Does anyone know where I could watch the MOVIE ver.??

I totally fell in love with this drama!
I was so inspired that I bought two of her books that I can't even read!
well.. I'm learning Japanese right now.. but it's not something I could just read for fun...
ANyhow, I was so inspired that I kind of looked into the actors and I was so disappointed after finding out how RUDE erika is!!
I have to admit.. she is one TALENTED actress, props for that. But DANG! jsut from what I saw, she has some issue with media or something..
watching those bitchy.rude video clips of her.. I was so shocked she could pull such act!
Still inspired, but a bit disappointed i guess

;;
Weird, but I still like Erika.. only in the drama~ haha

I watched this drama like 3 times now, and every time I still cry buckets of tears - even in the special (which in my option was pretty pointless since the majority was just a recap of the drama itself....but whatever lol).
I really want to read the book that the original Aya wrote. I hope somewhere down the line they translate it.

this is honestly one of the saddest dramas ever made. well mainly because it's based on a true story. which makes it even more emotional for me. nonetheless i loved it even though i looked like this red poofy thing after watching the whole drama, LOL.

I like it. It's so sad though. A incurable disease is the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone. No matter how hard they struggle to survive, in the end they still die.

This was one of the most touching dramas I've ever watched. I pretty much cried during each episode! Even the SP was really sad. And I'm planning to watch it again because it was so well-made.

Exactly.. how sad is this drama? Scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest ranking. lols
I'm afraid that when I finish it, I'm going to be blowing my nose every 2 seconds. TT-TT haha

I cried till i couldnt cry anymore. There are no words to express how beautiful and inspiring this drama was. However, it was a bit frustrating for me as a future occupational therapist because of the things that I would have done for her to help her with her everyday living. Recently, with all the stress I've been dealing with in OT school, I ask myself every now and then why I still wanted to do OT and after watching this, I think I have finally found my reason. After juggling 8 classes and fieldwork, after the all-nighters and trying to meet the demands of every professor, after all my sacrafices and ongoing efforts, after putting up with all this pressure from graduate school, I know it will be worth it in end because in the end, it is all about the patients and how GOOD it will feel to make a difference in their lives.
Thank you Aya for helping me see my profession in a new light. :]

I watched this!
My room mate and I had a One Liter of Tears Marathon...
We watched from Ep3 until the Final Ep... STRAIGHT!
God. We couldn't stop crying..
Actually we were not crying anymore, we were practically bawling... We couldn't breathe! LOL
Just when we thought that we do not have enough tears to cry our hearts out anymore, another dramatic scene will be shown and there we were... bawling again...
Ryo is <3. ^^

they might not have always mentioned it in the drama tho.

I remember when I was watching this drama, I only can handle to watch 1 ep/1day. It's too sad, I feel so sorry for Aya, for her family, friends and Asu ... but I admire Aya's willingness, she's strong even though she has a uncured disease

This is the series i bawled like there's no tmr.
especially even if one episode is not really sad,the ending song showing all the real images and clips of the real Aya,i always cry.Too heartbreaking for me to see the real her in those awful conditions.
I can never forget her last pic, which she holds up her fist and seems to tell us "Hwaiting!".woah..even thinking of that,i feel like tearing alr..
anybody knows if there's an english version of her diaries out??i want to buy and read her feelings.

I watched this last year, I think around october.
I didn;t cry as much as I expected but I did get teary-eyed a few times.
After I watched it, I was like, I should really love my life, then I got over it
and now I'm back to not caring again.

i never thought it would turn out into one of the most beautiful drama I've ever seen.

There's no doubt that this series is very high in emotion but I dunno why I didn't really like it. Maybe cause it's so overdramatic or overrated now. I should probably watch it again to really REALLY get a grip on everything. As far as first dramas go, this is really good.

When I watched this drama I was just curious. I'm not known for watching melodramas because my tearducts would not easily stop once I started. But after watching I was hooked! Aya was so strong and Asou slowly fell in love to the point where he had a hard time moving on when Aya died! The fact made me cry in the SP!

I really liked this drama, to be honest. It was really touching. Not only that, but I love the chemistry between Ako and their father. (:
Also, does anyone actually know if Aya Kito's diary was translated to English or not?
elexis
May 4 2008, 02:11 AM
There are some fans who started translating it in english. Here are the web sites:
http://www.xanga.com/OneLitre - from chapter one, very understandable translation.
http://diaryofaya.blogspot.com/ - from chapter three, currently this translation is a few chapters ahead. Not so well translated, but you can still understand what Aya was trying to say.
P.S. By the way, does anyone know where I can download the movie "1 litre of tears"? The cast is different, but I've read that it's very realistic and much closer to the real story, therefore I really want to see it.

This is honestly the best drama I've seen based on a true story.
In my opinion, this beats Titanic and Hellen Keller by a mile.
I've never cried over any TV series or a movie so much in my life.
And it was the little things that I could relate to that made this drama very unique.
Anyway, I would recommend eveyone to watch it

it was totally late when i discovered one litre of tears through my friend. i regretted skipping over this drama, jeez, i wanted to hit my head. LOL. one litre is the first show i've watched where in i had to cry in every freaking chapter. the scenes were sadly realistic, plus the cast's acting was superb. the music adds to the heart-werenching-ness of it all. to find out that such disease actually exists kind of pulled me back to reality.
nishikido ryo.. man, he should marry me. LOL. just because. xD

Yeah I need to buy this drama! I keep telling everyone in my family to watch it but no one wants to cause its sad.
But I keep telling them that even though its sad...its a beautiful kind of sad.
Its so inspiring and touched my heart and soul like no other drama has.
I'm just scared of buying it and it having bad subtitles.
Everyone should watch this drama and experience it for themselves...they won't regret it!!!!!

i just finished this drama yesterday. it's SO SAD.... seeing her struggle to walk, write, then talk makes my heart bleed. i feel her family's pain. when i listen to the theme song, i would think about how aya cries. i cried SO many times watching this drama. my eyes were so sore. =/
it's a touching drama to watch!

This is truly THE saddest drama I have ever watched...and it being based on a true story is even more heart-breaking.
I went through 2 boxes of tissues when I watched this ><
I bought it off ebay & (the seller had screencaps of the drama + the HQ subs) & it's definitely one of my favorite dramas to watch. Even though it makes me cry, it makes me so much more appreciative of my life.
