they were around LA last january 2007 for their calendar, if you check few posts back there is this one girl who saw them shooting in The Grove and was able to talk to Ryo, Ryo even mentioned it in one of the interviews. ^^;;

^^ no i don't think they english are good, probably they know a few words, i think Yamapi probably know the most English out of all of the members...trying learning japanese for the sake of them LOL haha im taking japanese just becaue of them and i like the culture and things abotu Japan anyways xP

i've never heard yamapi mention learning english, but he probably is. apparently he speaks a little english in the movie. I think his economic tests have english on them apparently

I know Shige took/takes English; he mentioned it a buncha times in his old jweb entries. He had to explain to his professor about what JE is LOL for one of his oral tests.

I don't remember if anyone else did, but I think Kusano, Yamapi, and Shige took chinese/tried it out for a while...haha Shige was very fail at it and couldn't get the tones at all. Aw, it's okay Shige, I know Japanese for you so you don't have to try and speak chinese for me XD

I'm so glad the promo's for Kurosagi are over =-=' Yamapi really needs to focus on graduating since he might not be able to since JE really screwed up his ability to go to class and stuff what with drama filming and promo's and whatnot.

all of them probably know very basic english, because they always go to Hawaii and then when they went to LA they had day off for shopping, koyama said some english words, Ryo wrote one of his jwebs before pure english LOL

shige studies english in the uni, even yamapi, i think tego too because tego speaks randomly in english during concerts.

in kurosagi one of his disguises knows hows to speak in english so he spoke english there like alot, he even has this english teacher on the set to practice him to speak and his teacher says he's good ^^;;

I think YamaPi is short four credits to graduate. But according to some translations of his web entires, he's going to try to graduate in September!

there's some confusion about how many credits it is....pi says it's four but the company says it's six. either way, it's really just like...one class he's missing, which is rather frustrating, to be that close to graduating ><

but to have gone thru such a hectic schedule and then always filming for dramas and then the movie and then the movie promotion and etc etc etcccccc....

i'm really proud of pi it's amazing he's able to graduate in pretty much four years considering all the stuff he's had to do for JE while still juggling school.

(course on the other hand i'm really pissed at JE and their total disregard for pi's health and college concerns =.=' )

Nicely said; I, too, and really proud of Pi-kun.... many celebs usually drop one thing or another, but he's really pushing himself to make the best out of life, no? ^^

at the moment there are 6 members: koyama keiichiro, nishikido ryo, yamashita tomohisa, masuda takahisa, kato shigeaki, and tegoshi yuya. (in order from oldest to youngest )

there are two members, uchi hiroki and kusano hironori, who i think at the moment are considered at "junior" status and not part of the group because of an underage drinking incident a year or so ago.

there was a 9th member in the VERY VERY beginning called moriuchi takahiro, but he left after the first single or so. He now has his own band called One OK Rock, which is very good in my opinion ^^

btw -- where do you buy their fan merch? ><

if you're talking about anything besides cds dvds and calendars(which you can find on YA, CDJapan, HMV, etc) then the only place I know of is the news_jpop community on livejournal(which is the biggest community of english-speaking NEWS fans that i know of). People on there sell posters, magazines, shop photos, uchiwas, penlights, etc.

Although for magazines you can buy them if you have a japantown nearby.

Ai Nante's what really got me as well. I'm still not sick of that song...Tegoshi's voice is just <3.
