Naoko Noda, who works in a trading company, is called “anego” by her younger co-workers. What is
“anego”? It means “older sister”, but in this case it is given as a nickname to Naoko because she is like a
big sister to the other workers, who depend on her to give them advice about everything. This drama,
based on a popular novel, depicts realistically how Naoko lives her everyday life, including her love life,
the problems she faces, and her uneasiness about the future. Naoko, 32, works in the corporate strategy
division. She is single, and has been working hard for 10 years, now she often finds herself in the role of
training and guiding the younger female workers. Recently she realizes that most of the temporary and
contracted workers’ goals are to find an elite male employee within the company to marry. Naoko also
hopes that the man of her dreams, a prince on a white horse will one day come into her life, but it seems
like her younger co-workers are always the ones who win the hearts of all the elite men. One day, on the
way home from work, a handsome man saves Naoko from a drunk man who was bothering her, but she
sees the wedding ring on his finger, and feels the emptiness of being single. One day, Naoko goes out to
play golf with the general manager and other co-workers, and there she unexpectedly meets her former
co-worker, Eriko Sawaki. Eriko seems to have a picture-perfect life; she is married to a company president,
and already has one child. Naoko gets distracted by Eriko and the happy atmosphere around her, and
ends up with a terrible golf score. After finishing the round, Eriko’s husband comes to pick her up, and
Naoko is surprised when she sees his face. Eriko’s husband is the handsome man who saved her from
the drunk man. Naoko’s heart starts pounding, and she can’t help but envy Eriko’s happy life. When
working women reach their 30s, they start to worry about various things; “How long should I continue
working for this company?”, “Will I marry the man I am dating?” “If I continue living like this what will I
do when I grow old?” etc. In this drama, the main character, who is a 32-year old single woman working
at a prestigious trading company, suddenly finds herself as one of the elders at the office, being a big
sister to her younger co-workers. From the outside, it seems like she is a happy and successful
businesswoman, but inside she is insecure and worried about her future. This drama, through the main
character, portrays the everyday life of working women realistically; what they are really thinking, the
problems they face, and how they do their best to survive in this world.

wow....Jin here is so hawt.....
there are some funni scene....
......erm....da plot is so-so......its more about realtionship n cheating on their patners.....but if u are a big fan of JIN ......u should really catch him in action!

dis drama was alright i guess, haha, well there was Jin to watch. plus, i really like the lead actress. but, i guess we never knew if Naoko really end up with Jin or not, well, they do exchange mails, so, it's a happy ending right

I became a fan of Shinohara Ryoko after watching this. I think she stands out amongst other Japanese actresses in terms of style and craft. I'm glad she's getting more interesting scripts and bigger roles after having played second fiddle in earlier dramas.

i really liked this series, really liked the main female character, even when she went wayward in episode 8. i like it for its realism.
i believe jin had his first kiss in this series. apparently, they had to practice the kiss scene 19 times. : P yup, 19 NGs.

I just finished this over the weeknd and must say that I totally enjoyed wathcing it. First becus Jin is soo hot and sweet and adorable and funny...but also becus the story showed what a 30-something single Japanese woman really goes through.. I loved Shinohara Ryoko as Anego and...don't you think that she and Jin have the same eyes? ^^

i dont think i enjoyed this one as much as other Japanese dramas but it definitely entertained me.

I was in love with this drama. At first I watched it for Jin only, but as my superficiality faded, I realized I actually did love the story ^^;; And Ryoko is a really good actress The theme song is killer, too XD

the storyline itself wasnt that interesting and IMO was really slow. i actually found Sapuri to be more entertaining? XDDD the "I am a hardworking OL and single and desperate for a man" thing got annoying after a while >=T but overall wasnt that bad~

I'm finally getting 'round to watching this one and really loving it! I can so seriously relate to the main character, that's part of the reason, and the guys are really cute. I've been a fan of Kato Masaya for years now, he just takes my breath away. I really don't know which guy to cheer for, though... I still have four episodes left! Hopefully finish it tonight!

Really liked it, though I think something was lost in translation during Anego's speech at the wedding in the last episode. I'm really not sure what she was trying to say about happiness... and I do wish the book were translated into English, seems like it would be a good one.

As for the ending, [spoiler]both the last episode and the special leave the fate of Anego and Kurasawa kind of open. I think they hint that they'll be together, but unfortunately we don't get to see what happens. Sometimes I find these kinds of endings to be okay, but in this case, I would have been more satisfied if they'd just gotten together.[/spoiler]

Can't believe the thread for this drama isn't longer, considering the stars. I thought Jin was really good in this one. However, aside from being disappointed in the ending, I’m also kind of confused by it. I think something was lost in translation, but can someone please explain [spoiler] what her whole speech at the wedding was about? I mean, it didn’t really seem to me that she was happy with how things ended up. Of course, they strongly HINT that she and Jin will end up together, but I was disappointed they weren’t brave enough to just do it![/spoiler]

OMG, the computer parts where hilarious, too, then they're trying to hide it from their coworkers. IMO the drama would have been SOO much better if they had focused more on the two of them without all the other *ahem* garbage...
