a new album! cant wait!

i love keane. i heard this song before- the first part is kinda annoying, but the song gets better and really catchy. they sound much different from hopes and fears. i hope their new album won't disappoint!

It's finally out in the UK. 5 more days for the U.S.

This isn't to be rude, but Keane is a band, not a man Just thought you would want to know. So far, critics have been giving their new album great reviews. Not that I really care what critics say about my favorite bands, but as long as people are saying good things about Keane, I'll report it. Haha

They're three lads from Southern England. Did you guys know that the keyboardist of Keane almost joined in with Coldplay while he and the lead singer of Coldplay were in college together? They decided not to since Tim (the keyboardist) was already in Keane. Good thing, huh? They both are huge bands now, that and I like Keane more than Coldplay. Not that Coldplay isn't good; they're a little overhyped, but still good. Guess what I just found out? Keane was actually going to name their band "coldplay" when they were first forming, but decided the name was too depressing so they offered the name to Chris Martin (the lead singer to the current Coldplay band). I had no idea. Keane's the better band and name anyway.

purchased 'under the iron sea' a few days after its release.
maybe not as radio-friendly or commercial as their first album,
but i really like it. As much, if not more, than their first.
I'm really feeling the whole album jacket and the 'iron sea' theme.
A bit melancholic, but it's beautiful nonetheless.

GOSH..I'm soooooo in love with them now. I have never been so into an English group before..
I only listen to songs and then my craziness fade away..but this time it's different, I actually LOVE THEM!!

I went to one of their live GIGS and they were FANTASTIC live! Their performance still haunts me till now.. I am still in awe..

I have one of their albums, though I dont listen to it much anymore. I like "Somewhere Only We Know" and "Bedshaped" in particular. I haven't heard anything from Under The Iron Sea.

i'm not a fan but i love their songs somewhere only we know and everybody changing.

Under the Iron Sea is amazing, I like it better than their first album. I still love Somewhere Only We Know and Everybody's Changing, though. Crystal Ball is my favorite song of all time. I love Leaving So Soon? and Nothing in my Way as well.

I love Keane! Probably one of my favorite bands ever. Somewhere Only We Know caught my attention, and now I'm hooked. I never knew their history with Coldplay! I always thought that their sound was a bit similar but there are definite distinctions. I love the song "Hamburg Song". There's just something about it..

they're my all time favorite band. their cd under the iron sea is the only one i can listen to over and over again without getting bored. wasn't there a rumor they were breaking up/broken up already? i hope that's not true ):

Keane went through a rough patch. Tom went to rehab for drug and alcohol problems and there was just tension among the guys. But they seemed to work everything out.

Keane's third album, Perfect Symmetry, is to be released on October 13, 2008 in the UK. The release date for the US is October 14th, 2008. You can stream the album here.

The music video for "Spiralling" and "The Lovers Are Losing" are already out.

It's been a while since we've heard from them. They seemed to have experimented with a different sound. People say it sounds like an '80s influence.
