When the dermatology department and the plastic surgery department of a certain hospital asked job-seeking patients the question 'Which male celebrity do you want to look like most?', many responded by saying Lee Seung Gi. The director of the departments explained "Some reasons why Lee Seung Gi was chosen was that he has very bright eyes, a round nose tip, lips that are neither too full or too thin, and/or he seems to be an intelligent person, but still personable."

After being cast in the drama Brilliant Inheritance, it seems he has been receiving a lot of love and his return to acting has been rather successful. It's great that he's doing well and all, but Seung Gi, when are you returning to singing? Your melodious voice is needed in this age of never-ending idol groups.


I hope this doesn't mean that all the males are going to be churning out the perm though, it'll be more than my eyes can take. Lee Min Ho and Lee Seung Gi are enough for me. I'd much rather look at Girls' Generation in sailor suits any day.

my own opinion: it's not surprising that others would want to look like him... Seung Gi has brains & looks. He complete his university just like any ordinary students and juggle his time with other entertainment projects. Which parent/child wouldn't want to be like him... He may not be very handsome, but his looks is the type mummy would like to have as son/son-in-law... .. He is a mummy/noona/grandma/high school students 'killer'...

Thank you yon and pink-ki for the clip and article. It seems he's been gaining even more popularity and love lately with the incredible success of Brilliant Legacy. So happy for him I'm curious to see how far the ratings will go by the end. I'm really loving the way he's portraing his character. It's your fave Korean drama bad boy with a heart role, but somehow Seung Gi's making it his own. His straightforward, non-apologetic way of portraying the bad tempered, emotionally stilted Hwan is really interesting. It's also amazing becuase Seung Gi is doing such a great job that I am actually COMPLETELY forgetting about the real Seung Gi when I watch, I only see the man Hwan. Gosh this role really suits him to a tee.

yumei86 ah...maybe because of the age gap(oops...am i disclosing my age? ), i treat Seung Gi as a dongsaeng(so he is never 'hot' in my mind, but a cute young boy..... ..... he is like a younger brother i want to dote on.... sometimes when watching 1N2D, i felt like going Korea and then buy all the food for him...let him eat it when he lose the game(*touchwood) and can't take proper meal .... or when they have to sell things to raise fund for their trip/meal, i will fork out 50,000won without hesitation. ...

the reason why i like him is because he is a disciplined person... Look at him, he has his degree already....in 1N2D, he is always the 1st to wake up and doesn't laze on the mattress/sleeping bag.... he always make sure he wash his hair and face every day(even during winter time)... He is the youngest, but he show more discipline than his hyeong(older brothers)

I bought his cds many years ago before i watched 7Princesses. i didn't know the singer Lee Seung Gi is the actor in 7princesses.. (because i buy cds for the songs and not the singer...so i didn't think that he is the singer when i watched the drama)

Watching 1N2D on TV, sometimes i was like asking, when are you(LSG) going to start acting again? i want to see him in a drama... but at the same time, the question of is he going to leave temporary from 1N2D if he acts in a drama? I don't want....! And we are lucky that his agency, KBS & SBS is doing a good job to ensure that he has time for each of the project.....

Like you gals, Lee Seung Gi in 1N2D and Seon Woo Hwan in Brilliant Legacy is so different.....i don't see LSG in Woo Hwan at all....

be similar to his previous ballads but then again I saw the word "rap"

Wow, thank you everyone for the links, pics and info. I was soooo surprised today to hear that Seung Gi has a digital single out. This truly is fan service. New music is yah! I have not heard it yet, but from the feedback it seems good. And he's looking great in those ad shots too. Really quite sweet and refreshing, especially sitting atop that round swing thing. Seung Gi's image is just like this. Clean and refreshing. And I absolute love and miss his sweet smile. After watching 16 eps of Briliant Legacy, seeing Hwan smirk, grimace, angsty, and looking annoyed, I almost forgot what his dimple looked like. Luckily it's still there and looking as sweet as ever. Looking forward to live performances and as always my favorite, seeing what he's going to wear.

ok quick edit. I am loving this song!! No I adore it. It's perfect! It's light and happy, and very romantic. I love the tempo and the beat and in particular the way he sings it. He even sounds sweet singing it. It seems to me a little different from his usual songs, more contemporary/popish? Oh gosh, I didn't realize I missed his voice this much until I heard it again. The only bad thing about this release, is that it's leaving me craving for more. I need more of his beautiful voice! Ivey unnie, HAHA at the dimple comment! You know, these days I don't watch BL and think of Hwan as Seung Gi anymore. Sometimes I forget LSG is the one who's acting in the drama. Hwan is just Hwan, and I get startled sometimes watching 1N2D and linking LSG with Hwan. Does that mean that his acting is improving? (not that it wasn't good to begin with) Or maybe I'm just watching the drama too closely. It'd be really cute if he'd sing this song in BL though.

His low range notes has gotten a little smoother/sweeter. Its especially audible at the start and towards the end of the verse. But it suits the song anyway. I like the edge in his voice that you can still hear when he hits the notes in the higher range. I'm not all that fond of pop-ish songs with bits of rap inserted in here and there, but the lyrics here make up for it. They're so uber cute! Can I sceam YES to him now?

wowow, I just found out yesterday about the digital single! It sounds sweet. Even without reading the lyrics translation (thanks doublelove) I kept thinking that it would really suit a drama, especially the chorus.
Sadly I'd let my LSG-craze fall to the wayside lately, I haven't even watched the drama even though its all downloaded with the available subs on my computer. But what a way to fall back into the fandom. Yay! I'm back!

'허당승기'가 까칠해진 순간, 사람들은 더 깊이 빠져들었다. KBS 2TV 오락 프로 '1박2일'에서 순하고 허술한 모습으로 사랑받던 가수 이승기(22)는 요즘 SBS TV 주말 드라마 '찬란한 유산'에서 안하무인 도련님으로도 뜨거운 관심을 받고 있다. "명품 백화점 짓고 싶다"며 '설렁탕' 재벌 할머니 심기를 건드려 지금은 유산을 모두 빼앗길 위기에 처한 선우환 역. 16일 서울 광화문 한 카페에 나타난 그는 "기존 이미지 때문에 제대로 '나쁜 남자'가 되고 싶어 너무 어깨에 힘을 줬던 것 같다"며 웃었다.

"초반에 일부 시청자들이 '제 연기 때문에 극에 몰입이 안 된다'는 반응을 보이기도 했어요. 잘하고 싶다는 욕심이 지나쳤던 건데, 위기감이 들더라고요. 그때부터 연기에 변화를 줬어요. 어느 한구석에서는 귀여운 느낌을 받을 수 있게요. 선우환은 본성이 나쁜 게 아니라 다른 사람에 대한 배려를 배운 적이 없었던 사람일 뿐입니다."

"고우영 선생님 원작 만화를 수십번 읽으면서 웬만한 대사는 다 외웠던 상태였어요. 3개월 동안 액션 스쿨 다니면서 승마, 무술 훈련도 치열하게 받았죠. 그런데 인연이 없었던 것 같아요. 그래도 속으로 열렬하게 응원하면서 '돌아온 일지매'를 지켜봤습니다."

'소문난 칠공주' 시절을 묻자 그는 "농구로 치면 '식스맨' 역할을 했다"고 말했다. "화면에 조금이라도 더 나오고 싶어 '오버'하기도 했지만 결국 마지막에 배운 건 드라마 속 배역들은 누구나 지켜야 할 자신만의 위치가 있다는 사실이었어요. 그때는 철이 없어서 마냥 열심히 하면 스토리가 제 중심으로 바뀔 수도 있다는 턱없는 생각을 했었죠."

그는 지난 주말 방송된 노래방 장면에서 선배 가수 성시경의 '좋을 텐데'를 불러 인터넷 포털사이트 검색 순위 선두를 다퉜다. 그는 "사실은 제 곡을 부르고 싶었는데 극중 함께 노래를 했던 문채원씨가 '좋을 텐데'를 가장 잘 부른다고 해서 고집을 꺾을 수밖에 없었다"고 털어놓았다.

Dunno exactly why it was called Airen or who called it Airen but Ai means Love and ren means person in chinese. So maybe it means that seung gi is the person who Airens love? lol dunno but i still like it. ^^
