If I'm not wrong... Kungfu Fighter is produced by a company that's owned by Vanness, Jimmy Hung (from Tension), and Machi family... Cause I heard about the production company I think 2 years ago when I read an interview of Jimmy... They want to produce something that they like and not be controlled by companies so they started their own company.

As for his new album, I like the title song and the song let go... I find that his first solo album more captivating. I'm not that into dance songs and I guess my taste is a bit different. But I love the song mama... I love the music, I can't believe V managed to get the song from Jeffrey's hand... I also love the rock song written by Machi didi... I think it really matches V... It reminds me of V in Lee Hom's concert last year in Hong Kong... V danced to Lee Hom's drum beats and it really matched the song, quite rockish...

I heard that F4's name is going to be replaced by the name JVKV Because of authorization problems of Japan? because Japan has filmed the Japanese version of Meteor Garden, there are now 2 F4s.. I was kind of sad to know that they are going to change F4's name since i'm used to the name F4 for like 5 years or so.. It's just their name and to change their name all of a sudden is just weird I guess.. They are being recognized by the name F4, and F4 is somewhat a legend in Asia, so it's uber weird to call them JVKV now.. But we will get used to it I guess..somehow..

F4 Jerry Yan, Ken Chu, Vic Chou and Vanness Wu United to hold
International Fans Meeting in recent

F4 just “United” for an International Fans Meeting in Taiwan. The event attracted more than 4000 Japanese and Korean fans and brought along $1500 million commercial rewards on tourism. Others heard that the four are planning to hold a concert this year. However, both Jerry Yan and the other F3s’ Agencies denied there were such a plan for concert. Despite, they will be “Reunited” again in October for another major event to be held in Taiwan under the Tourist Bureau project.

Idol drama is missing Jerry Yan

Taiwan Tourist Bureau spent $800 million to invite F4 to be its Tourist Ambassador target at Japan and Korea. The project includes idol drama, advertisements and 4 overseas press conference (2 for each in Japan & Korea), and 2 inland events. Vic Chou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu will lead in the idol drama whereas Jerry Yan confirmed will be absent from it.

Last March, F4 had 4 concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum. This year, they joined again to hold international fans meeting for Taiwan Tourism. So far, no plan is set for concerts. The only thing could be confirmed is they will hold another major event in October for the Tourist Bureau in Taiwan. Weather this event will be open to Taiwanese fans is yet to be decided by the organizer.

BEIJING, April 29 -- Fans of Taiwan boy band F4 pay attention: your idols have abandoned their name. They now want you to scream "JVKV" instead.

The group's new name is combination of the first letters from each member's English name.

Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu became extremely sought-after throughout Asia in 2001, following the release of the TV series "Meteor Garden," in which the four young heartthrobs play a group called the "Flower Four."

Angie Chai, the drama's producer, explains that the use of the name F4 was permitted by the Japanese publisher of "Hana Yori Dango," or "Boys over Flowers," the comic book the drama was based on. However, Japan has adapted their own version and now the publisher hopes the name of F4 will no longer be used in unofficial "Hana"-related contexts.

She has acknowledged that changing the band's name is not going to be easy, as "F4" has become deeply rooted in fans' hearts.

After "Meteor Garden," the four boys have been seeking to develop careers in both acting and music - together as well as separately.

In 2001, they signed a record deal as F4 with Sony, and since then, have released two albums.

Each member has also produced solo works already.

JVKV? WTF! o_o I like F4 better Honestly, I don't understand why they have to change their name from F4 to JVKV... Just because there's now a Japanese version of F4 (the ones in HYD? They're not even a permanent group!!! ) And I agree with Chynna... F4 (JVKV?) has been around since 2001, and the japanese F4 has only been around since 2005 (I think) so I don't think they (TW F4) should be the ones that should change the F4 title...

Taiwan;s "Bureau of Tourism" & F4, has cooperated to make a new idol drama"fruit of tears." Jerry Yanchengxu & Zhou Yumin together will be the protagonists. However, there were rumors that Yanchengxu and producer Chaizhi Ping are not really getting along, and has plan to star his own drama "basketball fire." Therefore, he refused to participate in the performances.

The day before yesterday, there were rumors that Yanchengxu's role will be given to another Taiwan Idol Mike He Jun-xiang , and hence forming as the "new F4"has emerged.

As the idol drama is in progress, producers recognized that Chaizhibing, preferred to replace Yan Cheng Xu's role to Mike He .The two sides have talked about it for a month, and also disclosed that there would be two stories, and the other one will star Zhou Yumin and Zhuxiaotian , who will guide the female lead to find her happpiness.; The other story will be with Mike He Jun-xiang and Wu Jian Hao with a female singer as guest performers.

Mike He Jun-xiang is very interested in the story, and his manager said that being able to join the drama is an honor. Mike He just finished filming his other drama and he is currently making an effort to go through the script.

It's not true that Mike will be the new F4 member in real life..They meant that in the 'drama' Mike will replace Jerry's role and become the 'so called new F4 member'..The media just stated like that in the article to get attention And about Jerry not accepting the drama of the Tourism Bureau, it was because he planned to film the other drama earlier..so he doesn't have time to do another drama. Gosh, it looks like the media wants to say bad about Jerry agaaaiiinnn =.='

I'm excited for this drama!! I still prefer Jerry over Mike, but Mike is also very cute and a great actor! <3!

While the world wonders whether Taiwan boyband F4 will be relaunched as JVKV, the attendant release of the foursome's third album and a brandnew idol drama, band number Vanness Wu has been keeping busy.

After his decent debut solo outing, 2002's Body Will Sing, he maintained his visibility through a number of post-Meteor Garden idol drama, before making his crossover to the big screen with Star Runner(2003) and Dragon Squad (2005).

Last year, he collaborated with South Korean singer Kangta on Scandal, a well-received multilinguai urban album which further extended his reach to the K-Pop audience.

And now Wu's sophomore solo release, V.Dubb, is a rollicking ride into booty camp.

For the most part, the album features the production work and compositions of in-demand South Korean R&B producer Jae Chong.

Wu, who contributed lyrics for some songs and rap sequences, does a decent job here, re-affirming his status as possibly the only one in the F4 conhort who can confidently and competently carry a tune.

Fahrenheit to Join the Pepsi Family; Will Conquer Along With Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou

Ever since FAHRENHEIT made their first debut in Taiwan, popularity has followed them wherever they went. Big companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi are also interested in working with them. According to a recent report, Fahrenheit is already prepared to sign a contract with Pepsi, and afterwards, the four boys will officially be part of the Pepsi family. This year, the Pepsi family has made some large changes. Besides CAI YI LIN (Jolin Tsai), KOO TIN LOK (Louis Koo), and YAN CHENG XU (Jerry Yan) being part of the family, "Zai Zai" ZHOU YU MIN (Vic Zhou) also renewed his contract. Fahrenheit, who are always being compared with F4, can finally get a chance to work with half of F4. The rest of F4, WU JIAN HAO (Vanness Wu) and ZHU XIAO TIAN (Ken Chu), will leave Pepsi. In fact, someone has reported that Vanness Wu has a large chance to join Coca-Cola instead.

Fahrenheit member WU ZUN, who is recently the most popular idol in both the Mainland and the island, not only is a hot target for endorsements, but CHOW SING CHI (Stephen Chow) is also keeping an eye on him. Accordingly, to get first dibs on Wu Zun, Stephen Chow has personally contacted Wu Zun's management company, Comic, and requested if he can have Wu Zun to work with him on his new movie at the end of the year. F4 to JVKV IT’S not as catchy as F4 but JVKV is the new name for the Taiwanese boy group.

Angie Chai, the producer who created the 2001 idol drama Meteor Garden that shot the four boys to fame, revealed this in the midst of rumours that she might find a replacement for one of F4’s members, Jerry Yan.

He reportedly dropped out of a new idol drama which Chai is producing for Taiwan’s tourism bureau. She was said to have eyed Taiwanese star Mike Ho as a replacement.

But Taiwan’s United Daily News quoted her as saying: “F4 is changing its name to JVKV, so there is no new F4 to speak of.”

She said only F4’s Vic Chou and Ken Chu could act in the new drama as Yan and Vanness Wu were busy.

F4, a name used in Taiwan’s Meteor Garden series, originated from a Japanese manga. The Japanese publisher had allowed its use in the series, Chai said, but since Japan has come up with its own TV series, both countries end up using the same name.

The publisher had asked for the use of the F4 name to be avoided, outside the Meteor Garden series, Chai added. The name JVKV – standing for the first letters of the boys’ names – was used at an F4 fans’ meeting held in Taipei recently by the tourism bureau.
