i'm pretty sure the extra cost is for their service. i'm not going anywhere near the pamphlet. i just bought the uchiwa and photoset which is much cheaper here than i've seen people selling it for on lj. not that i'm defending them or anything...it's just i've been doing a lot of looking around and this seems to be the best place for what i want.

There are eight members but currently, Uchi and Kusano are trainees. They are not officially apart of NEWS (& KanJani8 for Uchi) right now but they're working hard as trainees so they can come back and be apart of the group(s).

I just watched the performance(S).
HONESTLY, singing = weak.. except Tegoshi. maybe.
Eyecandies? HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD
So for the past year..
Pi did solo stuff
Tegomass did their stuff, went to Sweden, it was strange doing stuff there
Ryo did his Kanjyani stuff..
Koyama and Shige went to school and did their edu stuff..

Ahh~ I just finished watching their perf. Everyone looked soooo GOOD! Yamap trimmed his hair! He has bangs again! HOTNESS! I love Pi's opening to their new song, very nice. And Massu's solo was so cute! The way he smiled at the camer and everything. You can totally see member love because they kept stealing glances at one another and smiling. Can't wait to see more of them!

P.S. Does anyone know the difference between Shounen Club and Shounen Club Premium? I read that they performed on Premium too?

THE Shonen Club is on every Tuesday.. with crazy female audience.. screaming YAMA____ MATSU_____ NISHI_____ KAMA___ fdafjdiafda!!!
Ok. At the moment, the show hosts are Koyama (NEWS) and Nakamaru (KAT-TUN). The performers are all juniors.
One producer is picked among all JE boys (almost always a junior unless a special guest comes). The producer chooses the theme for that show, and the rest of the johnny's boys perform songs that are related to the theme.
There are guests on the show, playing O/X games, or guess what I am.. or blah blah. Koyama and Nakamaru go to the practice hall of Johhny's and ask the juniors about the theme of that particular shows.. stuff like that.
Sometimes (or almost always), two juniors/groups/guests write and read letters to each other. It's funny and cute and sometimes inspiring.
That's THE Shonen Club.

PREMIUM is a more "mature" show, narrated by Tsuyoshi of SMAP (I LOVE HIS VOICE!!). In it, usually members of one group come on as guests, and the host(S) (I think it's one of the TOKIO members) talks to them about whatever. They talk about stuff, then perform, then perform more. Some special features like VTR interviews happen once in awhile with another Johnny's member, talking about his recent piece of work.. yeah.

Both are enjoyable in different aspects...

Shounen Clun Premium will be tomorrow IM SOO EXCITED XDDDDDD they'll probably have another medley just like in MS ^^;; Sayaendou and Hoshi wo mezashite ^^;;

actually in Shounen Club Premium mostly debuted artists of Johnnys guests there, and not from the one from Johnnys Jrs, Johnnys Jrs are for Shounen Club, except of course when they back dance for their senpais ^^;;

Yeah, I don't think I mentioned it there, but Premium is basically only for debuted groups.. no juniors..

Man, I was all giddy while watching this. I LOVED THE SPRAKRLY BLACK SUITS. HAWWWT.

WHAT???? They are trainees??? NEWS is like...the only pop band that I like right now in Japan....besides w-inds who (whom?) I've loved since I was a kid.
Uchi was definitely one of the cool ones....I really miss him ToT

While I enjoy watching shounen club occasionally (if it just happens to be there), I don't see a TON of amazing singing talent in Johnny's. Usually I prefer the Korean style of music (even though I'm not Korean.....).

I agree with you that Tegoshi is one of the only good singers in Johnny's. Although even though I never liked this particular fellow, I also have to admit that Akanishi-kun was pretty good too. Ahhh such talent and yet such...a personality that clashes with my own. But whatever, this isn't a K't-tun thread, this is a NEWS thread.

Hahaha if it has tegoshi, I'll get it. One time, during my mom's drama on TV (I was walking by), a commercial with Tegoshi popped up and I lunged for the remote so that the next time it came on, I could record it. Yessss I'm such a dork.

I agree with people that Tegoshi is one of the best singers in JE (another would be Nagase!!!!!!).. and the best in NEWS. Shonen club performance just reaffirmed my belief.. haha.. his voice stands out.. in a good way.
I hope NEWS goes on every single music program I watch.. heh

I agree Tegoshi's voice is one of the most beautiful voices in Johnnys, infact if you hear he's Solo in Spring Concert 2007 now, he did a solo for Yamapi's written song "Pain" News used to sing it when they were debuted and this time Tego sang it solo and you can really hear how powerful he's voice is.

ANYWAYS THE SOLOS WERE GREAT!!! i heard all their solos wear written by the members themselves ^^;;

I orderd from CDjapan before, they have good services plus theyre sales adds up to the for Oricon charts so you help NEWS in a way ^^;; and cdjapan ships faster than yesaisa, sometimes before the release they have alreadys shipped the CDs already ^^;; so after two days you can get the CD already.

i watched the SCP, all the members were there like for Hoshi WO Mezashite and Sayaendou performance but only Yamapi was interviewed ^^;;
