OMG, what they did to coolsmurf. It sucks. All those Xman episodes. All the work he put in the past two years. It really is a tragedy. Even if those programs were saved (hopefully the files were), I don’t think he would ever reupload them. **sniff sniff** It just make me more appreciative of what Heather and boo are doing re: 1N2D. I don’t think Xman, in its heyday, raked in the type of numbers (ratings wise) that 1N2D is doing. So it’s just a matter of time before KBS start to raid You Tube channels. Especially for the English-subbed eppies. It’s the price you pay for being popular I guess.

Hello all! Hope you all had a great weekend. Sarangaia thanks for the translations. Work is work so don't let it get to you too much. One thing I've learned is that having a short term memory can be a blessing. Just let it all go when your at home. Hope things worked out for ya. As for the latest ep...Still can't get over how wacky and obsurd this show can be. Seung Gi and LSG couple were so funny yet so pitifull. I felt bad for them, but the creativity of this show made for some really great moments. Their really doing a good job of showcasing Seung Gi and all of his cute/adorkable qualities lately. Still can't believe he couldn't tell an automated voice from a real one! That's classic Seung Gi for ya I just loved this weeks ep cause it was just so dang funny. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time. Watching him waddle across the water with his flippers just floored me especially with his wet pj bottoms plastered to his butt and all. When he plopped into the water and couldn't move cause the water was too shallow I just about died! LOL. That whole segment was priceless. Kim C was so cheeky and smart though. He really made those two work for it. I kinda wished he could've done the marathon part too. I have a feeling he's in pretty good shape. When they were climbing up Baekdusan he was singing along the way and didn't look too tired either. He would've given Seung Gi a run for his money I think. But it is good to be young isn't it. Pretty cute of him to pace himself and he made sure he wasn't ahead of anyone most of the way so he could stay with the guys. It wasn't until the very end he sped off past MC Mong. Ahh.. lots of great Seung Gi moments in these last few eps. Yeah, I really really can't wait til this Sunday. It looks to be a lot of fun. And I just have to say I loved what Seung Gi was wearing for the latter part of this ep. It reminds of the old Seung Gi style. Simple and clean. In my opinion best outfit I've seen him in on this show for a long time.

Bedifferent, thanks for the links. And your right, he looks grrrrreat! I loved that first big pic of him with his eyes closed and leaning into the mike. Very cool/rock. He looks to be getting back on track with the fashion eh? Hopefully they fired that stylist from the album. Think those scarves have scared me for life. I'm sooo curious to know what people said abouto him in that SBS segment. I really dont' know too much about his childhood and what he was like as a student in the past. And as a fangirl it's always cool to hear what others have to say about your "idol" (seems weird to call him that, but dont' know what else to call him). I'm sure it's all positive stuff like he was a great student, popular, friendly, etc.... I get the feeling he's not much different than how he is now.

And about coolsmurf... pitty pitty. Really these stations should be thanking people like coolsmurf for taking the time to translate and share Korean culture with people outside of Korea. It is because of the internet and sites like Youtube and Veoh that has made Korean pop culture such a phenomenom world wide. Most people that I know that are into Kpop started from these videos. Suju, DBSK, S5501, even Seung Gi owes a lot of their popularity to people like coolsmurf. Hope he didn't take it too hard. What a loss. Sigh....

At first glance I thought it was an Iphone too b/c they look so similar, but Iphone isn't sold or serviced in Korea.

He was like, well, I call his manager, and usually he's beside him. If not, he's in the washroom. If that's not the case too then he's gotta be at home. What a lovely boy. But it sounds a little.. I don't know sad also? Like he doesn't have too many friends to hang out with and just stays at home.
mzsmiley It could be anyone's phone. The interviews tell us that he doesn't own one, but I think he's going to have (or probably already have) to get a phone at some point in time. I'd like to see him get back to civilisation with a phone, haha. Anyway, I thought he does have a phone? remember the eppie where they build the houses? Oh thanks Sarangaia, I died all over again reading this. The flippers, oh the flippers. Hee hee. I believe Seung gi is really living out his lost childhood through this show. Alll the things he never got to do he wants to make up for it. And gosh darnit, he's going to use those flippers if it's the last thing he does! LOL. and thanks for the bit about him too. It does seem a little sad he doesn't seem to have much of a life outside work. If he was in a boyband he'd at least have his members, but that's not the case. Kinda makes me wonder how he relates with people his own age. Seems he's always with peopel older than him who treat him as junior. maybe thats why he comes off as such an innocent boy. He really hasn't experienced too much outside of his career.

I just watched the episode where the guys played the joke on the new PD. When KHD picked up the PD like he was going to toss him, I threw up my fruit punch! Came out through my nose even! And then KHD did it again HAHAHAHAHA!!! And then when KHD started beating his head on the table I laughed so hard I was like an upside down cockroach HAAAA!
The way the guys were planning it out in the car was SO mischievous, and then when they carried it out OMG!!!
The whole thing with the radio was really awesomely crafted I thought: LSG/LSGeun not being let in by security, then writing the signs to get in, and then KHD and the guys calling into the station --- that whole bit was awesome. The writers and PDs are so smart!

Sarang-unnie - Ahnyung! You are truly WOW with the translations. Sorry you've been stressed and all headachy lately. I wish we could just work for 1N2D and travel with the oppas and come up with great ideas for scenes and stuff. SIGH.

Bedifferent unnie! I now officially believe you are psychic. There's a lot of stuff bothering me now (ah, we have this really dumb system of bidding for our modules and it's really stressful when I still haven't gotten modules allocated to me when lectures are officially starting next week) but you are right, one of the main thing IS the male species! Except its my bosom buddy we're talking about here sending mixed signals, neither here nor there thing. Won't go into the gritty details I wonder if LSG actually has problems like this in his life. I'm really not sure about this. I'm still not at the stage where I can appreciate fully all the literary techniques and puns used in their conversations, sorry! Help again, eequeezee? Thanks!

Bedifferent, thanks for the latest pics. I am soooo thrilled and relieved to see Seung Gi back on track. Not sure what that stringy thing is, but dangg he loooks ggrrrrreat! Love the white on white and fitted trousers. So elegant and charming. The striped shirt looks good too. It just feels right you know? These clothes and this whole look just feels right and comfortable on him. He is afterall a "fashion star" so I'm glad he's got it going on again. Hope he keeps it up. I dont' know if anyones noticed, but I've been looking at his pics recently and I've realized he's matured compared to even 6 months ago. He just looks older to me now. Anyone get that feeling? During the days he was promoting the 3rd album I thought he looked a lot older than his real age, but it was all due to hair and clohthes. But recently I think he's matured as an individual and looks physically older. Our boy is really growing up and looking more and more like a young man now vs a boy. It's really an interesting time in his life.

Hmm, how are you dealing with the yt problem? At first I renamed some files but then I got lazy. At least because of the network "war" I didn't have a lot of sbs videos. I just hope I'm small fry enough that they don't report me I don't want to lose everything I collected already... Odd thing is even if you rename the videos, it's still searchable under your old title and description so it doesn't really help much.

Jumping back and forth between the years it's obvious his growth, but for those that followed since his debut, is it so obvious? Growing as he's growing?

o51029, thanks for the like to the concert. I am so happy to see him back on MBC. maybe SBS soon too? It's been really unfair to artists like Seung Gi to get caught up in politics. Hopefully we'll get to see him on SBS soon too. Was it just me or did he sounds a little shaky and flat in "Ill give yo my all"? He sounded a litle off to me. But I really enjoyed 'your my women' this time. I know lately, he's been singing a toned down version, but it's growing on me and this one was a nice mix of soft tones and had a bit of passion too. He sounded good and of course he looked great too. Love love how tall he looks. And my comments above about how he's aged wasn't meant to be a bad thing. I agree that for those that have followed him through the years, his growth has been a nice gradual pace. He's done a fanatastic job of growing up and maturing at just the right rate. No rush, no hurry, and best thing of all is that he has kept his naivety and innocence. How he does it I dont' know, but I'm inclined to believe he will always have a touch of that in him no matter how old he gets.

Dude, my heart almost skipped a beat when I found out surfing the net just now. OHHH NOOO! I hope Vanny took it well. OHMYGOSH! I just could not imagine not seeing her LSG videos on YT anymore. I've been using her vids as references for so long that she's like "coolsmurf" for me when it comes to LSG. That makes your or dindunz channel the few ones left with an extensive collection of LSG clips. Protect it, honey! I have quite a few of the old performances (both from her channel and from other independent sites) that I can upload. Actually, I have a lot of them. So it's only a matter of re-upload. But I'll hold off for now. And I have faith that Vanny saved a lot of these files.

I did a quick search on YT and found that YT did remove a lot of old SBS LSG clips, but not necessarily suspended all uploaders. Some SBS LSG perfs were still active. So I think they have not finished filtering. If I remember correctly, Vanny was very detailed in her title descriptions and tags. All those SBS Inkigayo and shows; her volume alone probably made her a standout. She also subbed some of those SBS talk shows. Yikes, a big no no in their eyes. Ohh, I think what you edit sometimes will not be active up until 6 hours later. Did you go back the next day and check to see if your vids infos were changed? It should. And dindunz, if you're reading this, I don't know if you also want to edit your videos, like this one (with SBS name still in the title): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGiSLnUpmG8.

OK, this is what I did. I removed all station names (whether it's MBC, SBS, KBS, Mnet..) and show title from both the video title and tags. I include them in the info section because I don't think that's how YT set up the search filter. I don't think it has the capability of searching the whole entry by the uploaders. So be as vague as possible and limit your tag. I'm leaning toward changing them to just LSG & date (i.e.: LSG 080801) I also set all SBS-perfs to private (removed them from sharing with the general public). The latest SBS interview (LSG childhood) has been set to private as well as Inkigayo, Music Space, etc... I like what you did with the Ulsan videos. Funnyyyy! And sad to see the word "embeesee" there. BTW, great job on that upload. It's great to see Seunggi so happy. Hmm, is this part of the Iljimae deal? He did sound shaky to me. No matter, I'm happy that he's back and can perform again on MBC. I mean why would you not want one of the highly visible and popular K-pop singers at the moment performing in your music shows. Duhh!! The only one that is not being smart (AT ALL) right now is that terrible SBS station. Don't even let me get started on the Olympic scandal thingy...

If is interested, eequeezee, sarangaia, ivey79, mzsmiley, dindunz, and any other that I have missed, can you send me a request to have you added as a friend on You Tube? Been busy this few days tying up the loose ends at work and preparing for school. Luckily lectures are getting pushed back a week for the freshies to matriculate so I'll have a week more free. Man, I don't want summer vacation to end, I just want to continue this simple existence of having fun, working and translating. But this is life.

WHAT?! They suspended Vanny's account?! I visit her channel regularly to watch all the LSG perfs and stuff, I feel so.. I don't know, aggrieved? Mad? Sad? Bummed? Its a combination of all that I guess. I hate all the crackdowns that is ongoing now, who doesn't? So many people have out there have put in so much effort for these videos, especially the subbed ones (I now understand how the subbing teams would feel if things got taken down, so much effort goes into it! Kudos to all subbers out there, and please do keep going!). Can't the TV stations just co-exist peacefully with us netizens? Its not like they don't get any perks out of this. Because everyone watches stuff online, their shows get more exposure, which leads to other tv stations from countries buying broadcasting rights from them. Now, why do they have to spoil this equation and make our lives miserable? Sigh. I feel bummed.

ivey79, love reading your comments on the boy as usual. Interesting thought there about how LSG's done a great job at growing up and maturing. I come in from the perspective of someone who's only got to know about him for 5/6 months, and to me, its just amazing how he's changed so much over short span of a few years. To someone else who's been following him over the years though, the change might not feel as dramatic, and will probably feel more subtle and gradual. Its interesting to see that people who have liked him for different periods of time seem to see different things in him, and thats one of the reasons why I like reading here.

I said I'd check out what LSG's new nickname in the marathon meant, and I asked my korean teacher. Apparently she doesn't know too. So i went over to the trusty ol' dictionary naver, and I realised one of the meaning that Yisoo (이수) has is to leave the water. Nam (남), I know, means man/boy/male. So I've arrived at the conclusion that the nickname is a sly dig at LSG's penchance for the water+flippers during the race for the MC clothes. I'm of course, not 100% sure if my interpretation is right, so feel free to correct me.

LSGeun's wife gave birth to a baby boy over the weekend. Congrats to him!!

Watched the marathon episode, and I felt like they must have run out of time over there after shooting the race for the jackets and the marathon, and weren't able to get any other footage. The episode seemed to end abruptly after the race, and then we spend a lot of time on the pairing up of the couples, which really should have been the beginning of the next episode... The race for the jackets was funny, but was it just me, or did it seem like LSG purposely dropped the jacket for LSGeun to eventually grab?

I'm halfway into translating episode 44 - and it's really special. I feel like I needed to add my own commentary, which is what I'm intending on doing when I post the translations. Bee-unnie, I'm doing my best to put placers in (like "captions over the guys walking," and stuff like that) so that the timing will be as easy for you as possible.

This week's 1N2D. The scene where LSG and EJW plays Wii is hilarious! It made me laugh over and over again, they were soooo serious playing the game! Here's the first part to this week's stuff.

We first get a refresher of last week's happenings. Then the real action kicks in.

[Meanwhile, the ones who have gotten the 1,000,000 allowance / Suguen.Mong combination]
LSGuen: Oh, there's something wrong with the aircon?
EJW laughs merrily at his plight.
[The car that has a malfunctioning aircon!]
LSGuen: Hey our aircon doesn't work!
EJW: Hahaha! Their aircon doesn't work! Really! hahahaha!
[But its impossible to send the aircon for repair now!]
MCM: Hyung, let's just hurry up and set off. I feel really not now!
[They will just set off]
LSGuen: We have to close all the windows.
MCM: Why?
LSGuen: Because of the noise..
[Because of the ambient noise]
[They have to close the windows...]
[But]
LSGuen: I really cannot tolerate it!
[Who cares about the filming / I have to survive first!]
LSGuen: Let's tell a long story! (as in like, lies, they mean tall story, i think)
MCM: SuGuen hyung, aren't you tired?!

Enter Jiwon's adios. He's the guy who did the rap in the second verse for jiwon.
[Without any notice]
EJW: Do you have any money on you? (note, Jiwon says this really really casually, which makes it really funny)
[Confused friend who hates recording/filming]
EJW: Do you see our tees? They're pretty aren't they?
[Goes to his friend's house without notice!]
[But its considerably late]
[They can't do as they please]
LSG: Its really late now, and my parents in. If not, my house is just across the street. Shall we just ask for help there? (meaning they can just pop over)
EJW: Your house? You left your house to come here?
[But seung gi's parents are home sleeping too]
LSG: I could go over to my house to ask for help..
EJW: We'll go to my house! My house! End of story!
[In this case, JiWon lives alone in his house?]
[They eat at their friend's house]
[They don't have enough bedding and pillows so Seung Gi goes to his house...]
[1N2D goes to Eun Ji Won's house]
