I like Wolfmother. Good music. When I first heard one of their songs, I don't know which one since I'm not a big fan, I thought it was good, but kind of thought that they'd never really be big in the US. I'm eating my words now though. LOL
annieee
Wolfmother rules.

one of my few favourite aussie bands.

are they big in the us now ?

how awesome , i had no idea !

they got famous because of a competition on jjj [radio station in aus] , and they had a few hits and then ran off to make it big in the states - i didn't think they'd have made it already ohmy.gif

Well, they're not super-duper big...yet, but they are getting quite popular here. They had their own concert special after the Mtv Movie Awards, which shocked the heck out of me. And then a few video music channels have been playing their vids a lot. That and a lot of people are going around telling each other about Wolfmother. Glad that they're getting big. They deserve it!

plus talking about it here DEFINITELY helps with spreading the word and their music seems to hold people really well =) im glad. yea theyve been getting a lot of radio play with WOMAN so hopefully that opens the door to more of their stuff.

Wolfmother are a great band and show the rest of the world just how good Australian music really is.
'minds eye' got stuck in my head for days on end until i finally downloaded it...
they're live stage footage is regularly shown on Rage on Friday nights and they're very energetic!
and yeah, they're gradually increasing their popularity nowdays by playing at major festivals aruond the world, for example they're playing in the Fuji Rock Fest this year...which is awesome.

By accident I turned to Mtv2 earlier and by accident they were actually playing music videos that are more than just Eminem, Ashlee/Jessica Simpson, Kanye West, and Lindsey Lohan. Wolfmother's "Woman" was number 6 on the countdown. Don't know what kind of countdown that was, because I didn't stay long enough to watch the rest, but I was happy to see them on a countdown no less. I've seen the music video plenty of times, but everytime I see it I need to point out to someone how freakin' hot the lead singer is, afro of hair and all. Yum! laugh.gif
