I've been looking for Vanness pictures earlier and here we are with a thread! Gah, the boy can dance, haha. And his songs are really good. I saw the video for MY KINGDOM today and it made me giggle in the beginning in the chorus. He's pretty damn good looking too, but I hate when he had that beard and mustache thing going on - - it made him look really old to me (and kinda scary). I don't like him with long hair either. :/

Sing Tao Daily -outside the concert venue, nearly 100 huge baskets sent from all over the world by F4 fans were placed to congratulate them. With regards to the most numbers sent, Jerry Yan had the most, but the most innovative was Vanness Wu's Fans. They had 2 portraits of their idol, a giant cartoon version of Vanness , which was very very eye-catching.


In addition, Zai Zai and Zhu Xiaotian had also alot of flowers, among them are sent from "friends of Zai Zai and Da S" . As there were more than 10,000 Fans who watched, organizers took special measures to enhance security and to prevent taking videos, the audiences must open their bags for checking before admission.

His dance OK la....but a bit nervious during the begining....

Next song was from Meteor Garden, then Vanness' 2 songs and in the 2nd song, he removed his singlet (sando) and boy! he got a very good sculpted body, on all sides his waistline was small, so curvaceous one might think it's a female waist and is abs and biceps are well-developed, much to the delight of the Japanese fans (of course it's much well-appreciated) and not only that, he can dance moonwalk sideways, he's really greater more now in his dancing prowess......

Jerry : Many of the fans here are very warm and passionate. Though we may not necessarily have performed our best, they still give us a lot of encouragement.

Vanness : I feel that Japanese food is very delicious. My favourite food is Japanese. (Q : What's your favourite?) Sashimi, udon, XXX (can’t catch this).

Ken : Have you eaten yet this time?

Vanness : Me? I have.

Ken : Really?

Vanness : I have already gone out to eat.

Jerry said that he has look forward to this for a long time and have been thinking how great if they can hold a concert here. Now this dream has been fulfilled. Then all four of them gave their last greetings to the audience (Super duper Cute!! They were all so HIGH! ).

Vann asked fans who was at the concert yesterday too and who is the 1st time attending the concert.

Vanness Wu sued for fraud, Saturday November 1, 2008 Singapore
Recently, Vanness Wu has been rumoured to be having business trouble. In America, his mother and step-father have been sued for fraud. They have used Vanness's name to get money from their investors, and also refused to let them see the account books, even telling the investor that their money was gone, hence he/she has sued Vanness Wu and his family for business fraud and going back on a contract.

According to an American website, the lawyer representing the investor has expressed that has gotten the evidence to confirm that ever since Vanness's family invested in the beauty franchise, they have taken out every penny.

Vanness manger Katie expressed that Vanness is aware of the situation, but for years he has been giving the money he earned to his parents, and would not ask them how they used it. He has not been in America for a long time. He is not sure about his parents' investment in the beauty franchise, and has not participated in anything.

Chinese American singer Vanness Wu and his family have been sued for fraud by an investor in their beauty franchise in the United States, reports said.

According to a suit filed in June in Los Angeles, Wu's mother and step-father told investors they had lost their money but refused to show them their account books.


Regarding the fraud law suit, he clarified when attended Franklin Graham Festival yesterday. He said he is not too clear about it, and leave it his lawyer to settle.
But when he met his mother in Hong Kong few days ago, he teased her: "why would this happen?", but they did not quarrel becoz of the issue.
As his career is based in Asia and seperated from his family, he was troubled about family relationship until he found God. He still trusts his mum even after the law suit.

who does not know pop-Asian star Vanness Wu?

Inthe Philippines alone, he became a household name as a member of theAsian boy band F4 whose TV series " Meteor Garden " and Meteor Rain"became phenomenal hits as their shows invaded nationwide Pinoy TV.
Whilein Asia, the Taiwanese-American artist is also a recording star as wellas a movie actor whose most recent movie was "The Three Kingdoms:Ressurection of the Dragon." There’s more to expect from Van Ness Wu ashe is working on a number of projects and one of them "LaMB," AnimaxAsia’s first multimedia, multiplatform (for online, mobile andtelevision) and HD original animation production.
Ina phone interview with select members of the Asian press, Vanness saidhe didn’t know how he was chosen to be a part of a big Asian animatedproject like "LaMB" but is nonetheless pleased he was cast. Fortunatelyfor him they were looking for someone who could speak fluent Englishand Mandarin because "LaMB" is going to be dubbed in those languagesamong other versions.
"I’m just very grateful itfell on my lap...when they approached and asked me about it, I waslooking at the artwork and I was looking at the story and I decided itwas a great project to climb on board. It was such a big animationproject," explained the actor who was handpicked for the role.
Hissecond time in voice acting in "LaMB," it is also his first voiceacting in English. So how different is voice acting from regular acting?
"Well,you don’t have to worry about camera angles as much because there’s nocamera," he kidded on the phone. "Sometimes the simple lines like Ilike to get a cup of water. You have to do a couple more takes just toget the proper effect because it is animation. Some of the simple throwaway lines instead you have to be a little bit more specific in the wayyou say it."
He added that one of the biggestchallenges for voice acting was that the artwork was not yet finishedwhen he started dubbing for it.
"There were noactors or actresses that were picked at that time. So pretty much theonly other sound I was hearing was from the vocal producer at the otherroom. She really helped me get into the character and helped get me getmore details of what’s going on the room and things going around andGod Bless her for being so professional," he said.
VannessWu plays Dr. Jack Grisworld. "LaMB" is about the protagonists Jack andEve’s struggle against planet Cerra’s Lamination system of imprisonment— criminals called LaMBs are kept in laminated suits to remainproductive. Yet they remain imprisoned inside their laminated suits.Eve is an ex-scientist serving her sentence in the suit havingaccidentally taken innocent lives in an experiment gone wrong, whileJack is a visiting scientist immersing himself in work to forget hisdead wife. Inadvertently, Jack gets pulled into the political system ofLamination and a romance with Eve.
So does he relate to his character being a pop star or a matinee idol?
Vanness Wu could actually relate to his character since he considers himself, like Dr. Grisworld, a nerd.
Heexpounded, "Growing up, me and my cousins, my cousin is like a bigcomputer engineer guy and we are all into animation and the geekystuffs that some might say but I find it very cool. I was able torelate with him a little bit and I kinda got my cousin’s personality inmy cartoon character."
Though he could notdescribe how he would like himself interpreted if he was an animécharacter, he is simply thrilled to be working in "LaMB."
"Iam very excited about my involvement in Animax’s inaugural animationproduction as it looks set to reach out to Asian youths in a big wayacross multiple media platforms. Jack is a very complex character withmany facets and strong emotions, and I am looking forward to meetingthe challenges to bring him to life in LaMB," said Vanness Wu in aninterview with Animax.
Directed by Ryosuke Tei,from the storyboards Yasufumi Soejima, "LaMB" is slated for a 2009opening. Other international artists involved in "LaMB" are Canadianpop punk band Simple Plan and American rock band The Click Five. Theformer’s "I Can Wait Forever" is the show’s title track.
When asked who is Vanness Wu’s favorite cartoon character, he mentioned a lot but what came to mind was Naruto.
"Because of his heart. He has a great big heart and he believes in something hedreams and he pursues and goes after that no matter what and he doesn’tlet anyone stand on his way," he concluded.

Kanye slot has Wu jumping

Vanness Wu -- one member of the boy band F4, will open at Kanye West's "Glow In The Dark" concert in Shanghai on Monday.

Wu told media that he felt extremely flattered by the invitation.

"I was so excited I jumped in the air when I heard the news," he said.

Wu said he had long admired West and had been to two of his concerts in Hong Kong.

"Kanye West is always surprising audiences. He's filled with passion and endless creativity," Wu said.

The two hip-hop stars will talk about singing together in Chinese and English as soon as West reaches Shanghai.

Wu said he would play new songs and also perform his old songs in new ways.

Taiwanese-American superstar Van Ness Wu makes thousands of fans screaming over his sleek stage presence. Little do they know that this former F4 heartthrob considers himself as a nerdy kind of guy.

In a phone interview with Standard Today to promote an Animax’s first-ever high definition animation movie made for TV, Van Ness made this interesting revelation.

“I’m a big dork and a bit of a nerd. When I was young my cousins and I were too involved with gadgets and we were all crazy over animation. But I found it very cool because I was with my cousins and we enjoyed what we were doing,” explained Van Ness who does not have an accent similar to other Asian actors.

He will be lending his voice to the all-animé TV network’s first multimedia multiplatform, original animation production for online, mobile and TV entitled LaMB. It is a full-length animated movie to be produced under the Singapore Economic Development Board and SPE Networks-Asia Joint Production Fund with a startling production budget of $6 million.

LaMB, which is based on the award-winning script submitted by Filipino amateur writer Carmelo Juinio to the Animax Awards 2007 pan-Asia scriptwriting contest, is also set to star another Asian artist and rock star, Josie Ho, as voice actor to a villainess role. She will dub the movie in English and Cantonese.

Van Ness is providing English and Mandarin dubs. It is his first attempt to voice-act in English and second in Mandarin.

“There wasn’t any audition, the producers of the project just approached me and I thought it was a privilege. They needed an actor who can speak both in English and Mandarin so my name popped up,” Van Ness, who is also a big fan of Japanese animé Naruto and Walt Disney’s classic character Pinocchio, answered when asked if he went on auditions before getting the plum role.

Van Ness will face the challenges in bringing to life the character named Jack, a scientist who is on a roller-coaster ride with his emotions, starting with the pain and despair of moving on after the loss of his wife, the struggle against the system of virtual imprisonment and a doomed romance with a female prisoner named Eve.

“I am very excited about my involvement in Animax as it looks set to reach out to Asian youths in a big way. The only challenge is that I need to study the character so I could deliver the lines with a heart. Right now, everything is not yet finished and we are still doing a lot of adjustments,” the 30-year-old star enthused.

Currently in production at Singapore-based animation studio Peach Blossom Media and concept art house Imaginary Friends Studios, LaMB is being directed by Ryosuke Tei, ex-creative director of Japanese design agency Furi Furi, with storyboards by Yasufumi Soejima, formerly from famed animé studio Gonzo. It will premiere on the TV network across Asia early 2009.

While LaMB represents Van Ness’ first attempt at voice-acting for animation in English, he is no stranger to manga and animé having shot to fame in Asia playing a handsome and suave university student in the wildly popular Taiwanese idol drama series in 2001, Meteor Garden, Meteor Rain, and Meteor Garden II.

Van Ness is best known as a teen idol and singer of Taiwanese Mando-pop music group “F4” now known as “JVKV.” With “F4,” Van Ness released three music albums, and has produced two albums individually including Body Will Sing (2002) and V. DUBB (2007). He has also collaborated with international and regional musicians including Beyoncé Knowles, Coco Lee, and Wang Lee Hom.

His acting credits include a part in epic period movie Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon (2008), as well as roles in TV drama series Peach Girl (2002), Say Yes Enterprise (2004), and Wish to See You Again (2008).
