New pictures. I have decided that I shall overlook the curls and focus on that cute dimple, since he doesn't seem to be headed to the shears of the hairdresser anytime soon. Thank god that the tie this time round is not as hideous as the other two from past week. The outfit isn't spectacular or extraordinary, but I really appreciate the simplicity, in light of the many fashion disasters we've seen this month. Jyung Sang University performance. Another passable outfit. Not too fond of the long jacket, but I think it looks okay as a whole. Its fall there in Korea now, isn't it? I'm not sure how differently people dress for fall and winter (since I don't experience the 4 seasons, we only have summer, summer and sometimes rain) but the look feels kinda winter-ish to me. For old times sake, MKMF red carpet 2006. He didn't really have eyebags then. If you look at the recent pictures, the eyebags are really big. Please get enough rest! I guess his schedule these days must be quite punishing. Anyway, I still think straight hair is better. Miss this thread and you guys. So watzup everyone? Can I just get off track a bit and ramble on a couple of stuffs. First, I was sooo happy to hear that Goo Hye Sun is Makino in Boys Over Flowers. I know she is older than the part requires. Heck, she's like a senior compare to the F4 guys. But I love her. I do think that she has that hidden spunk that Makino has. Her eyes are so expressive when needed to be. I cannot really judge her acting abilities since I barely saw anything that she was in. I didn't watch Chil Woo (gasp). Hopefully she will do justice to the character. Makino is perhaps one of my favorit-est heroines. Am still sad that Seung Gi and she did not work out. Hahaha.

Secondly. Rain. Uh, Rainism to be exact. Okie, I'm not a Rain yay or naysayer. I think he has good vocal and excellent dance/athletic moves. Is an OK actor. BUT this MV is ??? I missed the point. Was there a point? The lyrics - Hmm, eloise, I won't send you this one to translate. Overall, I'm glad that Rain has an audience for his work. To each to his own I guess. Good for him.

Oh I remember seeing the "Sakjae" MV the first time. I love that MV. I was intrigued right away seeing Cho Seihon name on the front credits. He does not photograph as often anymore, so I knew that the MV was something special. And I know that LSG has good taste right away, hehehe. I really like how the photographs were used to tell the story.

BTW, I just saw a long televised MBC clip (081021-some Autumn Concert) of LSG performing in the rain - Unfinished Story/You In My Memories/Just Once More/Because You're My Woman. By any chance, do you see an .avi file for that? I like the fact that his voice now has some roughness and depth to it. Not as breathy as before, a bit more manly now that I think of it. Hair is so long. o_O

Sunlight: I don't think LSG musical works were as stellar as some other artists this year. It's OK. Something for him to shoot for next year. Last year, his win was a surprise. I'd be surprised if he was nominated this year.

Ok, me go and try to sub a LSG oldie. I like this one a lot.

^ Gorgeous gorgeous! I don't mind the hair so much because to me the hair style above is for professional photography. I especially love those close ups of the face. But if he were to style his hair like that for everyday street style, that I would probably have issues with . Really though, as long as its not that super-coifed poofy curly (and what I call Kim Jong Kook-style) hair, its fine w/ me. I have to say that he looked uber-cute w/ slightly curled damp hair in the wake-up song video, toothbrush in mouth.

Oh dang, those photos literally took my breath away. He looks wonderful! Love the messy yet fresh and clean feel. Bedifferent this guy/girl is a fabulous photog. He was able to capture the essenceof seung gi so well. Love the one where his head is tilted and slightly smiling, but somehow he captured his dimples perfectly. It as so beautiful he almost looked like a girl. LOVE. These have got to be my favorite pro photos of him. As much as I want him to have a hair cut, it does work well for creativity in fashion shoots. And it looks hella good in a la wet look =) Agreed o51029, toothbrush in mouth and wet curls is cute.

This last ep of 1n2d was interesting. I just had to laugh at how seriously SeungGi was taking the quiz game. I mean, he really studied and took notes! He's a nerd at heart, what can you say and a know it all at that too. Hee hee. Just loved how the ohers refused to let him answer every time he's that "ooh ooh ooh mee me me, I know!" look. Cracks me up. But is it just me or has it been recently, his vibe and chemistry with others seems a bit different now. I've sensed a change in him definitely compared to the old days of the show and I definitely see a change in the way the other guys treat him too. They treat him less like a little brother and more as one of the other guys. Which means free game for abuse and joking. He's also been less polite with them too and more bold with his actions and words. Like a few eps ago with the comments he made to MC Mong which resulted in a swift kick to the rear. And even for instance in the ep when he was trying to find a place to sleep and instead of politely trying to get Su Guen to move, he kind of nudged/kicked him with his foot. Wonder if the ultra polite Seung Gi would have done that before. probbly not. If that previous article was talking about how Seung Gi's image and interests are changing, I can see how that would be just from watching him week to week on this show.

ivey79, Mr. Cho Seihon is well-known for his social activism on behalf of children and women when he is not behind the camera. His specialty is portrait photography and photojournalism. The photos are often devoid of props. They are simple; just the subject and a plain background. Yet he is so good at capturing the essence and spirit of the persons/objects that he photographed. What I like is that his photos emote so much. You can really connect with the subjects. There's always something in the gaze. He did photograph Seung Gi on several occasions:

I agree. There's a discernable change in LSG. We'll just hope that he'll be able to retain the charm that we all love. No, he's no longer naive like before. I'm in the process of timing E27 (the first LSG episode) and I can totally say that he has changed. More matured and confident now. I think he's able to roll with the guys now. Less of a push-over I think. I do miss the insecured and awkward LSG.

It's been a while - I've been crammed with school, sports, college apps, and of course, translating 1N2D... And with the show's recent slide in ratings, I've been spending way more time over at that thread... AND my mom's been a little concerned with me spending too much time in soompi...

ANYHOO --- just wanted to comment on LSG's "change".

ivey-unnee (HI!) - the kick in the back by MCM wasn't in any way on account of smart-allickyness (sp?/word?). He definitely isn't the same since he came on --- I think it's a combination of getting comfortable with everyone on the show, but beyond that, I think he's becoming his own MAN, and developing a more SUAVE image.

Separately, I think a lot (not all) of the HUH-DANG character was just that - a character (LSG was playing). You're seeing LSG take on shades of a different personality on the show --- one where he get mad quickly (this character was NICELY paired with EJW's ChoDing character in the friendship trip episodes). Not sure where the show is taking LSG's character exactly (still think it's kind of in limbo), but the HuhDang-ness seems to be gone (or not as prominent). Okay enough deconstructing for now.

I miss the shy and bashful LSG too, but I'm still okay with every single thing about him --- even his STUFFY clothes and the baby SangGeun he's wearing on his head at the moment... Now THAT'S love!

Let's hope his music grows along with him...

Woah. Been MIA this week, busy enjoying. My friends are hilarious, they bought me the face roller LSG used to have on 1N2D for my birthday, it mademe laugh out loud, especially since they drew a portrait of the boy on my card too, LOL~

이승기는 25일 방송된 KBS 2TV ‘연예가중계’에서 “결혼은 32세 때 하고 싶다”며 “아이는 3명 낳고 싶은데, 아들 둘에 딸 하나였으면 좋겠다”고 깜짝 결혼 계획을 털어놨다.

이승기가 결혼 계획을 밝히게 된 것은 리포터의 짖궂은 질문에 말려들었기 때문. 이승기는 질문에 답하면서도 “아직 연애도 제대로 못 해 봤는데… 벌써 자녀계획이요? 아직 23살 밖에 안 된 청춘인데...”라며 당황한 기색을 보여 웃음을 줬다.

한편 이 날 이승기는 염정아 지진희와 함께 아기천사들과 사랑을 전하는 사진을 촬영했다.

Caroline, bedifferent, thanks for the caps and the new pics. If I haven't mentioned already before, I'll mention it again, wet curls is LOVE. Can't get enough. =) Now, the funky hat and brown/orange, plaid jacket.... I'll just pretend I didn't see it.

Sunlight, great job on your very first subs! Good performance to pick to do. He sounded great and teh stage was really unique with the lighting all. I particularly thought he looked enduring during this performance. something about his expression and how young and innocent he looked in the black suit. And I really really enjoyed Vanny's vid. That was a wonderful idea to put together the originals with Seung Gi's version. I've always been curious about the original female version and after hearing them all, I can now fully appreciate what a good job Seung Gi did. Not only was he able to reach the range, but he really brought his own flair to the songs. In my opinion he made some of them sound a lot smoother and more pasionate. In Hope and Desire's case, I loved how he simplified the instrumental and made the song sound more pure and emotional. That was truly and awesome album and good example of how great he can be.

Sarangaia, will look forward to your translations. He looks so cute holding the baby. New photo shoot? Commercial? Charity work? Whatever it is I want to see more of it =)

And regarding my comments before about his change. Maybe I sounded a little harsh or negative. Cause don't get me wrong, I still love the guy to death, but maybe it's just that I'm one of those folks that doesn't do well with change. Yes, Seung Gi is growing up and as much as we all love him as the cute, naive, awkward, super polite kid, he's not going to be this way forever. But I just can't help but have this nagging feelilng of unease. Something Ho Dong said in one of the past eps keeps ringing in my ear. I can't remember which ep exactly, but it was one where Seung Gi was driving and they were having a conversation about how he was worried he would run out of his popularity someday. And Ho Dong said something along the lines that that shouldn't be a problem as long as he doesn't outgrow his personality. Wether it's him maturing and gaining confidence, getting more confortable with the guys, or showing more of his true self, it seems for certain that we are seeing a change in Seung Gi. I guess I'm just worried about how the audience is going to see/percieve him. I'm worried he'll lose fans that grew to love him for the huh dang, shy kid he was, worried he might gain antis, worried that what Ho Dong said might come to be. I guess I'm just voicing my concerns and no body else may be feeling these at all. But since I consider this a really great forum to share my thoughts, I'm doing just that.

Well, thanks for listening everyone. Eequeezee, top_seungri, pink-ki, and all others who are in school, keep up the hard work. School comes first, but I'm glad you guys still have time to come in and share the latest on Seung Gi or just to rant and rave.

Yay yay yay.... I love those pictures. Vanny & Sunlight: thank you so much for the Entertainment Relay piece. I'm going to take a guess here. This is Cho Seihon's shoot for this year's "Letters from Angels" project. It should be the 6th installment of this campaign to raise awareness and support of domestic adoptions. It usually comes out around the beginning of December - holiday time. So guys, be on the look out for those fantastic pictures. They should be coming out soon. sarangaia, it's time to replace your avatar. hehehe. Seung Gi looked adorable in them. He has a hair cut! The perm has calmed down and he looks pretty good there. He's such a natural with babies. Some men would hold these precious packages like they're holding a football. Ha. He looks happy and rested there too. Love the natural color palette of the whole clip. BTW, he's really matured to have thought about family at this age. Some guys can't even think beyond the dating scene. pink-ki: you're funny!!

Vanny: OMG, I love your Remake duet. How on earth did you find those songs? I believe you, you probably had to move mountains to find those oldies. I couldn't believe that you found "Confession". It must have taken a lot of time and effort. Thank you. Can't wait to see part 2. Oh, yeah, Remake #1 rocks - in range, depth and quality. That album produced so many hits. Seung Gi did a good job at finding the right songs to fit his vocal. I know that eequeezee prefers Remake #2 cause #1 was basically of songs by female. I actually like ballads sung by male singers, especially love songs. It's just a personal preference. So I love LSG version more than the original. What Seung Gi did with the songs were to make them his own. He lowered the tone and gave the songs some consistency. His voice was really lovely back then. I'm always fond of Desire and Hope. It's one of the best love songs that I've ever heard. In any language.

Oh yeah, I've subbed "The Never Ending Story" - always hold a special place in my heart, this one does. It's a sweet little song. He nailed the performance. I think I was hooked into hearing LSG music after I saw this one on Vanny's YT channel.

Hi guys! OMG, I'd finally finished my translations and my mac died on my before I posted it up! UPSET. I have no idea if its dead for good or it'llbe revived at the hands of the technician. I guess I just have to wait.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! It made me happy despite my mac failing me. Haven't even got the chance to watch this week's one yet, sigh. I hope everything will be ok, or I'll really go insane!

Anyway, with regards to the article I've posted, LSG says he wants to get married at around 32, and wants to have 3 kids, 2 boys, 1 girls (any takers? I'm sure there are many!) but he hasn't had the opportunity to date as of yet (probably due to his punishing schedule).

That's it for now, gotta run. School is MAD, mad, mad and it looks set to stay this way for these few weeks. Especially with my computer down. See you guys here again soon!

Bad news!!! Same as sarangaia above. My portable hard drive stopped working. I can't retrieve the drive on my computer despite many attempts. That means many many many GBs of LSG and 1N2D are stuck in that 250GB piece. Arghhhhh. I didn't back up the back up. There are only so much that are stored on my laptop. Majority of all that I have could possibly be lost. Thank god all subbed 1N2D are in MU. Darn it. I miss my music!!!!

Pictures from comedian 이병진's wedding (sorry, me don't know who he is). Can't seem to thumbnail my pics without having the viewers see my whole account. Hmm, not sure why. Much better, clothes are a bit old for him - but appropriate for the occasion. dindunz, those pics are not the most flattering. I think the clothes are horrendous in those, making the guy aged x many years. Why would a 21 year old guy wear something like that? Stylist?
