Hehe, I personally think that Seungki looks a lot like Shinhwa's Andy. Probably not a lot a lot, to the point that they would be mistaken as brothers, but certainly there are some similarities, especially their lips and nose.

*LSG calls Dae Ju 대주 작가님, which I found pretty funny. 작가 (Chak ka) means scriptwriter, and 님 (nim) is an honorific affixer for names and positions and what not. The two of them look close in terms of age, so I find it rather cute that he chooses to address him Dae Ju so formally. I mean, he calls the other older guys hyung but addresses Dae Ju so formally, haha.

DJ: I don't know how to either...
[Of all things, his cooking ability amounts to zero...]
LSG: Is this correct?
DJ: I'll go ask around, and I'll tell you two minutes later.
LSG: 2 minutes?
[He promises to give the details in 2 minutes]
LSG: Are you sure, 2 minutes?
DJ: Yea, just 2 minutes.

sarangaia: thank you for the translation. I really really like E98 now that I understood part of it. You're right. It may go down as one of the more memorable episode. I'm quite sure I will remember this one.

Vanny: thank you for the update on his album. That's too bad, I was looking forward to vol.4. Well, it's not really possible given what he has going at the moment to release one album by summer. But not until next year is a disappointment. He would have been out of the music circuit for 2 years then if that happens. I wonder if his music will change with the next one. I wonder if his voice will stay the same.

From the article, I seriously don't think Seunggi would have lasted filming Iljimae and 1N2D at the same time. It seems obviously demanding and rigorous. I still have very ambivalent feeling about that one opportunity that Seunggi let passed. I understand the plusses that 1n2d has given him till now. The exposure, the popularity, the life experience, the life-long friendships... just overall, the opportunity to grow as a person. Still, if he has taken the Iljimae role, it might have given him a lot more in term of acting experience, exposure into the industry... He might even be a different type of an actor. I understand that he is the leading actor in LIB; but the two dramas are totally not the same. I'm afraid that I'm one of a few who think that Seunggi will outgrow 1n2d before the show does end. Not that i don't like the show or wish Seunggi all the best in the world.

Even though it's a long way off, I'm excited about another album! I've been listening to the Vol. 1 Remake album a lot the past 2 days. For a while, I thought it was ok, with a few good songs, but something clicked recently and I'm really enjoying listening to it. I'll be picking up official copies of his first two albums at the Korean bookstore this weekend! I had to special order them.

Singer, Lee Seon-hee appears on Golden Fishery.

During the shooting, she talked about her life as a singer the past 25 years, her alleged retirement, and her comeback after 4 years.

During the shooting on that day, her special hoobae (junior), Lee Seung Gi, made a surprised visit to the shooting location to specifically give her support. Apparently LSG was filming in the neighborhood and dropped by during an opening in his shooting schedule.

Lee Seon-hee is now busy preparing for her concert which will be held on April 1st. During the concert her repertoire will include playing the guitar as she performs songs from her new album. She will also perform Girls Generation’s Gee and Wonder Girls’ Nobody, complete with the dance routine as well.

Because I've been hunting high and low for them, even got people to go korea to find it for me, but no one has been able to find it! They keep telling me its out of print. Where did you get them and how much did you get them for?

B unnie, I heard baq oppa's team is going to sub the drama? I'll be more than willing to join after my exams, but I don't think I can handle the korean translations for an entire episode. I can do chinese translations though. Doing one whole episode of 1N2D this week made me realise I have a long way to go, one year of korean under my belt is simply not enough. Guys, let me see what i can do with the hardsub. LIB has been picked up by a new sub group but i don't really know if they will continue with the project for sure. Right now, yes; but then again, if they don't have enough staff by then, they may drop the project. Uhhh, for now, I believe I am the editor for the project. But I reserve the right to edit with my ears and eyes closed if the drama goes south.

Rachel: wow, you are able to get your hands on his 1st and 2nd albums. Even though you have to order them, it's quite rare to get the 1st album since it has been out of print for a while now. Maybe his management team has agreed to have another record company reprint more. Hmm. I'm glad for you.

So you like When a Man Loves A Woman #1, eh? Any particular reason or song? I've always thought Remake 1 is superior than 2 in the song choices. The songs were more personalized and the producers made a more conscious decision of showcasing his vocal talent. Remake #2 felt quite rushed and does not seem to have as much care. I understand the reasons why of course.

I'm not sure if I was clear in my previous post. I'll just explore it again. I remember about 1 year ago when we first heard about LSGi joining 1N2D. At that time, I didn't really think much about it; knowing very little about the show then. Decide to catch it and realized that it is indeed a very good show. Unlike many other variety shows out there in its attempt to go beyond the purpose of entertaining and just settled at making the viewers laugh. I don't think that the show is perfect. I remember a short period last year that 1N2D was so uneven and lost that I even thought of stop watching it altogether. Then it braced it self, got over the hump, and became pretty solid ever since. I don't think that every episode is great; but I'm glad that there are so-so ones so that you can appreciate the good ones. What I'm saying is that 1N2D is a good show because its quality is pretty consistent; not too many highs or too many lows. I have to admit that I adore the Viewers trip special. I thought that it was the most charming thing ever. hehe.

uhhh, back to LSGi. haha. I think LSGi has matured quite a bit during the year that passed. As a person, he retains a lot of the quality that we all like. But he did become his own man. Gaining more confidence and forming his own character, either from being on the show or not. I think it is perfectly fine to have opinions on LSGi's personal growth whether they are positive or slightly negative. I also think that it is good to give the guy some space for making mistakes. Not everyone is perfect and he is entitled to have his own trials in life. In a way, I'm glad that he is lucky enough to be around positive role models. That's one thing that I'm thankful about 1N2D. But, I do think a part of me do feel that he is becoming more mainstream. Perhaps less inclined to take risks. There is nothing wrong with popularity IF he is able to retain his unique identity. Not for the sake of extending his popularity, but to keep it real you know.

So I was talking about Iljimae. I'm slightly wistful when I posted that. haha. Ok, here is my point. I don't believe that LSGi would have been able to juggle both Iljimae and 1N2D. His management team and he made the decision to stay with 1N2D. For obvious reasons; one could be because it is a safer alternative. And one to safeguard his popularity status. Iljimae was quite risky back then. There has already been another series out, the production has a lot of delays and the drama did not have a good vibe at the start. So I think the decision seems sound. Looking back, with the benefit of hindsight, I felt that, if LSGi has gone with the Iljimae role, he might have been a different type of an actor. Becase of the type and opportunity that Iljimae now has given to his replacement, Jung Il-woo. I know that all these are speculations. In a way, it is good to speculate the possibility of a different LSGi other than the Huh-dang that we know now, eh? I do understand that my comments are only about the what-might-have-been acting experience that LSGi missed. Obviously, if he has chosen Iljimae, LSGi may have gained experience as an actor, but would have lost out all on the things that he learned on 1N2D. He would not have been able to experience life, form new friends, enjoy traveling... be able to be more than a singer and actor.

Perhaps the choice that LSGi made a year ago to stay on 1N2D was one that is made with the best intention for only the present. Not necessarily for his long term future and needs. Some may say that the choice was too safe. It does not take into account what Seunggi's capable of. Some may also think that it is not in line with the LSGi singer that we knew. One that would take risks, challenges and stay true to his originality. I agree with those points. I think as an artist, a singer or actor, you would have to chose quality over popularity. I don't know how long he should stay on 1N2D. Personally, I don't think that he should choose acting projects to accomodate 1N2D shooting schedule. I know his tie to 1N2D is personal and I'd totally love it if he can stay on the show for4ever. But if he is ruling out great acting projects because of that requirement then it would be really ashamed. I would also like to think that Seunggi is looking more for roles that challenge him and appeal to him more than what is suited for his current status as a visible K-celebrity. I would love it if he can tackle appealing projects even if they are not deemed "safe" or in line with his present nice guy image. Something to show that he is thinking about the possibility of a future as an artist. At least to be taken seriously as an actor. Obviously, Seunggi is quite young so I'm crossing my fingers that he will surprise us with the next career move. Whatever he does in the future, please please please, he has to do something about his stylist. Sigh.

Yes, those are the ones! They were $19 each, plus tax of course. When I went yesterday, they only had received Crazy For You. So, still waiting on Dream Of A Moth. The girl told me they also had a couple of his other albums in, Story of Separation and Vol. 2 Remake. I didn't have an official copy of Story of Separation, so I bought it. I'm easily persuaded.

I don't know if there's a particular reason. Sometimes, depending on things, my perception changes. Not sure how to fully explain it. I also have been watching more live LSG clips. Live performances often change my mind. If an artist sounds horrible live, then I move on.
I'll have to listen to the Vol. 2 remake again and see which I like better. Maybe I love that one because it was the first album of his that I bought??

My favorite tracks on the Vol.1 Remake are: Please, [In You, There's Me], Just One More Time (man, this song is my happy pill LOL), Adio, Tears, and My Only Thing (?). So, quite a few.
