i was rank number 3 out of 324. the person ranked number one had a 5.0 weighted gpa. i had a 4.71 weighted.

^they mainly show your class rank on your transcripts

i dont think they show class rank on report cards; or that's just what i think cuz all i've seen were vegas reports cards haha ^^;;

Umm..

i ranked 34 out of 4o3 students and my GPA is 4.25 with my honors classes. i dont know how much it is with my AP class. :\ but they said they wont count it in my school or something. i dunno =.=

iuno my private college weighted gpa, cuz our transcript only shows UC weighted...it's like 4.35 or something last time i checked (end of soph year)

I'm ranked 23 out of 450ish. In Hawaii they show our ranks on our report cards at the end of every semester

for this semester of junior year: 4.00 unweighted. 4.67 weighted.
cumulative gpa: 3.83 unweighted. dropped my first 4.0 streak first semester of junior year.

We don't have GPA at NZ and I've no idea of my rank for any subjects other than mathematics. For the end of year exams last year I think I was around 5th out of a few hundred students quite bad T_T

good lord. lol. you're so lucky. i had a 3.86 (unweighted) at the end of junior year and i was only ranked 32nd out of 334. o.O

and my girlfriend graduated with a 3.957 unweighted, and she didn't even make top 5% of class.

Small school. My school has this weird way with grades and I don't know how I got 8th. I was supposed to get like 4th or 5th.

And it doesn't really have a GPA system. The report card says "New GPA: 156.4" o.0 .... well my average was a 98.0

the GPA's that people are listing are just their cumumlative grades averaged out according to this scale. however, it's a skewed because some people have AP/IB classes that are weighted out of 5.0 or some that are 4.5 or 4.1. others have honors classes that are weighted, while many others do not. further still, some people don't have weighted GPAs at all regardless of the amount of AP/IB/Honors courses that they take, simply because of the way their school district/state policies are laid out. this is why people are posting both their weighted and unweighted GPAs.

oh btw, is it true in canada that an 88 is an A? if so... my GPA would be MUCH higher. lol.

My weighted GPA dropped to 4.36 from a 4.67 this semester. Last time I checked I was ranked 6th.

that is actually a really good idea. too bad at my school, we use the 4.0 scale which is why we end up with 25+ valedictorians.

I have a 4.1 and I'm like rank 250/500. I hate my high school. Damn smarties.

I really hate the ranking system. Anyone with a 4.0 is technically rank 1. But any person who takes easy classes and not challenging ones can be rank 1 then.



People should not waste their time weighing their grades. Colleges don't look at them. They look mostly at cummulative GPA, with emphasis on grades 10 and 11.
