On August 2007, Vanness celebrates his 29th b-day (how time flies - vanness1love@onlyvanness). F4 is appointed as the Taiwan ambassadors, it is thought that inevitably, that it's also a great opportunity for F4 to come to japan more often and that Japan will be open to encouraging entertainment business market with Taiwan from now on.

WingZ, according the fan report, Vanness was singing "Ling Shi Zha", "Who Made You Cry", "Fantasy Love" [幻想這愛], "Rasta" [Poker Face] and "Meteor Rain". otherwise he also sung Silent Night for fan's request on 12.07 nite. the nite 08 i dunno well. maybe the main songs were the same, after that he sung a lil bit of "Last Xmas" cos he didn't remember the lyric. then he sung "White Xmas".

Fans Complain that Vanness and LEEhom are holding concert on same day


SonyBMG artists Wang Leehom and Vanness are not only in the same company, they are also close friends behind the scenes. The two have been seen hanging out together in Taipei. In addition, the two have cooperated on numerous occasions including concerts and most notably in Leehom's self-directed music video "Ai Cou."

However, SonyBMG has pit the two celebrities against each other for the first time. Both Leehom and Vanness are holding concerts in Malaysia on March 3rd, 2007. This is Vanness's first time holding a solo concert in Malaysia. However, this is also the last stop for Leehom's widely acclaimed GSYX concert tour.

Leehom's special guest for his concert will be Singapore superstar and close friend of Leehom's Lin Jun Jie (J.J. Lin). The special concert for Vanness's concert will be R/B singer and rapper Nicky Lee (of renowned Taiwanese group Machi).

SonyBMG commented that the concerts will not clash with one another because Leehom and Vanness attract different audiences. Sony's publicist commented, "The two have different musical styles and are in no way similar to another. We are confident that neither concert will affect the performance of the other because each artist has different fanbases."

However, there has been backlash from fans, such as 20 year old Elizabeth Goh, who is a fan of both artists. "I don't know who's concert go to. This is Vanness's first time in Malaysia, but this is Leehom's last stop." Other fans complain that putting the two artists on the same day will draw tension between fans and result in unneccesary comparison between the two.

esmiux, as all i know, rite now there are just a few articles on this drama, not much. it's reported that his drama will be filmed around July of this year, after his drama which will be started filming around April with Zaizai and Ken, i think. first i'm so afraid of this drama will be clashed with his drama wif F2 about shooting time. but rite now it's seems to be alright.
yup, his co-star in this drama will be Park Ji Yoon. the story has been released at its website but in Chinese, hic.... T__T i dunno Chinese and rite now no one translates it then i just get a lil'. the name of this drama is "The Grand Theatre". it takes place in the 1930s. the story is about the ups and downs of this theatre and the artists who belong to it. Vanness's name role is Weiqing, and it's seems to be he's one of said artists. yup, just a few as i said, i dunno Chinese T__T

Vanness Wu had been in the US resting for the past month. Yesterday, he made a "comeback" appearance at Kuala Lumpur to promote his upcoming Genting concert on 3 March.
At the press conference, Vanness revealed that he was in US busy recording his new album. Fans will be excited to know that he'll sing new songs at the concert. And in terms of songs and dance, it's will be slightly different from his Japan concert.
"I think the greatest difference between the Genting and Japan concert is that... i need not sing Japanese songs. Ha... i had a tough time practising."

Back to his album, Vanness expressed that he hope to release his solo album this year. Currently, he's discussing a favourable date of release with the recording company. This time, he participated in writing lyrics and arranging. Also, there's collaboration with Nicky Lee. He and Nicky have always been "Machi", so besides collaborating in his album, Nicky will also be the special guest at Genting concert.

Vanness was full of praises for Nicky, Nicky has very good vocals, he can help me out. Whatever i say, he'll say OK. (Will both of u have any interaction?) We will join forces to make the fans get high.

However, as he was not fully prepared, he forgot part of the lyrics. But fans didn't mind, it was Vanness who admitted he forgot the lyrics.

Former F4 singer wants to earn money to take care of family first

LOVE has no place in Vanness Wu's life right now. 'I hang out with friends, both guys and girls, but I make it a point to not focus my energies on relationships,' the US-born singer-actor said over the phone.

'I have to take care of my family and work, so even if I meet girls I'm interested in or fond of, I won't pursue them. I will just keep them as platonic friends.'

The former member of Taiwanese boy band F4, who ended a two-year relationship with Taiwanese singer Vivian Hsu in 2005, has big career plans lined up this year.

Vanness, who was in threegigs in Tokyo last July, will hold a solo concert in Genting Highlands on 3Mar.

Speaking from Malaysia's casino resort last week, the friendly singer said his show will be a 'big party' filled with 'energy and fun'.

When asked about recent media reports suggesting an F4 reunion drama and a China serial co-starring Korean actress Park Ji Yoon, the 29-year-old singer said that nothing was confirmed yet.

What's certain is that he has finished his long-awaited secondsolo album, set for release thisyear.

His debut R&B album, Body Will Sing, was released in 2002. Last year, he released Scandal, a Mandarin-English-Korean collaboration withK-pop star Kangta.

Vanness said his new album is like a music diary of his life.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, he moved to Taipei to make his acting debut in the popular drama Meteor Garden in 2001. After that, he pursued a solo career in singing and appeared in movies like Star Runner, Dragon Squad.

He is the executive producer for the album, in which he teams up with Machi member Nicky Lee, whom he describes as a 'great friend'. Nicky will be his guest star at the Malaysian concert.

Vanness hopes to visit Singapore to promote his new album and to meet his faithful fans again. He was last here in2003. Vanness said that his Singapore fans have been asking when he will visit, but his work schedule has kept him away.

He joked: 'I blame my company. Please don't hate me. I'll be there soon.'

After his Genting concert, Vanness will work on his two movie roles, one of which is a cameo that he hopes will let him show off some of the Shaolin gongfu skills he mastered in 2004.

The other role is in a comedy action film written by his buddy Jimmy Hung, the son of Hong Kong action star Sammo Hung.

'I'm going to act in it and (Jimmy) can direct it. He's got great vision. Sammo can act in it too.'

When it comes to collaborations, Vanness dreams of uniting Asian musicians to take on the world.

He did the duet Hip Hop Tonight with Hong Kong-born songbird Coco Lee last year and said he would like to work with Japan's Ayumi Hamasaki and Korea's BoA and Lee Hyo Lee.

'It's not about the Korean Wave or the Taiwan Wave, it's about coming together and representing Asia as awhole,' he said.

His goal: To provide for his family in Los Angeles - his parents, two older sisters, older stepbrother, younger half-brother and two younger half-sisters.

Vanness, who spent Christmas with them last year, said: 'I want to take care of them (and) let them live more comfortably.'

For the first time, Taiwanese group F4 will jointly visit Korea

Exploded to fame over the past seven years, that reached their height at the TV serial "Meteor Garden", Taiwanese group F4 members Jerry Yan, Vaness Wu, Vic Zhou and Ken Zhu will now officially visit Korea for the first time.

F4, in their capacity as Taiwanese tourism ambassadors will visit Korea on March 9, after holding their March 7 fan gathering in Tokyo, Japan. They originally planned to hold a similar fan gathering in Korea but it was already canceled, to the regret of many Korean fans.

In addition, there are plans to hold local fan gathering on April 22 in Taiwan, dispelling all rumors of F4 disbanding.

F4 will even unite in Korea for the first time. Last November 2004, F3 Vic, Vanness and Ken attended the Asian Music Fest Awards. while on December 2004, only Jerry attended the M-net Music TV festival. Since then, they hadn’t got a chance to appear as one. But for the first time after 4 years of separation, they regrouped on March 2004 and held their Hong Kong concert in April.

In 2001, F4 has released their first music album "Meteor Rain" and by means of their TV serial "Meteor Garden" they became highly famous. It was followed by the release of "Fantasy Forever" and then the "360 Degrees F4 Five Glorious Years Collection which has a collection of their album songs and interviews composing of 6 discs.

In addition, F4 member Vanness Wu and a Korean actress (Po Zhi Yin) will shoot a TV serial entitled "Huge Theater" on July this year.

Vanness Wu and his ex-girlfriend Vivian Hsu broke up for nearly 2 years. Recently, there are rumours that both of them have signs of patching up. Recently, both working in Beijing, and during the Spring Festival both of them are in Los Angeles, it is an extreme coincidence.

GENTING HIGHLANDS: It takes more than an injured leg to keep a real star down, as Taiwanese heartthrob Vanness Wu proved at the Arena of Stars here on Saturday night.

The singer, who performed with the help of a cane after hurting his right leg in a fall during rehersal earlier in the day, still managed to put on an entertaining show.

Almost 2,000 fans turned up to see their idol in action, including a good number from foreign countries like Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines.

"I apologise to all of you because I am not at 100%, but I want to put on a good show, anyway," said the American-born singer at the start of the concert.

The 29-year-old Wu was in fine form throughout the two-hour concert, performing a good vareity of songs ranging from hits like I Hate Myself, My Body Can Sing and Thinking Ten Of You, to covers of rock songs by Green Day and Queen.

The cane did not seem to hamper him at all, instead he used it to good effect during his elaborate and well-chereographed dance sequences.

Wu is also a member of popular Taiwanese boyband F4, one of the most popular pop groups in Asia in recent years, thanks to the enormous success of their Tv series Meteor Garden.

Dressed in casual wear, it's rare for idol group F4 to comfortably make an appearance, so you can see these 4 men are really in a good mood. Despite the fact that they haven't made an appearance together for a long time, their relationship is as close as it used to be when they meet again.

Using this year's 60 billion industry to calculate, it hopes to bring 4.2 billion worth of business opportunities to Taiwan. The Tourist Office only spent 81 million, that is only a small investement for big earnings.

The Tourist Office found F4 to be spokespeople for Taiwan Tourist spots. The whole promotion plan includes shooting 25 episodes of idol drama. It also invited Meteor Garden's producer, Angie Chai, to write up the script. Angie also revealed that Vic's present girlfriend, Da S (Barbie) will be included.

That year Meteor Garden came out, it not only made F4 popular, it also let the characters of the drama, Vic and Barbie, fall in love. Although Angie already decided the casting, they are not decided definitely. She also did her homework, and she had thought about how to show Taiwan's beauty through the camera lens. To promote Taiwan scenic sights, Angie did all her research. She hoped this idol drama not only shows F4's charms once again, but wished it will place Taiwan, this lovely piece of "Formosa", onto world stage.
