well, actually, Ruki's English does leave a bit to be desired. It sorta makes sense, but not completely. And S.G.D. is a bad example. "I want to be enjoying the life so it will knock against a high wall hereafter" o...k....

I think there's a sort of system for those who can pronounce it well, and write it well. Kyo writes English well, Ruki says it better. I still maintain the best J-rock singer that I've heard singing in English was hide. I could actually understood every word he said.

yeah, it does have great lines. You know, I find it extremely fun to sing in Engrish.

Ruki's tongue seemed to sort of abandon him for Taion. The way he said "eardrum" was wtf? Like "airdrr" I think the problem is that when he sings a more serious song he's too focused on the emotion to get his pronunciation right.

^Well, when I was listening to a few songs by L'Arc, I was thinkin that Hyde has pretty good pronounciation. (In his cover of GLAMOROUS SKY, too.) But my sister went to a concert of his and she said he has a really big accent when he speaks Englsih.

As for Gackt, I love him too but I never really notice his English. xD I don't even remember any of his songs that have English except for Vanilla and Another World. u___u;; [/offtopic] D:

actually gackt's english pronunciation is good. he didn't seem to have the thick japanese accent that hyde does. granted i did only hear him speak like 6 words in english but it was nice. he said something like, "so, tell how to say hello in madagascar...." on his trip there.

anyhoo....my sister thinks i'm a loser cuz i always sing along to filth in the beauty and silly god disco the way ruki sings it. "you-a shee and my shee neva mee-xis" i never really listen to lyrics anyways, if the music is good, i'm content.

For me, when singing a song, like Filth in the Beauty for example, I kinda switch back and forth between pronouncing the english parts correctly, and singing it how Ruki says it. I'm not exactly sure why I do it though. o___o

I used to be quite good at art, but I haven't done anything in AGES...and I couldn't draw a j-rocker, even if my life depended on it...I have absolutely no ablity to draw such realistic pictures. And most of the time I turn green with envy if I see such good drawings...*sniffle*
