I watched it last year and I really like it . I teared at some parts. I thought the guy was really sweet, still staying by her side even when he found out about her. I like how he told the patient at the end of the story about him and her.

I keep listening to "Only Human" by K but I can't help but think that Jaejoong has sang this song before.
Maybe at a concert or something? Or is there a song that starts similarily which Hero has sung?
Or am I just hearing things XD

I kept avoiding this drama even though I heard it was good but now I'm totally glad I'm watching it!!

I promised myself I wouldn't watch this over Christmas because I'd be bawling my eyes out, but I couldn't resist. I finally finished the last episode + special episode last night (around past midnight). The amount of tissues I needed and the fact that I had to have a tissuebox beside me throughout this drama really shows how compelling it is - I don't usually like to be sappy and emotional, but this drama really hit home. The actors and actresses were so amazing at conveying their emotions (honestly, all of them did an outstanding job... I cannot pick any faults with any of the cast at all!!) and I couldn't help but feel so touched and inspired too. This drama is really, really brilliant in all aspects and for those who haven't watched it, I would definitely recommend that you do (although maybe not over Christmas the way I did)!
It really makes you treasure and value life just that little bit more - every single portrayed emotion and thoughts running through the minds of the characters could be felt. Overall, One Litre of Tears is just a really breathtaking, awe-inspiring and heart provoking drama. I certainly don't regret watching it despite all the tears I shed during the progression of each episode and the now current state of my swollen eyes on Christmas day, LOL.

P.S -- Ryo was especially easy on the eyes, hahaha. laugh.gif Whenever he shed tears, like a chain reaction I did too... and like another poster above, I wanted Asou and Aya to marry before she died as well. Too bad it was only wishful thinking!

It's definitely one of my favorites j-dramas!! It's a lesson for life.
I think everybody should watch it.
A lot of people would stop complain about stupid things.

Can anyone upload the links for these three songs?

Konayuki - Remioromen

Only human - K

March 9th - Remioromen

BTW, beautiful drama. I only have the 11th episode left, and I know I will need a box of tissues by my side...very touching, this drama truly teaches us as the audience to cherish each of life's moments and to live each day to the best of our abilities.

I just watched episode 1 - 11 last night *I fast forwarded some scenes* and from episode 4/5 - 11 I was crying continiously!! It was a touching story, everytime i hear the theme song, my tears kept falling..
When I woke up, my eyes were totally swollen from crying.
I love 1 Litre of tears, why did it took me long to watch this drama
Erika Sawajiri was really good, and RYO was soooooo cute! I love ryo (again)

I'm watching this currently on the 10th episode. And there wasn't one episode starting from episode 5 that I didn't cry. I can somewhat relate with Aya so the effect on me is somewhat hard. I love how she always smile despite her disease. And the quotes are really great. I like how they would post the real Aya's picture at the end of each episode. And I kinda like Ryo already. ^^

Seeing this thread again makes me feel a little nostalgic. tongue.gif

I like this drama mostly because it's different than let's say Hana Kimi because that's so outrageous (but it works for that series anyway). I like how this is just no nonsense and very...real? Yeah. tongue.gif

I simply remember watching this entire drama a year ago, and honestly I think I literally cried 1 litres worth of tears here, it was undeniably sad! Though funnily enough, I loved this drama, I think it was the first time ever for me to have cried so much in a drama. The story line was so tragic but the characters were very lovable! Everyone sort of contributed to the sadness of this series I think, from the protagonist to her family and friends and to her classmates, everything was just so heart-wrenching!

I'm not really into these genres but I think no matter how tragic it was, it was what ultimately made it incredibly unforgetful.

So many of my girlfriends told me, "I literally cried 1 Litre of Tears! It's too sad!"
But when I watched it, I didn't cry. :x
The most I got was a slight tearing up in my eyes.

Ahh, maybe 'cos I knew about the actress' media troubles? And I couldn't feel sorry for her?

In any case, I think Ryo did an awesome job!
^o^
Painterlyy
I didn't cry 1 litre of tears...but this was definitely really sad. 2 thumbs up smile.gif

I decided to watch this last night just because...

I realized how much I adored this drama and its ost. Again, I cried endlessly, and much more than ever, is very inspired.

This is my 4th times watch it, last time was a year ago.

Aya's story is really special. For her to write in her diary and sharing it is really touching. Even though she continued to write until she couldn't hold the pen because it meant she was alive, I thank her. Aya is a brave soul and I ask, why did the disease choose her? But then if it didn't, then we wouldn't have never known about the meaning of "living" through her words and that being healthy, having friends, being able to write, and to move around freely is a gift. I am sad that the drama ended the way it did but I'm happy I finished it because I needed this "feeling" now that the school year is ending and I will become a senior next year; dealing with college stuff has almost made me give up [but not in suicidal/depressed-way haha]. Now, I have the inspiration to study hard this weekend and ace my finals. Thank you Aya for showing us that life is beautiful and that we should make use of it. And thank you Aya's mom and Fuji TV for sharing her story with us. RIP Aya. Keep smiling wherever you are.
Aiyla.-

Everytime I listen to "Konayuki" by Remioromen, I just want to cry. I always get the same wistful, bittersweet and nostalgic feeling when I hear it.

As for the drama, I rarely bawl when I watch movies, tv shows, etc. But when I watched this one episode, I was just bawling my eyes out when my roommate walked in on me finishing up my tissue box ><
eggball

Ah I remember watching this a while back.
Most touching drama I've seen. Cried throughout the whole drama, but episode 8 was the saddest for me.
Sad to think that a girl actually had to go through this in real life D: ~~

I'll probably rate it 8 out of 10.

I finish this drama in a week! Its so sad! I started crying in the second episode lol xD. Every episode made me wanna cry but i tried to kept it in because i didn't want my parents to think i was weird. The movie special i mean of it was okay. It would've been much better for Haruto to actually retell the story and see how he feels instead of watching flash backs,
