Here's my 'sad experience'.
One fine day, I went into my email and found 2 warning messages from YT about SBS-related clips. The next day or two, all of my uploads were GONE, Account FINITO. Even my hidden/private ones that were non-MBC/SBS/KBS. I didn't even add any new clips after the warning notes. All my clips were cuts, not full progs and only a handful were from SBS progs, majority were actually from KBS. Really no mercy from YT. And this morning, a YT account holder had all her 3 accounts wiped out in one swoop . . I suspect it's because she indicated the links to her other accounts in her comments, so the administrator probably read the comments and went thru the other accounts as well.

This is some sad news going on here. tiki_sq, I am so sorry to hear about your loss and to everyone else who's account has been shut. bedifferent, o51029, heather.. it must be a pain for you guys to have to rename everything. I completely understand where their coming from with the copyright laws, but on the otherhand is it really that necessary to be this stringent? Deleting cuts and even non related videos? It's us fans who support this whole pop culture! I can only imagine the frustration in losing something that means so much and have put so much effort in. Sunlight: I'm so glad that you were able to avert the suspension. Thanks for the tip. As of now, there's nothing I can do but to sit it out. My main concern is the "bedifferent" channel since I didn't save a few of those files. It would be almost next to impossible at this point to retrace and find those old clips again.

sarangaia: If you don't want to use CB, you might want to look for a recorder if streaming is a problem. It'd save you a lot of angst and time. Or just wait for DKYang. There's not a lot I can say about YT. I, like many, are holding out hope that boo's channel will be spared. Maybe she'll post the d/l link on her blog - LQ or not. I have faith that someone will resume 1N2D uploading in a few weeks.

BTW, MBC has just started its crackdown on Crunchy Roll for We Got Married vids. YT will be next for sure.

Bedifferent unnie, nice work there! Thanks so much! I still think that performance is really cute I don't really like to use CB since it takes such a long time, and it must be done with windows. Apparently CB only works on IE, and my mom hogs the PC so I'm forever on my mac. I'm wondering where to go watch this week's videos now to finish up the translating. Safari doesn't really support daum videos (they get stuck for some reason) and buffering takes forever on firefox. Pardon me for being such a noob, but what does a recorder do? I'm really hopeless with technology. Anyway, has anyone considered uploading the stuff on tudou? I watch ALL my licensed programs and programs that I can't find on youtube from there. Apparently crackdowns are non-existent there. Which isn't surprising, considering that its a china-based website. I think its an option that should be considered, looking at all the crackdowns that are taking place now. Btw, regarding this week's episode seeming to have lots of filler. I agree. The entire part with about them going their separate ways was very apparently a filler. It just didn't really serve any real purpose, funny as it was. The thing is KBS seems to have cancelled a few of its sunday lineups, and the longer episode this weeks was probably to serve as a temporary cover for those slots. Which actually makes economical sense since they'd probably want to cash in on the 6 guys popularity and milk them for their worth. I sound bitter don't I? I guess I'm still upset about KBS and SBS interfering with my 1N2D/LSG video watching.

Ivey unnie, I didn't spend the entire 4 hours on the translating, I admit I was distracted and did some surfing online as well as reading. I would have slept during the break if I could but the only bench I could find was the one in the garden. Which means only one thing, bugs. And since I wasn't armed with bug spray like LSG, I thought it'd be best not to sleep, hahaha. He's HILARIOUS with that bug spray. He even had EJW in stitches when he was doing his killer routine I agree that he's a diplomatic guy. He seems to always be doing the nice right thing. That's part of his charm I guess. The suit. Ah yes. Sometimes I think he should just live in them, he looks so good in formal wear! Then again, I will always change my mind since he carries off casual chic so well too. Heehee. A question. Those glasses that LSG loves to wear so much. Are they prescription or non-prescription glasses? Yea, its a dumb question but I'm curious. I mean, I'm always very intrigued when I see celebs wearing glasses, since I classify glasses as a non-accessory. Even with HDtv now, I don't think people can see if these celebs are wearing contact lenses or not, can they? (haha, this sounds like some CSI session)

Only a select few songs from the remake are there though, and you have to pay to get the full music sheets. The good thing is they offer you a one page preview that you can save or print, and they usually have different versions of the score for vocals, harmony, piano and band (as in jamming), and the scores are pretty faithful to the original song. That is really important to me. I hate improvised versions, since I'd rather do the improvising myself. You could also try the sheet music request thread on soompi. Or you could always run a search on kryahoo or daum to see if any kind souls have put up the full scores on their blogs. That's what I always do.

Thinking about how all this cracksown stuff is affecting the uploaders truly makes me feel sad. Plus, reading people's posts on various threads, I realize that a lot of people don't have KBS/MBC/SBS on their cable outlets, and that youtube/veoh/etc. were the primary ways in which they viewed these shows. I hope that a hundred htrucs come out of nowhere every week. For those that are not going to be able to enjoy 1N2D because it won't be uploaded online, I'm sorry. And then thinking about the possibility of the soompi-team's translated episodes (which KBS hasn't even bothered translating) getting attacked makes me angry. Thank goodness iheartm and boo's channels are still ok... And thinking about all the wonderful LSG vids possibly getting banished - it really is so infuriating. Gosh - this is really quite depressing. UGH.

pink-ki I felt sad too! Youtube works the best with my computer, and I was feeling like I'd lost a part of myself after heather's channel got suspended. I always rewatch the past episodes for fun. Luckily there's still youku. I've come to realise China websites are the best (for now). They never seem to get these copyright issues.

caroline I checked out HMV for you. His CDs have been sold out and I'm not sure if they will replenish them. Seems like HMV is importing less Kpop here these days, all I see on the racks is DBSK, no Lee Seung Gi. Grr. I checked with HMV though, and it appears that they do offer the service of importing CDs, so if you really want to you can order his CDs through them. Seriously though, I wouldn't recommend that. It'll be too expensive. I'd rather order through Yesasia.

Lunch break. Panini and gelato, yum… Thought I show up to post some thoughts about the show since the 1N2D thread is abuzzed with the rating dive this weekend. I watched it last nite courtesy of the folks over at café.daum.lsg. Perfect buffering, crystal clear pictures. Hooray.

First off, SeungGi was soooo cute this week. Love the preppy look, his B&W striped sweater really pops on screen. I like his watch. Overall the episode was alright. Can't wait to see the translated one though. It combines a lot of elements in past episodes. I can see how some viewers would be not as impressed; reharsh things repeatedly could be tiresome. Maybe they’re expect something new or special given that it's a Chuseok weekend - many shows were doing their own specials. There was also a 2-hour long special that aired already right? Interesting and ambitious programming by KBS. I think KBS may have put too much expectations and responsibilities on 1N2D's shoulder. One show could not possibly save the whole network, you know. Like you’ve said, sarangaia, maybe the station is depending on 1N2D to rescue and fill in the spot for its cancelled shows. Shifting it around in time slots and changing its length is a tricky move. Is it a smart move? It feels similar to what the stations would do to its successful dramas - how they often extend (add on more episodes) toward the end. Like some 16-eps shows would become 20-eps. The result is not always positive.

I think once a show is deemed a commercial success, it becomes more of a challenge to fulfill audience expectations. Hmm, it's hard to put a finger on what exactly feel different for me when I watch 1N2D lately. Is it because the storylines are a bit more mundane, less "heart" than before? For me, the show really is at its best when the cast meets and interacts with ordinary citizens. It shines when it incorporates these mini human interest stories into its plots. That was its charm. That was what differentiated it from the rest of the game/variety shows. It just feels slightly more "planned" lately, especially with the previous episode where HoDong gets separated from the group. The six guys are still adorable and funny but I do miss the sweetness that was 1N2D. eequeezee: I’m glad that we have a chance to work on translating the older episodes. Some of those were classic. The directing was skilled, the writing/editing were sharp and the boys were just absolutely lovable. Overall, I think the show just needs more fresh ideas instead of relying on past successful elements. Also stop dragging it out to be more than 1 hour long if it does not need to be. More sometimes may not mean better. Other than that, I still like it a lot. I'm hoping that it will be a great episode come this weekend. Sorry for being so critical here guys.

P.S.: Good luck on your exams, sarangaia and juliapenn. For me, it’s anatomy class next. Hmm, not a good sequencing of things. Cadaver post lunch?

With school and everything starting up I can see it's been a little quieter in here than previous, but still thank you everyone who's kept up with news, pics, and persistance in uploading vids. Still very very bitter towads losing all those channels. I'm anxiously waiting to see who's next. Not a good feeling I tell you, and I'm not even the one doing all the work. When I saw Starlite's youtube still up I was sooo excited.

This weeks ep... yeah I agree with you Bedifferent. I can see the critiquer in you sliding back in. It's been positive in here for so long but when somethings not quite right it needs to be pointed out and discussed. 1n2d isn't quite the same show anymore. Change is inevitable, especially with their popularity, but I wasnt' quite expecting the shows overall flow to change like this. It sort of snuck up on us. for the longest time I had this feeling of waiting for it to go back to "normal" and I dont even know how many eps ago that was. But the one great thing is that the members in the show have not changed and have only gotten closer. To devote yourself to a show like this for such a lengthy perioud of time and still stay motivated and fresh is really hard. It's great these guys are still maintaining their chemistry. Which is what the show is relying on. This weeks ep will definitely be better for me when i actually understand it. Lots of talking. The ending bit was pretty funny though. It just cracks me up to see Seung Gi trying to do gag comedy! And yes, he looked darn cute in his preppy outfit. So out of place, but so cute! Like some ivy league college student out with the locals. hee hee.

b & ivey unnie, you guys just brought up what I felt for the past two episodes. Too much blatant scripting, too much dragging out for fillers and too little of that spontaneous interaction we saw in the past. And you are right, the problem is that they might be trying too hard to meet our expectations, now that the show is so popular. Its a common problem with variety shows. After a while the successful formula just doesn't feel fresh anymore (obvious example, think WGM), but we as viewers are not really prepared to watch something new come on to the show just as yet. Its a fine line that the PDs and editors have to thread on carefully, one mistake and we'll see a repeat of this week's rating slide. What keeps me watching the show, is really the 6 guys on the show. The jokes, bantering, one-liners and general crazy moments. And LSG of course Let's just hope they do better next week.

I realise that LSG is really becoming more and more chatty on 1N2D as compared to the initial episodes where he was actually rather quiet. Which isn't a bad thing since he has a tendency to say stuff that gets far removed from its context. That's where we get all his adorkable jokes.

Before I get off to do more studying, I thought I'd share a one liner from LSG in 1N2D this week that I just LOVED. When they reached their destination (uh, the place with the tree), the PD was telling them that they had to sleep without shelter in the wild and KHD replied that they honestly couldn't sleep there, not even with a tent. The cruel PD said "Hey but you guys slept in the snow during winter" (think of those crazy and insane winter days during the early episodes when LSG and MCM just joined). Then comes the highlight.
LSG: But no, Director, have you slept there (in the snow during winter) before?
PD: No.
LSG: If you haven't slept like that before, then don't even say anything!
LOL!!!!!~~ I was laughing myself crazy when I heard this. It sounds quite bad in english (I mean, what he said can be translated into like 'hey shut up if you don't know what you are talking about'), but when he was actually saying it in korean, he used the polite (honorific) form while talking. Which made it all the more funny, he sounded like a good kid trying to be rebellious. At least to me he did^^

All right. Off to study. Social psych exam coming up in 6 hours.

I personally feel this week's 1D2N is quite funny, but I don't think it's a so-called 'special' episode as I can't see anything very special. Anyway, I really hope KBS will come up with some solutions so that 1D2N will hv a better viewing rate next week.

I hope all is well with everyone. It's only been a few weeks since school started, but goodness, I am really feeling burned out from everything... UGH. Is this what they refer to as senioritis? Any advice to hep battle this? because I'm coming down/have come down with it pretty bad...

As for 1N2D, a couple of things:
First, I watched the latest "filler-filled" episode. The two episodes (that make up the one year anniversary trip) would have been much better without the "HoDong splitting from the rest of the guys" storyline. The best thing about that was that it proved that the show really is nothing without KHD as the main MC. The 5 guys and MCM's manager were all tough to like, and their behavior was out of their character. IF this storyline was taken out, the two episodes would have been so much better.
The game they played to see who had to wake up at 2:30am to go cast the fishlines would have been fine, except the game became bad after LSG dropped his glass (I don't think it was on purpose). The PD said that if someone gets a salt drink and drinks it, then LSG has to go in place of that person. WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST REPLACE THE DRINK AND HAVE LSG DRINK IT? OR JUST SAY LSG HAD TO GO SINCE HE DROPPED HIS DRINK?
I love the boat outing at 2:30am to cast nets at high tide, and the ladies joining the gang to gather up fish and then the guys playing around in the mud was great. The guys being carried out by the staff to be woken up was funny - especially the part where HoDong puts up the fight. The reason they were carried out was because they couldn't blare out the wake up song in that area --- they should have made it clear.

Yes I agree that the producers and writers have been slipping a bit, but overall, the show has lost a little steam in my opinion MAINLY because of the cast. The guys have all become so much more successful on account of the show, and they've all become A LOT BUSIER with other things because of it, so whereas it used to be clear that the guys gave everything into the show, I don't get the same feeling lately... I haven't felt their closeness since the bunjee jump trip...

AS FOR THE RATINGS FIASCO - I think it's clear that KBS scheduled the show poorly. A lot of the people that watch WGM and FO tune into 1N2D after those shows are done, and whereas the other shows promoted their shows as a special, 1N2D didn't. I fully expect the rating to get back up to speed next week. If not, then

I read the Korean line in the pic that Caroline posted --- and this "if you haven't...then don't say anything!" line is a line that Kim ByeongMan has made famous. KBM is one of LSGeun's best friends (you've heard LSGeun use that line on the show as well right?), and a regular on GAG CONCERT. KBM is the original "MASTER" - the character KimC likes to play. Here's one of the funniest "MASTER" skits.

Especially his remake album <33 I think I should buy it!

Sarangaia, thanks for that one liner. I can totally imgaine the kid saying that in a respectfull way. For whatever reason, Seung Gi has the most charming way of saying bad things without making them sound bad or rude. How do you get made at a smile like that right? Too funny. Juliapenn and Sunlight, thanks for the clip and caps of the special. I actually didnt know it was in two parts this week and waht a pleasant surprise to see more Seung Gi cuteness. when I watched the orginal ep I was thinking he was reading his school books and yep he was! What a good boy to make use of his time like that (Eequeezee does that motivate you a little? But really there's no cure for Senioritis, I had it bad too). Cutest thing ever seeing him kick his feet while singing to the song just like a little kid and then to see him stick his butt up to the camara! LOL I'm gonna dl this ep as soon as I get home. Thanks for making my day!!

And ratings fiasco or not, I really hope this is not a continued trend in poor planning. I've loved this show for so long, but too be honest I've been wondering for a while how long they can keep this up. The cast and crew of the show. We can only imagine the fatgue filming a show that requires this amount of time and energy dedication can take on a person mentally as well as physically. Plus dont' forget the freshness factor. A year is a long to be out camping in the woods every other weekend. Can they think of any more new ideas that's suitable for the show. Like Eequeezee said, the cast isnt' as into it as they use to be and I had to think that they have to resort to doing something even half way looking it's "forced". Ah well, whatever happens will happen, as long as I get my fix of Seung Gi cuteness and he is still doing a great job of being that still, thank goodness.
