I think when you first see Chen Yi, he really does look like Kusano! But the more you look at him and the more you get to know him, he doesnt look like Kusano that much anymore.

In that picture, he doesnt look like him. But in other pictures, he looks dead on like Kusa.

Chen Yi is really cute though~ I loved watching him in My Son Is A Mob Boss. He's so funny. XD His singing is pretty good, too ^______^

I made this comparison some months back.. when I was watching an episode of Chen Yi's drama. This part made me go, "WHOA~ KUSA!" HAHAHAHA

Sorry, I just became a NEWS fan recently, so I'm not up-to-date w/ their suspension thing. What happened? When were they suspended? In 2004 or 2005? Thanx in advance.

^ Uchi Hiroki was caught drinking while he was still under age in 2005. Kusano is also under age and caught in 2006 but he claimed that he didn't drink but the media or whatever didn't believe him because he was caught on camera so he took the blame and NewS was temporary suspended for the rest of the year. Rumors said that Uchi Hiroki might return on September during one of Kanjani8's concert or something. NewS might not perform as a group until 2007. Hopefully this help but if anyone catches any errors please feel free to correct or post any articles. Thanks.

^ Thank you for responding. I was kinda confused cuz I saw a clip of Yamapi and the rest of NEWS apologizing for Uichi but then they were still performing and stuff after that. Anyways, can you also inform about the controversy that arised when NEWS was formed? I read that Yamapi and some of the other members were already part of another group, but they were disbanded and some members became part of NEWS? And Yamapi didn't talk to any of the other members except Ryo? Just curious. Thanx in advance.

Lets dig back into NEWS history, shall we?

Almost all members of NEWS were apart of a junior group before being formed into NEWS, all except Tegoshi, Massu, and Moriuchi (the ex 9th member). Actually, Massu was a temp in Kis-My-Ft but I dont really count that as being apart of a group since he was just a temp. Anyways...Ryo and Uchi were apart of (and still are) KanJani8; Yamapi was apart of 4tops; Koyama, Kusano, and Shige were apart of KKKity. When NEWS was first formed, they were actually formed just to promote the volleyball tournaments (like what GYM is currently doing). But they were so popular, Johnny decided to just debut them as a group.

When they were first formed, of course, they weren't all that close. Kusano, who's known to be super genki and whatnot, was said to have been really quiet when he was around Ryo-chan or any of the other members. But when he was with Kei-chan or Shige, he was always his normal self. Ryo and Uchi were, of course, always together. Yamapi was sometimes a loner.. and as for Massu, Tegoshi, and Moriuchi.. Massu and Tegoshi became close.. I dont have much to say about Moriuchi since he left NEWS before they had their official CD debut and I've never heard of any friendships or bonds he had in NEWS.

So, technically, I dont really think you can call it disbanding of any junior groups? Since Ryo and Uchi are still apart of KanJani8.. 4tops became 3tops.. and as for KKKity, they all seperated and went different ways (Yokoo and Iida went off into Kis-My-Ft.. and I'm not sure about the other member of KKKity).

Well, after NwP I just went onto youtube and searched anything Yamapi related and a lot of NEWS concerts/perfs. came up and I got addicted. Then I went into other forums and downloaded NEWS related perfs., concerts, and TV variety shows. I found the "Behind the Scenes of Summary (KAT-TUN & NEWS)" w/ eng. subtitles and loved it! I still rewatch that over and over. Sadly, it's only 30 min. long, but I still love it because they have soooo much fun together. Have you seen that yet? It's hilarious! Anyways, I also watched a lot of their SC stuff and when they were on the Domoto shows. After watching Domoto, I started to like Tegoshi a lot too. He was soooo cute as a 15 yr. old . Ahhh... sorry to keep blabbering on. I can't wait until they come back too and make a new album and start to get popular again and be on every magazine cover. I just bought some japanese magazines but sadly there aren't any NEWS pictures , only KAT-TUN. I wish I was into NEWS sooner so I can get all those stuff. I've been looking for posters, but they don't have any where I live .

to be honest i still can't call myself a news fan, i like the boys and i enjoy a lot of their songs but to me fan is a big word. in my whole life i have only called myself fan of 2 groups 3 if you count BSB R.i.P. i really dislike those people that go around callin themselves fans of every single male singer that they find hot and have like 2 songs that they like. <--if that is bein a fan, then i will be a fan of a gazillion groups.

Ahahah... yah, the Nippon PV was weird to say the least, but after watching them perform it live I came to love the song. Teppen is ok to me, but right now I'm hooked on Sayaendou. Such an addicting song. Anyways, I'd call myself a NEWS fan after searching a lot of info and concert clips on them, but I'm not a HUGE die-hard fan since I just started to get into this whole JPB craze about two months ago.

I'm a new fan of NEWS -----> I recently knew about Yamapi because I saw Nobuta a month ago and Yamapi stole my heart ... I really don't know much about Jpop and NEWS but I heard the album Touch and i liked the music ....specially "cherish and Akaku Moyuru Taiyo " OMG I love the words that Pi says in a part of Akaku Moyuru Taiyo sounds so good....I hope to know more about this Jpop band ....I think some members was suspended or something like that....so sad ...I'd like to watch some recent performances of this group...specially with Pi in it
