i was wondering where the mma threads were. anyone else a fan of this sport? i use to watch ufc, but now i watch pride because i think they have overall better fighters. Fedor Emelianenko is currently my favorite fighter

I love Crocop, Dana white announced that wanderlei was fighting chuck liddel in november.

I'm more of a Pride FC fan than UFC. I'm a big fan of Takanori Gomi.
Matt Hughes is a monster in the UFC octagon too.
I never really got into the K1, but I've seen highlight reels of a lot of people, and I have to say that Ernesto Hooste is one bad mother f***er

The UFC special last weekend was brutal. Ortiz / Shamrock was a joke, as was the Silvia / Arlovski bout.

Probably the 2nd best pound for pound MMA fighter next to Fedor. This is a pretty awesome highlight reel of his fights. He fighting style is so aggressive, his opponents almost always look so timid in comparison.

Pretty much the coolest highlight film you'll ever see. He's definitely one of the best fighters in Japan. He has a very unique way of fighting and he pretty much breakdances in the middle of a bout to throw off his opponent. He lost to Kid Yamamoto not too long ago in their much anticipated fight, but most fans agree that the fight was stopped prematurely.

Genki Sudo fought in the UFC.
And Crocop knocked out Mark Hunt in K1 with a LHK I think. That was their first fight. The second fight Crocop lost because his foot was injured and he was sick.

genki sudo must be annoying if ur an opponent but its really entertaining to watch him if ur a fan hehe

i got to see most of the fights for UFC 100
but as soon as it was time for the lesnar vs mir, my free live stream got disconnected
heard it was a brutal beatdonw for mir
he deserved it for all that trash talk

trash talking is a way to hype up the fight.

Brock was an ass though after the fight. He continued talking trash to Frank after the fight was over, gave the middle finger to him and the crowd (they boo'd him).

He even said in the interview with Joe Rogan, that he was going to go home and "maybe get on top of my wife tonight" lol

btw his wife is Sable I thought she was Steve Austin's wife lol

Well Brock was kinda braggin after the fight which almost started another fight but theres a reason for that. Mir is such a trash talker and Lesnar never talks mini cooper but Lesnar had the right to say what he did because he in fact won the fight. The crowd booed him because of what he said to Mir post K.O so he middle fingered them as he doesn't give a crap about haters since he is the Heavy Weight Champion. But still i have to say Lesnar has come a long way since his last fight with Mir which he should have won if he wasn't so clueless to submissions. Lesnar is probably gonna stay champion for a while. I really want to see Lesnar vs Lashley. That would be a good fight.

And for GSP..great way to represent Canadians and he truly is an amazing wrestler and taking opponents down. His defense is amazing as well.. but ya i won money so im happy

what? Lesnar talks a lot of trash. He talked trash even before his very first fight. He kinda reminded me of how he acted when he was a heel in the WWE.

i feel bad for my friend who paid $50 just to watch a 2-round match between Lesnar and Mir. GSP is awesome, but the match between him and Alves was boring. I never was into UFC, but I think I'm a fan now.

kenny doesn't stand a chance... c'mon guys let's be honest. Kenny can't submit BJ, and that's if he takes him down. He has more versatile striking, but it's gonna be rendered inert by BJ's ultra-thick skin and bone (when's the last time you've seen BJ stunned by strikes (not gnp)? He can't be cut. This matchup really reminds me of Hendo vs. Bisping. There's nothing Bisping can really do to BJ.

I actually think the Silva Griffin fight might be slightly more competitive, if Forrest does the smart thing(??? even that's debatable) by taking him down every now and then and wearing him down if he's in danger.

Next up, Dream and AFFLICTION (Long Live the King)

and if you follow bj's blog, he's looking more ripped than ever for this fight. and after 101, can't wait for Affliction and the Strikeforce event, Overreem finally defending his belt, can't say the same for Cung Le, how long has it been? and the re-rematch of Jacare and Mayhem at Dream 10. Mach Sakurai fights on that card too right?

BJ doesn't need to be anything. BJ could be Tubs McGee and still beat the living crap out of Kenny. I am a BJ fan, but I put in a LOT of money on GSP. It was obvious what would happen. It was OBVIOUS what would happen in the latest Hendo fight too. I told my friend to bet his first-born son if he had one hidden away somewhere. I worship Fedor and i put down some money on Arlovski for his striking capacity. Bj's fight with Kenny is at an assured level just one tier lower than the Hendo/Bisping fight. It's almost a guarantee.

For people that think that Kenny can win, I'd like to hear a scenario. Exactly how is it going to happen? I can imagine something like clandestine eye poke, high kick, knees for an early stoppage.

oh i know, BJ is practically unstoppable at 155. but this is the best shape i've seen him entering a fight. hopefully this means that he is taking this fight seriously. and if he does win, maybe his next fight could be here in Hawaii, since MMA regulation is hopefully going to be approved soon.
