with each eps thats released, this series gets more and more serious and heart wrenching, i cant wait for eps 6, it looks really strong,

i have to wait for jpopsuki to let me dl the file and then i have to wait til midnight tonight to dl, because once my day cap runs out (and i'm only 800mb away from that and its only 16 days into the month =.=") then i don't have access to my cable rate at night =.=" and that's 24gigs just sitting there on top of the 12 gigs i have during the day.

Omg, I just watched ep 5, and cried buckets again. This drama just gets sadder and sadder by each episode. No wonder the title is called "A litre of tears" as the drama really really makes you cry...hard. Well, at least it applies to me as I'm a very emotional person. Uhm, what should I say... episode 5 was good. Anyways, I've been making predictions as I watch along. For this drama, I know it does not base entirely on romance like Sekai Chuushin, however, I'm always curious about what's going to happen between Haruto and Aya later on in the drama. We're now halfway through it, and for some strange reason, I'm getting very comfortable to see Haruto and Aya as friends who help out each other in time of need. Haruto has become like a very close friend to Aya, as he is the only one that Aya tells everything about herself to. I can see that both of them are getting comfortable around each other, to the point that I don't want them to fall in love. It's strange that I feel this way, but somehow, I just want them to remain friends.

I can't wait for ep 6. It's getting sooo good now, and a lot more tears T______T; Btw, Ryo-kun is the hotness <3333.

i haven't cried yet ~ but then it's gonna get sadder and sadder >_<
the cast does a good job~ just not too comfortable seeing Ryo always with same expressions~~ haha

hm... i just watched episode 1 last night. i gotta say, the daym drama is addicting LOLs. its good!

i watched ep4 + 5 and that was way too sad for me. i want to see the whole drama all at once...so so bad. altho i haven't cried yet it's really really sad...leaves me wanting to cry.

i did get misty eye over Aya's sister's reaction to the situation. her sister is a strong girl.

i like how they are building Aya and Asou's relationship on friendship and jokes. It's also sweet how Asou truly cares about Aya (as a friend)...wonder if it has to do with his bro. don't know much about his bro's story... also Asou must mean something to Aya cause he's the only one that she talks about her disease to or her weakness also...i think she actually draws strength from him like in the scene where he's there when she talks to her senpai.


sometimes i have to ready myself before watching cause each ep hits the heart deep down...and after a ep i leave feeling so sad (but not depressed).

I just watched episode 6 raw...I skimmed through it coz I can't really understand it but I still cried...
It was so sad....Aya is such a strong person...even when she was upset and stuff she just hid it and pretended like everything was alright..it's such an inspirational drama...but so sad.....I'm dreading the ending....

Summary of episode 6
sorry if it's long... I got carried away =.="

The episode started off by showing Aya and her mother Shiuka talking a walk and Aya is having more trouble in walking. They two of them saw Hiroki practicing soccer nearby and he told then how much he wishes to participate in the upcoming soccer competition and he wants Aya to go watch them. Aya taught him the key to being able to shoot a goal is to do image training.

After the practice, Ganmo rans off and Hiroki went to chase him. After catching up with Ganmo, he over hears two ladies talking about what a great girl Aya is and how she was good at school and sports, but for some reason she ended up with this rare disease.

Aya is back in the hospital again for rehabilitation and check up. Shiuka tells Mizuno how Aya is becoming more optimistic lately and how she thinks Aya might have a chance of recovery. Mizuno at first told her that he thinks there hasn't been much progress in the disease, until he read that Aya has recently choked while eating. He hid his concerns from Shiuka by just telling her that it takes some time for the medication to have an effect

At home, Dad comes back in to tell the family that the tofu shop might have a chance to be able to sale in the local super market. Aya apologizes and said it was because of her that the sales have gone down. Dad told her that she was being silly and he was confidence in his tofu.

In school, Haruto asks Aya to give her a hand with the biology club and ask her to help out for the upcoming outdoor observation, claming she has nothing to do anyways. Tomida and her friends saw this. And Tomida's friend warned Tomida that if she wasn't careful, Haruto might be stolen away by Aya.

The super market boss doesn't want to buy in any Ikeuchi Tofu. Dad begs him but he still refuses. But it turns out the son of the boss is Aya's classmate Onda Kouhei. He reminded his dad that who Aya's dad is. He pityed Aya's dad because of Aya's condition and allowed him to sale his tofu in the shop from the next day onwards

In the hospital, Mizuno looks up details on another doctor who specializes on research regarding with patients below 20 years old who has the disease. He asks the theorpist to introduce him to the other doctor and shared his concerns about how Aya's disease is progressing faster than they predicted

On the way home, the bus came. Aya couldn't run fast enough so the bus had to wait for her at the stop for awhile. When she got onto the bus, people were giving her strange looks and it made her feel uncomfortable.

The coach for Hiroki's soccer team announced that Hiroki will be playing in the next competition. His friends asks him why he has improved so much. Hiroki proudly told them that his sister taught him and bragged about how perfect Aya is. But when he gets home, he told Aya that she doesn't need to go watch the competition because it was far away. Aya insists on going and she took Hiroki's team shirt to sew his name onto it.

Dad tells mom how the supermarket boss only accept their tofu out of pity. Mom explained that there is nothing wrong with that. Because when people pity others, they take up others pain and sadness as their own and feels pain and sadness with them. She expressed that she hopes that Aya can get passed other people's discriminations and relised that there are those who really care about her around her.

Aya and Ako went shopping to buy a new towel for Hiroki. A teammate of Hiroki sees them and was shocked by the way that Aya walks. He then goes back to Hiroki and bullies him for having a sister who can't even walk properly. Hiroki goes home and tells Aya that she doesn't need to go the watch his competition because he might even be playing.

The next day, Ako goes to bring some stuff to Hiroki at his soccer practice. The boy once again bullies Hiroki saying that he at least have one sister that can walk properly. Ako got angry at the boy and pushed him over, but she was angrier at Hiroki for not saying anything to defend Aya. Ako draggs Hiroki home and asked him why is he so ashamed of Aya. She told him how much she admires Aya's courage for being able to be so optimistic and still being able to smile even when others give her funny looks and talk behind her back. She also shows Hiroki how Aya has sewed his name onto his jersey and asked Hiroki can he sacrifice so much for Ako. Aya overheard all of this. When she comes back, she lied and said that she will be busy during the competition day and won't be able to watch Hiroki's game.

Aya tells Haruto how she doesn't care about how others look at her, but at the same time she forgot to consider how Hiroki feels and how he must have been in a lot of pain too. Haruto tells her that she should go to the game because Hiroki is really regretting what he did and he also told her that a boys heart is easily hurt.

On the day of the competition, Aya still refuses to go. Hiroki left a card on Aya's table and asks her to please go. Aya finally agress to go. When the family arrives at the soccer ground, Hiroki proudly told his friends that Aya was his sister. Aya then thought that through all the discriminative looks she gets, she understands that there are still some people who really care for her.

Closing words: Therefore I won't runaway. That's what I'll do. Definitely. Always

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this. No doubt, the whole drama is really sad, but it never leaves viewers feeling depressed at the end. You feel sad, but at the same time you feel hope. It's such an inspirational drama you just want to cheer each character in there on and on. There's no bad character in here, even the sempai didn't appear as a bad person to me, he's just immature and confused, and I can totally understand his reactions. Not everyone can be so big hearted to accept everything, you know.

That maybe because he is a fictional character therefore he does not have much scenes as the drama is basically on Aya fight this illness. Personally I wish that Haruto have more scenes as well.

What I've read at the end of the credits, the story is based on an original(true) story, but all of the people and places in this drama are fictional.

they slightly changed the character names for drama and that had to add that discliamer so that people won't sue them I guess.
But yah Haruto's character is not even in the original story. Her mother requested the producer of the drama to add Haruto in, so that her daugher will have a chance to fall in love... even if it's only in a drama.
I think Haruto might have a stronger role in the coming episodes.
Because so far the last episodes talked about how her and her parents are dealing with the disease, and episode 6 talked about how her and her sibilings are... so maybe future episodes will focus a bit more on her personal life

This is kinda random, but did you guys know Narumi Riko (Aya's sister, the older one) is only 13?! I thought she would be just little younger than Aya in real life, she's very mature looking!

wow...i havent' seen such a family-oriented drama that made my heart wrench in a long time..

though there's not that much romance going on, it still pulls me in..just watching the young girl slowly deteriorate i can't help putting myself in her place and thinking how I would have coped with it..

the girl who plays aya does a really good job and she's sooo cute..
