Her second album is atrocious. She sings in her "cute" voice which is unbearable, unless you're into singing babies. I never believed she was talented and long-lasting, but at least she had a few hit songs and she's a good pop singer.

^ Yeah, I'm definitely not feeling her upbeat songs much because she's using that cutesy voice of hers. That's why I only like the ballads.

^yup i agree too, that cutesy baby voice she uses gets kinda irritating after awhile. so i'll probly do the same and only listen to the ballads XD

Those are the only songs of hers that I like. I don't like the show, I despise Rainie as a person, and I find her to be superficial - not cute. Babies are cute. A woman in her 20s made up like a doll and speaks like a baby is NOT cute. However, I do really like those 2 songs so I'll still listen to her new music when better ones come out.

The war lasted 8 years (anyone who has learned Chinese history knows that) and she said it lasted for 11 years. So people in China are bashing her for being uneducated.

she has the looks (well its undeniable that she is very cute).
she can sing (not very well, but she can hold a tune or two: hitting a few wrong notes here and there but still alright overall).
she is very likable (i dont mind watching her on tv at all).

so she makes a good pop star. plus i think she is very hardworking, so i really respect her for that.

however i do not see much talent in her, please enlighten me.

her first album was good because the songs were well written. but the new one is only mediocre at best, what do you expect from slipshod work?

Rainie, in my opinion, is a good actress. In fact, she's one of my favorite Taiwanese actress!
She's very pretty; I mean seriously, there's not many many people who could look that young and pretty at only in their early twenty... well maybe alot of people, but oh well. She can really pass as a young high schooler!
I really like her songs. Especially Guai Bu Guai and Ai Me, along with all of the others! I think that her cuteness is a unique. Like kkkkk, I admired her hardworking effort. I do think she has talent though she needs to work on her acting a tiny bit.

Aimei was a pleasant surprise. I was a bit iffy because usually I don't get good vibes from actors-turned-singers, but I actually liked Aimei.

Therefore, because I liked Aimei, I gave her second album a try. Uh, yeah she fell into the "actors-turned-singers" pitfall of mediocrity. Some of the songs just annoy me, they are just way too jumpy and poppy.

yes! hehe she was cute there, she still looks pretty even with short hair, she should of got a bigger role though hehe

not a big fan of her. actually i kinda find her annoying (im just not that big on super cute looks) and her voice is okay,dun think it's that special. i did like ai mei (probably the only song i like from her)

Mmmm, Rainie Yang's alright IMO. She can sing, but she can't act; I thought her acting was a bit off in DBY... it was like as if she was trying too hard to be cute. But the chemistry between her and Mike He was pretty amusing.
Am I the only one who doesn't like Ai Mei? Lol, but I did like the song, "Ideal Lover".

Her singing isn't THAT bad, but I definitely wouldn't say she can sing. I like how her singing voice SOUNDS for some reason though. I didn't really like her 2nd album. Ai Mei, Li Xiang Qing Ren, and Zhi Xiang Ai Ni are honestly the only songs I like by her. Most of her songs are way too "cutesy" and I find them to be pretty annoying. I had to delete all of them.

Actually, she said something more than that. When asked how much people actually died at the war, she said she didn't know. And when she found out, she answered, "Oh, only _____ people died?".

And also, the people in China are bashing her because she once made a comment about wanting to be Japanese or something... and yeahhhhh.

I saw one of her dramas before DBY; Tomorrow. And, at first, I didn't know she could sing. I thought she was just one of those actresses who used that fact to step into the singing wrold, but I was really surprised when I heard her sing. She has a really nice voice, and her solo album is pretty good (Ambiguous)
