oh as for songs that are similiar, you could try ありがとう・今 (arigatou ima; i'm also more of a fan of their slow stuff) or 夢の数だけ愛が生まれる (yume no kaze dake ai ga umareru) or DREAMS (i suppose it's not the same tempo really...but watching their perf in the N.E.W.S dvd with the crying and whatnot...it gives off the same...'feeling' ) i'd be happy to upload them if u want ^^

also 'ai nante' seems to be more of what tegomasu sing....again not entirely sure if the tempo's really the same...but whenever i listen to them it gives off the same 'feeling'

Hmm, you should stick around! JE is a pretty awesome fandom in general if you don't mind pretty boys, gayness, hideous costumes, and massive amounts of retardation.

And I haven't heard of any crazy fans or anti-fans like those in Korea so far so it's pretty safe as well.

My favorite is Tegoshi because he captured my attention and turned me into a JE fangirl when KAT-TUN couldn't.

I love how he's gone from the dorky kid who couldn't dance but had an amazing voice to superslutty!Tego who can dance!

He must have been taking crash course lessons from Massu during their time as Tegomassu. XD

I'm a fan in both kpop fandoms (namely suju and a few of the less popular ones) and jpop (namely JE XD ) and i gotta agree...JE fans are better i think.

they sure as heck wouldn't go to an idol's father's funeral and scream their lungs out just cuz they see the idol =_________________________='

i think the other reason is bc JE is a lot more strict on what fans can do and stuff. kpop idols get presents from fans...like actual STUFF like stuffed animals, fanmade booklets, little trinkets, even food. JE doesn't allow any of that stuff. the most you can do is send them fanmail, and even then they cut out all the contact information...if you try to send them stuff, JE will just mail it back to you.

lol other than the hideous costumes, I think for the most part kpop is the same suju's pretty retarded sometimes too XD

i've found also that JE fans overall tend to write better fanfiction XD

i'm still a big suju fan, but the thread here scares me (the 'big name fans in there....kawai~~~) and all the scandals that happen to them and the crap that sm ent makes them go through is just too depressing sometimes. it's hard being a kpop fan =/

but that's not to say JE kids don't work hard either, bc they're just as amazing in their own way.
and NEWS at least doesn't need anti-fans...they've got ryo! XD

the best english community that i can think of that has the fastest news and is all-around a nice family is the news_jpop livejournal community (i'm sure there are people here who agree) so yea i don't even use lj for blogging, but lj has EVERYTHING and is a great resource for JE fans

well i'm not too new.... (6 months of KAT-TUN craze+i love japanese drama. I just never really cared about finding more about the other artists/JE till now). It's new compared to my kpop phase (3 years). It was a major shock (from dbsk fandom) when i saw the fanservice (what's it called... hip rolls?) and yeah the ugly costumes and unsynchronized dancing XD.. but I don't know that much about them.

Slutty dancing? yt link please ?? Tegoshi looks so innocent.. i thought it was just KAT-TUN (thought they were the only ones who has slutty moves) I thought NEWS were sqeaky clean (except for that incident where two members got expelled)

Yeah i think their fans are a lot nicer too (from what I've seen). It even allows them to have courage to perform right in front of the fans (as in mingle). HAAH I can not imagine dbsk doing that (they'll get pulled right and left) And I hear that they ride public transport!!! I was so shocked.. if a kpop star did that

^It's true that on the whole, Japanese fans are a lot better. Even Tegoshi said during the Tegomass interview in Sweden that their fans are really respectful and will approach them sometimes, but know how to keep their distance.

I mean, these guys go karaoke-ing together in public all the time and they always talk about their lives outside of JE on their blog and it seems as if they can lead normal lives outside of JE.



Ahaha, k-pop fan, huh? The fanservice is waayy more blatant in JE, I mean, it isn't as if they're burdened with shame or anything lol. I'm originally a j-pop fan but I see where you guys are coming from with the whole "they have no talent, just looks" thing. When it comes to JE, uh, talent isn't really a MUST-HAVE, but there are quite a few talented people in there. We aren't here just for the music ya know. We're here for entertainment. And gay.

Aw, if you don't like boy love then you aren't gonna find much else in this fandom. ^___^;

There are lots of talented authors around, though, which is what I find lacking in the k-pop fandom. A lot of it's more crack, really, and most authors don't take the fandom too seriously, I find. I haven't read funnier fic than JE fic.

And there's lots of crazy wtf pairings too, like CartmanxKame, KamexTooth!Jin and Joey FatonexKame, written by these two authors, and while the concept makes me cry, these fics are actually very well written. They're both on lj.

yeah...I got hooked into JE after watching KAT-TUN's real face concert. They really know how to work the camera (but I also like the music). But tegoshi, massu, Jin, Kame, and Ueda's voices are pretty good.
All this.. um.. fanservice was really shocking because i thought Japanese culture was conservative

Well most fanfics i see here are straight.. the author puts herself as the heroine or... creates a heterosexual couple from celebs. I'm not much of a yaoi fan...

The fans may treat them nicer because perhaps of the culture? I find Japanese very respectful and polite in the drama... (a little too polite sometimes)

I love how Tego-kun acts so opposite of how he looks, with that cherubic face of his, he has this self-centered vibe around him that's unusually not annoying, but cute. He is a GOOD singer, enuf to give some KPop boybands a run for their money. LoL. But that guy really tends to be a narcissist at times, haha. I love it when he gets ito "stuck-up" mode. It's amusing cuz it just doesn't suits his face.

Oh, and Ryo and his Leah Dizon fanboyness.

I thought when tae7en (kpop artists se7en and taebin) were singing together and Se7en just lifts taebin's shirt a little... that was fanservice. wow... i don't think i'll ever see this stuff in western culture (homophobics). I find that really ironic that gay marriages/relationships are supported here (i'm canadian) but there is a stigmatism against feminine guys. and yet.. i don't think gay couples can get married in asia (i don't think the artists are even gay) but they act gay for the fans... so weird and twisted.

Thay all improve their singing for pacific especially YamaP and Koyama, koyama even sounds like massu for their weeek single. But the pacific album is lack of tegomasu, the reason why i'm not enjoying it properly compared to touch album.
