my course has the art-based side (the hair styles, the cd covers, dance moves... etc) also business side (the admin, the promotions, concerts.. etc), also a history side (je's history, most boy's growing up with JE, and the seniors)
the co op program would involve working with the boys. taking care of them and watching after them. keeping them out of trouble seems like an issue recently.

anyways. but i am sure you'll all pass with amazing grades!! =)
secriously. i always think, if only i put half as much effort as i do to get to know these boys and music... etc. *sigh*

i like both. NEWS is better than KT in some areas and KT in others, but personally i dont see the need in comparison at all. maybe it's hard but i think we oughtta look at them as one family, with healthy competition.

Well, here's the whole story..

As most people know, NEWS performs for the volleyball competitions held in Japan (Volleyball World Cup 2003, Athen's Olympic Volleyball Worldwide, 2004 Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix 2004, etc.).. I don't know exactly what that's called but yeah. Anyways, last summer, NEWS performed at the 2005 Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix 2005 with the song TEPPEN. I believe after one game, they were invited to go to a party held afterwards (I'm not sure who was hosting the party or if it was even for the volleyball team). I think they were invited by some news reporter, though I can't recall her name. Uchi decided to go but the other members didn't. There was, of course, drinking at the party and the news reporter lady insisted that Uchi drink, even though Uchi is underaged. I think at first Uchi didn't want to but he ended up drinking anyways. I suppose he drank to the point where he was, of course, drunk. Anyways, since Uchi was by himself at the party, he had no one to come with him when he left. So Uchi left by himself, with no one with him to look after him. So then Uchi goes to some nearby park and was said to have been yelling and making a ruckus. Nearby neighbors called the police and when they came, they brought Uchi to the police station. Later on the in evening, Johnny-san (or some people from the company) came and brought Uchi back home.

Johnny-san then decided, for Uchi's punishment, that he would be suspended for six months. NEWS then made a public apology where they apologized to the fans and for Uchi's actions.

When the six months were up (in December), Uchi still did not return. I suppose the only people who know why Uchi didn't return is the jimusho themselves. I don't think the fans have any idea why he didn't return or hasn't returned yet.

Oh, and for the Uchi incident.. I even think Ryo-chan cried over it. Something like.. he was saying that it would never have happened if he had been there with him.

yay to shige. oh well, at least they're still in the top ten! lol.

BTW i'm still having a hard time matching their voices with their faces. the only voice i recognize is yamapi's. well could you tell me were i could find news perfs, but not too old perfs, like the most recent ones before the suspension aka self reflection period. it doesnt matter if it is clubbox.

i think that what they did was amazing for a boysband. for me boysbands depend on their image because their main target is still a unstable public, youngsters whose preference change like the wind sometimes, with a so fragile concept of loyalty and with a level of maturity that still doesn't allow them to understand how life works.

No PV, no talk shows, no perfs, bad publicity, i wonder if any other japanese boysband reached a number one and keep it for a whole week with such a negative panorama.

I only see Ryo like 1 second in the drama CM. I don't think there is going to be much of Ryo in the dorama. It's focusing on the girl.

LOL. How ironic.. the Cherish PV was the PV that got me into NEWS and its my favorite one... and that Cherish performance.. I think.. THAT PERFORMANCE WAS THE FIRST CHERISH PERFORMANCE I EVER SAW! lol~ I absolutely love that performance. well after watching lots of news recent perfs, i’m glad to see that they all can sing, at first I though that they were one of those groups were only 2 or 3 sing and the rest were just hiding their bad vocals in the chorus. Maybe some of them don’t have the most powerful voices out there but they sound on key most of the time. And tegoshi has the voice without any doubt.

And not only that some of them have real potential as dancers, honestly when I saw the teppen and cherish pv, I seriously though that none of them could dance, I mean those dances are so simply and slow that I could do them with my eyes closed and standing in one foot. And when I say potential as dancers I’m not talking about twisting their hips, shake their butts and do acrobatic movesmy apologize for bein so honest but that is not dancing, if that was dancing all showgirls and strippers should be considered as dancers, because they are professional butt shakers. A real dancer flows with the music and hit the beat of the music on time. Both kusano and yamapi have an excellent flow and sense of beat. Sorry if I’m excluding another member of news with potential as a dancer, but kusano and yamapi are the only ones I have seen dancing to different things besides news’ songs.

hahaha~ Yeah, NEWS doesn't dance too much. But then again, their style of music doesn't really need that intense sort of dancing. I think the dancing that they do is enough for their songs. I mean, imagine if they did some all out dancing for TEPPEN. That would be overdoing it since TEPPEN isn't necessarily a song you dance to. But Kusano is definitely a great dancer, the best outta NEWS. I think they can all dance pretty good but like I said, they don't exactly need to know how to dance since most of their songs aren't dance-like songs. Yanno what I mean?

I always thought Kei-chan dances pretty well. And lately, Tegonyan's dancing has been getting better. I think it was one of the SCs from November.. I think it was when they performed Heaven.. Tego's dancing was really good! So he's getting better. LOL~

But I always thought Uchi-kun couldn't dance that well. ROFL~ Oh, Uchi-kun, how I miss you. I hope you practiced on your dancing. XD

i have to say that kusano and koyama are the best dancers. next it's yamapi and tegoshi and than the rest of NEWS. i always notice that yamapi, tegoshi, kusano, and sometimes koyama are always in front when dancing in PVs and stuff.

about the Cherish PV. when i first saw it, i thought, these guys are weird and dance weird. altho months later, i rewatched it and totally got into NEWS and JE. Cherish perfs, PV, and song will always be my favorite because it was my first exposure to NEWS. plus i think it's the best. they look so much better in normal clothes than in their weird outfits in the other PVs. also, i love that perf where they were all over the building.

XP they dance to the softest song. and their moves for songs are 90% the same. the layout is 90% the same. anyways.

well from my personal experience body structure has nothing to do with dance abilities. Every single kind of dance from classic to the most modern ones are all about flow and a good sense of beat. if you have flow and a good sense of beat you can dance to anything. Of course everybody could learn a choreogrpahy, with lots of practice everything is possible, but the flow and that sense of beat of talented dancers is what sets the difference, and in my opinion sometimes the sense ofbeat is more important than flow. the flow allows you to move with grace but hitting the beat on time is what allows improvisation.

BTW not news but je related i have another question the hands moves are like a trademark from JE?????. i ask because every single pv i saw they are doing this weird hand moves, teppen, cherish, i saw some pvs of k8 with hand moves too, and even kat-tun is doing hand moves in the real face perfs, also that song venus (the one where they use the rythm of a old salsa song) has a complete hands choreography.

well. i dont know how to put the body thing.
i find built people ... or some people who has some meat dances better.
its like kame, who is a definition of a stick, vs yamapi, whos buff. and i find yamapi MUCH better. but that might again by MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE and BIASNESS
