i listen to a lot of hmong songs... i just don't know who they are.
some aren't that bad either. just gotta give it a listen.

I don't listen to a lot of hmong songs but i do listen to some...one of my absolute favorites has to be Now and Forever by Destiny...oh i just love the lyrics in that song...so sweet...oh I don't think anyone mentioned this group O.N.O i think it stands for One and Only...anyways if you haven't they're pretty good (well at least i think they are)...

I grew up with KLS, because my older sisters used to be obsess with them. LOL. Some hmong bands are okay. I listen to Paradise, Whyteshadow. Pretty much a lil bit of everything. But now I listen to RARE, kinda. LP, kinda. Any new music on the rise, I'll give it a try.

You should check out Proto-J aka Josh. He's a newcomer and he is DAAAMMMNNN goooooood!!! Can sing and dance and play intruments. Writes and composes his own music. He is good.

i like "Tub Yaj"...a soloist/actress. i love some of his songs and i think he's the most attractive hmong singer...also his movie "Txiv nkawm theev kua muag"<---something like that in english it means

"Couples Holding onto tears" it's the best one...two of my favorite "Tub Yaj" songs i heard from that movie.

i know it's fobby but he's the only hmong singer i listen to.

the rapping is by this hmong dude and the singing that's in chinese is a theme song from this one movie called "The Myth" which has jackie chan in it.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys could identify a song for me? I know filesharing isn't allowed, so I can't post up the file, but there was this song that I found with a Hmong singer but I originally heard the Korean version.

The Korean version, was in the dubbed Autumn Tale series. At least I'm pretty sure it is.

So if anyone wants to help me, please PM me so perhaps I can describe/elaborate some more about the song.

Anybody heard of Jeff and Cicily yet? They mostly sing Christian songs but they are waaaayyyy talented!! I'm not Christian but damn I love listening to their voices. lolz.

Hmong music? I don't listen to it these days. I grew up on KLS, Sounders and the older groups as well as Luj Yaj and artists around his time (cause of my parents). My brother is a major Hmong Music fan and every once in a while I'll catch a song that he's listening to but don't own any albums myself.

Have any of you watched the Hmong dubbed "Romance in the Rain"? Chinese series starring Vicky Zhao and Ruby Lin. The theme song is sang by a Hmong woman, I'd like to know who it is. It's very nice.

jeff and Cicily are really good . I know the just did a little show Lee Her another good hmong artist and very good friends of my sis. I think they both were doing it to promoted thiers cds. I havent listened to jeff and cicily's cd yet but they go to my church and when ever they sing it sounds so nice . I have listen to Lee hers cd some of his songs i thought it was okay. I really like one song because its one he sung at my grandmother's funeral a long time ago T_T. i remeber when he did his concert at hlub 2002 alot people were asking when his next cds was coming out XD.

I'm not religious so its sorta weird for me to listen to the religious songs. lol. If ya know what I mean. lol. But anyways I really love their voices.

HMONG music rocks my socks! I love listening to it because some are inspiring. For those Hmong Christians out there like me, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend JEFF & CICILY's Lug Tsev CD! It's the BOMB! I love it! It has a lot of inspiring songs!

Honestly, I think Paradise, Whyteshadow, etc.. had their own time, but now I think the music has progressed. Their vocals weren't as great, but now there's people's voices that blow me away! Like my cousins Jeff & Cicily and my other cousin Peter who's in The Rice Channel. I know there's a lot more talent in the Hmong community. NO OFFENSE, but it's usually the people who have bad voices that gets the record label.

Not to offend anyone who is Hmong... but can someone tell me what country Hmong people come from? I've always found it interesting that there are Hmong people living in the northern parts of Vietnam... Up until recently I thought Hmong people were Vietnamese but just those who live really high up in the mountains. But it seems you are a race of your own ^^". But yeah... I don't know much. I'm Vietnamese but I grew up in NZ and AUS ... so haven't really had an in-depth geography lesson about Asia... and I don't know anyone who is Hmong.

Now that the Fresno Hmong New Year is over (which sux), I had the chance to hear Ciaj Sia and Elegance. They all have amazing voices in my opinion. The soft but strong kind-ish. I think they're music ic pretty good for the slow type. Hehe!

I also bought Proto-J's first album This Is How It Goes. And all I have to say is that its the shiznit. Whoooo!! His music and singing is AWESOME!!!!

At least try listening to Proto-J man. I gotta keep shouting about this guy. lol. As for hmoob rappers, I prefer the rapping to be in hmoob and I only like RARE's "Tau Thi" which was really good and meaningful. Plus they are AWESOME when they're performing live.
