-hilarious show at a same time. And...
eequeezee agree with u too about the album. Want more of his great songs. And a memory card with higher gb because my mp and ipod`s memory`s almost full with his songs, videos, pictures. bedifferent If i`m the one who u gave the friendly reminder, Sorry for not crediting it. I didn`t really looked at the uploader`s name when i downloaded the video because they were all in korean. I can read korean but it gives me a big headache and takes so much time to read and understand it. Next time i will take a look at it for sure. And please reply to me about the higher quality one. Ivey79 unnie Aww, you're making me blush Its the least I can do to contribute here. i'm sorry for the cliff hanger ending, I wanted to make sure I'm clearheaded and not all groggy from lack of sleep doing the LSG nightmare part, since its my favourite part too! I keep replaying it too, and laugh myself silly at the whole scene. I guess I'm cruel too I hate it when my computer bails on me when I have typed a lot of text in an internet window too! *Poof* and it all gone. ERGH. And YES! The songs are on replay on my ipod too! Great performances, they are.

bedifferent unnie Woah the video with the guy who was playing You in My Memories on that woodwind instrument was so cool! That thing is dang HARD to play. I tried it once and NO sound came out. AT ALL. Hahahaha According to my friends in woodwind its pretty hard to be pitch perfect on the thing too. I was smiling when he sang 그래서 어쩌라고 too, and that relaxed version of Vacation was FUNNAYYYYYY, with KHD scaring the living daylights out of the boy. Since his confession of what he does in private has probably since been loooong forgotten, I guess they find it more interesting to talk about his first kiss. Gosh, how many times have we been on this already, haha. I guess first times are always interesting to people.

Hi mzsmiley! Yes, the guy is pretty natural in terms of acting, but then again, we haven't seen him in big roles yet. And I'm seconding Ivey79 unnie, romantic comedy please!

Ok girls, I've edited my previous translations a little here and there to make things clearer and more detailed, and I'll continue to do so until I finish this week's episode. I'm really amused today! Went on facebook and realised much to my amusement that there's a Singapore based group dedicated to LSG. HAHA. Plus I finally got another vacation job at a fine arts school which will ends two days before school starts again! (meaning I might have less time for lurking here ) All right, enough of my babbling, let's get down to the real stuff. Hahaha.

LSG's nightmare of the year
Caption [While replacing the tapes]
LSG is listening attentively to EJW, who is talking about seeing ghosts.
EJW: When we see scary things, its actually our minds at work. When you look at it, if there really are ghosts...
KHD decides to lay down and show his head to LSG, and scare the living daylights out of the boy.
LSG: (gets a HUGE fright) AHHHHHH!!!!! Stop it, really!! Ah, really!
KHD gets a kick out of it and giggles madly.
KimC: Oh, he's really getting angry now.
In the background, EJW (I think, not sure who it is) starts mimicking LSG, "AHHHHHH!!!!! Stop it, really!!" They all laugh at LSG, and he gets a little calmer after the shock.
LSG: Tell me an interesting story! A funny one.
EJW: Ah, let's just listen to ghostly ones..
KHD: (Points to the seat in front) Hey, look, there's someone in that seat.
LSG: Ah, there's no one here.
KHD: Look properly, there IS.
LSG: Aieee, there isn't, really.
KHD: But there is..
LSG: Really there isn't. There's no one there. (Asks the cameraman) There isn't anyone right?
KHD still keeps insisting in the background that there IS someone in the seat.
LSG: (in a really serious tone) NO!!!
Captions [S.E.R.I.O.U.S]
KHD: Ok ok, I get it. Don't be s serious, don't be so serious!
But... KHD slyly lies down again when LSG is looking elsewhere. And when he turns around, he SCREAMS really LOUDLY (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) The captions here are hilarious, it goes something like [Seung Gi is in a ghost house It'd be a great day for him to do bungee jumping!] KHD meanwhile, is gasping for breath laughing at LSG.
KHD: Woah.. that was the BEST reaction!
LSG: It's REALLY scary, if you see it (KHD's FACE) from below.
PD: Please do it again for us!
[S.C.A.R.Y]
Next, KHD uses tissue to scare the boy.
LSG: AHHH!! Ah, stop it please, really. Really, please stop it!
I thought he was going to cry from all the scares, haha. Well, at least KHD did something right. LSG took off his darned hat after all that scaring While he's doing that, LSGuen lies down on the floor of the bus next to an innocent and unknowing LSG.
LSG: I'm not going to Baekdusan anymore, really, I'm not going to Baekdusan anymore!
KHD keeps perstering LSG from behind, and he turns to look at KHD, only to be scared by LSGuen who's lying on the ground, and he yells REALLY loudly again.
LSG: AHHHHH!! REALLY, STOP IT PLEASE!!!!
Captions [How many times have they done it to him, but he's scared AGAIN]
They do a replay of the moment, ending with a screen shot of LSG, mouth wide open, and the caption reminds us of his striking resemblance to scream in this scene. [His shriek looks like SCREAM]
LSG: Oh man, I'm really usually not so weak.. oh..
KHD: Let's turn off the lights and sleep.
LSG: (settling into his seat) Oh please don't turn off the lights.
KHD suddenly puts his face in front of the boy again. Of course he gets a scare, AGAIN. Hahahaha. This time he grips his head in utter despair and goes yet again, "Really, please stop it!"
[he hasn't been scared slightly even once in 18 years - the hicupping LSG teacher.] --> LOL
While driving..
KHD: Seung Gi yah, sing a song..
LSG: A song? (starts singing a blues version of Vacation)
KHD: Close your eyes and totally drown yourself in the feel..
LSG obediently closes his eyes. KHD sticks his face in front of LSG in the meantime, ready to scare the boy again.
LSG: (about to go into the chorus) 메..AHHHHH!!!
LSG finally lies down from all that repeated scaring. He starts singing 그래서 어쩌라고, unplugged. (wow!)

some behind the scene stories from 1night2days:

apparently, only mc mong & kang hodong were going to enter china as celebrities (i guess he's talking about where they do that short interview before they let you go when you go to a different country). so up until they got off the boat, only mc mong & kang hodong were going to go as celebrities. but then the PD thought, no, seunggi and jiwon look too much like celebrities. so MCM, KHD, LSGi, & EWJ went as celebrities, and KIMC & LSGeun went as staff, and had to carry heavy equipment. LMAO.

and when he went to china he bought a CD of his that there were selling there, but it was a fake/illegal CD LOL! it was a combination of 19 tracks from various albums of his. LOL.

his item he brought on the show was a chucky doll (FREAKY!). he shared that he watched that movie in first grade, and got so scared because of it, always worrying that chucky would pop out of nowhere. but he found a way to conquer his fear.

when he'd be watching tv or something next his younger sister's dolls, he would attack first. he'd hit and throw the dolls around, like a crazy person LOL. then if there was no reaction from the doll, he'd say "ah, there's no guishin (spirit) in this one." LOL! and sometimes he'd worry that the guishin was just being patient and enduring the abuse and pop out later at night. (AHHH why are you so cute?!)

also at night, when he went into a dark room, he'd be pre-emptive by shouting and scaring all the dolls first, LMAO.

might as well get close with the guishins and get along with them. HAHA. "if i live well and be kind to the guishins, they won't do anything to me!"

^ related to that, since there were so many ghost stories involving elevators, he was really scared of them in elementary school. so whenever he got in an elevator he would sing happy songs to cheer up the guishins. LMAO. OMG. ))#$@)(#&)_&$!&$@(!

then yoo jaesuk asked him, "are you still that scared today?" and seung gi replied, "i don't sing anymore." but said he's still afraid when riding the elevator alone. he also said that when he watched a japanese movie where every floor the elevator moved up the guishin's face would be in the window (i think he's talking about 'the grudge?') and in order not to be scared he'd say nonchalantly, "oh, that guishin's very fast." LMAO.

Ahhh.. thanks so much Bedifferent for those links. Even now, I can't get over how different he looked and felt for the 3rd album. The clothes, the hair, the persona, he seemed so mature and sure of himself. He must of really done a lot of vocal training prior to release because he sounded awesome in almost every performance during that time. He really sang every song to impress. It's that special 'wow' factor that's so elusive these days. And am I the only one that thinks he looks about 6 inches taller with that hair and tailored suits. Man clothes really can make a difference. As we can see lately, he's really relying on his innate cuteness rather than good fashion. And yeah..how did he manage to look so good with matted hair and a oversized raincoat? The wonders of youth and a megawatt smile The show was totally INSANE for filming in those conditions. Pouring rain and they had to play in the water? I can't imagine how anyone would think it's fun. I felt so sorry for them.

Sorry, forgot to mention it before. Congrats to you Sarangaia. I know it's a lot harder these days to find summer jobs and even harder to find ones that you really like and benefit you. Don't work too hard and enjoy your summer while it's still around! I live in the Pacific Northwest of the US and were just finally getting into summer mode and hitting warm weather. We're the most depressed part of the country cause we get so little sun. So I'm definitely gong to enjoy it while it lasts. Soaking it up baby!! Alright, seeya all laters.

Bedifferent, I finally got time to watch those videos you posted. Wow, I agree. I love those festivals that he's able to have a mini concert and it's too bad they're not televised. They sure do a lot of these mini concerts/events! I wasn't aware that there were so many until now because LSG was never limited in music programs in previous years. The dearth of televised offerings made me go to other means (fancams). The whole fiasco made me realize how busy these artists really are and why they're always running off to the next scheduled event.

ivey79 pretty soon we'll see scarf, hat and glasses all at once! Aww, but the glasses look so adorable on him. They remind me of the ones I used to have....in elementary school...
