5 years later, Haruto would have already become a doctor.
Maybe ... he showed up later?
Think about it, that moment was brief.
Who knows...
He might have been doing some intensive research to cure that 'spinocerebellar atrophy'.
It would've been more meaningful to have Haruto at the grave.
So he can cry his sexy eyes out. Darn...

I really don't think he died.
Although its quite questionable why Haruto was in that scene with her standing and playing basketball.
That scene never happened too. There was something SIMILAR but her legs were not function well that time.

I think its because in her journal or whatever, she said she had a dream where she was running and playing basketball,
and how she wished to experience love and stuff. I think that whole fantasy was a "WHAT IF" situation.

I think that the director couldn't realistically get the siblings and Haruto to look "aged"
But, they could've just make the actor Ryo wear classes, and BAM! thats 5 years added to his looks.

Yes Haruto this character is really fictional. It doesn't even exist in Aya's life. The director probably feels that dramas shld at least have some love interest in the show so that it'd spice up the drama. Afterall everyone loves to watch romance. Even the crush (basketball player) that Aya initially had was fictional. Aya was never good in basketball so she would never have like that senior. The drama changed the story quite a lot as in Aya already fell on her chin when she was 15 years old and not when she was in high school. And she had already went to hospital to do therapy when she just entered high school which was 16 years old. So far, I have read her diary halfway through her age 16.

Ahhh, this is really a touching drama.
Basically, a little bit of the synopsis is on the first page, but the main female character has got a horrible incurable disease that makes her unable to control her own body and instincts and such. So she learns about it but she can't do anything about it.. To prevent myself from ruining this, I suggest you download and watch or something. You won't regret it. & speaking of downloading... does anyone think they can either repost or give & send me the links for the drama? (x Lost it. >.<

Erika and Ryo are so cute together......
and Aya-san....she is such a strong person....she never gave up until the end....
and her family are so supportive...her okasaan....is so strong too.......!

After finishing this drama...i realized how hard it is for someone to carry an incurable disease....

I'm watching this drama AGAIN !!! But i find it EXTREMELY HARD to get to the last ep because I already know what's gonna happen!! This is THE DRAMA!! i think everyone who has posted have already emphasized how sad this drama is so, it won't hurt if i do it too! EXTREMELY DEPRESSING drama this is and it left me depressed for a little while.

XP, where she can't be expose to direct sunlight or else she would die...**there's also a movie version. YUI played Erika's part**
I would recommend you all to watch that drama...its a really good drama....

I didn't cry until I got to episode 3, at the very end, when she asked, "This disease...why did it choose me?"

This is a really beautiful drama, I think the fact that it's a true story makes me feel even worse ToT

omg. i juss finished watchign this! o_0. it was soo sad. and its based on a real life story which makes it even more sad!! this drama was good.. it makes u think about what u really have but not really appreciating it. at first, i took it as a romantic drama but in the end, it really wasnt! it was more inspiring and more of reality. gosh..iono.. it was my first japanese drama.. so yeh.. i cudnt get used to everything sinc ei was so used to korean ones. haha. =]

I don't really love dramas because I have not time for stuff above 5 episodes, but One litre of tears was in my interest, especially to see the beautiful Erika Sawajiri in a dramatic environment. Well, I've found the whole serie, but none of my episodes have subtitles. This drama is sleeping on a CD since last summer, I've never found any subtitle for it. Strange thing.

^i think it's because the drama's hardsubbed. i never saw softsub link for this drama. it's either raw or hardsubbed. so if you really wanna watch this, dl the hardsubs. <3 which i tell you is worth it! ^^;

I don't know if they plan to do that one day, that could be a good idea owing how popular is this drama now. More and more people, not only english reading people are in the scoop of being interested by it. I will say that I'm still moaning with my episode bundles (Raw and english) but still stuck in a dead end if I'll like to propose this drama for non english readers. I'll really love to see fansub stop "thinking" that english is worldwide and no needing to diffuse soft subs of their own.
